I promised you all an update for Timmy and Armie: Consider it a little Christmas present. Happy Christmas to you all, mine starts tomorrow night, Christmas Eve, because I have a danish mother in law and the danish tradition is having dinner with the family and presents on Christmas Eve.

I got two new decks today in a beautiful shop here in the Netherlands, one of my favorites because they have so many beautiful things and good quality decks.

Armie wants to stand his ground, but his heart and his head are in a constant battle. I feel he knows his love for Timmy is not going away, it's a very unconditional type of love. Even if he knows that it would be easier to move on, he hesitates to let go fully. This love between them has the potential to be one of the greatest I have witnessed in my life and I think Armie feels it, but he wants to be taken seriously and be loved.

Lots to unpack: it's a bit messy and contradictory.

I feel Armie is going back and forward in his head; what is he going to do about Timmy's birthday. I think they will not meet at Christmas probably. Too many hurdles and too much uncertainty about where they stand with each other. But not reaching out to Tim on his birthday is something Armie is not to keen on, even though they're not on the best of terms right now. , because it will hurt Timmy tremendously. He doesn't want to hurt him.

Timmy is all over the place. He has worked too hard and feels a bit manic to be honest. He really has to slow down after this campaign but knowing him he tries to forget his troubles by avoiding talking about them and by running away and working.

I'm not sure, but there seems to be some financial loss, or possibly a theft of money for Timmy.

Amari, the lady of Anbotoko

✴ Who is Mari?

Also known as Anbotoko Mari, Mari Urraca and Murumendiko Dama and Anbotoko Dama; this illusive feminine goddess is the main deity and the central figure of Basque Paganism; mostly being known and seen as a personification of Amalur (mother earth) and in another accounts as the Mother Earth herself.

Besides this, she is also the goddess that is responsible for the fertility of the land and storms (most specifically hail storms) a duty she is said to perform every friday with her consort, the ctonic serpent Sugaar.

However, she does not need Sugaar to perform her task entirely, for she herself can create storms on her own when she travels inbetween her palaces on the chasms of the earth, this journey influencing the weather as she moves from one mountain palace to the other.

Her main sit however, is in a cave in Anbotoko that she has her main throne from which she is served by a court of sorgiñas (sorginak) who are beings that stand between myth and real life (in some accounts they are her priestesses and in others folkloric witches who spread mischief across the land).

She is known to travel the skies in either a crescent fiery chariot, a ball of flame or a goat that she keeps as a companion.

But with how beautiful and royal she is, she is as equally cunning: a natural shapeshifter who is described as a woman in royal clothes and long hair but also with the long claws, goat feet or a red shadow surrounded by serpents holding a sickle; her weapon of choice to punish those who go against her values, making her a fierce goddess of the Home and Justice.

However, being both destruction and creation, justice and retribution one could argue that Mari is in her deepest essences a merging of opposites, embracing the dualities of material reality just as nature around us does.

Being a protector of the home, whose essence resides in the hearthfire, the basques believed that any oath swore by it was officialized by Mari herself, thus it must be fullfilled to its end. Oathkeeping is incredibly important to this goddess, as she despises those who cannot keep their word.

Learning Lenormand - A Beginner's Guide (Pt. 1)

The History and Origins of Lenormand

The Lenormand card system has its roots in 18th-century Europe and is named after the famous French fortune-teller, Marie-Anne Lenormand (1772–1843). Though Lenormand herself didn’t create the deck, she gained fame for reading cards for notable figures like Napoleon Bonaparte and Empress Josephine. Her reputation as a powerful seer contributed to the spread of card divination under her name.

Interestingly, the deck we know today as the Petit Lenormand actually began as a board game called the Game of Hope, created by a German man named Johann Kaspar Hechtel around 1799. Today I’m sharing some collage art I made for my journals capturing my practice and working within a dual faith! Both sides show saints, Mary, and pagan figures and folk spirits I love like Holda, her epithets Frau Perchta and Frau Holle. One side has mountains, snow, local landscape and “the heavens”, witches flying on walpurgisnacht, while the other has forests, shrines, candles, spindles and lenormand. I find a feeling of love praying a rosary for a feast day, making holy water, doing divination with a bible as I do looking up at the clouds asking Holda for protection in a storm, saying thank you to the Buschgroßmutter when I see moss, making offerings on All Souls Day, whispering prayers into my knitting, it all feels like home💙

Trust issues both are suffering from this and they have to move on from it.
