SIREN MIX 002: AFRODEUTSCHE

Introducing British born Ghanaian/Russian/German composer & producer AFRODEUTSCHE for the second instalment of our mix series.

Up-and-coming producer AFRODEUTSCHE serves up swathes of sub-bass and rugged beats on SIRENMIX002. Having previously performed with the Sisters of Transistors electronic organ group, as well as composing a section of acclaimed documentary Baraka, her eclectic musical background makes for diverse and unpredictable sets, as exemplified by her shows on NTS Manchester.

In her own words: “Creating mixes is relativity new to me. there was no one concept, only that i like to put things together which I want to dance to. I love the repeat, the relentless and dark bass lines... noise and melody play a big part in this mix, I like creating sounds that may seem unpleasant to some, but have pace and groove.”

Following a summer playing gigs in London and her home city of Manchester, AFRODEUTSCHE has secured live shows alongside Elysia Crampton and Dopplereffekt in the coming months. Look out for her debut album coming very soon!
