this has been me warding off my thirst for gojo until i finish my blade project

Sooo this morning, my mom mentioned how it's getting closer to Christmas, and that the devil steps up his temptation game during that time because he is against people spreading the gospel. And apparently he hates Christmas especially much. I asked her about it again and she just said "you don't experience this, because you're not a Christian."

So I did the only logical thing, I asked Lucifer. Here's what he told me (with permission to share):

"People's experiences are a reflection of themselves and their beliefs. It could be a self fulfilling prophecy of course, but during the dark times, the veil is thinner. Negative energy attracts negative spirits, so if there's a manipulative force in someone's life, it will be especially strong during the winter months, when Christmas happens to be.

"During summer, you simply feel more connected and positive, because you have the sun and share more time with other people. So the "temptation" of any negative force won't be as bad. Wether it's the own emotions weighing someone down, or a benevolent entity.

"If someone believes there to be an evil adversary who makes life hard for them, it's easy for negative spirits to get a hold of them. That's why religious people are always the first to be scared of a curse. They believe in it's power the most."

Me: "Are you saying that people who believe in the devil as the personified source of all evil, who has access to people, are all being haunted by negative spirits?"

"Not all of them, but quite a handful, yes. It's because they allow them in. The fear makes them more receptive to these energies. Fear is quite a negative emotion. What doesn't scare you can't harm you. But people who are scared of the devil quite literally attract their own 'devil'.

"Whenever something goes wrong, they'll say 'ah, the devil is attacking me!' The spirits will hear this and know, there is a person receptive to tricks and games by the supernatural. They see demons everywhere, so 'demons' will feel comfortable around them.

"They [the negative spirits] want that attention. They can't actually do these grand schemes that people blame them for, but they love to get credited for it. And because people who are scared of dark forces are rarely the ones who know how to banish them, these entities make themselves a home with that person.

"And when the veil is thin, they'll play their games. And as long as they're being acknowledged by that person, they'll stick around."

So, this not only means that protection is important, especially during these dark times, but also to not be scared of the "dark forces". The more power we give to them, the more power they hold over us. (This does not apply to literal depression or anything of the kind btw)

Stay safe out there, practice protection magic and don't forget to cleanse your space every now and then :)

You are only somewhat dizzy from hunger, and from the dim lighting and constantly flickering candles. But you have since stopped asking Hoseok to just turn on a lamp; he seems to think that if he prays surrounded by candles and burnt offerings of incense and twigs, those prayers for your recovery may be answered. 

9. 🤔 What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

i feel like i have been saying this for over a year at this point, but i really want to write a pistilverse fic!!! i have something very dramatic in mind that involves pistilverse & hanahaki disease but i have just not found the time or energy to explore it, yet. it's on a list of ideas for future wips. for now.
