Products gifted for free by Le Mini Macaron in exchange for my honest review on BeautyTap. First impression was that the lamp was could break easily (the charger cord was short and as a result if you tried using the lamp on a table, it could fall off). It worked really well, and I was impressed that the polish hardly chipped except on the tip. So no huge chips like with other polishes I've used. These press ons and the polish lasted me around 17 days (and I could have re-glued them on for longer, so I saved them to do so). I am definitely suggesting this to people looking for a polish that doesn't chip easily. You simply put the nail into the lamp to cure it between each layer of polish, and my favorite thing about this was that there was no top coat or base coat needed with this brand. It was an all in one polish, and I will definitely be buying it in other colors.
As an Amazon associate I earn from qualifying purchases. These press on nail sheets were something I received as part of the Amazon Vine review program for free in exchange for my honest review, and you can buy them here:

DAY IN THE LIFE — fame dr 'CHILL DAY' edition
⋆ 8:30 AM – rise and shine in my gorgeous, light-filled apartment overlooking the pulse of paris near the opera garnier. the sun filters through elegant french windows as i slide out of bed in that loewe "i told ya" t-shirt (reference to challengers and jfk jr, hello????). making make a fresh coffee, lounging back on your plush couch with a journal in hand.
⋆ 9:15 AM – time for makeup, and the morning glow-up begins. walking to the pristine, marble-tiled bathroom, as i start with dior prestige la micro-huile de rose for that lit-from-within radiance. next, dior forever skin veil SPF 20 goes on as primer, adding a layer of sheer perfection. then comes the dior forever glow foundation, finished with a touch of YSL touche eclat for a much needed radiance, especially after that...uh, shameful night of over-sweetened margaritas.
bronzed with chanel les beiges healthy glow, cheekbones looking enviable and effortless. i sweep hermès' rose hermès silky blush across my cheeks for that subtle parisian flush. for eyes, it's the dior 5 couleurs couture palette in soft browns with a little extra shimmer from chanel's LES 4 OMBRES for that delicate, specific victoria secret's look. IDUN mineral's SILFR mascara and charlotte tilbury pillow talk lip liner with gucci rouge à lèvres voile lipstick to finish my look.
⋆ 10:00 AM – curls brushed and outfit on: bootleg jeans, chloé paddington boots, a fitted red knit sweater, and a vintage MIU MIU bag – a look straight out of a pinterest moodboard.
⋆ 11:00 AM – i slip out of my apartment, making my way to BO&MIE near the louvre. i grab a warm, flaky pain au chocolat (because we all need sweet treats in our lives) and a chai latte to go, the perfect balance of cozy and sweet. it’s a quiet sunday, and i take this little ritual down to the seine, settling on a bench to take in the morning lull. imogen heap playing softly in earbuds, a dreamy soundtrack to the sounds of paris waking up around.
⋆ 12:00 PM – i begin a gentle wander through the 1st and 2nd arrondissements, where sunday flea markets pop with trinkets, vintage finds, and that peculiar magic only parisian markets can hold. perusing tables with glimmering jewelry and rare books, picking up an old poetry collection that catches the eye, and maybe a tiny golden charm to hang off my bag or to gift a friend. a few fans recognise me, some shy and some thrilled, and i lean in for pictures with a warm, “i don’t bite!!!!!” 🫶
⋆ 1:30 PM – meeting a friend at VESPER, diving into sushi and cocktails that match the chicness of the moment. the laughter, the cocktails, the buzz makes everything feel light and sparkling. by the time we're done, i've had a few (as per), feeling just woozy enough to make the walk interesting.
⋆ 3:20 PM – with a bottle of water to balance out those cocktails, i head over to the musée de l’orangerie. monet’s water lilies are a calming spell – the colours, the quiet of the museum – all washing over, letting everything slow down for just a beat. besides the previous alcohol makes everything just a bit more technicolour.
⋆ 4:00 PM – galeries lafayette calls, and i'm in for a mini treat. picking out a new lip gloss, maybe a rich red or muted mauve, and stop by ladurée to snag some macarons. meanwhile, phone is buzzing; it’s thé manager, with urgent texts about an absolutely irresistible film offer.
⋆ 5:00 PM – meeting up with another friend, slipping into the comfortable flow of wandering conversation, stopping at a small, antique café for tea. the macarons make a reappearance, and it’s that kind of timeless paris afternoon – where you can talk about everything and nothing and let hours drift by.
⋆ 7:00 PM – friend heads out, leaving me alone at the café. perfect for pulling out a journal, pouring out poems, song drafts, and a little doomscrolling (because even in paris, i'm only human).
⋆ 8:00 PM – dinner with a close circle, back in the spotlight with cocktails, laughter, and some elegant dishes.
⋆ 10:40 PM – finally back in my apartment, the curls loosened, phone nearly dead, and the soft hush of a small headache as the city quiets. i slip into something cozy, nestle into bed with a new book, and drift off feeling like me and paris are all alone together, back to where the day began – calm, sweet, and wholly mine <3

Ideas for Nail Art and Tips for Performing a Gel Manicure at Home
Unbelievably, you can obtain a gel manicure without going to the salon. You can DIY gel nails at home if you have the right equipment. Gel polish can be a better my nails art option for you if your usual polish often smudges or if you simply dislike waiting for it to dry.
Le Mini Macaron, a company that sells at-home gel manicure kits, was founded by Christina Kao. She says that regular nail lacquer needs 20 to 30 minutes to air dry and can still smudge or dent in the hours following application. Gel polish has a unique polymer that needs to be cured under an LED light in order for it to solidify and rapidly dry.
1. Gel Nails: What Are They?
A gel manicure is "a manicure where the product is cured onto the nail using LED or UV lamps," according to Eunice Park, research and development manager at Aprés Nail. Although they don't dry as quickly as conventional polish (nearly instantly), gel nails remain longer without peeling and have a similar appearance to traditional varnish. Curable gel nail extensions known as Gel-X can be utilized if you have short nails and wish to experiment with a longer look.
According to Park, gel manicures give natural nails more tenacity and strength. But it's crucial to take the right precautions, just like with any kind of manicure. The potential of incorrect preparation, use, or removal, she continues, is a drawback. The natural nail can be damaged or made weaker by any of those stages if they are performed incorrectly.
2. What Is the Lifespan of Gel Nails?
Compared to traditional nail polish, one of the main advantages of gel nail polish is how long it lasts. However, there are a few distinct elements that will affect how long your manicure actually lasts. Park states that it relies on the product, the preparation, and the application procedure. For instance, gel manicures can last longer if the right preparation and application techniques are used with Aprés Nail products.
Your manicure will likely last between two and four weeks, though, which is more common. You should never pluck off peeling or grown-out gel polish; instead, soak the polish off after about two weeks to preserve the health and strength of your nails. If you have any questions, be sure to ask your nail technician. If you're doing your own manicure, just follow the directions on your at-home gel kit.
3. Will a Gel Manicure Work for Me at Home?
Yes! You can perform a gel manicure on yourself at home if you have the right supplies and don't mind leaving the house. DIY gel manicures, in Kao's opinion, are excellent choices for people.
4. What tools will I need to create my own gel nails?
You'll need an LED lamp, gel polish, a cuticle stick, a nail file, and remover wraps for when you want to take the polish off for the ideal at-home gel manicure, according to Kao.
The nail file is required to smooth the surface of your nails before to using the cuticle stick to push back your cuticles and applying the first coat of polish, according to Kao. This extends the life of your manicure and helps the polish adhere to your nails better.
5. Can Gel Nails Be Done at Home Without UV Light?
The curing procedure, which calls for an LED light, distinguishes gel polish from conventional lacquer. Without an LED light, Koa asserts, "a gel manicure cannot be finished." "The polish won't dry at all if this step is skipped."
However, certain nail polishes inspired by gel last longer than regular nail polishes and don't require the use of an LED light, such as the Essie Gel Couture Polish. The two-step process provides nails the glossy sheen of classic gel manicures while being chip- and fade-resistant. Make sure to seal mynailsart your polish in place with the appropriate Essie Gel Couture Top Coat. After a week, your Gel Couture manicure may require a second application of top coat.

Pink Vanilla Meringues with Cotton Candy Whipped Cream
If you're a cotton candy lover like me, you've probably discovered how difficult it is to find a really good tasting cotton candy flavoring. I've tried several different brands as in this post and this post. One didn't smell like cotton candy at all and the other, which I loved, is now discontinued! That said, today I made cotton candy meringues using Cotton Candy Pink Vanilla Sugar, and whipped cream filling using Bickford Cotton Candy Flavoring. I was hoping that the actual cotton candy sugar would impart that yummy fairground flavor, but alas, the meringues basically tasted like I had used plain sugar. (They did, however, have a pretty pink color!) Sooo.... I googled Cotton candy flavoring and noticed a brand that I hadn't tried - Bickford. I ordered that, and used it in my whipped cream filling. I really liked it, BUT....(LOL) it still doesn't taste like the real thing to me. It's more like cherry vanilla. Before I began, I whizzed some of the cotton candy sugar in the food processor. I just wanted to be sure that it would melt quickly. I ended up with sugar that was very fine, but not quite powdered. The meringues baked up beautifully! I was lucky to have any left by the time I made the filling because my daughter mini pink kept eating them!! You can't blame her though...wouldn't pretty pink bite sized meringues sandwiched with cotton candy whipped cream be a huge temptation to any child?! Just saying..... PINK VANILLA COTTON CANDY MERINGUES INGREDIENTS: 3 egg whites 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar pinch of table salt (1/8 teaspoon or less) 1 cup powdered sugar or powdered vanilla pink flossugar, divided drop of pink food gel (if) you don't use vanilla pink flossugar Wilton Spring Nonparils 1 cup heavy cream or whipping cream remaining 1/4 cup powdered sugar or powdered vanilla pink flossugar 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy flavoring drop of pink food color (if) you don't use vanilla pink flossugar DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 200 degreesF. Whizz 1 cup vanilla pink flossugar in a food processor until very fine. In a mixing bowl with a wire whisk attachment, beat egg whites until frothy. Add cream of tartar and salt and beat until you get soft peaks. Slowly add the sugar and beat until you get stiff peaks. Place mixture into a piping bag (I use disposable bags) with a star tip (I used Ateco 848 tip) Pipe shapes onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 2 hours, or until meringues become crisp. For the whipped cream, into a chilled bowl with chilled beaters, Beat cream, sugar, cotton candy flavoring, (and food gel if not using flossugar), until you get firm peaks. Place filling into a piping bag fitted with any tip (I used a small star tip) and pipe filling on half the meringues. Sandwich with the remaining halves and serve immediately. The number of meringues you get depends on how big you pipe them. I got around 60 meringues, which is 30 meringue sandwiches. or....you can do what I do and sample one!! Now I'm gonna make myself and mini pink a cup of Earl Grey, sit back and enjoy a couple of these beautiful meringues!! Wish you were here!! xo!

Meringue Recipe
Perfect Swiss Meringue Buttercream - Sally's Baking Addiction
Meringue Kisses Recipe. The perfect dollop of meringue baked into a crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside cookie.I’d like to tell you that my relationship with meringue has always been a loving one but that would be a lie. One minute meringue is my best friend and the next she’s the “mean girl” snickering behind my back.It took me five batches to get this recipe and process right. I probably should’ve quit after the third batch but to be completely honest I was ticked and fueled to get it right. I had tried both the swiss meringue method and the egg whites straight in the mixer method and had issues with both. They all tasted good and a had a lovely crunch and chew but in the last few minutes of baking they would get pits and indentations (not cracks), if I had to compare it to something I would say it looked like acne scars. The internet wasn’t much help, one article would tell me too much mixing, the next not enough mixing, the next not enough sugar, the next too much sugar, argh… exhausting. So I took a combination of methods and did the opposite of what I had been doing and it worked. The method mine is closest to is the Meringue Girls method. I just added a tad more sugar to be on the safe side. And I baked my sugar before hand, which seemed odd to me but hey it worked so odd it is. In my previous batches I whipped the meringue on medium/high speed. For this batch I went full on high speed. Making these tweaks worked! I finally achieved the smooth glossy surface I had been looking for and a technique I will continue to go back to.Some suggestions. Use a template to make even, same sized meringues (download my free template here – meringue template). I made my circles about 1 inch in diameter. I printed two sheets and placed them on the cookie sheet under my parchment. When it comes time to bake I remove the templates by gently pulling them out from under the parchment. If you are using a silpat or other silicone baking sheet just place mat down on the cookie sheet, then the templates and then the parchment. You will need to keep the parchment on top of the silicone but this will not interfere with the baking. If you’re in the mood for some of these light crispy meringue kisses give this method a try.Enjoy!StaceyIf you like meringue here are a few more meringue based recipes you may like:Butterscotch Pecan Dacquoise CakeCranberry Peach PavlovaPIN FOR LATER! Line baking sheet with parchment. Line a second baking sheet with templates and parchment. Using the first baking sheet add the caster sugar, keep it grouped together in the center (if spread too thin it will caramelize.) of the baking sheet. Bake 7 minutes. Add egg whites into bowl of mixer, start mixing on low and then gradually increase the speed to high and whisk until stiff peaks form. You want a nice smooth meringue. Take the hot sugar out for the oven and reduce oven temp to 210 degrees F. With mixer on high speed add in the sugar one spoonful at a time until all sugar is added. (any carmelized bits do not need to be added). Continue mixing on high speed until a smooth and glossy stiff peaks form and sugar has been dissolved. This will take about 5-7 minutes. You can test the mixture by putting a little between two fingers and rubbing together, it should be smooth and not grainy. Place mixture into piping bag fitted with a round tip (I used Ateco #808). Get the second baking sheet you prepared with the templates. With tip 1 inch above the template and angled straight up and down above the template squeeze the meringue out of the piping bag and let it build to desired shape, when ready stop squeezing and pull bag up and away to create the pointed tip. Repeat until all are finished. Bake 30-40 minutes, meringues should be come off the parchment clean. Let cool. Keyword meringue kisses, meringues Tried this recipe?Let us know how it was!

Products gifted for free in exchange for my honest reviews on BeautyTap. I got into this amazing and exclusive VIP round! I’ll be doing a separate post about the manicure set bc I have so many pictures of the process that this four picture collage couldn’t fit in. Full reviews for each product can be read here.
I was very pleasantly surprised that I was really happy with most of these products. The shampoo and conditioner bar from Brixy were basically fragrance free. I couldn't really smell either the vanilla or the coconut this bar was meant to be scented as. The conditioner bar did a decent job. My test for how good a conditioner is, when I first get out of the shower I comb out my hair without any post shower treatments. This one passed the test. The shampoo also left my hair squeaky clean. So if you aren't big into fragrances, this would be an option for you.
My favorites were definitely the Le Mieux serum and the Le Mini Macaron LED nail set. The Le Mieux serum left my skin feeling firm and moisturized. And the nail polish stayed on well without any big chips for more than two weeks. It will get its own post soon. Lastly the Remedy Plant Lab helped my hair look lustrous and healthy.

PASTEL RAINBOW ~
For this nail art, I did a rainbow gradient using pastel colors. To spice it up, I tried for the first time the “Kittycorn Magic” kit from Le Mini Macaron. This set contained a chrome powder, a silicon applicator and a top coat (that I didn’t use because I didn’t like it).
The brand describes the powder as “holographic”, I would say that it’s more iridescent than holographic. This was the first time that I used chrome powder and I have to say that at first it wasn’t easy to have an even result. Also, the effect is quite subtle and cool I think.
Polishes I used :
OPI : Sweet Heart
Maybelline : Mint For Life
Maybelline : Eternal Lilac
Maybelline : Sea Sky
Sinful Colors : Jaune Pastel
Bourjois : Palm Peach
Le Mini Macaron : Kitticorn Magic
