Happy #WATSWednesday everyone! This week I'm delving into my nail care routine - including how I create my own nail art manicures at home!

First impression was that the lamp was could break easily (the charger cord was short and as a result if you tried using the lamp on a table, it could fall off). It worked really well, and I was impressed that the polish hardly chipped except on the tip. So no huge chips like with other polishes I've used. These press ons and the polish lasted me around 17 days (and I could have re-glued them on for longer, so I saved them to do so). I am definitely suggesting this to people looking for a polish that doesn't chip easily. You simply put the nail into the lamp to cure it between each layer of polish, and my favorite thing about this was that there was no top coat or base coat needed with this brand. It was an all in one polish, and I will definitely be buying it in other colors.

Went on an online spending spree this morning 🫣oops… but I have new le mini macaron nail polish coming (you know the ones with the led lamps that are in the shape of macarons?!) Vous aviez la main et vous l’avez rendue à des inconnus, comme on remet son épée à l’ennemi. Vous n’êtes déjà plus, par votre seule faute, ce héraut des salons et des réseaux, prophète parfumé venu tourmenter les certitudes feintes des bourgeois encanaillés. Vous qui baisiez avec un bel appétit leurs épouses dévergondées et rougissantes, vous voilà qui biaisez en bafouillant, la virilité en berne, le regard fuyant, conscient de risquer le jugement lapidaire, le licenciement sec. 5. Can Gel Nails Be Done at Home Without UV Light?

I was very pleasantly surprised that I was really happy with most of these products. The shampoo and conditioner bar from Brixy were basically fragrance free. I couldn't really smell either the vanilla or the coconut this bar was meant to be scented as. The conditioner bar did a decent job. My test for how good a conditioner is, when I first get out of the shower I comb out my hair without any post shower treatments. This one passed the test. The shampoo also left my hair squeaky clean. So if you aren't big into fragrances, this would be an option for you.

My favorites were definitely the Le Mieux serum and the Le Mini Macaron LED nail set. The Le Mieux serum left my skin feeling firm and moisturized. And the nail polish stayed on well without any big chips for more than two weeks. It will get its own post soon. Lastly the Remedy Plant Lab helped my hair look lustrous and healthy.

PASTEL RAINBOW ~

For this nail art, I did a rainbow gradient using pastel colors. To spice it up, I tried for the first time the “Kittycorn Magic” kit from Le Mini Macaron. This set contained a chrome powder, a silicon applicator and a top coat (that I didn’t use because I didn’t like it). 

The brand describes the powder as “holographic”, I would say that it’s more iridescent than holographic. This was the first time that I used chrome powder and I have to say that at first it wasn’t easy to have an even result. Also, the effect is quite subtle and cool I think.

Préparation du réveillon

C’est un peu difficile, mais pour des raisons pratiques, je vais passer le réveillon de Noël seule. Ce n’est pas grave car le réveillon est déjà organisé en visio avec des amis. Par contre si je suis seule, je n’ai pas lésiné sur la marchandise :

Homard - macarons fois gras - médaillons de fois gras - feuilletés aux escargots - saumons fumées - blinis - tarama - mini choux à la crème - toasts briochés - brioches (pour le foie gras, c’est une merveille au lieu des simples toasts ou du pain d’épice) - champagne - truffes aux chocolats (que je vais faire).

J’ai au moins à mangé pour trois jours, mais trois jours où ça va être la fête du bon miam !
