I was gonna just DM this to Roddy on discord but the true form of our bullshit is leaving shit for the other to find on Tumblr in the morning. Anyway, couldn't sleep so the Dragon Age brainrot kicked in and while debating if Brennan had phantom pains of the mark flaring like it does in Trespasser despite being gone 8 or so years I realized something fun.
Brennan wasn't close to Solas, he didn't think, he always thought he got on Solas's nerves (he was genuinely no where close to the punching him scene though) but honestly Solas liked his genuine curiosity and willingness to at least hear out other's opinions, especially as a leader how he weighed everyone's thoughts before acting, best he could at least. He tried and so Solas appreciated that.
But he didn't think Solas would ever hurt him either and definitely not this so I think at some point, if Veilgaurd allows it or if I can make it a scene, Brennan is going to demand to know "I don't understand. What did I do wrong?"
Just cause I think it would be really devastating for Solas to realize Brennan thinks he did this because Brennan fucked up some how. And has thought this for eight years.
