Zajok a nappaliból – Traxelektor 2021 11

Kétezertizenkilencben a Staatsballett Berlin Richard Siegal koreográfus vezetéssével előadta az Oval című kortárs táncdarabot a Berlini Állami Operaházban.  Az előadás zenéjét Carsten Nikolai (Alva Noto) szerezte. Érdekes megfigyelni, miképp manifesztálódik a táncosok testén és mozgásán keresztül, a tudomány és művészet szintézisében fogant zeneisége.

Az előadás zenei anyag adja azt a kilenc tracket, amellyel indul Alva Noto új sorozata a HYbr: ID (korábbiak  Trans-, Uni- és legutóbb a Xerrox széria). Az albumhoz csodás vizuális segítséget ad a trackenként felvázolt grafikai séma, afféle mentális összeszerelési útmutató, ami nagyon szórakoztató – de én a térképeket is szeretem. Egy fokkal jobb, mikor meg is mozdul kicsit:

Dj Crimson Dávid ajánlásával jött szembe Laurine Frost vicces nevű pszeudójának, a Haramia Tapes-nek a már második albuma, a Daydreaming. Az első Pfunk-ról (2017) lemaradtam, az úriember saját néven publikált tavaszi albumáról, a Nymfáról két track is traxelektálódott májusban. A Daydreaming néggyel szerepel novemberben. Az, hogy 3-4 éve tudom ki az a Laurine Frost, de azt nem, hogy a Kunság szülötte, tudatlanságom és felületességem bizonyítéka.

Remegő kézzel próbálnám behúzni az Abony-Bristol tengelyt a trip-hop és absztrakt térképén, de hallom, mögöttem szürkeskálázik az árnyék, miszerint: gyere, üvölcsd a csatorna és doverold ide hogy la mancha. Mélyen twisztelt publikum, most Efemer Edömér, a kvantumidomár megsimogatja a fotont a fotón. Ki nem atográfia, annyit is ér. Kelj fel! Én ismerem ezt a zenét, csak nem így! Sok mély tónus, nem hivalkodó, semmiféle műviséget nem hallató ritmika, finom por lepte terek, halkan sikló enterek és őrök. Komolyra fordítva, árnyékba hajítva  a vonalzót, a lemez hibátlan, kevés mozzanat, füstökbe vetített történet, az egyensúlyát a dinamikája adja, egy hibája azért van: lehetne hosszabb.

A Karél Köztársaság Oroszország Finnországgal és Norvégiával valamint a Fehér tengerrel határos állama, másfél hazánknyi területtel, és harmad fővárosunknyi lakossal, erdőkkel, mocsarakkal, tavakkal. Itt él - vagyis sejthetően a főváros Petrozavodszkban -  Sergey Suokas, akinek 2007 óta épülő életművében az eklektikus folktronic, avant- és deep techno, ambient, sőt field recordings variánsai váltogatják egymást. A szintén helyi Laes Labelnél jelentek meg szeptemberben, a tajga rejtekében Unreleased I és II című válogatásalbumai, szimplán Suokas néven. A hangzás meglehetősen bárdolatlan, rusztikus mint az ottani éghajlat, széltépte, fagyrágta és vízmosta. A tempo és ritmika is változatos, ami techno, se feltétlen egyenes, rendre be van oltva jungle, break sőt ebm, ipari elemekkel, de amit mindenképp szeretnék hangsúlyozni, nem trendi, nem másolat, főleg a kollázs jelleg miatt. A II. számú anyag lényegesen érdekesebbre sikeredett, mint az első, ezért az Unreleased II landolt a legjobbak között.

Marco Shuttle évről évre okoz örömet kiadvány szereplő kompozícióival (Lux et Sonus, Quatarsi, Ritmo Elegante, Inner Euphoria). Szerzeményei gyakran a slágeresség határán mozognak, mégis abszolút underground figurának számít Marco Sartorelli, mert mélyen rétegzett textúrákba, és virtuóz ritmikába csomagolja dallamait. A new yorki Incienso labelnél megjelent Cobalt Desert Oasis albumot Marco utazási élményei inspirálták. a közép amerikai és iráni dobok, önmagukban is melodikus elemként adják az alapot, de érezhető a távolság, az elidegenítettségük a művek egészét illetően. Szóval adva van egy szinte élő, kézzel lejátszott, lüktető dinamika, és egy hűvös, dubbá fátyolosított lepel, vagy mint az Acrobat-ban a szokásos Marco-féle elektronika.

Luke Slater, mint valami jó pszichoterapeuta a vesztegzár idején, az Ostgut Ton Fünfzehn + 1 válogatására szerzőpárokat kért fel. Bár a meglehetősen heterogénre sikeredett album színvonala messze nem nevezhető egyenletesnek, azért létrejött néhány emlékezetes duett. A legizgalmasabb a latin jin-jang JASSS ( Silvia Jiménez Alvarez ) és Silent Servant (John Juan Mendez) pár Años Perros-a. A Luke Slater x Barker kettős Gumbo-ja nekem erősen „mire gondolt a művész” jellegű köd, ellenben az nd_baumecker & Nick Höppner (idm techno maszat), illetve Terence Fixmer & Phase Fatale (ipari technomarch) duel működött. S végül Atom™ & tobias. (Uwe Schmidt és Tobias Freund) már jól betornászott párosa, akik számtalanszor dolgoztak már együtt, ám most valami nagyon elpattant, és keletkezett valami egészen megmagyarázhatatlanul erős kerek 5 percnyi hasadás, őrület. A durva, hogy ez egy klasszikus  Atom™ track, na de anélkül, hogy túlzásokra ragadtatnám magam egy Uwe Schmidt életműre vonatkozólag: szerintem a One Final Thing (Not Zero) az Atom™ sztori egyik csúcspontja, megköszönve az alkotótársnak. A hónap végére megérkezett JASSS második albuma is. A World of Service szintén az Ostgut Tonnál jelent meg. A bevállalós, fülbetűnően markáns hangzással bíró Silvia - sajnos - a vokálok és vokoderek felé fordult, amiben egyrészt hallhatóan nem olyan jó, másrészt ebben hasít a fél világ, a popról nem is beszélve. Egyetlen felvétel se jutott el a Traxelektorig az albumról, hatalmas csalódás.

Dang-Khoa Chau művészneve esetében - Đ.K.- közélettől mérgezett aggyal felmerül a kérdés, hogy hány százalék gyurcsány? A Párizsban tevékenykedő neve és fizimiskája alapján is gyaníthatóan ázsiai migráns fiatalember kapcsán vannak kétségek, és az album meghallgatása közben is végig ott bújkált a háttérben a gyurcsány szál - éreztem. A Gate Of Enlightenment a 7-8 éve aktív alkotó nyolcadik albuma, egyértelműen hordozza a kelet ázsiai hangzásvilág sajátosságait, amiket ellenállás, vagy bármiféle erőszakoltság nélkül vegyít a kortárs downtemp elektronika elemeivel. A gyökerek pedig a buddhista szakralitás felé nyúlnak, és ebben se érezni semmiféle hajánál fogva iderángatott, belinkelt gondolatot, formai elemet, gesztust, nincs semmi manír, tökéletes harmóniában áramlik a chi, míg végül hét fázison át eljutunk a megvilágosodás kapujáig.

Blawan továbbra is útkeresésben, vagy legalább is nekem úgy tűnik, hogy az utóbbi évek EP-jei közelében nem jártak az 5-6 pláne 9-10 évvel ezelőtti magasságoknak. Nos, a Woke Up Right Handed ötszámos EP is jókora csüggedéssel indul, de aztán a közepén az a Close the Cycle, na az egy olyan bólogatós szinkópás szinticsavar, ami a The Chemical Brothers hőskorszakának (Dig Your Own Hole) legjobb acid-es csavarásait hozza vissza. A záró No Rabbit No Life is ad okot reménykedésre.

A Lebegő Gömböc Közösségi Finanszírozású Nyugdíjasklub (The Orb) alapító és még aktív vezetőjének Duncan Alexander Robert Patersonnak egy másik ex klubtaggal Fil Le Gonidec-kel indított projektje, az OSS érkezett első albumával. Az Enter The Kettle (Classified As A Weapon) a klasszikus bolond diszkós időket hozza vissza, vagy legalább is az Orb életmű azon részével mutat közös vonásokat, amikor részeg mikulások masíroztak a cseppfolyós világűr végtelenjébe a háttérben, a kocsit csattogó, lényegében house dobokkal hajtották meg, dubbal olajozták a mozgó alkatrészeket, és a random üres tereket a klasszikus orbi ambient felhőkkel töltötték ki az alkotók.

This winter we have only had one time the temperature dropped below freezing. The plants browned a bit but for the most part stayed green. We have set up a green house on the porch for our potted plants. The plants in the ground have to deal with the weather, come what may! This is a shot of our south bed. We call it our warm bed because most of the plants here flower in shades of yellow. The leaves of the Lime Sizzler™ Firebush, Hamelia patens ‘Grelmsiz’ PP26247 are yellow gold and stand out when they catch the light.

And even the Saratoga Gold Yaupon holly has yellow berries.

What has caught my eye this morning is the Copper Canyon daisies. 

That have gone crazy and even grown through the fence. The pretty glass flower is a gift from our friend Linda. It fits perfectly into this bed.

Copper Canyon daisy, Tagetes lemmonii

I found this description on the Central Texas Gardener website. “Copper Canyon daisy is native to the Sonoran desert of Southern Arizona and Northern Mexico. This perennial shrub is very drought-tolerant and suffers if soil is kept too wet, so good drainage is important. On heavier soils, consider planting in berms amended with decomposed granite.

Plant in full sun to part shade. Include in low-water succulent designs to complement structural plants.

Copper Canyon daisy gets about 3-6’ feet in height and can spread just as far.

Its narrow, pungent leaves deter deer (usually!).

Blooming mainly in late summer through fall, it can also flower in late spring. Its small, golden yellow flowers attract bees and butterflies.

In most winters, top growth will die back after the first frost. Shear back to the ground in late winter/early spring. If it blooms in spring, trim it lightly in early summer to reinvigorate the plant and encourage summer foliage and fall blooms.”

We have never had them grow so big. They froze to the ground last winter. It is such a treat to be greeted with the sunny daisy like flowers. As I continued on to the west bed, a hodgepodge of perennials and annuals, I found two Monarch caterpillars. I think it is a bit late for them. We really need to cut back the Tropical milkweed but it keeps blooming and there have been a steady stream of pollinators coming through the garden this winter. We are careful to source our Asclepias curassavica from sources that don’t spray it with harmful chemicals. This milkweed is from the genus, Asclepias. It is native to the American tropics.

Continuing on north I noticed that the Purple Tubeflower Iochroma has a few clusters of flowers. Rare to see it so well into winter. On closer inspection I noticed the bee. Pretty good shot for a mobile phone (Samsung 7 Edge)

And right next door is Ember’s Wish™ Salvia. This sage has been blooming since last spring.  It is a bright beacon for the bees and is often covered in them.

It is a real treat to have so much color in the middle of winters. Last year we were looking out at brown. We have a few small deciduous trees which really show off their structure in winter. He is our Ginkgo Biloba ‘Weeping Wonder” under-planted with Texas Bluebonnets.

Finishing my trip with the north bed. Where only the Euphorbia, Diamond Frost® and Oxalis Triangularis, Purple Shamrock are blooming. This bed has mostly purple flowers.  will be lovely in spring. The plant that looks like clumps of grass is Hypoxis hirsute, commonly called Goldstar, hairy Star grass, Yellow Star grass. It will have yellow flowers. Will post when it is in bloom.

amikor életem első, egyébként vangelis (!) kazettáját megvettem, biztos nem hittem volna hogy egyszer még egy olyan lemezért fogok majdhogynem rajongani, amiben igazából nagyon nincs más, csak dob. nade milyen dobok!

érdemes meghallgatni rögtön a beetető számot, a harpert (lsd. fönt – a szerk.). 

már itt eldől, hogy van e miről beszélni, ha valakinek bejön ez az óvatosan ravaszkodó, iszonyú okos ritmusképek és a pont a 'down' határán tartott tempó, némi kémfilm hatású alappal, és kifinomult minimalizmussal, az úgyis zabálni fogja, akinek meg nem, annak egyébként ajánlom a vangelis kazettámat. külön számot nem is lehet kiemelni az epről, annyira egységes trip az egész, sötét, jazzes borongás, semmiből jövő, semmibe tartó témákkal, nekem leginkább deru legjobb pillanatai ugranak be róla. kritikával se nagyon lehet illetni az ilyet, a visszafogottsága úgyis riasztó lesz az erre nem fogékonyaknak, pedig ha figyelmesen hallgatod, több ötlet van benne, mint az utóbbi két bonobó lemezben összesen, mégse fog tized annyi emberhez eljutni az holt ziher.

külön elképesztő, hogy a leginkább egy jarmusch film szereplőjére hasonlító haramia, aki mindezt elkövette, egyébként kishazánk szülötte; 'eredeti' nevén laurine frost (twin peaks?), rengeteg érdekesebbnél érdekesebb felvétel gyártója, alapból főleg technósabb hangulatban, van egy szakasztónyi kiadója (pl not so secret diary, all in records), magamura (!) néven, most albummal debütáló, fület próbáló zaj-ambient izét csinálnak eril fjordal (még mindig árpád fiairól beszélünk héló!), coldfish alteregóval, immár négy éve letett az asztalra egy jéghideg alapvetést, megjárta a boiler roomot, stb, és mindezt úgy, hogy közben nem folyik a csapból, nem lehet minden héten megtalálni őt a fővárosban, ahogy a csillag jár az égen, pontosan és szépen viszi hírét hazánknak.

Magamura "Supernaturals" sees vinyl release

Following their surprising debut on cassette tape last February, Magamura is now putting out the vinyl version of "Supernaturals". Comprised of Eril Fjord and Laurine Frost, the Hungarian duo have carved out their reputation through live performances at renowned festivals and venues like Arma in Moscow.  Combining Eril's indie aesthetic with the electronic music prowess of Laurine, the combination is much more than the sum of its parts.  Despite their huge influence from experimental music of the 70s and 80s , Supernaturals is not so much a retrospective as it is an ominously dystopian premonition.  It captures and distils their well-known improvisational mutability into a testament of their promising potential, which will stand the test of time.  This is Kebko Music’s first instalment on vinyl.  Following our tradition of carefully-wrought artwork, the LP comes in a gatefold sleeve designed by Damien Tran.
