can't help but think all hero women in watchmen suffer some sort of sexual violence
sally is almost raped by the comedian
laurie is essentially groomed by jon and ends in a relationship with a man thats like 10yrs older
ursula (silhouette) is a special case but her death is still linked to her sexuality
the only other women with the little of importance to the plot i can remember are
sylvia kovacs, who is a prostitute
janey slater, jon's ex-wife who is switched for a younger woman
kitty genoveve/blair roche, pratically faceless victims of violence in rorschach's backstory
the only other alan moore work i've read was The Killing Joke (i know, i gotta read more), which contains the infamous fridging and sexual assault of main hero Barbara Gordon, i... understand why people criticize the way he writes women
