♫ Chowanschtschina von Modest Mussorgski in der Hamburger Staatsoper
Aufführung der Oper Chowanschtschina am 18. November 2010 mit Matti Salminen, der an diesem Tag sein 40jähriges Bühnenjubiläum an der Hamburger Staatsoper feiert. Schöne, dunkle Stimmen dominieren diese Opernaufführung. Als Mittelpunkt des Abends sei Matti Salminen genannt mit seinem schwarzen Bass, gepaart mit darstellerischen Talent. Meine Favoritin des Abends ist Elena Zaremba als Marfa mit ihrer warmen, tiefen Stimme. Ebenfalls volltönend und dunkel die Stimme von Tigran Martirossian als der Priester Dossifej. Inszenierung von Harry Kupfer, Bühnenbild von Hans Schavernoch, Kostüme von Reinhard Heinrich Das Bühnenbild der Oper Chowanschtschina von Hans Schavernoch wirkt wie ein Parkhaus von außen. Durch die Betonpfosten fällt der Blick bis zum Bühnenende. In jedem Akt ändert sich der Hintergrund. Hauptsächlich der Chor spielt hinter diesen Mauern. Dieser hervorragende Chor unter der Leitung von Christian Günther singt nicht nur, sondern belebt die Bühne, ohne von der Handlung abzulenken. Calixto Bieto is set to direct a new production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle with an all-star cast.
“Das Rheingold” will star Iain Paterson as Wotan, Lauri Vasar as Donner, Ekaterina Gubanova as Fricka, Anna Gabler as Freia, while “Die Walkure” will be headlined by Jonas Kaufmann as Siegmund, Eva-Maria Westbroek as Sieglinde, Martina Serafin in the role of Brünnhilde, Ekaterina Gubanova as Fricka, Paterson as Wotan, and John Relyea as Hunding.
In the third installment, “Siegfried,” Paterson will take on the Wanderer with Julie Fuchs as the Waldvogel, Martina Serafin as Brünnhilde, and Andreas Schager in the title role.
“Gotterdämmerung” will star Anna Gabler as Gutrune, Ricarda Merbeth as Brünnhilde, Sarah Connolly as Waltraute, Johannes Martin Kränzle as Gunther, and Schager as Siegfried.
Philippe Jordan conducts the entire Ring Cycle.

CAPRICCIO DE LA MONNAIE , OPERA STREAMING AO DOMINGO: ontem assisti com gosto à última opera de Richard Strauss uma " conversa para amantes de Ópera " numa interessante produção da estreia de David Marton jovem director hungaro , discípulo de Castorf e de Christoph Marthaler. « Un opéra est une chose absurde. Les ordres y sont donnés en chantant. Même la politique est traitée en duo ! On danse sur les tombes, on poignarde en musique ! »Dans son ultime opéra, Capriccio, Richard Strauss réfléchit au genre opéra, et plus particulièrement à ce qui doit primer – la musique ou le texte ? Dans cette « Konversationsstück für Musik », le dilemme est représenté de façon métaphorique, avec le choix cornélien auquel fait face une comtesse au XVIIIe siècle : l’amour d’un compositeur ou celui d’un poète ? Le langage sonore de Strauss, plein de force dramatique, d’humour et de sentiments, atteint ici des sommets de délicatesse et flirte parfois avec la musique de chambre.
