Senti meus seios enrijecerem e meu corpo arrepiar. Chupei meus dedos e comecei a me estimular.

rant / rave YA
Huh. That is, like... a very broad subject, hehe.
So, hmm... gonna limit myself to my personal experiences with YA books in English and Spanish.
- One thing I learned in writer’s courses. What we cal “LIJ”, standing for “Literatura Infantil y Juvenil”, meaning “Literature for Children and Teenagers” --is extremely hard to write. And as everything, there is some good one, some bad, and a lot of mediocre.
- I devored 90′s thrillers for teenagers. R. L. Stine, Christopher Pike, Lois Ducan. To a smaller degree, Caroline B. Cooney. And others.
- I see children’s lit as a separate thing, so M. D. Spenser goes there.
- I have tried to get more into contemporary YA and, hmm...
- Enjoyed “The hunger games” trilogy. But the only author I have since consistently read is Lauren Oliver.
- I think that like any other genre / specialty / sub-genre, YA was kind of hurt by the overflowing of the market it had in the late 2000′s - 2010′s. But, like... that happened to Horror in the 80′s, too.
- Also loved “Battle Royale”, while we’re at it. I really want to read Banana Yoshimoto sometime, as long as we’re talking Asian YA.

ARCENEAUX: One Room. Eight Suspects. Many Secrets.
While many TV series and movies over the years have portrayed New Orleans, its people, its daily struggles, and its unique qualities with varying degrees of accuracy, the best representations of each can often be found in productions helmed by filmmakers who truly know and appreciate what makes... http://snobbyrobot.com/2017/01/25/one-room-eight-suspects-many-secrets-13389/

So there have been a few comments on facebook lately on my posts (in the past on tumblr) saying that Dean did not like/love Jerry at all. For anyone who think that Dean Martin did not love/like Jerry Lewis, here are a few facts for you.
1. Dean didn’t have to stay with Jerry at Jerry's home for 2 months, when he left Jeanne  for a short time in 1953, but he did.
2. Dean didn’t have to be in Jerry’s home movie parodies, but he did.
3. Dean didn’t have to stay with Jerry in Carmel at a place together, on yet another occasion where he left Jeanne, but he did. Jerry left his own wife at home, to be with Dean when he left Jeanne!
4. They took vacations together that had nothing to do with touring!
5. No matter what, whenever Dean or Jerry referred to each other after the split up they still called each other “my partner.”
6: There were instances of people saying derogatory remarks about Jerry, where Dean punched them in the face or shot back at them with sarcastic remarks at them depending on the situation. Dean always defended Jerry.
7. When Dean signed with Capitol records, he specified that they sign Jerry too, or they wouldn't have him. (I have an article confirming this)
8. When Jerry had an accident and fell off the stage hurting his spine in 1952. Dean rushed to his side and wouldn't let anyone touch Jerry. He carried him off the stage and into the ambulance. Dean actually cried and couldn't go back on to complete the show. When the theatre manager demanded that Dean complete the show because of their contract, he told him off.
What does this all mean??? Dean loved Jerry, and was his friend! That is why he stuck with him. Also why would Dean in 1966 at the height of his solo career, even entertain the idea of getting back together with Jerry after they reunited at Sy Devore’s funeral. They literally discussed getting back together. Obviously Dean didn’t need the money at that point, so why would he want to get back with the person “who caused him so much aggravation.” Could it be that maybe he missed Jerry???? Here are some quotes that make my point.
“In the beginning of our relationship, Jerry was just wonderful, and I was doing all the funny things that I had always wanted to do. I love to hear laughter, but I couldn’t get laughter just singing. Hearing a whole audience laugh is like getting drunk.“ - Dean Martin
“Oh, God, we had such fun, it was ridiculous. He’s (Dean) doing a number one night and he calls me up. He said, I hope I didn’t interrupt you when you’re busy.” I said “No, I was just standing around listening to you.’ He said, ‘In the middle of the song I thought to myself, I miss him.’ I said ‘That’s why you called me up, because you missed me?’ He said ‘Yeah–now we’re together–isn’t that wonderful?” - Jerry Lewis, Dean and Me
"One of their stage bits calls for Dean to catch Jerry. In Minneapolis on their last tour, Jerry missed a small movement, landed on his back with a sickening crunch and passed out. They rushed him to the hospital, with Dean beside him in the ambulance, racked by the dread that his boy’s back was broken. The doctor couldn’t say until they made a series of tests and had taken some X-rays.Meantime the audience waited. ‘What’ll I do? asked the manager. ‘Refund their money?’ ‘I’ll go back ,’ said Dean. ‘At least I can sing a few songs.’ He stepped out to a tremendous ovation. Halfway through his song, emotion strangled him. He couldn’t choke out so much as a word of apology. He could only turn on his heel and get out of there fast. The manager apologized for him, while he fled back to the hospital and Jerry. Not til dawn did the doctors bring re-assurance. ‘It’s alright. The back isn’t broken. Just some badly torn ligaments that will heal.’ Dean’s face started to crumple, but he controlled it. The tears that misted his vision, he couldn’t control."— “Behind That Riot Act” by Ida Zeitlin Photoplay Magazine, September, 1952
"Our partnership in many ways is a marriage…. I dare say we’ve spent more time together than most married couples do.” - Dean Martin
“I don’t know where he is, but wherever he is, he must be doing just fine, because he has bundles of talent and he’s a wonderful guy.” Dean Martin’s comeback to a heckler saying ‘Where’s Jerry?’
“I’ve said we’ve been together almost a decade. Sometimes as a gag I say it seems more like 15 years. Actually it’s more like five. I trust him implicitly” - Dean Martin
“On the road for six years, while we were mainly doing nightclubs, we roomed together much of the time. We never had a difference of opinion we couldn’t resolve by ourselves and quickly. Indeed, until a bunch of outsiders got into the act, we never had an argument which wasn’t settled by sundown.” - Dean Martin
"When we shook hands on our partnership, I said in my heart, this is forever, ‘til death do us part. It still goes! Sometimes he makes mistakes. Sometimes I make mistakes. But as long as people let us alone, the team of Martin & Lewis will go on.” - Dean Martin
“It was Dean’s 72nd birthday and Jerry surprised him with a cake. It was a touching moment. Jerry walked out singing ‘Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. It’s me, the old Jew, happy birthday to you.’ The crowd went wild and Dean was clearly surprised and didn’t know what to say. In a turnabout from their 1976 reunion, he looked at Jerry and said ‘You’re all dressed up. You working?’ Jerry looked at the cake ‘We would have had 72 candles but with your breath, we’d have had another frickin’ fire.’
Dean said ‘You’re still the best in the whole world.“ Before the curtain closed, they embraced and Dean said "I love you, and I mean it."’
“Maria Lauren Alberici-Riccio (Golddigger, 1973 – 1991): Before the telethon reunion, Dean let us in on the private messages and jokes written with our lipstick that he had been leaving for Jerry Lewis via his dressing room mirror. Jerry played the MGM Grand and had left Dean some razzing but good humored remarks on the mirror prior to our engagement. Dean was like a little boy bragging about it to us, ‘Look at what I wrote to Jerry; look what ‘Crazy’ wrote to me. I answered him real good…’ He was so cute!”

O plano alimentar paleo contém nutrição repleta de proteínas angulares, frutos do mar gordurosos, frutas espumantes e nutrientes básicos e sementes.

Chicken Salad Chick Acquires 11 Restaurants In Georgia
Fast casual concept increases to 32 company operated restaurants including key Atlanta market
Auburn, AL  (RestaurantNews.com)  Chicken Salad Chick, the nation’s only Southern-inspired, fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced today the purchase of 11 existing locations in Georgia from the brand’s largest franchise owner, Origin Development Group. Founded by Darren DeVore and Lauren Fernandez, Origin Development Group established its footprint across Atlanta, Augusta and Athens. Chicken Salad Chick’s corporate acquisition of these restaurants brings the company-owned unit count to 32, and it highlights the brand’s opportunity in Atlanta and continued investment in expanding its footprint throughout the Southeast and beyond. Chicken Salad Chick plans to open 40 additional locations in 2019, which will be a mix of company and franchisee owned.
“Origin Development Group founders Darren and Lauren are truly valued growth partners and have been passionate ambassadors of our brand,” said Scott Deviney, CEO of Chicken Salad Chick. “Atlanta is an important market for us, and in just two and a half years, Origin substantially increased our presence in the area, while successfully managing operations. As one of our largest franchise owners, we sincerely appreciate what Origin has done for Chicken Salad Chick and we are excited to have their restaurant teams join our company operations.”
Darren DeVore and Lauren Fernandez of Origin Development Group originally joined Chicken Salad Chick as franchise partners by acquiring three Atlanta area restaurants in 2016, and then growing to 11 locations. As multi-unit developers, the group worked alongside the brand to create a strategic growth plan that would result in rapid growth and increased visibility in the market. With an average of three new openings a year, Origin has quickly penetrated the greater Atlanta area in Peachtree City, Buckhead, Vinings, Cumming and McDonough.
“When Darren and I created Origin Development Group, one of our goals was to invest as franchisees in emerging brands, but we wanted to make sure we found the perfect match,” said Lauren Fernandez, President of Origin Development Group. “Chicken Salad Chick is simply unique in the fast-casual space, with its made-from-scratch fresh food and Southern-inspired menu. I am proud to have aligned with such an innovative, inspiring company and am thrilled we were able to set the brand up for continued growth and success in the Atlanta market.”
“It’s been an honor to work alongside Chicken Salad Chick’s leadership team and Eagle Merchant Partners to build the brand’s presence in Atlanta, Athens and Augusta,” said Darren DeVore, Managing Partner of Origin Development Group. “There continues to be strong demand for the brand in our markets and we’re pleased to pass the baton to Chicken Salad Chick to drive it forward.”
Stacy Brown, Chicken Salad Chick founder.
The Chicken Salad Chick concept, born in Auburn, was established in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown. When Stacy discovered that the local county health department would not allow her to continue making and selling her delicious recipes out of her home kitchen, she overcame that obstacle by launching her first restaurant with the business expertise of her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant, which quickly grew and began franchising in 2012. In 2015, Eagle Merchant Partners purchased a majority stake in Chicken Salad Chick, and under the leadership of CEO Scott Deviney and team, the company now has 105 restaurants across the Southeast.

The Many Suits of Blake Lively: Suit Showcase
One day ago, on the 22nd of September it was reported that Blake Lively wore a skirt for the first time in months. As part of the publicity to promote her new film, A Simple Favour, Lively has worn a sharp and stylish suit for every public outing and premier. The film, which came out over the weekend, has been heavily promoted by the film’s stars Lively and Anna Kendrick with Lively even going so far as to delete every single one of her Instagram posts in May to promote the ‘Where’s Emily?’ theme. In addition to the deletions, she unfollowed every single person, including husband Ryan Reynolds, and only followed accounts with the name ‘Emily Nelson.’
Tumblr media
In the film, her character, Emily Nelson, is a PR director with a penchant for power suits who befriends Kendrick’s character, Stephanie Smothers. But, she goes missing and it’s Kendrick’s job to try and discover the secret to her best friend’s disappearance. Based on the book of the same name by Darcey Bell, has been reviewed favourably, even by publications such as The New Yorker.
Blake Lively, prior to this year’s film promotion, has been known for her elegant, form-fitting dresses, but seems at ease in these stylish suits. Let’s explore some of the suits that Lively has worn in the last few months.
Double-Breasted Blue Dress
With the exception of her beautiful, show-stopping Met Gala dress in keeping with the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Gala theme ‘The Catholic Imagination’ in early May, Lively’s suits have reigned supreme ever since.
For her first suit on April 26th, Lively turned a double-breasted four button jacket into a dress when she was on stage with co-star Anna Kendrick during CinemaCon during her Lionsgate Presentation for 2018 Summer and Beyond at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Lively looks exceptional with her blue suit jacket dress, patterned stiletto heels, and colourful bow-tie. She pulls her hair back at the sides, allowing the natural wave of her hair to shine.
Manhattan Maroon
On the 17th August, Lively was spotted on the Manhattan streets wearing a long-oversized waistcoat and matching trousers in blue velvet. She paired the look with a maroon blazer and grey duffel bag. When wearing her blazer, Lively daring went with the look unbuttoned completely, but when wearing only the waistcoat, she buttoned the single button. The look is surprising yet smart.
Lime-Green Goddess
Lively is spotted on the streets of Manhattan on the 17th August wearing lime-green from head to toe. She pairs a long single-breasted menswear blazer and black lining with matching neon-lime-green trousers and a tucked-in lime green cable-knit jumper. Her azure blue accessories – cuff bracelet, dangly-tassel earrings, and matching rings – complement the look and highlight her blue eyes. The bright pink lipstick and pulled back hair ensure that the look is pulled off flawlessly.
Fashion Week in September
For New York Fashion Week, Blake Lively is seen with the film’s director, Paul Feig, at the Ralph Lauren fashion show at Bethesda Terrace on the 7th September. She wears a classic tuxedo with a white waistcoat, crisp white shirt, top hat, and cane. Her pom-pom detail shoes add a touch of femininity and her clean makeup and hair showcase her beauty.
Film Premier at the MoMA
Blake Lively arrives at the premier of her film at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on the 10th September wearing a simple black single-breasted suit with a see-through sparkly turtle neck underneath. She wears her hair in a French plait and pairs the look with a pair of Louboutins. The blazer, however, has a surprising black-silver tassel-like lining detail as the coat-tails go almost to the ground.
youtube
Double Trouble
On the 13th September, Lively is spotted in Tribecca in New York wearing two kinds of suit. First, she’s spotted wearing a beautifully cut, slim-fitting navy blue pinstripe suit and grey newsboy hat. She wears Beatles-era circular black-and-white-check sunglasses and black combat-style ankle boots. Underneath is that a peek of midriff or a nude top? The pant legs are cropped so the boots are showcased. She looks confident and edgy-chic. (See image here.)
youtube
Next, she’s seen wearing a velvet trouser and waistcoat combination in black, her hair down and wavy, finished with some black brogues as she heads to her Tonight Show interview with Jimmy Fallon. She wears a sparkly, beaded black blazer with beads that catch the light. The trouser-waistcoat combination almost look like a jumpsuit, but the look is flawless.
Pink Perfection
On September 17th, Lively is seen in a blush pink three piece suit with double-breasted waistcoat. The trousers are slim fit through the hips and wide through the leg and have a satin stripe detail down the leg. Underneath, she wears a matching pink satin long-sleeved blouse with white collar and a powder-blue silk tie. Pointed toe stilettos complete the look.
Velvet Blue Chic
On September 18th, Lively attends the French premier of L’Ombre d’Emily (A Simple Favour) at the Cinema UGC Normandie in Paris. Lively wears a stunning devore suit, blue with velvet detailing. Underneath she wears a velvet top in a blue-purple hue and matching velvet scarf. She pairs the outfit with t-strap stilettos and pulled back hair. The long cut of the single-breasted coat looks elegant with the slim-fitted trousers.
Pinstripe Performance
On September 19th, Lively wears a dark grey pinstripe suit with large, off centre buttons whilst leaving the ‘C A Vous’ TV show in Paris. She wears matching trousers and overcoat, pairing the outfit with a Chanel Mademoiselle rose-patterned bag and t-strap pointed toe stilettos with an ankle strap and beaded detail.
youtube
Blake Lively looks absolutely stunning and flawless no matter what she wears, but she has slayed in her recent wardrobe choices. Lively famously has no stylist so her entire ensembles are of her own creation. Which suit of Lively’s is your favourite? Let us know in the comments.
Check out this bonus video for more Blake Lively suit looks.
