Hi! I was looking to update an FC and replace Jason Momoa because I've heard some promblematic stuff 'bout him and 'cause of age requirements. Do you have any alts or suggestions for a male actor in his early 30s with beach-y vibe or smt like that, tall and more or less muscular and beefy? Preferably Hawaiian, although I'd apreciate if you include other actors of Pacific Islander or Indigenous ancestry.
Marcus LaVoi (1968) Ojibwe.
Joe Naufahu (1978) Tongan, Samoan, White - has spoken up for Palestine!
Mark Kanemura (1983) Samoan, Japanese, White - is gay.
Uli Latukefu (1983) Tongan.
Roman Reigns (1985) Samoan / White.
Martin Sensmeier (1985) Tlingit, Koyukon, Eyak, White.
Lasarus Ratuere (1985) Fijian, Torres Strait Islander, Unspecified Aboriginal Australian.
Keahu Kahuanui (1986) Kānaka Maoli, Japanese, White.
Kalani Queypo (1986) Blackfoot, Kānaka Maoli, White.
Mark Coles Smith (1987) Nyigina.
Alex Tarrant (1990) Niuean, Samoan, Ngāti Pāoa.
Daniel Vidot (1990) Samoan and Irish.
Marlon Teixeira (1991) Brazilian [Portuguese, Unspecified Indigenous, Japanese].
Clarence Ryan (1992) Unspecified Aboriginal Australian.
Beulah Koale (1992) Samoan.
Hunter Page-Lochard (1993) Nunukul, Yugambeh, Haitian, White.
Jordi Webber (1994) Ngāti Toa, Te Āti Awa, Ngāti Raukawa, White / Te Arawa, Ngāti Maniapoto, White.

Ghost In The Shell (2017)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plot: Policewoman Major (Scarlett Johansson) and her partner Batou (Pilou Asbaek) investigate a mysterious hacker called the Kuze (Michael Pitt). But as the two delve deeper into the case, the truth behind it may be more than they bargained for.
Tumblr media
Review: Amidst accusations of white-washing during casting, the 2017 Ghost In The Shell remake arrived touting a new adaptation of the books led by Hollywood megastar Scarlett Johansson.
The end result is something that follows the same arc as the 1995 Manga film, but starting in a different place and with a rather Hollywood ending. While we don’t get a shot-for-shot version of that film, what we do get is a lot of the same scenes but in a different order, and with changed connotations and context. The Major in this film is different from that of the earlier work; her existential worries are present from the start, and her questions of identity a larger part of the story. In this respect, the film feels rather Americanised; it’s not enough that she exists as she is, but we have to know the whys and wherefores.
The story has been changed to iron out a few of the complications, and follows films such as RoboCop and Deus Ex in asking questions about the nature of life while making corporate guys look like assholes. The changes only serve to put more focus on Major’s origins, and the ending leaves things in a different place from the Manga. Johansson’s performance itself is interesting, but carries a different set of demands from what may be expected, the nature of the character altered. Notable standouts from her supporting cast are Asbaek as Batou (picthed perfectly), Michael Wincott’s uncredited cameo (still haven’t seen the guy survive a movie), and the legendary Takeshi Kitano as the chief of Section 9.
What it does share with the previous version is the same reactions afterwards; it leaves several of the same questions hanging in the air, and a feeling that it was a fascinating watch, if not a great one.

Movie Review – Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Movie Review – Ghost in the Shell (2017)
Tumblr media
TL;DR – This is a difficult film to review as it excels in so many different ways, the music, visuals, and it really nails the aesthetics, but something is missing and it just felt more ‘safe’ than anything else. Score – 3 out of 5 stars Review – So it’s the future and the world has moved towards merging the biological and the machine with people adapting themselves with cybernetic implants.…

Hello there! Can I ask for some Tenoch Huerta alts? He fits a new character I'm developing but with everything I've read about him I don't feel comfortable using him anymore. Thank you!
Benjamin Bratt (1963) Peruvian [Quechua] / German, English, Sudeten German.
Rudy Youngblood (1982) Yaqui and Comanche.
Joel Huiqui (1983) Yoreme.
Alex Meraz (1985) Purépecha - the only Purépecha faceclaim I could find around his age!
Diogo Sales (1985) Brazilian [Black and Unspecified Indigenous].
Marlon Teixeira (1991) Brazilian [Portuguese, Unspecified Indigenous, one quarter Japanese].
Not Latine:
Adam Beach (1972) Saulteaux and Icelandic.
Chaske Spencer (1975) Nez Perce, Lakota Sioux, Muskogee, Cherokee, French, Dutch.
Martin Sensmeier (1985) Koyukon, Eyak, Tlingit, Irish, German.
Kalani Queypo (1986) Blackfoot, Kānaka Maoli, Swedish.
Aboriginal:
Aaron Pedersen (1970) Arrernte and Arabana.
Rob Collins (1979) Tiwi.
Uli Latukefu (1984) Tongan.
Lasarus Ratuere (1985) Fijian, Torres Strait Islander, and Unspecified Aboriginal Australian.
Mark Coles Smith (1987) Nyikina.
Please note that Indigenous nations/tribes should not be cast interchangeably but I don't know anyone else who is Nahua and Purépecha! These are the best suggestions I could come up with at the time of posting (and after hours of research and asking my friends!) but I'll be sure to update this if anybody is more fitting.

Ghost in the Shell | Laziness in a nutshell
Ghost in the Shell | Laziness in a nutshell #Throwback #review
I grew up on Mangas rather than Comic books, and “Ghost in the Shell” by Shirow Masamune has always been a property that I was aware of but never actually read or saw. I was excited when the movie was announced because it was another way for me to get into the story. With Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) at the helm, I expected odd but beautiful imagery. As for the cast the only ones…

GHOST IN THE SHELL (2017) Grade: D+
I'm sure it was close to the comics but the movie's plot was horrible and not interesting. The character is, but the story isn’t. Not sure why Johnansson accepted this role, it was clearly written with a Asian actor in mind. Skip it.
