Here’s the TruTV schedule for Monday, January 10 to Sunday, January 16, 2011.
Now, unlike any other network I post on this archive, I never really cared for TruTV until the Impractical Jokers premiered later in 2011, and not really a lot of TruTV got me besides from World's Dumbest around this time, and this is coming from my perspective now. (I didn't care for this when I was 5, which was when this schedule was made)
Now, this schedule had a lot of multi-hour blocks, given this schedule was essentially not that much changed from their CourtTV days, and I actually prefer how the channel was up until last year compared to how it was in 2011.
I won't list what's new, as I never cared for the shows on TruTV up until... when they changed their format in 2014?

Elvis: The Musical- a review by Lauren Avila
It would seem that the public has a renewed Burnin’ Love for Elvis Presley, without an end in sight. Between the recent Netflix premiere of “Agent Elvis,” Baz Luhrmann’s Oscar-nominated film “Elvis,” and ongoing tourism at Graceland, there is an unquenchable thirst for the King of Rock n’ Roll. Now there is a new way to enjoy the legend and his music. Elvis: The Musical made its West Coast premiere this month and has enjoyed a completely sold out run! The bad news is that the curtain will come down in California very soon. However, this same version will be making its Australian debut later this year!
I managed to get a ticket to a daytime performance where, even in the middle of the day, people flocked to the East Sonora Theater to see Elvis in the building. This show tells the rise of the “kid that changed the world.” Playing the man, the myth, and the legend was Taylor Rodriguez. This was not the first time walking a mile in the blue suede shoes for this performer though. According to his credits, he “has had the honor of performing in many musical productions including the Million Dollar Quartet where he starred as Elvis Presley. In 2017 he was named One of the Top 5 Elvis Tribute Artist in the world. In June of 2019, he was crowned the 2019 Tupelo Elvis Festival Champion. Recently, Taylor Rodriguez was named The 2019 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion by Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE).” As you might expect from an introduction like that, Taylor really captures the voice and the moves of Elvis.
The story begins with a nervous Elvis, waiting to go onstage for his career-changing, 68’ Comeback Special. He faces his younger self, in the form of an adorable 11-year old actor named Asher Berg. Kid Elvis asks him, “What are you doing?” In the midst of this self-reflection, the audience embarks on a journey throughout the life of both young Elvis and Elvis, the icon. The show was comprised of a very strong supporting cast! Personally, I’ve seen Broadway shows, touring companies, regional productions, and community theater. I have found that many times the supporting cast can make or break a show. In this case, they truly contributed to an entertaining afternoon. Major standouts include Christopher Michael, Elizabeth Harlen, Olivia Marie Jones, Sage Spiker, Taylor Tveten, and Dedrick Weathersby. They had the kind of stage presence that made you pay attention to them. Perhaps it was a million watt smile, the passion of a southern Reverend, the excitement of a radio DJ in the 50’s, the corniness of a tv announcer in the 60’s, or even a lovestruck Priscilla.
The book comes from Sean Cercone and David Abbinanti who were wise enough to include all the major players in Elvis’ life, the hits you want to hear, and lines that make you think and feel. I really enjoyed the Jersey Boys-like template that many shows tend to follow these days. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? There were poignant moments of heartbreak, light-hearted points of humor that sparked genuine laughter, and even audience interaction that only an Elvis show could truly justify.
Spoiler warning: My favorite parts included the build up to “That’s Alright,” the interaction of Elvis with the front row during his appearance on The Frank Sinatra Show, the compilation of Elvis making his movies, and all the scenes of Kid Elvis and Adult Elvis.
Considering that this show was put on by a local theater company, I was impressed by the visuals. The set was a modest bi-level stage, encompassed by a Vegas-like semi-circle opening. Vinyl records were mounted to the walls on either side of the stage too. The stage’s projection screen added an immersive element, from spinning records to playing background for Elvis’s movies. The band was present onstage throughout, very convenient since they also doubled as Elvis’ actual bandmates. Unfortunately, power outage problems did occur several times but once again I must commend these professionals for not missing a beat. Strange things are, in fact, happening every day!
I must conclude by highlighting Taylor’s performance. Both his speaking and singing voice were very similar to the hip-swinging musician we all know and love. He accompanied himself on guitar. He pulled off all the moves that history has tied to Elvis. He convinced the audience enough of his character that the women were swooning over him by the time he was interacting with (and kissing) them.
All that said, I will say that the show itself may need to be shook up a bit before hitting the stage again. My biggest problem is that there were hardly any solutions for each storyline and character introduced. If you’re looking for trouble, you may find it in the structure of this show. I came out of it feeling like I was missing something. I believe though, with all the potential that Elvis: The Musical has, it can be a hit. Check out this preview below:

Events In The History And Of The Life Of Elvis Presley Today On The 31st Of July In 1969.
Elvis Presley International Hotel, Las Vegas July 31st, In 1969.
Known for a powerful stage presence in total command of every room he has ever worked. But backstage at the International Hotel on July 31, 1969, Elvis Presley was packing back and forth like a panther. In a few minutes, he would march out into what was then the largest showroom in Las Vegas, holding 2.000 people.
Elvis Presley In Concert July 31st, 1969. Las Vegas, NV.
Dressed in a chic black tunic and bell bottoms that matched his long but neatly combed black-tinted hair. Elvis Presley stepped onstage last week at the International Hotel in Las Vegas and launched into the driving beat of 'Blue Suede Shoes'. The audience of 2,000, most of them over 30, roared and squealed in nostalgic appreciation. In spite of his updated look, ElvisPresley hadn't changed at all in the nearly nine years since his last personal appearance. Shaking, gyrating and quivering, he again proved himself worthy of his nickname, The Pelvis. Which he himself found it to be very childish coming from an adult Through nervousness caused him to sing 'Love my, me tender' for 'Love Me Tender', the pasty-faced enchanter quickly settled down to work his oleaginous charms, backed by a 30-piece orchestra, a five-man combo and a chorus of seven. Oozing the sullen sexuality that threw the America into a state of shock in the 50's, he groaned and swiveled through a medley of 'Jailhouse Rock', 'Don't Be Cruel', 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'All Shook Up' and 'Hound Dog'. It was hard to believe he was 34 and no longer 19 years old.
In fact, there are several unbelievable things about Elvis Presley but the most incredible is his staying power in a world where meteoric careers fade like shooting stars, Elvis Presley shot to the top in 1956 with 'Heartbreak Hotel' and has stayed in the uppermost tax bracket ever since.
Forty-seven of his singles have sold more than a million copies. He has made 32 movies, currently turning them out at a rate of four year and raking in a cool million plus half the profits for each. Presley's income is estimated at $5 million a year and he spends it freely. Among his purchases are an antebellum mansion called Graceland near Memphis (the house is painted luminous blue and gold and glows in the dark), and a succession of cars including a gold Cadillac. No ones knows how much the boy from Memphis is being paid for his four week Las Vegas stand but, according to Presley associate, 'Coming in on the heels of Barbra Streisand, you know that it's over a million'.

I’ve been talking non stop about it on Twitter & in my discord servers but it hasn’t spewed over here yet which is honestly shocking BUT I watched the Elvis biopic movie like a week ago & now my brain is obsessed with Elvis Presley. This is one of those examples of “you don’t choose the hyperfixation, the hyperfixation chooses you”. Like I can’t stop thinking about Elvis Presley I’ve been listening to his hit songs on repeat for the past week. Like constantly. I’d be shocked if this guy isn’t in my Spotify wrapped at the end of the year. I’ve even started watching the movies he’s in. I just watched King Creole. I’m watching Flaming Star tomorrow. I have a SCHEDULE. GOD HELP ME
But also can we talk about how different his life & career success would have looked like without Colonel Parker- OK ILL STOP ILL STOP
Jk I won’t this is just gonna be my designated Elvis Brainrott Post so I don’t flood my page with Elvis nonsense. I’ll just keep editing & adding to this post instead 🙃
My Elvis playlist: (major [I’m biased on some] hits in order of when they were released - it runs perfectly at an hour long which is too satisfying so now I can’t add or remove songs I’m stuck at this 23 song set up)
That’s All Right \\ Baby, Let’s Play House \\ Blue Suede Shoes \\ Heartbreak Hotel \\ Hound Dog \\ Don’t Be Cruel \\ Love Me Tender \\ All Shook Up \\ Jailhouse Rock \\ Trouble \\ Fever \\ It’s Now or Never \\ I’m Coming Home \\ Can’t Help Falling in Love \\ (You’re The) Devil in Disguise \\ Viva Las Vegas \\ A Little Less Conversation \\ If I Can Dream \\ In the Ghetto \\ Suspicious Minds \\ Always On My Mind \\ Burning Love \\ Unchained Melody
Also a list of my favorite lines/verses in these songs (bc some of the lyrics are so funny &/or very good):
“Drink my liquor from an old-fruit jar” (Blue Suede Shoes)
“I'm itchin' like a man on a fuzzy tree // My friends say I'm actin' wild as a bug”, “Her lips are like a Volcano that’s hot” (All Shook Up)
“Spider Murphy played the tenor saxophone // Little Joe was blowin' on the slide trombone // The drummer boy from Illinois went crash, boom, bang // The whole rhythm section was a purple gang” , “The warden said, ‘Hey, buddy, don't you be no square //If you can't find a partner, use a wooden chair’” (Jailhouse Rock)
“But if you're gonna start a rumble, don't you try it all alone” (Trouble)
“Thou givest fever when we kisseth // fever with thy flaming youth” , “Cats were born to give chicks fever // Be it Fahrenheit or centigrade” (Fever)
“”(Viva Las Vegas)

How to Watch Elvis Movies for Free! (Legally)
Hello Elvis fans!
If you're anything like me, when you develop a new special interest that slowly but surely begins to consume every waking moment of your life, you try to absorb as much about that topic as possible. Unfortunately, this pursuit of knowledge sometimes come at a price that not everyone can afford. So for those of you wanting to watch some films starring Elvis Presley, there are plenty of free resources at your disposal!
{These resources are available at the time of writing (July 2023)}
Pluto TV:
Pluto has a whole sub-folder dedicated to Elvis films, with about ten that rotate out on a regular basis. The only con is that ad breaks are inevitable. These films include:
G.I. Blues (1960)
Girls! Girls! Girls! (1962)
Fun in Acapulco (1963)
Easy Come, Easy Go (1967)
Clambake (1967)
Frankie and Johnny (1966)
{Other films regularly added include King Creole (1958), Blue Hawaii (1961), Roustabout (1964), and Paradise, Hawaiian Style (1966)}
YouTube:
So far, I've managed to find three full-length films for free, including:
Love Me Tender (1956)
Loving You (1957)
Charro! (1969)
The Criterion Channel:
Now there is a catch with this one. While this is a premium streaming service, you can get a 7-day free trial (I can't link the individual movies, so I'll link the site). For July 2023, the platform is offering six films, which are:
Love Me Tender (1956)
Jailhouse Rock (1957)
King Creole (1958)
Blue Hawaii (1961)
Wild in the Country (1961)
Viva Las Vegas (1964)
These are only the ones I know about. If anyone knows of any others, feel free to reblog and add them.
I hope everyone enjoys!

I’ve only seen a few Elvis movies so far, but I was curious how you would rank them? From best to worst. :)
Oooh.. Which ones have you seen? Also, I'd love to rank his movies! This will be fun. 😂
These are how I rank them personally. But I'd love to hear everyone else's rankings! I will be ranking the movies from the 50's first and then do the 60's, because his movies in the 50's are honestly my favorite because the stories actually made sense and weren't rushed and you can tell he actually cared.
The 50's - From best to worst
King Creole (Baby acted his ass off in this and the story was great!)
Jailhouse Rock (I really loved this because I could hope that he would've taken charge of his career the way Vince did without the asshole part. Another where the story was great.)
Loving you (He was just too darn cute in this movie with his little stuttering and I love that his parents were in it. Deke has my heart.)
Love Me Tender (Spoiler: this gets worst because he dies 😭)
The 60's - From best to worst
1. Follow That Dream (Does this even need an explanation? You guys know how much I love this movie and not even for the story. It's my comfort movie)
2. Girls! Girls! Girls! (This was the very first Elvis movie I saw and I hold it dear to my heart. I would play Return to Sender on repeat, lol)
3. Wild in the Country (I know this is like 50/50 for people but I really loved this movie. The story was great and his acting was amazing.)
4. G.I Blues (God.. This movie.. He.. Yeah, he looked fine as hell. Story was okay. The songs are my fave.)
5. Live a Little, Love a Little (This was the second Elvis movie I saw and honestly is a favorite!! Bernice is insane BUT I STAN. Greg Nolan is my baby.)
6. It Happened at the World's Fair (This movie was so cute and funny. I always love him in movies with kids! 😭)
7. The Trouble with Girls (DO I EVEN NEED TO EXPLAIN?!!? HIS EYES WERE SPARKLING. THE SUITS)
8. Change of Habit (Okay, I feel like this movie is incredibly underrated and AE made it seem like it was so terrible. But I personally loved this movie because of its serious story and plot. It was also a different character we've seen Elvis play. I think had there been no songs at all, this would've been taken more seriously. He also looked good af.)
9. Flaming Star (Despite the stereotypes and well everything else that would get this movie canceled.. I actually enjoyed it a lot. It was certainly different for Elvis. If I remember correctly, Tarantino said this was his favorite Elvis western because it was the most violent.)
10. Kid Galahad (This movie was good and another different character for him. But I'm not into boxing so it was kind of boring to me)
11. Blue Hawaii (I really enjoyed this movie, but I don't love it as much as everyone does. I don't get the hype and I also think Can't Help Falling In Love is overplayed and overrated. He's got so many better love songs. But that's just my opinion! This movie still gets a good ranking though.)
12. Viva Las Vegas (I enjoyed this movie! But much like Blue Hawaii I don't get the hype. It's not my favorite but definitely not the worst)
Now let's get into the movies that in my personal opinion were the worst. Now that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy them. Even with the stories not being great; some of them were funny!
13. Fun in Acapulco (This movie was enjoyable but the story could've been better and I didn't really like a lot of the songs.)
14. Roustabout (I just found this movie so boring and I'm not surprised the colonel loved it. But Elvis looked HOT.)
15. Girl Happy (I really enjoyed this but again the story wasn't great and his character wasn't anything special. But if you want a few laughs this is a good one. ALSO ELVIS IN A DRESS!!!) 16. Tickle Me (this movie was so funny and Elvis always has perfect comedic timing. It reminded me of Scooby Doo. But unfortunately the story was meh they also used songs from one of his old albums because they had nothing written for the film)
17. Spinout (This movie was okay, a few laughs. But nothing too special besides him threatening to spank someone, lol. Basic Elvis character.)
18. Speedway (A few good songs, but kinda boring to me)
19. Frankie and Johnny (I really liked the aesthetic of this film and some of the songs, but it certainly wasn't the best. He looked horrid in that yellow sweater lmfao)
20. Paradise, Hawaiian Style (I enjoyed the songs and his interaction with the little girl. It was too cute! A few good laughs, but nothing to rave about)
21. Stay Away, Joe (This movie was so ridiculous and stupid, but also funny as hell to me because of how ridiculous it was. Another one that would be cancelled. But Elvis looked so good lol)
22. Clambake (SNOOZE FEST. Stupid story also Elvis tried to get out of making this movie. So much drama behind the scenes of this, lol. He was fat shamed. His character.. I don't even know.)
23. Charro! (This movie could've been great since they weren't really any songs, Elvis' acting was great and he looked good with a beard. But the story was just so boring.)
24. Double Trouble (This movie was funny but that's about it. Story was eh)
25. Kissin' Cousins (Jesus Christ.. Where do I even begin with this movie? We should not be hooking up with our cousins first off, LMFAO. The only good thing was Jodie. 😂)
26. Harum Scrum (I DONT EVEN NEED TO EXPLAIN THIS DUMPSTER FIRE. I hate this movie, lol. 2.99 WASTED. Like wtf was this?? It was so bad Elvis gave up acting in the middle of it lol.)
Now let's rank the concert docs for funsies!
Elvis on Tour (THIS IS MY BABY. The amount of times I watch this is unhealthy. He's so fucking sexy in it and just watching him at all these shows doing what he loves. Ugh. The shot of him staring out the window and kind of just lost in thought.. It just makes me want to hold him.)
That's The Way It Is (The first concert doc I watched. This is just amazing. The album alone is my favorite. But seeing him up on that stage giving it his all and having so much fun doing it warms my heart.)
Aloha From Hawaii via Satellite (I know this technically isn't a concert doc but it belongs on this list. Do I even need to say how amazing this was??? How good he looked?? This certainly is underrated.)
Honorable mention
Elvis In Concert - (I wish they would release this because it only aired once I believe on October 3rd, 1977. But that was it. You can watch it on YouTube because someone remastered it and fixed the audio as best as they could. But It'd be nice if EPE would just release the actual footage and have CBS or RCA remaster it. Despite how ill he was he still put on a performance no matter what. He still wanted to make the fans happy. But I understand why they don't really want it out there.)
Sorry this was so long and I don't know if you wanted my actual opinions on them. But I felt I might as well give them, lol. Thanks for the question, bestie!

I know it's the cinephile in me but I have a huge fascination with Elvis's film career.
A short summary is that he wanted to be a serious actor in dramatic roles, and while he did get chances to show off his serious acting chops, he eventually just ended up in cheesy, formulaic musicals which just got worse and worse because his demon of a manager cared more about making money off of the movie soundtracks which lead to Elvis become bitter and depressed about how his film career had turned out. Eventually though he did the 68 Comeback Special on TV and was on top of the world again, but that's a story for another day (or you could research it yourself).
To give another summary about his film career each decade, there were the four pre-army films in the 50s, wildly considered to be his best films, and my favorite of his movies came out that decade (King Creole) so I'd say I agree. Although they were musicals they had still had more of a serious feel than the musicals that would come later, andElvis's characters in these were rebellious, sort of edgy characters (especially in Jailhouse Rock and King Creole).
His post-army films in the 60s were where things changed, with him going from playing rebel characters to starring in family-friendly formulaic musical comedies. Now I'll admit I'm a bit of a hypocrite here. More than anything I mourn the fact that he never got to be the type of actor he wanted and was instead stuck making these types of movies. However, I admit I do have films from this period that I enjoy (G.I. Blues, Blue Hawaii, It Happened at the World's Fair, Viva Las Vegas and Girl Happy). That being said, I don't want to watch every film from this period because I know a lot of them are downright terrible and I guess I want to avoid them out of respect or to avoid second-hand embarrassment. But I'll get back to the 60s period soon.
In the 70s, he didn't actually have anymore films, save for two concert films, Elvis: That's the Way it Is and Elvis on Tour (I highly recommend both if the idea of Elvis concert films sounds interesting to you).
Now back to the 60s. I said that his films at that time were just musical comedies, and that's true. BUT, he did actually make three serious, dramatic films at that time too. The problem is, audiences at the time made them all flop because they wanted to see more formulaic musicals. Yeah, he could've finally had a chance to become the type of actor he wanted but audiences decided they wanted shitty musicals.
The first one was Flaming Star, a Western. Interestingly, there were gonna be four songs in this movie, but Elvis demanded that two of them be removed, and thankfully it worked. The first song in the film is actually just a song played over the opening credits with the film's title in the lyrics, and the second one is one played in the beginning during a party scene. Since the second song was played during a party scene and therefore fit into the scene naturally as opposed to a song from a musical where breaking out into song and dance happens spontaneously and doesn't make sense logically, I don't consider this film a musical. Anyway, it's an excellent film imo.
The second one is Wild in the Country which is my favorite of the three. In this one Elvis plays a troubled man ordered to live with his uncle on probation and is sent to a psychiatrist who helps him pursue a literary career, but he ends up falling in love with her as well which causes a scandal (a lot more stuff happens but that's my attempt at giving a shitty plot synopsis). The first time I watched it I was floored by how amazing of a film it was which made me even more furious that audiences in the 60s let it flop because we could've had more roles like this. It kept reminding me of his rebel roles from the 50s which is probably a big reason why I loved it so much. Now this one did have a few songs in it but overall it's definitely a dramatic film first and foremost.
And the last one is Charro, another Western. Look, I wanted to like this one so badly. Elvis in a completely non-singing serious role in a dramatic Western? And he has an awesome beard? That sounds awesome! Unfortunately...I found this one so BORING. It's painful to admit, but it's true. I saw a Letterboxd review say that this feels like a sequel because all the characters have an implied history together, and yeah I know what they mean (not saying a film can't have characters with implied history that's up to the audiences to figure out, but here it just feels like it was done wrong. Idk, I can't explain it). It felt like it wanted to have a Spaghetti Western feel, so the whole time I kept thinking how amazing it would've been if it was more like one of Clint Eastwood's iconic Spaghetti Western films like the Fistful of Dollars trilogy. Definitely my least favorite of the three, I'm sad to say.
Soooo yeah. I hope you enjoyed my long-ass ramble, this was actually me trying to contain myself from writing more because like I said, I just find his film career fascinating lmao.

A couple of weeks ago at Walmart I bought this collection of seven Elvis movies that I'd seen a few nights earlier. It was one of those big collection Warner released for their 100th anniversary—so, yes, I physically own something with that laughably ironic "celebrate every story" tagline on it—and of all of the ones I'd seen get rotated out, I don't know why this one stood out to me enough to want to buy it? Maybe it's lingering affection I have for Baz Luhrmann's Elvis biopic that finally got me curious enough to check a few of Presley's flick out and see if they live up to the hype/anti-hype I'd heard about them.
So... I may as well take a hot second here to say a few words about the four narrative features that were in the collection (the other two were concert films and a documentary from, like, 1980). Get something else other than satisfying my curiosity out of these movies.
Jailhouse Rock
This was the only pre-army Elvis film in the set, and maybe it was the best one? Like, if you wanna pretend objectivity is a thing, then this was "objectively" the best one.
Honestly, though, I kinda spent the entire film stuck on the fact that Elvis's character ends up in jail because he beats a man to death with his bare fists. Like, what? What? In an Elvis movie? This is absolutely the kind of thing that the Colonel wouldn't've let fly in the post-G.I. Blues/Blue Hawaii world. And the fact that Elvis's character is kind of an ass up until the final scene, where after the mind kind of abruptly ends...! It was absolutely a running joke for me throughout the other three films I watched.
But, yeah, cool dance sequence. I kinda wish that "Rock! Rock!" chant was included in the song proper and wasn't exclusive to the film.
Viva Las Vegas
The only thoughts I have about this movie revolve around Ann-Margaret. She is, without a doubt, the star of this movie. I could barely keep my eyes off her every time she was on screen.
I read that the Colonel was worried about Ann overshadowing Elvis in the films, only one of three duets they recorded ended up on screen, and, gawd, he was right to worry, because even with just the one...!
And it's like, in the talent show scene, you're really gonna tell me that Ann's performance of "Appreciation", with the costume changes and her dancing and singing her ass off, would only tie with Elvis's one-take run-through of "Viva Las Vegas"? Even if that song is one of the best and most iconic of all his movie songs...!
But, yeah, all my babbling about this one woman aside, it's a fun lil' flick. It's not as good as Jailhouse Rock, really, but Viva Las Vegas is for sure the one I'd return to the most out of any of these.
Girl Happy
I'm sure if I were watching all of Elvis's movies, this one, his twenty-second I believe, would've been an absolute slog. Like, imagine—twenty-two movies in, and how many after Blue Hawaii where it's the same damn thing over and over and over again. I would've gone mad. But as only the third narrative film out of four in a seven flick box set, it's fine. Serviceable if you wanna see a generic Elvis flick, I guess.
I don't really have any deep thoughts about this, honestly, except that... I don't know. Seeing Elvis in drag is amusing? And this is the only movie I've ever seen to have a song about the Fort Lauderdale Chamber Of Commerce. I mean, Citizen Kane or The Shawshank Redemption don't have one of those.
Spinout
While I was watching the movie, I read a Letterboxd review where someone compared the female drummer in Elvis's band in this movie, Les, to Kim Pines from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and while I don't think the comparison is exactly 1:1, she was my favorite character in the film, so... I mean, it's a shame she marries a cop, but other than that...
I don't know. As with Girl Happy, I don't really have any big thoughts about this film. Like, when I was mentally dividing these movies up into categories, I slot this and Girl Happy as the two "generic later-period Elvis movies" after Jailhouse Rock and Viva Las Vegas stood in for the "good and iconic" films.
I guess I like this movie better than Girl Happy, 'cuz there was a silly energy to the movie that I liked, and it's interesting that Elvis's character remains single by the end, and, again, there is Les, but... I don't know. The soundtrack's got a cover of "Tomorrow Is A Long Time" as a bonus track and that's neat?
Also, this is the second movie where Elvis's character is a race car driver (after Viva Las Vegas, which I should've mentioned, but of course I was too busy talking about...), and I hear that's a common trend throughout this movies, and, gawd, every time, I could only think of Eddie Murphy's bit about Elvis movies: "We gotta win this race..."

ELVIS PRESLEY MOVIE REVIEWS (the movies i’ve seen) PT 1 🎞️🎙️❤️
BLUE HAWAII
10/10! I really love this movie! I really love the songs and Can’t Help Falling in Love is my ultimate favorite song because for a personal reason but in my opinion, its a sweet movie and I really loved the ending :)
Viva Las Vegas
11/10!!! I really love this movie and Ann Margot is AMAZING in this film! When I went to Vegas for the first time I thought of this movie. I really loved the end of the movie because Elvis won the race I felt happy 😊
Jailhouse Rock
10/10!! I really loved the 'music video' that the movie showed, it was really cool! fun fact, I saw a picture of Elvis for the very first time in a music class I was in 6th grade and it was this picture. The music was really good and I really hate the fact in the movie, there was a 'new' band that stole one of Elvis' songs.
Loving You
15/10!!! The movie reminds me of Elvis the movie in 2022 but different, his manager is a woman in the movie and he performed in small venues. Mean Woman Blues is one of my favorite songs from the movie! If you can see in the movie there is a scene with the man who told him to sing from the restaurant, he looks like he's not watching Elvis because Elvis looked amazing and made the place crazy and they loved him singing.

Elvis Presley performs on stage with his back up singers The Sweet Inspirations At The International Hotel in Vegas in 1969.
Inside Whitney Houston's Late Mother Cissy's Houston's Surprising Bond with The Late And Great Elvis Presley.
Here's all you need to know about the former singer's relationship with The Legendary Elvis Presley.
throughout her career as a soul singer and a gospel singer she worked with a lot well known musicians but one of the most iconic musicians she worked with was Elvis Presley.
Touring with The Sweet Inspirations And Elvis Presley;
The Sweet Inspirations joined Elvis Presley on his comeback in Las Vegas, as he returned to the stage through the summer of 1969. It seems that the "Jailhouse Rock" singer was so impressed by his backup singers he would introduce them at every show: "They really live up to their name, ladies & gentlemen: The Sweet Inspirations!"
Cissy said that after the shows, they "would jam with him for an hour, singing gospel. He really loved it, had a feel for it and was tickled to have four 'church sisters' backing him up." and he called us is girls and let everybody know this as well as he loved and respected us all and we in return loved and respected him.
She would later say of him: "Elvis Presley loved gospel music. He was raised on it. And he really did know what he was talking about. He was singing Gospel all the time – almost anything he did had that flavour. You can’t get away from what your roots are." and we all the girls loved him even more for it.
It was while Cissy worked as one of Elvis's Presley's backup singers that a very young Whitney Houston got to meet the Icon the legendary Elvis Presley in person no doubt an iconic moment.
"It was one of those moments that I won't forget as a kid," she told Access Hollywood. in 2001 in an interview "It wasn't like, 'Hi Mr. Elvis, nice to meet you,' we didn't do that. We just sat back and looked at him. Amazing to look at. i've never seen in all my life anybody as gorgeous and handsome and beautiful and radiant as Elvis Presley" beautiful photo whitney houston and her mother cissy *rare b/w elvis presley with the sweet inspirations in vegas and *color candid of elvis presley before or after the vegas press conference both in *1969.
