Really got a significant amount of spending money for the first time in awhile and then my laptop broke 💀

I just broke the monitor to my 1200 dollar laptop and all my mother could do was try to "calm me down" by repeatedly telling me that when I sit down on the couch that makes it vibrate and that's why my funding monitor broke. Over and over and over again. And of course she can't possibly understand how

1. That should not break a computer monitor, and any monitor that breaks from that is facing bored already

2. I don't want to fucking hear that while I'm trying to fix things and make my laptop usable again.

And I could tell she was only saying that shit because she had never enjoyed how heavily we sat down. Not because she genuinely thought that broke my laptop. Because the laptop tilted down onto the couch and the screen broke. It must have been on the verge of doing that before. That couldn't have been the actual cause, right?

I knew something bad was going to happen today but I didn't think it would happen to me.

luckily I can just buy a new monitor with my savings. What else was I saving all that money for if not situations like this?
