FINAL supplements
These were originally prices of worldbuilding text on the DVDs for final, the GGG DVD included them with explanations.
1: A leaflet explaining GaoFighGar distributed at the 1st GGG Convention, at G-Island City in 2007, touting the 2nd Gen Ul-Tech Engines and Programs Rings. The convention was held between GaoFighGar successfully forming in January 2007 and the battle in Paris in July.
2: The main theme song of "Les Vierges d'acier" an unauthorised film about KoRyu and AnRyu made due to their fame in France. Unable to get the robots themselves, human actors were case, which contributed to the films poor performance.
3: Transcript of a dialogue between Mobile Unit Captain Evoluder GUY, Volfogg, Porc-Auro, and the American and Russian Intelligence Robots, immediately prior to the commencement of Operation Mermaid Tears in Copenhagen, on 2006/08/07. The missions was to Rescue Mode Warp personnel from a hostage situation. Porc-Auto was only able to run support, as he is currently mounted in a non-transforming vehicle. The American and Russian units are prone to squabbling.
4: A draft of Rose Approval's statement on GGG's exile, with some areas replaced due to being worded too strongly either positively or negatively, even if she supported their actions.
5: An email sent from Shuu to Gimlet on March 31, declaring himself the ideal candidate for the ZMC Project all subjects so far having died, and confessing his reasons for wanting this, asking to be be recommended for the role to Thanatos. Bionet acquired some Zonder Metal after the EI-01 incident, and used it to develop Metal Cyborg technology.
6: A Diary entry by Dr. Shishioh Leo on 2003/10/11. The Mecha Lion has been officially renamed Galeon after the data was found in it's Black Box, and he marvels at it's flying under it's own power and managing to penetrate EI-01'S barrier when it saved Gai. He has now determined looking at Galeon's structure that it was designed to be the central component of a larger being, and while they don't have those other components, he knows they have to recreate said components. Obviously, Galeon was originally the central component of Genesic GaoGaiGar, but they didn't have the Genesic Machines.
7: Message exchange between the weather girl who became EI-22, and Kazamatsuri Sumire, over July and August 2007. On 07/07/30, The weather girl returned from holiday in snowy Paris, and wonders about the GaoGaiGar, GaoFighGar fight. Sumire is worried the fish that Valnar eats will run out. On 07/08/09 they react to GGG's exile. On 07/08/12 the weather girl invited Sumire to the Pikkapika Parade after Bottom the World had to cancel the Chika parade due to flooding, but Sumire is to concerned about Valnar, what with whales washing up. On 07/08/22, Sumire tells her friend to keep strong in the face of the devastation, and trust in GGG.
8: A note from Rose Approval requesting that if humanity is destroyed by the devastation, that Taiga and Hyuma lead the survivors of GGG as the Jew humanity. She hopes the Key to Victory she gave Swan will be unnecessary, but understands the Goldion Crusher may be needed. This was part of a Last Will and Testament she prepared in case of humanity falling.
Project Z
A short picture drama included with the GGG boxset as promotion for what would eventually become GaoGaiGar Vs Betterman. They'll definitely be a little repeating myself when I start reading that.
Lamia narrates on the final battle approaching him and his fellow Somniums, 6 new allies are shown to us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mamoru sends a message to Hana asking about things of G-Island, and asking after Yosef and the puppies. He's current at GGG Space Centre in America, working with Yaginuma and Takanohashi, who Rose Approval pardoned. Kaidou has been is Australia seeing Yuka. The Orbit Base has been installed with a new Division Ship, and a new NeuroMechanoid, and the GaoMachines are being recreates, Mamoru and Kaidou will serve as Head Divers. He hopes the plan to save GGG will succeed.
Tumblr media
In a test of the new Kakuseijin GaiGo, Mamoru, in the Womb Head, communicates with the Space Center, specifically Yamajii of Akamatsu Industries, the company contracted to created Kakuseijin GaiGo. In order to use Fusion Kakuseijin GaiGo has to be in Active Mode, controlled by Kaido from Cereb Head, but the programming needs work. They cannot proceed with Project Z until Fusion works, so they can escort Division VI; Infinite Connected Tank Ship Mizuha to Jupiter to harness THE POWER. Wile for Mamoru, Kaidou and even Akamatsu this is in aid of saving GGG, it also represents an advance of the Space Energy Development Plan.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Understanding their position, Mamoru tries to give Kaidou control, but there's no connection, and Kakuseijin GaiGo crashes into the sea, Mamoru escapes in Purification Mode, but Kaidou doesn't emerge. Lamia communicates with Mamoru, telling him the time is now. Mamoru remembers him from communicating in the Trinary Star System, but doesn't understand Somniums, and is warned of the dangers to come, before Lamia leaves atop a glowing jellyfish.
Mamoru remembers Kaidou, and manages to telekinetically pill Kakuseijin GaiGo out of the water, but Kaidou is unconscious. Mamoru sees what he thinks is the sun, but realises is something else. The Somnium are ready, while Mamoru thinks about everyone he needs to save (Stallion and Piggy don't get name checked, and I'm not sure if he knows Papillon is dead) then realises with a start the brilliant light in the sky looks like a form of a flaming Genesic GaoGaiGar, possibly using THE POWER, is this the Conquering King Lamia warned him of.

Lamia Drama Part 7
As always, the species depicted in this belong to @vex-bittys
FINALLY TROUSLE IS HERE! >:D The only ACTUAL bitty of the bunch XD
It ends with friendship, but warning, this chapter’s kinda sad at the middle. Poor boy...
< PREV | BEGINNING | NEXT >
Trousle was doing circles in the Papython enclosure up from, making sure his scales were extra shiny for everyone who came to look! His armor was polished, his posing practiced, and bones an excellent shade of white! Admittedly he’d cheated a little bit and stolen some whitening toothpaste to roll around in (plus it made him smell minty!), but he had to show off the best he could with his looks!
Because he didn’t have a voice.
No, that wasn’t fair to say. The nice people at the shop had gotten him a little phone and speaker so people could hear him, and he had gotten positively great at the art of typing! But he couldn’t quite live up to the chirps and “Nyeh”s of his breatheren…
No, that’s silly! They’d just gotten chosen first! He’d get his time! Eventually! Sure, not many went for Papythons when they wanted a nice, quiet companion, but that just meant he had to work a little extra! Even if he had been here seventeen years already, that surely meant his time was soon! Right? Any day would be the day! It’d never be the day.
A little girl walked up, eyes wide as she bounced on her feet. The other Papython greeted her with a chorus of “Nyehs” and curious chirps. Well, those that weren’t too busy chasing a little ball around the enclosure or “hunting” a teddy bear. Trousle himself slithered to the front as well, typing on his little keyboard until an electronic “Hello small human!”
But it was drowned out by a chorus of the rest:
           “Nyeh!”
           “Oh! They small! I small!”
           “We’re all small!”
“I didn’t know hair could be red!”
           “You match my tail!”
           “So so cute!”
           “Cute cute friend!”
           “Hello human!”
That said, the little one’s eyes – big, brown eyes – were locked on him and his little keyboard. Trousle’s soul flipped in his chest and he tried again, typing into his phone. “Hello small human!”
           “Oh! She likes you?”
           “Great!”
           “Congratulations!”
           “Nyeheheh!”
His friends, the other Papython, backed off enough to give him a little space to show off. They knew he’d been here a while, and all but the youngest (who hadn’t gotten the hint and had to be dragged away) backed off a little so he could show off. Trousle pressed to the glass, waving hello and letting out a breathy attempt at a chirp.
“Hehehe! Mommy look! This one’s got a little computer!” The kid said. She put a hand to the glass and Trousle eagerly pressed his head and hands on the other side. “Can I say hi?” The child said, looking at her mom.
Chris, one of the up-front workers, came over and smiled, “You’re interested in Trousle? I’m sure he’s happy to hear that, aren’t you?”
Trousle nodded enthusiastically, trying his best to reach up out of the tank, but of course it was made specifically so they couldn’t just get out and run everywhere during the day time – briefly they had tried that model, but the Mambas complained it was unfair that some bitties could roam free and not others, and when that happened they had to give several shots of antivenom over the next month while they tracked down all the more poorly-behaved bitties; the person who decided that letting all the Mambas and Corals roam free was a good idea was chewed out by Nikolai and promptly fired, but everyone had to stay in tanks while the shop was open after that.
The child’s mother came over and looked at Trousle. Trousle, hoping to please, puffed himself up and waved hello before rolling onto his back all cute-like, wiggling his tail. A bit infantile perhaps, but there is no harm in a bit of silliness! The little girl giggled and stuck her tongue out. Trousle flicked his out too and she giggled. So cute!
“Which one is that?” The mom asked.
“That’s Trousle. Would you like to hold him? He’s very friendly.”
The mother nodded and Chris lowered his hand for Trousle to wrap around, lifting him so that the mom could hold him. Trousle wrapped around her arm – not too tight of course – in a big hug, nuzzling her hand. “Well aren’t you sweet?”
“Oh oh oh! You’re sooooo cute! I’m Mia!” The kid, Mia, said, hopping up and down on her little feet and making grabby hands for him.
“Can you say Mia?” The mother said in that little baby-voice.
Trousle’s soul sank and he glanced over at his abandoned phone. He couldn’t just say no, but he literally couldn’t say anything.
Chris came to his “rescue” by saying, “Ah… Trousle’s mute I’m afraid.”
“Ah. Shame… Poor thing,” the mother said, something cold and disappointed in her voice. She gave that all-too familiar sigh that made his soul run cold. He tried hugging more, but she was already scanning the other Papython.            “Can we keep him?” Mia said, little curls of ginger hair bouncing.
Trousle uncoiled, trying to reach for her, but the mother was already moving, putting him back with the rest.
“You don’t want that one sweetie. He wouldn’t make much of a companion, being all quiet and always on that phone. Why don’t you say hi to one of the others? Or maybe the Pygmys, I’ve heard they’re playful!” There was a bit of fuss from Mia, but her mother brought her to the Pygmys, not sparing a glance back.
“Are you alright?” Chris asked. “Sorry, but…”
“It’s okay.” Trousle typed, even though it very much wasn’t. But it’s not like it was the first time, just the first in a while for him. He’d been so close. But no one looking for a Papython wants a quiet companion or one that’s on the phone a lot. If they want something more quiet, there are Honey-Bos, Cornies, Chains, and some of the Kings even, but not Papython. But, of course, those looking for a quiet bitty to just play games with probably couldn’t handle his levels of excitement and activity.
But oh well. There were worse things. The shop was mostly good, and he’d been here so long it’d be absolutely weird to leave at this point.
The other Papython gathered around him to try to cheer him up, but he just wanted to be alone after that, maybe nap for a little bit. Before he could settle in though, one of the other workers came to scoop him and his little system up, Gracie.
“Nikolai wants you lil dude,” Gracie said. “I think they’re doing some DnD stuff? A bit of a weird time for it, but the boss man was insistent, and I ain’t gonna tell him no.”
Nikolai belonged to the owner, but she was getting older. In her absence, Nikolai… Well, he wasn’t officially in charge, but he’d been there longest, knew how it ran, and had venomous fangs and a long, powerful tail, two traits most people wouldn’t argue against even if he’s a caring person at heart. He didn’t quite wear his heart on his sleeve, but it usually didn’t take too long for it to show through. It was more like he wore his heart on his undershirt or something – you had to go through a layer or two, but it wasn’t the best hidden.
Trousle hid partly in her sleeve as he was brought to the back. While he was used to humans and their general size, something about being surrounded by big lamia he didn’t know was a bit nerve wracking. Nothing was sized for him back here, but his friends would never leave him behind! He just has to get to them first.
Nikolai was sitting in the break room, sipping a hot cup of extra-spicy chai tea while Keith had a Mountain Dew next to him. Gracie sat Trousle on the table, and Keith slid a shotglass of hot chocolate with marshmallows his way.
“Where’s Hux and Liam?” Trousle typed, head quirked to the side. If Nikolai had coffee, Keith had Mountain Dew, and he was getting hot chocolate, it was clearly a DnD day, even if it was wildly off schedule – they usually didn’t play during work hours, given that there was, well… work. Also, Keith had some player manuals on the table and his DM screen among them.
           Speak of the devil…
“Where’s the broad?” Hux huffed as he slithered in, arms crossed.
“Just listen a second,” Keith said… and then said nothing else.
Trousle was, naturally, confused, and Hux visibly was too, but then he heard an unfamiliar woman’s voice: “Warlocks are one of my favorites – patrons are basically built in lore – but Druids are a mood and Martials can be fun too. Sometimes you just wanna smash stuff with a big hammer, y’know?”
           “Her voice carries,” Nikolai said.
Keith chuckled, “She’s just excited I bet. I’m pretty sure you, Mister works with literal babies all the time, are the last person who can’t handle someone being a little loud.”
Nikolai chuckled, rolling his eyes, “I wasn’t complaining. Just a statement.”
“Anyways, Glitterass wants to meet her at his enclosure first. Y’know, like a drama queen,” Hux said. “He’s pretending he can’t get out still.”
Almost in unison, Keith and Nikolai said, “We’re coming.”
“Me too?” Trousle typed, then made “pick me up” hands.
Nikolai lowered his arm for Trousle, “You too.”
“I’m getting my freaking coffee,” Hux said. No doubt he’d get it with half a scoop of sugar, make a quarter of it milk, add two servings of cinnamon, and then a tablespoon of chocolate. It was his favorite.
“C’mon then,” Keith said, leading the way with his hands tucked in his pockets like he always did when he was either nervous or excited. Trousle wasn’t sure which, but agreed with him either way.

Cluing in Puzzled Players
This puzzle was inspired by Knight of Raven’s Mythical Menagerie post.
Allow me to set the scene for you.
The players are investigating a conclave of wizards with an interest in shape shifting beings and monsters.  In the dark, the workshops are a collection of strange instrument silhouettes, heavy curtains and an almost musty atmosphere.  The silence of the place hangs over them.  As they sneak about, the players come across what appears to be a large circular room connecting all the workshops.  Sick of fumbling about in the dark, one of the players lights a torch.  As light spills onto the floor, the lightness is relieved by the dark grooves of circles and juts of lines carved into the floor.  Waving the torch around, it becomes apparent that the circles are connected in the shape of a nonagon, with a triangle in the center connecting out to the nonagon at three points.
(For those who are more visually oriented, like myself, here is a diagram of what I’m talking about:)
Tumblr media
In neat lines around the room are what look to be granite chess pieces, about 2-3 feet tall.  Peering closer a player notices that the statues appear to be in the likeness of various animals.  Dogs, birds, cows, snakes, lions...  One row even contains several humanoid looking statues...
---
And so it begins!  The Mythical Nonagon.  My players really got into this puzzle.  It seemed to appeal to their creativity and their problem solving skills.
Aim
The aim of this puzzle is to place a chess piece on each of the circles, so that the combination of the first circle and any other circle it is directly connected to (by a line) must make up a mythical creature.  What does this mean?
Take any blue circle which is not connected to an orange circle.  Let’s assume your players put a bird chess piece on that blue circle.   Assume you players then travel one step clockwise around the nonagon, and then place a horse piece.  The combination of the two creates a pegasus - success!  Your players must also connect the bird to another chess piece on the circle which is one step anti-clockwise to the bird.  In other words, they must put a piece on the anti-clockwise circle that also makes a mythical creature, e.g. a lion, so that the combination of bird + lion makes a griffin.
As you may have guessed, the triangle must use a combination of three animals to create a mythical creature.  Each point also connects out to the nonagon to create a separate mythical beast combination.
A list of suggested chess pieces and creature combinations is at the end of this post, but you’re of course welcome to make your own.
Clues for Players
A room with circles and chess pieces might be ok for intellectual characters(/players), but what do you do when your party is more brawn than brain?  You clue them in. (Haha.)
Using clues for puzzles can be a powerful tool.  At a fundamental level, clues can be positive or negative.  Positive clues encourage a behaviour, while negative clues punish certain behaviours.  It’s important to consider the kinds of behaviours you want to encourage, not only for solving the puzzle, but also for your dealing with your campaign at large.  The following are a couple of questions that might help you think about your broader goals:
Do you want your players to leap into action and keep the story/drama moving?  Or would you prefer your players carefully uncover layers of information and misinformation before taking action?  Do you want them to trust or question NPCs?  Are the players meant to consider the morality of the choices they make?  Would you like the players to be tactical in combat?  Or more curious about their environment? Etc.
Example Positive Clues
Every time the players make a correct combination, a holographic image of the creature appeared above the triangle (I used glyphs on the roof as the basis of the simulation for my campaign).  Use one or two sentences to describe what the characters see as confirmation that they made a correct combination, and to give flavour to the task.  E.g. “A centaur hunts beneath a starry sky, an arrow notched in its rowan wood bow.” “The Cerberus’ teeth snap as the foul scent of it’s breath washes over you, making you gag.”  This kind of positive clue is important so the players know that they were actually succeeding at the puzzle.  Some kind of puzzle based gauge is important for sustained player interest and moral.
A more general positive clue could be that after some exploration and investigating the players discover that the walls of the circular room are engraved with some kind of sequencing that appeared to be connected to different types of shape shifting and hybrid monsters.  While the players can’t read the sequencing code entirely, a DC 13 Intelligence check is sufficient for them to work out that the sequencing has something to do with combining different animal parts to make up a hybrid monster (including a couple of potential combinations, e.g. harpy = bird + human, owlbear = owl + bear).  Or if that’s too advanced, have some scrolls on a desk or dumped by the door in one of the workshops which have illustrations depicting a couple of the potential combinations.   By using this kind a clue, you will encourage your players to look around when faced with obstacles and puzzles, or to investigate before running into action.  Come up with clues that suit the kind of goals you have your players’ behaviours in the campaign.
Example Negative Clues
On the other hand, if the players just tried a random (incorrect) combination or a combination they knew was wrong, I had a jet of flames erupt out from under the offending circle momentarily.  The player who placed the chess piece had to make a DC 15 dex save for the first round the flames appeared (the surprise factor), and then a DC 12 dex save thereafter to avoid being burnt.  A failed save was 2d8 fire damage, and a successful save was half damage.  This would (hopefully) encourage your players to think, maybe look around and see what else they can find to help them solve the mystery.
If you didn’t want to be as tough on your players, you might allow them a chance to get the combination wrong before you activate the flame trap.  Or maybe there’s no penalty for an incorrect combination, but trying to rig the puzzle with multiple combinations of the same monster trips the flame trap.  It’s up to you and your goals.
Suggested Chess Pieces
Birds x 7, Bear x 2, Hyena x 2, Humanoid x 7, Spider x 2, Rabbit x 2, Lion x 5, Fish x 3, Crocodile x 2, Hippo x 2, Goat x 2, Cow x 2, Lizard x 2, Dog x 4, Snake x 2, Horse x 5
Suggested Combinations (in no particular order)
* Indicates that I allowed multiple combinations of the same animal parts to create the different, separate monsters.
(And yes I did allow false combinations that don’t assist in solving the puzzle as a whole. *cackles*)
Pegasus - horse + bird
Chimera - lion + goat + snake
Cerberus - 3 x dog
Merfolk - human + fish
Sphinx - lion + human
Manticore - lion + human (+ bird)
Cockatrice - bird + lizard
Griffin - lion + bird
Medusa/lamia* - snake + human
Harpy/angel* - human + bird
Minotaur - bull + human
Hippocampus - horse + fish
Faun/satyr* - goat + person
Centaur - horse + person
Hippogriff - horse + bird
Ammit - hippo + lion + crocodile
Merlion - lion + fish
Jackalope - rabbit + deer
Drider - elf + spider
Gnoll - hyena + human
Owlbear - owl + bear
Wyrven - lizard + bird
Werewolf - dog + person
Ichthyocentaur - fish + horse + human
Ophitaurus - bull + snake
All the best for your planning and playing.

Oh, the Thing with the Ghosts, the Boys, and the Car?
Well, 15.03 The Rupture was rough, I mean I was giggling all over the place but apparently being gleeful to the extreme is how I react to drama in this show, and well other shows too. And make dumb jokes. I love dumb jokes, especially puns and wordplay. It doesn’t even have to be that witty, I’ll like it anyway. I like them so much, I sometimes make up game involving them. Will you play with me?
Part 4. Let’s Play a Game
There’s this fun part about knowing multiple languages, aside the usual perks, and that is getting the same thing twice with translations. A good translation, or even an adequate one, is something that tickles my fancy just the right way that I might chuckle about it years later. And I do, quite frequently in fact: last Sunday I spent an hour and a half reading the titles of Supernatural episodes in different languages. Just reading, chuckling about their wittiness, sensing patterns, and thinking that wait, wasn’t there already an episode with that name?
So, let’s play a game. The game is called What episode is this, and to play you first need a show that gives its episodes creative, flatout referential, often very punny or wordplay heavy, liberal titles that vary a great deal. Supernatural is excellent for this, Bob’s Burgers is great, Doctor Who might also work, and then maybe Futurama, as well as countless of other ones that maybe don’t take themselves too seriously. I can’t imagine one those alphabet crime shows that occasionally add a location to the title of the spin-off would have punny titles, but what do I know, I can’t even tell them apart. Secondly, go to Wikipedia, take up List of Supernatural episodes, pick a language other than English, and bravo, have fun for hours, maybe years if you’re anything like me. If you don’t know other languages, sucks to be you, learn one and carry on, or get friend who does, this is actually more fun with company. Unfortunately, looking at Wikipedia, there wasn’t that many other languages that had the episode titles translated, and I’m sure they exist but they are somewhere that is not just Wikipedia. But we’ll make do with what we have now.
Possible variations of this game, especially with other people involved, includes making it an actual game with maybe like a quiz format: options, hints, literal translations, providing additional context as clue, since some can be quite complex and since we’re obviously talking about Supernatural there’s 300+ episodes to choose from. So maybe keep the list of episodes next to you as well. Of course, it’s sometimes a bit hit or a miss, because if an episode is called Sin City, it’s probably always called Sin City, and sometimes they are just direct literal translations, with minor differences. However, the game can still be a lot of fun with the rest of the episodes. So let me give some examples, with some added reasoning why the answer is not always as obvious it first seems.
Example 1. Noita palaa elämään (Finnish) – The Witch comes back to life
Some context behind the name: Noita palaa elämään is a Finnish horror movie from 1952 which in the US if I recall correctly was distributed under the name The Witch. The only reason I’m excited about this title is because I’ve been obsessed with the film ever since I saw it, at around six or seven years old, and I re-enacted some of the scenes with my Barbies back in the day, and the imagery has seeped into my mind, well, at least the good magical parts have, but the rest is a bit hokey and weird. You can actually find it in Youtube, without subtitles, soz.
Anyway, there’s a lot of witches in Supernatural, Dean hates them, and some of them even come back to life, most notably Rowena who previously had her spell at least twice resurrect her. This episode is not about her, it’s from the time before Rowena, and the witch that supposedly comes back to life wasn’t even technically dead, though she is by the end of the episode. She is however, a very specific, well-known witch.
Answer: 9.04 Slumber Party
Example 2.  Jack (French)
The French translation has a very specific and repeating pattern of naming the episodes after characters or even monsters when it’s their first and sometimes only appearance. Like they can even be very insignificant, and yet, the episode is named after them. For example, and it amuses to me no end that there are episodes called Donatello (11.21 All in the Family), Rowena (10.05 Girls, Girls, Girls), and Maggie et Rose (2. 11 Playthings), as well as Le Shojo (7.20 Party on, Garth) or La Lamia (6.04 Weekend at Bobby’s), which weirdly enough only features in the episode basically as a passing mention. Following the French logic, an episode called Jack must be his first appearance, or maybe the second, I suppose.
Answer: 13.01 Lost and Found
Example 3. Das Licht der Finsternis (German) – The light of Darkness
Unlike the French, the German translation does not follow repeating naming patterns, with the exception of season 11, where the episodes featuring the Darkness, aka Amara, all include the word darkness or Die Finsternis in one form or other. Additionally there is an episode called just Die Finsternis, but that’s not in season 11, it’s actually the last episode of season 10, Brother’s Keeper, where the Darkness is released. Either way, the episode pool narrows down significantly, and based on rest of the name itself it’s possible to just guess which episode is in question.
Answer: 11.23 Alpha and Omega
So, the titles can be either obscure culture specific references that somehow relate to episode, follow some type of pattern, plainly obvious but somehow still puzzling, something that basically mean the same thing with slightly different wording. And then there’s false friends and all around weirdness I can’t quite explain.
If you don’t know, false friends in the field of linguistics means words or expressions in different languages that look the somewhat similar, and you might think they mean the same, but they are deceitful and mean something completely different. Like, how sensible in French is raisonnable but the French sensible means sensitive. This works somewhat with the episode titles as well. I mean they’re extreme deceitful.
Example 4. Façon Scooby-Doo (French) – The Scooby Doo way
One would think this is Scoobynatural. It is not. In fact, Scoobynatural is just called Scoobynatural. So let’s dig deeper. In Scooby Doo the villain is usually a person who covets something and in order to achieve disguises themselves as a monster of sorts. Again, this could fit with Scoobynatural, and quite a few other episodes, but the key is that the episode follows the way Scooby Doo episodes have been fashioned: the monster is not real, someone made it up, and it’s a person donning a suit. But it’s Supernatural so things get a lot worse.
Answer: 9.15 #Thinman
Example 5. Le Sacrifice (French)
It’s not 8.23 Sacrifice, which is called L'Arc de Cupidon, or the bow of Cupid, which was in the episode but had a comparatively minor role. Instead, this episode does have a sacrifice in it, but since this is Supernatural, there are sacrifices left right and centre, it should be noted that this is perhaps the first major sacrifice, the one that pretty much propels the rest of the series.
Answer: 2.01 In My Time of Dying
Example 6. Teuflischer Engel (German) – Devilish Angel
It not 11.18 Hell’s Angel, but there is an angel who does bad things pertaining to Hell. They also make others do bad things for them, and force Dean to live his past traumas. It doesn’t end well.
Answer: 4.16 On the Head of a Pin
Example 7. Quoi de neuf, docteur? (French) – What’s up, doc?
Yes, it’s the thing Bugs Bunny says. However, the French are funny, and this is the name of two different episodes, the one of which makes all the sense, and the other which makes no sense at all whatsoever. Well, actually, Dean says the line in the episode to a doctor of sorts, but that’s about it. Though the funny thing is, the French title is probably easier to say, even if you don’t speak French. Additionally, Quoi de neuf docteur is the French title for the series Growing Pains, but that’s irrelevant and I just wanted to point it out.
Answer: 8.08 Hunter Heroici and 13.05 Advanced Thanatology
You get the gist. It’s a fun game, and I didn’t present some of the other more obscure titles or the ones that are sort of the same but not. I genuinely don’t know if others find this as amusing as I do, but I wanted to share it anyway. I hope it gives at least the tiniest bit of joy. If not, tell me what games you play instead.
