पीएम मोदी ने महत्मा गाँधी और लाल बहादुइ शास्त्री को दी श्रद्धांजलि

नई दिल्ली : देश के राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गाँधी की 151 वीं जयंती पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने राजघाट जाकर राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। वहीं, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी विजय घाट पर भी गए जहां उन्होंने पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। आज लाल बहादुर शास्त्री का जन्मदिन भी है। सबसे पहले प्रधानमंत्री राजघाट पहुंचे जहां उन्होंने महात्मा गांधी की समाधि पर पुष्प अर्पित कर उन्हें नमन किया।

Former Prime Minister of the country Lal Bahadur Shastri's birthday is celebrated on October 2. That is, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri were born on the same day and their anniversaries are celebrated on October 2. Gandhiji and Shastriji dedicated their entire lives to the country. Lal Bahadur Shastri dedicated his life to the service of the poor. Shastriji was born on October 2, 1904 in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh to Sharda Prasad and Ramdulari Devi. Lal Bahadur Shastri has made a special contribution to the independence of the country. In 1920, Shastri joined the Indian War of Independence. Among the movements in which he played an important role in the freedom struggle were the Non-Cooperation Movement of 1921, the Dandi March of 1930 and the Quit India Movement of 1942. - Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri was born on 02 October 1904 in Mughalsarai, Uttar Pradesh. His father died when Shastriji was only a year and a half old.

- Lal Bahadur Shastriji was sent to live with his uncle so that he could pursue higher education. Everyone in the house was calling him Nanhe. They walked many miles barefoot to school, even on the scorching heat of the day, to study barefoot.

- Lal Bahadur Shastri had made up his mind to do something nationally since he was just 11 years old. At the age of 16, he quit his studies and joined Gandhiji's non-cooperation movement.

- Lal Bahadur Kashi joined Vidya Peeth. His name was written as 'Shastri' in his bachelor's degree from Vidya Peeth, and the same name was associated with his name and his full name became Lal Bahadur Shastri.

- He spent a total of seven years in a British prison for participating in Mahatma Gandhi's non-cooperation movement.

- After independence, he came to New Delhi in 1951 and took charge of several departments of the Union Cabinet. He was Minister of Railways, Minister of Transport and Communications, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of Home Affairs and Minister without portfolio during Nehruji's illness.

- When Lal Bahadur Shastri became the Prime Minister in 1964 .. During his reign, in the year 1965, there was a war between India and Pakistan. At that time there was a severe drought in the country and the export of food items started. He appealed to the countrymen to fast for one day to avoid crisis. At the same time, he gave the slogan of 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan' for self-reliance in agricultural production.

- He once said in the same tone as his guru Mahatma Gandhiji - 'Hard work is like praying.' Lal Bahadur Shastri, who has the same idea as Mahatma Gandhi, is the identity of Indian culture.

- Lal Bahadur Shastri said, 'Those who rule should see how the people react to the administration. After all, the people are the main head of the country.

- He breathed his last on January 11, 1966 in Tashkent. Lal Bahadur Shastri died suddenly on January 10, 1966, just 12 hours after signing a peace treaty with Pakistan in Tashkent. Some people still consider his death a mystery.
