I wasn't really sure what kind of hairstyle to give to genderbent Mordecai so I kind of just...did a low bun?

I didn't change their face shapes at all since all the women in Lackadaisy have a round face :(

expanding on @dracxula's idea that wolf would be a blankflank into adulthood because his cutiemark could be something related to being good/helping people, which he wouldnt discover until later, i think on the other hand, snakes cutiemark would be smth related to lock picking which would contribute to his internalized belief that he cannot be good because his "special talent" is something typically directly associated with crime. his personal journey would entail finding ways to use this skill in ways that help people instead. but i cant design cutiemarks for shit so he doesnt have one in the pic LMAO

All in a days work?

Merigold!Rocky has the habit of taking on most of the dirty work Mordecai and him get assigned, and Rocky being Rocky it's usualy in the most reckless way possible.

They are like a father and daughter duo

Been a day, thinking very much about Mordecai and Rocky and their narrative parallels-

Their endless devotion to their respective authority figures.

How their flesh got brutally opened up, as they continued to risk their lives further for a sinking business. Their biggest weakness opened up. rockys (literal) mind cracked for all to bare. Mordecais chest (his heart) previously tucked away behind clean facades, now forever changed.

Their distance with their families, being the older brother figures. Their unfair circumstances which were “saved” by their respective figure of worship.

Rocky’s endless chaos and fires, his brutallity always hands off. Always with dynamite and flaming vehicles and trickery first. Distant but filled with passion. Mordecais always hands on, a hatchet and gun in his hand. Precise and deadly, intimate but emotionless.

Their methods can’t kill the other, but it stumbles them, they get up afterwards and continue to work.

Mordecais love for mathematics and strategy. Rocky’s love for music and poetry.

Endless frown and forever grin.

And yet their only canon interaction has mordecai do a offhand comment about rocky’s tie. Rocky’s only opinion of him is if he hurt mitzi’s feelings.

Their off-canon interactioms are comedy, their contrasting personalities clashing and turned into a double act. The straight man and the funny man
