Have you seen the below post about the “Biticode Methods” on reputed websites: In recent days this has become a trend by some people to promote their products. Unmasking the Dark Side: Corruption in the Indian Film Industry
Unmasking the Dark Side: Corruption in the Indian Film Industry
Introduction: The Indian film industry, often referred to as Bollywood and Tollywood, has garnered international recognition for its vibrant storytelling, charismatic actors, and mesmerising song and dance sequences. However, behind the glitz and glamour lies a murky reality. Corruption, like an unwelcome guest, has found its way into the very heart of the Indian film industry, tarnishing its…

Dean complimenting fellow queer people on their game
Bonus inverse, trying to out-game someone to vicariously flirt for/with your presumed-but-not-at-all-straight friend who has no game whatsoever:
#it's striking how Sam will nod along in his Good Ally way but Dean is the one relating and being seen on this unspoken higher level#anyway can we add that scripted one to the censorship pile as a safe assumption? Yockey wrote it he'd Know#wild how transparently obvious it is spn's writing room was full of queer creatives+supporters who fought for diversity against corporate#it speaks to the experience because it's from the experience#people who refuse to get that are telling on their own lack of knowledge of The Life irl. based on this palette
#puyo puyo#ringo ando#my stuff#been in a bit of a slump so ive just been messing with palettes that make me feel something.#of course ringo was my first one#the lack of green makes me a bit upset but i told myself id stick to the palette no matter what#(any shades were made by layering slightly transparent strokes of the palette colors)

Family Tree Version 3, now featuring dwarves, hobbits, and the intricacies of however ainur are related!
Double lines on each side of a line break are used where lines overlap (---ll | ll---). Dashed lines indicate unknown numbers of generations, and dotted lines are for adoption. Grey text is used for alternative/old draft versions and assumed relationships (such as sticking oropher in with the sons of galadhon, or putting one of the dunedain as the tooks' fairy ancestor).
Version 2 here
#silm#silmarillion#lotr#lord of the rings#family tree#house of finwe#house of thingol#elves#ainur#valar#numenoreans#edain#rohirrim#hobbits#assorted hobbits#okay that covers everybody i think#fun fact! progress on this has significantly slowed down because the file has gotten so big it now takes three minutes to open or save#not to mention the lag while adding people#why are hobbits so horizontal -_-#theres so many of them... in so few generations...#im planning on changing the transparency of the grey text to reflect different canonicity levels but the layers keep crashing my laptop#theres a few people im missing i think#i dont remember if i got erellont in there? and i know im missing the tol eressea bunch and the giant whale#also yes the trees get to be in here too :)#sorry for the lack of closeups i couldnt get it to stay loaded for long enough#i might transfer this to a more powerful computer for getting all the pics off it later#oh well ill figure that out once i finish

I've seen an increase in accordion content warnings (not the instrument, the collapsible drop down menu which is otherwise hidden except for a tiny symbol) in the author's notes on AO3.
Please don't use these.
They're hard to notice, and you can just put your content warnings in the end notes and say they're there, and a person can click, see them, and then return to the back of the chapter.
The tiny little arrow is not super accessible, is not visually immediate to readers, and is not a 'clever way' of hiding your content warnings (which should also be in the goddamned tags unless you ran into a tag limit or are just writing 400~ kinks and can't be bothered).
You're not supposed to be hiding your content warnings. Spoilers never matter more than your content warnings. You can choose to put your content warnings in the end notes and avoid the spoilers, because a sentence: 'CWs in the end notes' is so much clearer than a tiny little > symbol that people have to click to see all your warnings.
Don't do it.
Save the cleverness for a site that's not built on being open and transparent about your content warnings if you're not going to choose Creator Chose Not To Use.
#on fanfiction#i feel like this is representative#of a growing lack of understanding#of fandom etiquette#and the purpose of transparency around tags and CWs in the first place#that or someone just wants to show off their coding skills#but seriously a lot of users do not know what they even are#and there's no need to reinvent the wheel#just do what most people do if they want folks to have a choice#put em in the end notes

something interesting I've noticed in this campaign's discourse is that there's a fascinating moving of goalposts closer to what I (and others with similar opinions) said originally. Like, consider:
this ship isn't interesting because it lacks conflict being met first with "yes it is, you're just evil haters" to "must ships have conflict to be interesting?" to "well if things were DIFFERENT you'd like it"-style claims, threaded through constantly with "obviously it's great/bc I have eyes" tell-and-never-explain style arguments
or
"Bells Hells isn't as bonded" met with "YES THEY ARE THEY PLAYED WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT??" to "they would be bonded, but for the plot, which I see as something separable from the story and not the story itself" to "um actually it's better that they're not because that makes it different from the past campaigns where the characters had strong and complex relationships with each other, and novelty is always superior."
#the other fun thing to watch is people bashing orym bc it's pretty transparent they don't like do/rym for whatever reason#but they can't actively attack that bc robbie initiated it and they've developed a saw trap for themselves where you can't criticize him#bc you can't criticize any nonwhite or female or disabled characters and you can't pin this on chetney so. it is orym's fault#for wanting to talk with the person he has had a crush on for months instead of people who rely on him being strong and normal#the breathtaking lack of empathy remains but honestly at this point it's funny watching the cirque du soleil level contortions#the thing about c2 discourse is it was vicious but i did not think the people involved were brainless and heartless#just deeply unkind and lost in the sauce of hiatus-era conspiracy theories; here? zero redeeming qualities.#cr tag

I have seen that Louisa May Alcott vs. Lucy Maud Montgomery post and sadly my opinion is one apt to make both sides upset to some degree.
#LMM is stylistically the better writer without a shade of a doubt#I find LMA's concepts much more interesting even if the development is much more lacking#both had very hard livew#but there's a strange self consciousness in LMM that I dislike#a sense that she's watching herself write and is painfully conscious of her audience at every step#LMA is transparent and there's attraction in that (same as Charlotte Brontë)#bottom line is that LMM is the superior artist on a technical level#but LMA is more appealing at an experiential level

so this stuff about a driver broadcasting p*rn on jonathan wheatley’s pit wall monitor is GROSS. sorry, but it's actually not funny. it shows exactly the kind of culture that festers in motorsports teams, especially when sexist behavior goes unpunished. it's plain unprofessional as well. f1 is an incredibly prestigious motorsports series, and the pit lane is outside and around cameras and the public. this "joke" is the kind of shit bored college frat boys pull. but f1 isn't college, it isnt just messing around. it's a multibillion dollar industry, and if they want people to take them seriously and believe they actually care about the future of the sport, this can't just be taken as a funny joke. i promise you, it isn't a one-off. it's a symbol of a broader culture that doesn't respect professionalism or women.
#ivy yaps#getting serious here.#jonathan wheatley#motorsports#just because f1 is a sport doesnt mean you can excuse inappropriate behavior.#boys club atmospheres have thrived in these areas and its part of the reason there are so few women in motorsports#also: to clarify#i do not think p*rn is inherently bad but i know that a lot of it is directed at men and inherently really misogynistic#and that its super unprofessional to have it in any form at a workplace. grow up#red bull f1#i mean#look. remember what happened with horner last year?#and how there was a complete lack of transparency on who conducted the investigation and how it was done#and we're just supposed to trust it was done completely fairly and people just forgot#this shit fucking matters#MAYBE it could be a one off#if it were just this. maybe its a certain driver who was a teenager and needed to get his head out of his ass.#but other shit has happened at rbr across the years so theres absolutely no reason to trust them now.

#Drew#May#so there's this weird thing that seems to mostly happen with contest edits specifically#where they just go wild with the overlay and transparency and copy-pasting character pngs on top of other images nonsensically.#I don't know why but so many of them make weird decisions of overlaying one character like this. strange phenomenon.#I'll have to make a compilation at some point. it's weird how much it happens in comparison to other ships.#I've also noticed that amour edits tend to be in the most illegible fonts#and pokeshipping edits have a lot of typos#and there's a weird lack of ikari edits? which is unfortunate because whenever paul's in an edit it's fucking hilarious.
