Were already somewhat aware of how Labby acts towards Alfred, but how does he interact and/or act around other alters? Is there any he's acquainted with? Some he just straight up hates?

Happy Friday Ghouls and Ghosts!

Today we're getting into another obscure film from the Disturbing Movie Iceberg -- Where the Dead Go to Die (2012, dir. Jimmy ScreamerClauz). "The film’s narrative is split into three chapters: “Tainted Milk”, “Liquid Memories”, and “The Masks That Monsters Wear”. In each of these is a demon dog named Labby (a play on Lassie) who plays as “God’s messenger” and convinces the children (particularly the boys Tommy and Ralph) to commit horrendous acts of sex and violence. . . The adults present for the children are the same forces the children are attempting to escape from which pushes them to listen to Labby’s advice even further. This leaves the main characters Tommy, Sophia, and Ralph stuck between a rock and a hard place throughout the film’s entirety as on one hand they can choose to stay in physical and sexual abuse situations or on the other they can be controlled by a malevolent force to be a part of much worse things. It’s a plot very wrapped up in exploring a lose-lose scenario." This film was a wild ride from start to finish, however I'm very glad to have watched and written about it. I hope y'all enjoy! im a mutual but this is my guilty pleasure niche so! anon time. have you looked into the connections between where the dead go to die and the alfred alfer series ? the meta stories between the creators are interesting as well, so long as you understand the type of people they are

I know that Labby is in both, but I haven't revisited AA in a long time. That sounds really interesting though, especially the meta stories between creators... I used to be pretty into alfred alfer as a young edgy teen and so for better and worse it occupies a special place for me despite the fact that its creator has become such a POS

Where the Dead go to Die rewrite

WARNING, this post will contain very disturbing subject matter, if you are easily squeamish then I recommend not reading this post.

Happy Halloween everyone, for my Halloween idea post I am gonna look at "Where the Dead go to Die". This animated horror film is considered by many to be one the worst animated films of all time. I want to see if I could somehow make the film actually scary and not trying to shock you every minute. So here is my outline for a "Where the Dead go to die" rewrite:

The film opens up in Hell where we meet with Labby, a hell hound who will act as our host for the evening as he tells stories on how certain sinners end up in Hell and how they would die.

For the first story, we see a little boy named Tommy. Tommy's mother is pregnant and both parents are spending so much time preparing for the baby that have no time to play with Tommy. Tommy starts to resent his parents and thinks about how his parents might not spend any time with him when the baby is born. As time goes by, he starts contemplating killing the baby. One day, he decides to act on his thoughts and kills the baby with a knife, ending up killing his mother in the process. Once the deed is done, his father walks in and is frightened and runs to the living room to call the cops, only for Tommy to kill him as well before he could pick up the phone. We then cut to Tommy throwing the bodies of his parents down a well. Knowing what he did can't be forgiven, he jumps down the well, drowning in the process.

For the second story, we see a scientist named Evan that is experimenting on a recently deceased body when he comes across an amazing discovery. When a person dies, an ooze flows out of their brain that happens to be their memories. He publishes the discovery and soon, he is met by a group of shadowy individuals that are willing to pay top dollar for the liquid memories. Due to only seeing positives, Evan starts extracting memories from bodies that he gets in. Soon, he starts to run out of bodies to extract memories from, so out of desperation for more money, he starts kidnapping and killing people behind the scenes in order to extract their memories to sell to the shadowy figures, until one day he kidnaps someone who turns out to be an undercover cop who calls for backup which shoot Evan down.

The final story opens up with a college kid named Ralph who was born with a face deformity and comes from a very religious family. Due to his face deformity his parents view him as a demon and other people make fun of him so he wears a mask to hide his face from the world. Due to his religious upbringing, he is unable to hang out with women as he is taught that men and women should be separate unless they are married. One day, Ralph meets a woman named Sophia who doesn't judge Ralph based on his appearance as she believes it is what is on the inside that counts. The two start to slowly become friends over time, until on day, Ralph decides that he wants to marry Sophia but Sophia rejects his proposal due to both of them still being in college and only seeing Ralph as a friend. Ralph, refusing to take no for an answer decides to kidnap her, and do unspeakable stuff. Soon Sophia escapes by stabbing Ralph through the chest and tells him that he is just as ugly on the outside as he is on the inside.

With that, we cut back to labby torturing the souls of the three main characters as he tells the viewer that if they let their envy, greed or lust consume them, then they will end up in hell just like Tommy, Evan, and Ralph. The End.

So, what do you guys think, did I make the story of Where the dead go to Die better or did I somehow make it worse. Either way, I wish you all a happy Halloween.

Why didn’t anyone tell me The Omen was a boring mess before I bought it? It’s not even boring like “slow burn” boring, it’s boring like “literally nothing happens for an hour and thirty minutes.” Don’t get me wrong, the parts that get into the meat and potatoes are all really good, but watching Gregory Peck’s quirked eyebrow and the almost uncanny dialogue for the duration of the film really took the wind out of my sails.

But seriously, Peck’s delivery on his lines was so theatrical and over acted. NO ONE TALKS THE WAY HE AND HIS WIFE DO.

Also i really love how quick the mom decides Damien is the antichrist. “Oh my 5 year old son and I went to the zoo and had a great time, but the baboons were acting a fool and being like wild beasts. My son must be Satan.” And then she dies.

Also also, was the dog supposed to be Satan? Or was the Nanny supposed to be Satan? I don’t exactly understand what was up with the dogs. All I know is I don’t trust dogs in horror ever since Labby from Where the Dead Go to Die.
