Bugs gate! They are bugs* now, they fight in the tall grass and drink from rain drops. This started when I was drawing my fey astarion, thinking what bugs would they all be. :""D close ups and explanation for my picks bellow!

Wyll: He is a Weewyll :D yeah i chose weevil based on name only :"D but weevils are amazing, prettiest bugs and they tend to have long protrusions on their heads which reminds me of his horns. I also gave him acorn shoulderpads because of acorn weevil Karlach: Stag beetle! I knew she would be one of the big beetles, rhino and goliath were also considered but stags have nice pinchers that work well for her horns Gale: Scarab beetle. Gale was a tough one, I considered orbweaver but i dont think spiders fit him, Scarabeus is bug most associated with magic, also they are often depicted with orbs bc of dung rolling :"D and beetle makes sense for him Astarion: mosquito of course. I considered also vampire moth, or one of the blood drinking butterfly species, but I know in my heart he is a mosquito Minthara: Black widow. An easy pick for her :"""D I didn't even consider anything other than spider but assasin bug would also be cool they are my favourite bugs Halsin: He is a mole cricket! Now this pick makes sense because in my language, slovak, we call mole cricket medvedík, which translates to little bear (they are also called Krtonôžka, which is literally mole feeted :"D) so I had to pick it. Also both mole crickets and Halsin have nice big arms Shadowheart: She is a lunar moth! Lunar- selune, its self explenatory. Moths being nocturnal and goth fits her Lae'zel: Praying mantis! I considered making her a frog but decided to make them all bugs. Mantises are aliens among the bugs, and they are perfect hunters.

That last ask made me think, if Parim were still around somehow what would be his opinion on each of the ROs for his baby sibling? What would be his ranking from most to least favourite?

He wouldn’t really be the type to rank them as such, as he trusts that if MC chose to marry that person, they love/trust them and his primary concern is that MC will be happy and secure in their marriage. Marriages in Theia, even between nobles, prioritize emotional compatibility/attraction whenever possible after all. His scrutiny of each RO would be carried out very subtly and cordially. I’ll answer more based on early(ish) impressions 🤔—at least those he would voice aloud with MC.

I thought maybe Egypt would work with the vaporwave theme.

I picked the scarab beetle because it symbolizes rebirth, resurrection, transformation and protection. He's died so many times and he's been trying to help Andrew, Jake and Andy get new bodies and live a life as kids like they wanted.

The bracelets I picked because of Earth and her love of rabbits and also Lunar called Eclipse a 'traumatized bunny' at one point.

The glasses are butterflies because of that dimension him and Puppet went to.

Winged Scarab Pendant of Tutankhamun

This winged scarab pendant of cloisonné technique is inlaid with semiprecious stones and colored glass. The central element of the pendant is a scarab of Libyan desert glass, grasping on one side a lotus and on the other a papyrus flower, flanked by two uraei, or rearing cobras.

A gold frame outlines the main composition and supports pendants of lotus flowers, papyrus, and poppy seed heads. A slim solar boat rests upon the front feet of the scarab and carries the wadjet or Eye of Horus. It is flanked by two uraei or rearing cobras.

The wadjet eye is surmounted by a lunar crescent of gold and a silver disk with images of the gods. Thoth and Ra-Horakhty can be seen crowning the central figure of king Tutankhamun.

Quick notes on Wolfsbane's family

The Ardeleans are part of a people nomadic in spirit and ancient in culture that worships the Lunar God. Their particular denomination of the Lunar Church follows an entirely nocturnal lifestyle. Like moths and certain types of scarabs, they use the Moon to navigate and orientate themselves. Their eternal pursuit of the Moon is their ultimate pledge of devotion towards their God.

After a particularly harsh winter that closed up the strait's crossings with fragile ice, the Ardeleans and their group were forced to set up a settlement and want until spring came to thaw the world. That is when David Ardelean became a Preacher of the Lunar God, or so he said. His church gained followers and they soon became their own branch, abandoning their traveling to make this new place their forever home. It was not their God that they revered anymore, but rather a tyrant's unorthodox folly.

Kavi is the eldest of Ioana and David's children. He's a sour-faced man the size of a wardrobe that usually takes on the role of the family's protector.

Dorin is the "village beauty", or so everyone says, and they believe it. They're vain, frivolous, and tremendously hedonistic— good and compassionate at heart, regardless.

Andrei and Mihai were born together yet they can't stand one another. They're always following each other, though. Blood runs thick, it seems.

Avram is the only child of the Ardeleans to have a learning disability. The lack of support available for him made him focus his attention on practical matters rather than academics. He is an excellent carpenter, a good shepherd, and an admirable man.

Iza was quiet and responsible. He was always smiling about something, always giving his own things and meals to the rest. He worked extremely hard to make the settlement welcoming, and would often be busy running errands all day. Of all their siblings, Wolfsbane was the closest to Iza, which is why his unnatural death turned their world upside down.

Wolfsbane (Albany) was a cheerful kid that explored the world through their incredibly curious mind and eyes. A quick learner, a back talker, they were never quite liked by the rest of their peers, least of all their father.

Anairis is philosophical and kind but slightly naive. She's clueless about the nature of their cult and is often the most gullible and the first one to blindly follow orders.

If you're wondering who these new scarab/scorpion characters are... I gotchu! Toph, Scara, Revna and Zephyr are the students of Scorpio! Basically being sort of warriors of sorts that train under his wing (Toph is a messanger! Not a warrior btw) I got the idea when watching RID with some friends and one of them saying "Wouldn't it be cool if Scorpio had little students like Drift has with Jetstorm and Slipstream?" and that's how they were made! They are quite small! Being around Lunar's current size... But don't be fooled! They can leave a mark! I imagine that when they are not really needed, they will conceal themselves by turning into pieces of Scorpio's jewelry that he wears on his person! Also as much as Scorpio denies being their father.... He certainly acts like one to them. Here's how I would describe each of the mini's: Zephyr: The more silent of them, only talks when spoken too and acts as the mediator for the others. (scarab) Scara: The leader of the group, very outspoken and is sort of in command when Scorpio is absent, she's very punctual and serious towards her teammates but does try to be less strict at times. (scorpion) Revna: Much more of the reckless one, always trying to prove herself to those around them but at times goes a little far with they're actions... But is very loyal to her friends and boss. (scorpion) Toph: The youngest of the four. Toph is the messanger for Scorpio and can be seen interacting with the other astrals most of the time when they are not in Scorpio's area. She is very kind and gentle, she's considered to be the most pacifistic but she can leave quite the mark during fights. (scarab) (The scorpion and scarab thing is cause I imagine Scorpio liking Egyptian culture)

I might have made minor scarab/scorpion astrals that are assistants/warriors for Scorpio... They are heavily inspired from Drift's minicons from RID 2015 (Robots in Disguise) and from the fact how Taurus said that all astral's technically have their own messangers and or warriors. I imagine that Scorpio has four! 2 being scarabs and the other two being scorpions! While they are a bit small.. Being around Lunar's current size in the new body.... They leave a mark! Lore Dump - Fauna

Fauna are generally placed into three categories, known to the people as the Chosen and the Wrathful as the two primary, and pestfeed as the third.

The Chosen animals and the Wrathful are said to both be created by the gods, providing both docile companions and dangerous beasts. For now, we will just cover the Chosen, as I am still working on the other two categories.

The Chosen consist of:

Sunspheres—the Aura's chosen, a pillbug-like creature that is about the size of a cat. It is a good house pet with stinging pincers and sheds goldleaf.

Lunar Scarabs—the Argenta's chosen, a massive pearlescent scarab that is used as a pack mule. It can store tribe supplies in its back and still have room to shelter up to 8 Argenta during sandstorms while traveling.

Stoneshells — the Stanna's chosen, a tortoise-like creature with a rocky shell that grows barnacles and other small pestfeed. They are very wise in their ability to survive safely disguised as rocks.

Speckleshells — the Cobalta's chosen, a medium sized shelled creature that can fly by its own magical means. The inside of their mouth produces a thick oil that can be used to make paint.

Copperfish — the Cupra'a chosen, these small swarms of flying silverfish-like bugs act as compost. They are considered pestfeed to some groups.

Snappers — the Niccola's chosen, a shark-like beast with a camel-like fatty lump across its belly that retains water from the seraphic sea in the sky. They can descend and live in tanks or ponds made from water falling, and are often mounts.

Vathib's Death — the Titana's chosen, a hybrid between a dragonfly and a scorpion that is fierce and protective of its family, and regularly sheds carapace by playfighting with each other. A Titana's soulbound companion and mount.

Rusty Scarabs — the Ferra's chosen, a scarab the size of a large rat that eats rot, fecal matter, and waste, but also enjoys balling up metal sand, as it likes to eat rust. The ball is baked in its shell into a metal pearl for smiths.

Carrioners — the Plumba's chosen, this large mantis-like creature with tentacle-like limbs can only see decay, and feed on rot. Their spit is a natural disinfectant, often harvested for medical use.

Pestfiends — the Alumina's chosen, a centipede-like creature which reproduces asexually by severing one of its ever-expanding segments. They can also spit acidic substances, and are often pocket size.

Silkweavers — the Hydragyri's chosen, a shelled octopus-like creature that spits a silk substance which it uses for trapping prey and for making nests.

Furred Ones — the Lithoi's chosen, an unusual fuzzy moth-like creature that produces milk and has a marsupial pouch. It is a foreign creature to the Sun-Touched Sands, following the Lithoi from their exile and escape over the Endless Dunes.
