Winged Scarab Pendant of Tutankhamun

This winged scarab pendant of cloisonné technique is inlaid with semiprecious stones and colored glass. The central element of the pendant is a scarab of Libyan desert glass, grasping on one side a lotus and on the other a papyrus flower, flanked by two uraei, or rearing cobras.

A gold frame outlines the main composition and supports pendants of lotus flowers, papyrus, and poppy seed heads. A slim solar boat rests upon the front feet of the scarab and carries the wadjet or Eye of Horus. It is flanked by two uraei or rearing cobras.

The wadjet eye is surmounted by a lunar crescent of gold and a silver disk with images of the gods. Thoth and Ra-Horakhty can be seen crowning the central figure of king Tutankhamun.

I thought maybe Egypt would work with the vaporwave theme.

I picked the scarab beetle because it symbolizes rebirth, resurrection, transformation and protection. He's died so many times and he's been trying to help Andrew, Jake and Andy get new bodies and live a life as kids like they wanted.

The bracelets I picked because of Earth and her love of rabbits and also Lunar called Eclipse a 'traumatized bunny' at one point.

The glasses are butterflies because of that dimension him and Puppet went to.

Unknown Egyptian Artisan, Pectoral with Solar and Lunar Emblems, from the Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62), New Kingdom - Dynasty XVIII, ca. 1330-1323 BCE

At the heart of this magnificent pectoral pendant from the Tomb of Tutankhamun there is a scientific wonder. Since the time of its discovery, archaeologists assumed the central scarab was carved from some kind of semiprecious gemstone. In the catalogue of the famous 1976 exhibition it is listed as chalcedony. However, at the time of the recent reinstallation of items from Tut's tomb at the new Egyptian Musuem, some archaeologists began questioning that. It didn't add up. Tests were run. It's not a gem at all.

It's glass.

Morever, it's not man-made glass. This is a very specific, and very rare, natural glass found in the Sahara. In the Great Sand Sea on the border of western Egypt and eastern Libya there is an area of a very ancient meteor strike which set the desert on fire, and melted the sand into glass. This glass is called impactites.

To be poetic, it's glass from the gods. The ancient Egyptians highly prized it, and seem to have reserved it only for royal use.

Tut's tomb also included a dagger made of iron from a meteorite deposit, so it contained multiple instances of including the "cosmic" to be used in the afterlife.

Chariot. Mystic Spiral Tarot

Themes and Keywords Enclosure. Containment. Maternal protection. Guardianship. Triumph. Might. Grail quest. Self-control. The warrior in service; mission over self. Reason over appetite and will. Soul’s journey to meet the ineffable. Vehicles. Indirect motion. Astrology/Element The Chariot, with armored charioteer and indirect motion, is associated with the sign of Cancer, the Crab. Starting at the June solstice, cardinal water indicates the first and potent inrush of the element. Cancer is about control of the emotional realm. It is considered a maternal sign. At first glance the martial Chariot may not seem like a fit, yet there is nothing fiercer and more protective than a mother. Cancer is the fertilized womb; it is a nourishing and sustaining sign. At the time of the June solstice, Cancer marks the position of the sun. Mesopotamian cultures saw this point in the sky as a gateway for souls being incarnated. In Egypt, the constellation was Khepra, a form of sun god Ra, symbolizing fertility, life, and rebirth. Khepra, or Khepri, means “he who is coming into being.” Khepra “in Thy hiding,” at the midnight hour of the sun, is the scarab beetle that rolled the sun across the sky, through the underworld, from the abodes of night, and restored the sun at the dawn.21 Though a solar god, he is also lunar in the sense of his associations with night. Consider also the two riddles that the sphinx asked Oedipus: one about man’s growth, and one about dark and light. Upon hearing his correct answers, she threw herself into the abyss. The constellation of the charioteer is nearby, sharing a star with Taurus. Charioteers cared for the horses, livestock, and food supplies of their rulers, which seems Cancerian in nature. The story goes that the charioteer, Erichthonius, was a son (of Hephaestus and Hera) who inherited his father’s lameness. Solar, Tsu, and Scarab all have their own "wards" which are cookies that they have to repersent themselves.

Lunar Eclipse doesn't have one. Because she: simply does not want one.

'They were contained?' I hear you asking. Well the answer to that is, they all were! Sometime after Longan Dragon Cookie went to sleep the Beasts were sealed away by The Wizards. They were freed recently in increasingly humorous ways.

An Earthquake knocked the Orb containing Solar into it and he came out looking cool

A group of kids running around knocked the Pearl containing Tsu onto the floor, where it rolled to the beach that he is residing in.

Daffodil shattered Scarab's mirror in a fit of rage caused by her sister's indifference about the people of their city.

And, for lack of a better way to explain, Lunar Eclipse woke up because of Longan's... world ending attempt.

Solar, Tsu, and Scarab all refer to Lunar Eclipse as their mother, and as such, Longan as their parent, and the other dragons as their siblings.

... oh yeah, Lunar Eclipse and Longan were in a relationship for a very long time. Lunar Eclipse ended it when she learned about Longan's little world ending plan. She is still disgusted by them. But she remains polite towards the other dragons.

Lychee is her and Longan's child. All of the other dragons call her mom.
