You’d sat around all day, like an idiot just waiting for Jack.

It was your birthday and you felt stupid.

When you woke up this morning you were saddened to find the house looked the exact same as it did the night before, not a single balloon or banner in sight.

You made breakfast for you both as per usual and he kissed you goodbye before practice. no happy birthday.

Your friends had taken you to lunch, gifting you presents and a small cake.

When you returned home you found it empty still. Sitting on the couch, watching something on Netflix you ordered yourself takeout and waited for Jack to reply to your texts.

Eventually around 10 you watched Jesper’s instagram story, a video of the team out at some club and Jack was forefront of the video.

Your heart dropped, he had forgotten.

Part of you had hoped he was planning something before the end of the day, but he wasn’t. He forgot your birthday.

Just before midnight you pulled out the left over cake from lunch, put a candle in it and sang to yourself

“happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday y/n…”

And blew out the candle, a tear slipping down your face “happy birthday to me, I guess”

The front door then opens and Jack walks in, brightly smiling “Hey, you’re still up- woah what’s the cake for? What we celebrating?”

You sniffle “You forgot Jack”

He frowns “Forgot? Forgot what? C’mon tell me, tell your favourite guy what’s up, you’re crying babe”

You scowled at him “you’re not my favourite person today, Jack”

His face falls “What?”

“It’s my birthday Jack… you forgot my birthday”

He stumbles our apologies mixed with excuses but you just stand, shoving the cake plate into his hands “I hope you had a good day out, goodnight”

Some WIR-Verse Hotel Transylvania pokemon antics!

1. Murray with Harry, Mavis' timid little alolan Marowak back when he was a Cubone. I like the idea of these two getting along, since Harry's a ground type that evolves eventually into a Fire/Ghost type, both if which are pretty up Murray's ally. Plus...this found family seems the type where EVERYONE looks after the kids and pokemon, not just their parents/trainers.

2. Ericka has a female Indeedee named Magenta. Though Mag is probably a MAID at the hotel, female indeedee are supposedly good baby sitters. Ontop of this, both Lurch, Mag, and their daughter Audrey know a pretty powerful Psychic - the pokemon move equivalent of Vampire telekenesis. So, here's Magenta using her powerful psychic powers to stop some of the hotel's smallest residents from causing trouble before throwing them back to their parents. Bonus guest stars include @lovelylivelyv 's Jack Nephalem as a baby, Fiona the Ogre baby, one of the Dronkeys, Nala, Gary the deleted Mogwai, Dennis, Sunny, Winnie, and Meteora Butterfly.

3. Couldn't resist drawing Frank and Dave, Johnny's Low Key Toxtricity (Named after Dave Mathews' band, who's logo is on his necklace.) They just fit together BEAUTIFULLY.

4. Both Incineroar and Zoroark love children, so I had to draw Ericka's Kitty-Cat and Drac's Lulu with some of the hotel Kids. Special guests include Meteora again, Mac from Fosters, Winnie, Dennis, Sunny, Baby Blobby; and Mavis' baby indeedee, Audrey. (Named after Little Shop's Audrey Fulquard.)

You’d never been so scared until you saw him collapse onto the field. Everyone else in the box coddled you until someone came up to get you.

Downstairs, you pushed open the door to the medical room and saw him, still swaying around and hissing at the touch of his head.

It took a moment before he looked up and saw you. He saw the tears in your eyes.

“No, don’t cry. I hate it when you cry” he worries.

That makes you sob “I was so scared!”

“I’m ok! Russ, tell her I’m fine”

Russell looks at you, bites his lip and says “he will be ok if he listens to me for recovery”

Justin rolls his eyes at the physician “yeah ok” then back to you “baby, I’m fine c’mere”

You sniffle, sitting down in the fold out chair next to him and holding his hand. His thumb rubs over the back of your hand and you smile.

Even while he’s hurting he’s still soothing you.
