Mama Cyclonis :) aka Procellis of House Pingyang, "Boar of the West" and a well-awarded general during the War of Burning Glass.

Legacy of House Pingyang, Procellis was Anarchis' first choice for a political marriage between her and her (useless) son. Standing at 2m tall, she cut an intimidating figure, especially when you see her wielding her halberd charging at you on the battlefield.

The combined forces of her and her husband were able to turn the war to Cyclonia's favour, pushing the stalemate lines against Atmos until her untimely death during the Fall, only 23 and leaving behind her daughter and the heir to the Empire, Cyclonis.

While initially anonymous to her new husband, the two struck up a vitriolic friendship and eventual romance. Amusingly, Procellis continued fighting 3 months into her pregnancy until a doctor treating her wounds asked how she was going with the baby.

Her death was and continues to be mourned within Cyclonia to this day.

So it was true? Kid was one of these that tried to avoid check ups? It gives Mr 3 a morbid curiosity, since their first ever meeting, waaaaay back then at the cross guild exchange post—Fear didn’t seem a word on Kid’s vocabulary. His assistant was the same, hated doctors and everything. He knocked on the door. “Mr Eustass.” He raises a hand immediately after. “Ob—Obviously you know what I’m going to ask, riiiight? Don’t worry, ga ne. I’m pretty pretty preeeetty aware that there’s nothing I can say or do to bring you there. I mean….” He shrugs, even if he developed a bit more of mass in the last months, it would still take a thousand of years and a thousand of protein milkshakes to be able to compete with someone like Eustass. “I’m just.. a little curious. There's any reason to it? Doctors surely, due all their knowledge maybe only look in stats and such things. right?” Galdino picks up a newspaper, patting Kid’s shoulder respectfully since he knows that his captain don't like to be touched.

“Mr Eustass, are you feeling bullied or something by the medical staff? Surely I would avoid them as well if they keep nagging me about stuff, ga ne.” // are they being mean with captain? :( come on dont these woman have hearts?

Now they have Candlewick running errands for them too? The doctors on this ship were becoming far too persistent. He never had this problem while House was in charge. Routine check ups never used to be a headache he had to deal with on a reoccurring basis.

Even if Galdino was approaching him cautiously and mindfully, Kid wasn't willing to lower his guard. He couldn't trust him; not when he had a thinly veiled agenda. That was his plan; to betray him by making him think he was on his side, and then bribing him into the medical office. Acting like they were on good terms, then deceiving him. Kid wasn't going to fall for his manipulation, the wily bastard.

❝ Bullied? ❞

He repeats the word with a scoff, as if it tastes foul on his tongue.

❝ Ya think I'd let anyone bully me? Let alone my own crew? ❞

Shaking his head, he turns his attention back to his work desk, resuming his previous task of twisting several copper wires together with a pair of pliers. The assignment at hand wasn't particularly urgent, but it was something to occupy himself with, and therefore a good excuse to not return to Linn's office.

Though he's speaking gruffly, he's not angry; not at Galdino, not at Quincy, not at Linn. Not at any of them. Linn was only trying to perform her duties as a doctor, and Galdino was only intending to aid her. They both have the best intentions, and yet he's been fighting them all the way through this. He knows they mean well. He knows this is for his own sake; yet, he still doesn't want to be made to do it. The whole procedure was inconvenient, and boring, and irritating to sit through, and even after the results came in, it never seemed to end. Being told there was some part of his lifestyle he needed to modify, some aspect of his life he needed to change... He hated being told what to do. It felt invasive, regardless of it being done out of care.

Nothing was more frustrating than being denied a life of doing whatever he pleased to his body without repercussions, or the insertion of another's unwelcomed opinion. The luxury of not experiencing permanent discomfort had been earned through years of wanting, wanting, wanting, and yet being unable to have. If he wanted a damn drink, he would have one. If he wanted to take a pill or shove something up his nose, he would do that too. If he wanted to keep getting into reckless fights, then he would keep getting into reckless fights, even if that meant consequentially sustaining physical damage. He could take it; he could always take it. He didn't want to hear about longevity when the present was directly before him.

Today I Dreamt about the season 2 plot of Shadow and bone and wylan was like completely chaotic like it started with me on a train with the crows, and wylan joined us but there was some voice whispering to him so he set up a bomb and other bombs in various other places so.

somehow he was involved in building a third Temple and so when the the prayers were listening to “God” it's actually wylan and he tells them all to jump off a cliff so they do it.

and then like he just comes back to I think it's the little palace, and then like suddenly I was also an actor and the set and like Jesper was in a Durast kefta and so like I joked with Jack and like I said to him like “oh which line do you want to do first? like that's my line but I think your line would do better first,” and then i woke up.

(there was also a Loki subplot that i don't remember much of)
