FINALLY finished the trial by kafka. the last two chapters were actually genuinely interesting. why did i have to put myself through chapter 7 to get there though

DID WE REALLY#chapter 9 had vor dem gesetz! which was actually quite cool.#when we analysed it in class we didn't read the part where the characters do their own analysis. i liked that part it was interesting#and chapter 10 fascinates me i really like it#however. chapter 7. bane of my existence. WHY IS IT SO LONG!!!#and the only other really interesting part of the stuff before that is the. seemingly out-of-nowhere b.dsm scene in the closet#i'm not even exaggerating. there's a guy in leather with a whip#it's a whole thing#final verdict for the book: good! interesting! could've been more interesting if parts of it had been cut though#also the female characters are. questionable at best. or like specifically k's treatment of them. fräulein bürstner deserved better#can't have everything ig#echo.txt#german stuff#literature
