As someone who's grown up with cats literally their entire life, I'm tired of cats/cat characters always being 'cold, aloof, unaffectionate, independent' while dogs/dog characters are 'excitable, playful, fun, bouncy, super affectionate'.

Give me cats that are smothering in their attention. They're cuddly and happy and *want* that attention. Give me cats that are warm and nurturing. Who are playful and bouncy, who are gentle and nice.

Not all cats are the tropey 'cold and aloof and unaffectionate' thing. Sometimes are really, really snuggly, the curl up with you to sleep, lay on you and rub against you. They purr and quiver their tails.

Some are playful, whether it's playing with each other, flinging toys around, instigating a game of fetch(yes, cats will play fetch!), playing with YOU. They can be affectionate with each other and social and group animals (esp domestic cats) as much as dogs can.

Cats that WANT your attention and by god they will get it no matter what.
