So I had a Thought. Feel free to read the Thought.

So for those who have read KotLC and heard/watched Hamilton, this will appeal to you. Even if you haven't, it's fine. I'll explain what I'm trying to say anyway.

So: In "The World Was Wide Enough" from the end of Hamilton, right as Burr fires his gun, the time slows down, and Hamilton says all of the thoughts whirling through his mind at once. If you change/get rid of a few words, then it fits perfectly with what I think went through Keefe's mind in Legacy as the shadow and light consumed him on the throne. If you haven't heard the song, here is the speech, but modified to fit Keefe:

“Grady, four cans of flavored air is not a breakfast.” Alden laughed.

“It is for me, Alden!” Grady giggled and put his arm around Alden. “Carrying on the generational gift, I assume?”

”Telepathy?”

”Bingo!” Grady shot Alden finger guns. “It’s our second year at Foxfire, you're the first one out of the group to have manifested. Are you guys gonna throw a party?”

“Wait,” a red-headed girl said with deep blue eyes walked into the conversation and grabbed a seat next to the pair, ”Alden manifested?”

”You heard Grady, Edaline. I'm a Telepath, just like my father, and the father before his, and the fath—” 

“Least there's certainty in your family tree,” Grady began, a conflicting mix of bitterness and confidence ringing through his voice, “the past two generations of my family? Everyone has had a different ability.” Alden was used to this lecture, the Ruewen family tree was an interesting one, to say the least. While some families, like the Vackers, were completely predictable in their genetics; families like the Ruewens differed from generation to generation. 

Matchmaking doesn't even work, Alden thought, it's just a sys— but his thought was quickly interrupted by Grady reiterating his question.

“Are you throwing a party? I'd love to go! Think of all the boys and babes that would be at a Vacker party,” Grady smiled. 

Edaline rolled her eyes at that comment and proceeded to say “well, your family throws the best parties around,” to Grady. “Oh, what I’d give to go to a Ruewen party one day,” she spoke out loud, almost meaning to say it to herself.

“Let’s not get off topic here, there will be a party, and invitations will be sent out sometime this week.” 

The table cheered. Despite the Ruewens being best known for their parties, the Vackers were the most popular family in the entire Lost Cities. Being invited to a Vacker celebration was like being invited to Buckingham Palace. 

“Are you guys going to Bramble tryouts?” Grady asked. Alden knew of his obsession with Bramble, and knew that it was Grady's dream to be on the team. “I am, obviously. Haven't manifested yet but I'm sure I'll make the team!” 

“Grady…” Edaline started, “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but everyone on the team has abilities.” 

“I’m aggressive!” He looked up at Edaline, smiling. She was in the year ahead of them and Grady had not hit his growth spurt yet. 

”I might,” Alden stated. “I’m not an athlete; but I'm definitely a strategist.” He looked at Grady, who was the brawn to his brains. They've known each other for what's felt like ages, even though they only met a few years ago.

As Alden's mind drifted off, the lunch bell rang; interrupting his train of thought. Him and Grady walked off to continue their conversation about Bramble.

“You really think you can make the team?” Alden asked.

“Well Alden, we've had scrimmages in PE for it, and my team has won. And that's without even manifesting yet!” Grady was enthusiastic, almost overly so. 

“Is this about your dad?” Alden asked Grady, who looked down at the question.

“Maybe a bit,” Grady said, more sheepishly than usual, “he was one of the top Bramble players at Foxfire in his time here. I want to follow in his footsteps.” Grady paused, his tone quickly lighting up again. “If I can't make him proud through manifesting well, then the least I can do is impress him through my Bramble skills!”

They went off to their separate classes. Grady to PE, Alden to his first training.

we know nothing about the kotlc adaptation except for the fact that it’s (supposedly) happening and a few things about production.

these are the facts:

1. ben affleck is directing, and he has some awardwinning movies under his belt. i don’t know how he is on representation but we don’t know anything about casting as of yet

2. the script is being adapted by him in conjunction with kate gritmon (a relative unknown)

3. executive producer is madison ainsley. i don’t know anything about him

4. it’s a disney movie. disney is again iffy on the representation aspect but we know it’ll be family friendly at the very least

it’s true it could turn out bad. there’s a likelihood of that. but the movie is VERY early in production, and as fans, we do have some power. who knows, maybe some of the plot holes could end up being fixed?

let’s see how things play out before making judgements.
