An article took a deep dive into what's wrong with the DFB (German federation) and the German Women's National Team - DFB Frauen - around the WWC. There are more things in there but these seem most important:

MVT spent the entire world cup not talking to some players. (wtf??)

The DFB pressured Bayern to let Guilia Gwinn play the World Cup. It's noteworthy, that both her ACL tears came during camps with the National Team, not during club time.

Very poor treatment of Maroszan around her last game. Eg. she had to pay for the seats so that her family could come and see her play, she also only got subbed on in the 64th minute which is odd.

Players didn't know what their role/tactics regarding their position was during the World Cup (that's been part of the conversation before).

The article cites a lot of "someone close to the team" and what not, many anonymous sources. These things should still be taken into consideration.

We also learned from Lina Magull's mother on Instagram that the players of the English WNT got 10k each to ensure that their families/friends could be at the world cup, the German players got 0€.

The DFB is taking the same route with the women's team as they are with the men's team. MVT should be gone already, instead they're still trusting her with the team.

They did just announce that apparently Nadine Kessler will become the new GM of the DFB which is a good sign. Maybe she will fire MVT now. (Unlikely, they gave her a new contract just this year, it would be very expensive to fire her rn.)

When I visited my girlfriend out of state I was just.... Shocked by how NICE people are?? People smile at you on the street or if you make eye contact with them in public even if you don't know them? They don't shove you out of the way or glare?? Cashiers at stores are friendly and make conversation instead of silently ringing you up?? I saw no major acts of aggression on the freeway? The barista didn't look like they personally wanted me dead when I asked for something different in my coffee??? Living in southern california for nearly 18 years does something to a person
