DBHLU AU - Detroit Become Human Linked Universe AU

I decided to finally post these designs!

I will post side characters separately, but these are the bois!

About DBHLU AU:

This is an AU set in the world of Detroit Become Human where all Links are a certain model of an androids. The models are called L1NK models and they are created by Hylia and her company. They are the most realistic androids on the market, Hylia is unafraid to make them have as little differences as possible.

She invented L1NK models after her husband, Link (First) died.

All L1NK models go by Link even if their owners chose a different name for them

Each of Link has their own story too! But this post is getting long. Feel free to ask about them in my ask/request box!

The commons are not my favorite set to be very very honest, but Shrimpo has to be my favorite out of them :3 Thank you and Shout Out to everyone here thats reading this! Hylia created the L1NK models after her late husband, Link.

She created them and they ended up blowing up in popularity after she used Sky for charity work.

She rich fr and Sun is her and Link's daughter.

First has no idea he's an android somehow lmao poor mans.

Okay okay

Starting with Four bc I've done the most thinking about him.

So when he first splits into the colours, they obviously aren't full beings. The spark doesn't clone, it splits. So you've got 4 people who are only 25%.

But! Because they spend so long split the first time they each being to make up for that lack of wholeness, becoming their own people. So now they're all kinda 45% of a person.

Unfortunately, this means that when they merge back together, instead of being 100% it's closer to being 180%. So it's like squeezing into a pair of too-tight pants.

Which means that four cannot remain merged for extended periods of time. However, the colours are also still not full people, so they can't remain separate for long either. So Four isn't comfortable in either form. Left feeling either too full or empty constantly.

Can I ramble to you about four and twili (and others)and about how they’re kinda funky after being transformed into other things/creatures?

Question: how did you come up with L1NK?

It started with me wanting to make a bnha style au / general superpower superhero au bc I wanted to know what each Link would have as a power

But there's just so much that happens in those games that just one power doesn't work.

So I went digging into a really old worldbuilding project from years ago called "sparks" and just remoulded things to fit where I wanted.

I knew I wanted to use the word "link" as an acronym with the "i" as a 1. So now I had "L1NK" I just had to figure out what it meant.

This introduced the idea that they were at the start of whatever story is occurring, and that there had to be some detachment from the everyday person for them to only be reffered to by dipatch.

So, the facility.

And I love the sort of horror mystery of learning a story through found media like spooky videos or scp type files. But, I also really enjoy just silly episodic TV shows about heroes and villains and the power of friendship.

So that's sorta how I plan to finally present it. A mix of pov from the knights, going out and saving the world or goofing around and learning things, and different reports and recordings from the facility staff.

I dont know what fics to recommend bc i dont read a lot of them, and if i read, many are fics of specific topics, but i can list fics of authors whose works I loved (and at least i read more than two fics of them (?? lol)

How many of your links would commit a crime?

Absolutely all of them, but in different ways some including:

Veteran has several trespassing violations to his name. Ravio commits tax fraud. He doesn't even have to pay taxes. He just keeps doing it though. Red. Arson. He forgets that he's not allowed to just burn stuff to express his emotions. Shadow just likes to mess with people mostly, but sometimes that progresses into big messes he needs help to clean up. Time kills people when he thinks he can get away with it or gets annoyed. Sky has assaulted an (police) officer multiple times. Twili has at least 4 charges of breaking and entering. And has bitten 27 people and counting. Wind steals shit all the time. Sometimes for fun, sometimes to show off. Wild will eat things that he really shouldn't. Like museum exhibits or crime scene evidence.

And all of them keep breaking pots or cutting down gardens and plants in places. Although you could probably blame Picori for that.
