Can you do a Yandere male hashiras coming home and meeting their s/o distraught and crying cause they thought they were dead. Maybe they were gone for 4 or 7 months.
╭──────༺♡༻──────╮
Hope you enjoy this! Thank you for your request! As you can tell I’m running out of gifs for these characters lol. I didn’t do Muichiro as I didn’t know what to write for him. And no headcanons for Obanai I only had motivation to do a small story.
╰──────༺♡༻──────╯
જ⁀➴ Sanemi Shinazugawa
Sanemi storms into your home just before nightfall, his haori tattered, his arms and legs covered in bandages. His survival is a miracle, but he doesn’t consider how his prolonged absence has affected you. He barely has time to set down his sword before he hears your choked sobs. Following the sound, he freezes when he sees you sitting on the floor, your face buried in your hands.
When you lift your head, your red, swollen eyes meet his. “Sanemi… is it really you?” you whisper, your voice trembling with disbelief. He doesn’t answer at first. He’s too overwhelmed by the sight of you like this—frail, broken, crying because of him.
“You’re such a damn idiot,” he growls, though the anger in his voice is directed at himself. He strides forward and pulls you to your feet, his grip firm but not unkind. “What the hell made you think I’d leave you like that? You think I’d let myself die knowing you’re waiting here for me?”
Your tears don’t stop, and neither does his frantic need to reassure you. Sanemi holds you close, pressing his lips to your forehead. “You’re mine, and nothing in this world can take me away from you.” His voice shakes, his usual harshness softened by a vulnerability he rarely shows.
Headcanons:
• Sanemi becomes obsessive about keeping you informed when he’s on missions. If he’s going to be late returning, he’ll send messages through crow, no matter how inconvenient it is.
• He becomes hyper-vigilant about your safety, rarely letting you leave the house without him.
• His possessiveness worsens after this, and he gets irritated when others try to console you. Only he can comfort you properly.
જ⁀➴ Giyuu Tomioka
Giyuu enters silently, as is his nature, his footsteps almost imperceptible. When he sees you trembling on the floor, clutching one of his old haoris like a lifeline, his chest tightens painfully. “You’re back,” you gasp when you notice him, stumbling to your feet and throwing yourself into his arms.
Giyuu stiffens at first, not out of reluctance but because of how deeply your pain affects him. “I thought you were gone,” you sob against his chest. “I thought I’d never see you again.”
His arms wrap around you slowly, his hold growing firmer with each passing second. “I’m sorry,” he murmurs, his voice barely audible. “I didn’t mean to make you think that.” His guilt is overwhelming. He didn’t realize how much his absence would hurt you, but now that he sees the aftermath, he swears he’ll never put you through it again.
“I’ll never leave you,” he says, his tone as unyielding as steel. He cradles your face in his hands, his eyes filled with an intensity that borders on obsession. “You’re all I have, and I won’t let anything take me from you.”
Headcanons:
• Giyuu starts writing you letters during long missions, even if he doesn’t know how to express his feelings well.
• He insists on you staying close to home, where he knows you’re safe. If you have to leave, he’ll silently follow you from the shadows.
• He becomes clingier in subtle ways, often lingering around you without saying much but refusing to leave your side.
જ⁀➴ Kyojuro Rengoku
The sound of your crying reaches Kyojuro before he even steps inside. His heart, usually blazing with confidence, falters for a moment. When he enters the room and sees you kneeling by the hearth, your face buried in your hands, he rushes to your side without hesitation.
“My love, what’s wrong?” he asks, though the answer becomes clear when you lift your tear-streaked face. “I thought I lost you, Kyojuro. Seven months… no word… I thought you were dead!”
His eyes widen, and for a moment, he’s silent. Then, he pulls you into a fierce embrace, his strong arms enveloping you entirely. “I am so sorry,” he whispers, his usually booming voice trembling. “I didn’t realize how much my absence would hurt you.”
Kyojuro tilts your chin up to meet his gaze, his fiery eyes burning with a mix of guilt and determination. I am alive, and I will always come back to you. You are the flame that keeps me going.” His voice is full of conviction, a promise etched in every word.
Headcanons:
• Kyojuro starts planning shorter missions or taking you along to nearby towns when possible.
• He showers you with small tokens of affection, from flowers to handmade charms, to remind you of him when he’s away.
• His protective streak intensifies, and he begins training you in basic self-defense, even if you protest.
જ⁀➴ Gyomei Himejima
Gyomei hears your quiet sobs as soon as he steps onto the porch. His sensitive hearing and heightened senses pick up every tremble in your voice, and it stops him in his tracks. “(Y/N)?” he calls softly, his deep voice filled with concern.
You look up from where you’ve been kneeling, clutching a prayer bead bracelet he once gave you. When you see his towering figure in the doorway, your breath catches, and fresh tears spill down your cheeks. “You’re alive…”
Gyomei kneels before you, his large hands cupping your face with the utmost gentleness. “Why are you crying, my love?” he asks, though the answer dawns on him as he feels your trembling hands grasp his.
“I thought you were gone,” you whisper, your voice cracking. “I thought I’d lost you forever.”
His own eyes glisten with unshed tears as he pulls you into his arms, holding you as if you’re the most precious thing in the world. “I am here,” he says, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “I am alive, and I will always return to you. You are my reason to fight, to survive.”
Headcanons:
• Gyomei begins praying with you every morning and night, offering thanks for your safety and his ability to return to you.
• He becomes even more attentive, often carrying you to bed when you fall asleep in his arms, whispering reassurances.
• He starts wearing charms or tokens you give him, seeing them as symbols of your bond and a source of strength.
જ⁀➴ Tengen Uzui
Tengen bursts through the door, expecting you to greet him with relief and joy, but the sight of you sitting on the floor, tear-streaked and shaking, halts him. “What’s this?” he asks, dropping his flashy façade immediately as he kneels beside you.
“Tengen…” You look at him as though you’re seeing a ghost. “I thought you were dead. Seven months… I thought you weren’t coming back.”
His jaw tightens, and his normally flamboyant expression turns serious. “Do you really think something as unflashy as death could stop me from coming back to you?” he says, his voice lower than usual. He pulls you into his lap, his hands resting on your back as he lets you cry against his chest.
“You mean everything to me,” he says, his tone uncharacteristically soft. “I’ll never let you feel this way again. I’ll find a way to stay connected to you, no matter what it takes.”
Headcanons:
• Tengen insists on keeping you in the loop about his missions, even if it means bending Demon Slayer Corps protocols.
• He becomes more physically affectionate, constantly touching your hand, shoulder, or face as if to reassure himself you’re still there.
• His yandere tendencies manifest in controlling who you interact with, believing only he can truly protect and care for you.
This detailed portrayal highlights each Hashira’s unique reaction to their s/o’s emotional breakdown, showcasing their yandere tendencies in ways that fit their personalities. Each is overwhelmed by guilt but uses that guilt to fuel their determination to never let you feel that kind of despair again.
જ⁀➴ Obanai Iguro
Obanai stepped into the house just as the sun dipped below the horizon, the faint golden glow of dusk casting long shadows across the walls. His footsteps were light and deliberate, but the heaviness in his chest made every step feel like a mountain to climb. Months of hunting down demons, with barely enough time to sleep or recover, had left him drained. Yet, none of that prepared him for what awaited him inside.
The sound of muffled sobbing pierced his senses like a blade. His body went rigid, Kaburamaru tightening slightly around his shoulders as his mismatched eyes flicked toward the sound. He followed it, his pulse quickening with each step.
When he reached the main room, he stopped dead in his tracks. You were kneeling on the floor, clutching one of his discarded haoris to your chest. Your body shook with silent sobs, your face hidden behind trembling hands.
For a moment, Obanai couldn’t move. Seeing you so vulnerable, so broken, stirred something deep within him. Guilt? Pain? Anger? He didn’t know what it was, but the sight of your tears ignited a fierce need to claim you, to ensure no one else would ever make you feel this way—not even the world itself.
“(Y/N),” he finally said, his voice low but steady.
Your sobs stopped abruptly, and you froze, your hands lowering slightly to reveal your tear-streaked face. When your eyes met his, disbelief flooded your expression. “Obanai?” you whispered, your voice cracking. “You’re… you’re alive?”
He tilted his head slightly, Kaburamaru shifting in response to his unease. “Why wouldn’t I be?” His tone was calm, but the undercurrent of possessiveness was unmistakable.
The dam broke, and you stumbled to your feet, throwing yourself into his arms. “I thought… I thought you were dead! Seven months… no word… I thought I lost you!”
Obanai stiffened for a moment before his arms came up to wrap around you. His grip was firm, almost desperate, as if he feared you might vanish if he let go. “I’m here,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your temple. “I would never leave you like that. Never.”
Your hands clung to his uniform, your body trembling against his. “You don’t understand,” you sobbed. “I waited every day, praying you’d come back. When the weeks turned into months, I thought… I thought I’d never see you again.”
His jaw tightened, the words cutting deeper than any wound. The thought of you suffering, believing he was gone, stirred a dark possessiveness within him. He cupped your face, forcing you to look at him, his mismatched eyes blazing with an intensity that made your breath hitch.
“You’re mine,” he said, his voice low and unyielding. “Nothing—no demon, no mission, no god—can take me from you. Do you understand?”
Your tears didn’t stop, but you nodded, overwhelmed by the raw emotion in his gaze. He pressed his forehead to yours, his grip on you tightening. “I’ll never let you feel this way again. Never. I swear it.”
The promise wasn’t just for you—it was for him, a vow that no force in the world would ever separate you again.

Do you think it had to be rengoku who died? Or could it have been a different character or hashira and still give the same effect?
AA THIS IS SUCH A GOOD QUESTION!! Okay im likely gonna go back and edit this later once i think of Better Words, but prepare for a Long Ass Leon Analysis Post
I think that while a similar effect could have happened had it been another Hashira, the fact that it was Rengoku affected not just Tanjiro, but the rest of the Corps in a massive ripple effect. I’m assuming that by asking this you’ve read my “why Rengoku’s death impacts the outcome of the series” analysis post, but regardless, im gonna start rambling now lol
Let’s turn it into a cause-and-effect formula. If [Hashira] dies after the Mugen Train Incident, it affects Tanjiro with [x] and the rest of the Corps with [y]. When Rengoku died, it devastated Tanjiro because of both his personal connection to Rengoku (Flame Breathing vs Sun Breathing, as well as Rengoku’s infectious brotherly attitude) and his respect for the Hashira as a whole. X is Tanjiro’s devastation and his exposure to the Actual Strongest Demons. Y, on the other hand, is much more powerful, because of Rengoku specifically. He was like an older brother to Mitsuri. He was an icon of strength and persistence for Tengen. He was a beacon of encouragement for everyone he encountered, and Rengoku was uniquely inspiring in that way. Rengoku, specifically. The latest link in the Flame Hashira chain, the Rengoku family legacy, he was really more legend than man. He was an unfalteringly blazing beacon of constant courage and flaming strength, and his loss hit especially hard, because of how unstoppable he always strove to be. Even the surlier Hashira like Sanemi and Obanai respected him, because he’s just that bright. He’s open, and approachable, and kind. He may be a legend, but he’s a human, living legend. He was friends with everyone, and impacted everyone’s lives just by being in them. The unceremonious and sudden nature of his death is what causes X to hit so hard for Tanjiro, and what causes Y to extend far beyond him.
If, for example, Sanemi was the one who dies at Mugen Train, things would’ve turned out much differently. Sanemi never accepted Nezuko, and probably would’ve died scorning her. This would cause X to be much less impactful for Tanjiro. He would still be devastated, because he’s Tanjiro, and because he holds a deep respect for all the Hashira, but Sanemi’s refusal to acknowledge Nezuko would significantly dampen the impact of his death. X would still hit hard, because Tanjiro is exposed to an immensely powerful warrior being unceremoniously taken out by a demon like Akaza, but Sanemi’s generally unapproachable nature as well as the fact that he stabbed Nezuko would significantly dampen the impact on Tanjiro. Additionally, Tanjiro doesn’t know Genya yet, so he wouldn’t have any personal motivation for sympathy. In the case of Rengoku, when he mentions Senjuro, that hits hard for Tanjiro, because they’re both eldest brothers. As for the rest of the Corps, they’d be devastated for the same reasons as Tanjiro- a Hashira has fallen, and that’s a rare and devastating casualty of war. But Sanemi doesn’t have the same social impact that Rengoku does, so ultimately I think neither X or Y would hit as hard.
Honestly im trying to stop myself from plugging every Hashira into this equation just for the sake of analysis, so I might come back to this later when I’ve gotten a bit more sleep lmao
Now let’s take a Hashira that Tanjiro has a personal connection to, like Shinobu or Giyuu. If Shinobu had come with Tanjiro to personally investigate Mugen Train, he would almost certainly blame himself for her death, and X would be a different flavor of powerful, because of her conversation with him in about Kanae’s dream. The death of any Hashira would cause Y to have some ripple effect, purely because it’s a Hashira, but ultimately, the only Hashira I believe could even start to rival Kyojuro’s influence is Gyomei, purely because he’s been a Hashira for so long. But no other Slayer had the same warmth and personable character that Kyojuro had, and that’s why his death in particular hits so hard. If Giyuu had died, Tanjiro would likely have been just as upset as he was with Rengoku- he’s witnessed Giyuu’s strength on multiple occasions, and Giyuu has staked his life on Nezuko. That’s something that Tanjiro won’t easily forget, and if Giyuu had died, it would easily devastate him to push himself harder, giving X the same emotional weight as Kyojuro’s death. However, because it’s Giyuu, Y would be MUCH less impactful, because a lot of the Hashira actively dislike him. ( @princeblue actually has an excellent analysis post on why he pisses the other Hashira off, I would recommend reading it, they make some excellent points!!)
Anyway, to restate my thesis, Rengoku’s death was as impactful as it was not just because he was a Hashira, but because he was Rengoku. He’s an infallible beacon of hope and warmth, and his unceremonious death sent a ripple effect through the entire Corps. He touches the lives of everyone he meets, intentionally or not- it’s just who he is. Much like Tanjiro, his passion is infectious, and his spark and drive spread to everyone who loved him after his death. It would still devastate Tanjiro to no end to watch a Hashira die in front of him, but it was Rengoku’s personal connection to not just Tanjiro, but the entire Corps that ultimately made him as impactful of a character as he was.
That last paragraph was a little shaky, I have a nasty habit of only doing analysis writing when it’s 4:30am and I should be sleeping, please ask me to clarify anything if I fucked up! I promise it makes so much sense in my head lmao
Thank you so much for this ask I’m literally happy stimming sitting here poking away at analysis posts nothing makes me happier than media-dissecting my blorbos

We need to talk about the potential of renkaza in the entertainment district. Like imagine, just visualize with me here, Kyojuro survives the battle with Akaza and after a couple of months with minor injuries and a brand new eye patch he sees his close friend uzui trying to kidnap the butterfly girls and is able to reason with him, knowing he is distressed about his wives disappearance and offers himself instead along with the original trio. (Therefore we get to see tanjiro and rengoku being like brothers in this au)
Uzui is like unsure but accepts that this might actually work despite rengoku being too old to be accepted as a courtesan (because they usually go for young girls to train so they can be indebted) yet when they put on his kimono and makeup Uzui is like OH SHIT-Kyojuro is fucking gorgeous.
They dont even get halfway down the first street before Kyojuro is crowded by many people begging for him to join their house. Despite being confused Kyojuro accepts with his boisterous enthusiasm. Uzui doesn't let him bring his sword (despite his friends glare) and he is lead to the Tokito house.
Meanwhile Akaza enters the red light district on orders by Muzan to check on Daki and Gyutaro. However he is caught up in a crowd of men who are all beneath a balcony in the Tokito house, as they all whisper about this mysterious new woman known as "Renka." Akaza is not interested in this until he hears that she has strange exotic hair, a vibrant hue of yellow and red. Suddenly Akaza is now interested to see this woman that reminds him of the hashira that was constantly thinking about ever since that battle months ago.
well you can imagine his surprise when the flame hashira himself walks out in the disguise of Renka.
Akaza is even more infatuated then before, and decides right then and then he is going to pay to meet him. He plans to not reveal who he is just yet so he hides in his human disguise and to make it more realistic he buys a snowflake pin as a gift (it subconsciously reminds him of his wife)
Uzui told Kyojuro to decline anyone who is willing to pay for his time but Akaza offers the house so much money they force him to accept. Kyojuro is silently cursing out his friend as he and this mysterious man go up to the rooms, unsure what to do.
Except nothing happens. The man who never says his name is polite and respectful, if only a little pushy by asking him many questions. All they do is talk that night and the man gives him a snowflake pin. In fact Kyojuro thinks him quite handsome, even with the three tattoo lines he has on his forearms.
However when he leaves before dawn, tanjiro alerts Kyojuro that man was a demon by using his super sense of smell. They notify Uzui and Kyojuro receives his sword but they do not think that the demon will go to the same house twice.
They are so wrong.
Akaza comes back the next night and pays for his time AGAIN. By then Tanjiro has left the house to meet with Inosuke and Zenitsu so he is the only slayer in the house. As soon as they get up to the rooms, to Akaza's surprise, pulls out his sword (that he hid in his kimono like the badass he is) and confronts him. Akaza then reveals who he's been the entire time.
Kyojuro knows he cant fight inside the house, or else the innocents can get hurt yet Akaza does not make a move. So instead Kyojuro demands him to tell him where Uzui's wives are. Akaza then informs him that he was not the one that took him, and that he does not attack woman ever. This confuses Kyojuro to no end, and even more so when Akaza tells him about Daki and Gyutaro telling them all their secrets.
They do not end up fighting, because soon they hear a loud explosion (Daki fighting Tanjiro) and Kyojuro is immediately in battle mode. But he is still stuck in an Oiran outfit that restricts his movement because of the shoes. So Akaza like the himbo he is picks up Kyojuro bridal style and launches him over to the site of the explosion. It goes as well as you expect;
Kyojuro: How am I going to get there in time? These clothes are no good for running in my breathing style.
Akaza: Dont worry I got you *Picks him up*
Kyojuro: You could have just taken my shoes off!!??
Now Tanjiro is wondering why the hell uppermoon three is carrying Kyojuro to him more then the fact that Kyojuro cuts the head off of Daki in a breeze a moment later. Uzui joins them, just to see Akaza run off. Kyojuro tells him not to pursue him because Gyutaro is going to show up any minute now.
The battle goes quicker with two hashira, except Kyojuro being informed that his blood art is poision, jumps in the way of Tengen to stop a poisonous blow that was meant for him. The rest of the battle goes exactly the same while Kyojuro is taken out of the picture. When Gyutaro is beheaded he gives one last ditch effort by using his blood art that nearly decimates the entire district. Like Nezuko to Tanjiro, Akaza who was watching the battle the entire time, uses his body to protect Kyojuro from the blast.
Uzui despite having his arm and eye destroyed wonders why the hell an uppermoon that nearly killed his best friend months before is clinging on to him so tightly. He nearly begins another brawl with him, until he realizes that Kyojuro has been poisoned and both begin a truce to figure out how to save him. It goes something like this;
Uzui: Hes going to die! We need to bring kocho here, or a doctor-
Akaza: Is there anything you can do?
Uzui: Do I look like a fucking doctor to you? How about you do something.
Akaza: I can turn him into a demon.
Uzui: I'm going to cut you into little bits you bastard-
Then Nezuko, always being the one to fix things (and carry the entire show) pops up and begins to burn him. Akaza nearly strangles the girl until he realizes its actually burning the poison out of him.
As soon as thats done, Uzui plays a little game of tug of war with Kyojuro as the rope since Akaza refuses to let go of him. Kyojuro wakes up in the middle of this wondering why his torso is in Akazas hand and why Uzui is gripping his legs.
Uzui: Let go of him!
Akaza: No you let go of him!
Kyojuro: I have an idea! How about you both let go of me
Finally free from their grips they are all very tense unsure who is going to attack first. Then, Akaza takes something out of his pocket; the snowflake pin that was torn out of his hair during the battle. He gives it to him, saying to keep it, before running away, just as the sunrise hits.
Uzui gawks at him as Kyojuro puts it back in his hair, and Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu and Uzui's wives wonder why a demon is courting the flame pillar. Kyojuro still oblivious, questions why his heart feels so fuzzy. Is it the effect of the poison? Either way, he is glad he went on this mission.
Update: I wrote a Fanfic

Posting this late sowwy I worked </3
☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°☆
Kyojuro has always appreciated Tengen’s large hands. They’re huge all the way around, thick fingers sporting thick callouses. It’s a sign of a strong man. The way they wrap around his weapons during a fight is beautiful.
Right now Rengoku is getting to know the hands (and their owner) much more intimately. The glide over his muscles easily and soothe aches he didn’t even know existed.
When Tengen first approached him with the idea the younger man had been… hesitant. The whole process seemed unusual and unnecessary. Rengoku had occasional pain but that was typical for a demon slayer. It certainly had not given the young man any issues. It was only after some gentle coaxing that he agreed to try it out.
Now he isn’t sure if he can go back to normal life. Tengen’s hands are magical. They’re warm and sturdy and turn the blonde into a puddle. It only took five minutes of gentle movement until Kyojuro was limp and panting into the cushion propping up his face.
Uzui had been oddly quiet the entire time. Normally he would be quick to comment on his superior thinking or tease his friend. Instead he had barely spoken once Rengoku was sat in place. He seemed intently focused on the movement of his hands and the feeling of the younger man’s muscles. Starting at the neck he worked carefully downwards, barely halfway through. Kyojuro could feel the intense stare as Tengen worked over each of his fingers individually.
Afterwards the hands move away and onto his legs. “Am I going hard enough?” They grip into the muscles of his shapely calves.
Kyojuro hums in approval, trying hard not to drool as his relaxes into the pillow.
As hands work upwards unconsciously Rengoku raises his hips to meet the sweeping motions that glide up to his thighs. He doesn’t even realize his actions until Uzui carefully pushes him back onto the bed. A deep delicious laugh is the only admonishment he gets.
Maybe it’s because it’s Uzui, who’s strong and funny, or maybe it’s just a response to the warm skin on his but either way it’s not surprise when Kyojuro gets hard. Somewhere in the back of his mind the slayer is aware of how shameful the action is.
He expects Tengen’s hands to skip over his ass- his glutes, but they don’t. Rengoku doesn’t have any frame of reference for how a massage was supposed to go but this felt more like groping. It still relaxed his muscles however so the man kept his mouth closed.
Partially he was also terrified about what noise he might make if he attempted to speak. Now his body was relaxed, but his mind had regained its ability to think. He wonders if it’s appropriate to let Uzui continue, when Kyojuro knows this exact scenario will be replaying in his mind later tonight.
“Are you ok? You’ve gotten all tense again.”
It takes everything in the man not to shake and beg to be touched more. “Ha, F-fine!” Is he being too loud or too quiet?
“Oh come one why don’t you be honest?” Tengen has gone from an innocent question to smart seduction.
“Wh-What?”
A hand ghosts over his cock. It’s not even a proper touch but the brief warmth is enough to make Kyojuro whimper.
“Should I help you out?” The words are dripping with Uzui’s signature teasing tone. Rengoku can barely nod, he almost decides to run away (cowardly!), but somehow he manages the motion.
Tengen jerks his friend’s cock a few times just to satisfy him for a brief moment. Then suddenly the younger slayer is scooped up into strong arms and flipped over. With his face up the situation is much more humiliating. Kyojuro’s eyes are half-lidded but the blurry outline of Uzui is still too much.
Maybe the man really is a God of some sort because a hand envelope his dick and grip it tightly. It takes only a few quick pumps for nothing to matter anymore besides the pleasure given to him. The oil and warm hands are like silk over his cock. He really might be drooling now. Tengen is still talking. Words are beyond Kyojuro’s grasp but he recognizes the soft murmur bouncing off his ears.
Suddenly he’s being kissed. Uzui might’ve been saying something about that. The younger man has never been kissed before and he gives in helplessly to the rough movements. A thick tongue invades the cavity of his mouth and plunges down his throat. One of his hands reaches up to tug at the white hair. He wants whatever Tengen will give him.
“Pleh-Please.” Kyojuro doesn’t know why he hasn’t come yet. He needs just a little bit more but his entire body was already on fire.
One hand moves underneath Rengoku. It cradles his ass and grips the fat. A thick finger traces its way upwards to his asshole.
It doesn’t even enter, but the pressure and slight burn finally pushes the man over the edge. He moans into Uzui’s mouth and lets his hips continue to thrust into his hand.
“You’re so beautiful.” The second Kyojuro tries to relax Tengen pushes another kiss onto him. “Don’t think we’re done yet.”
