Lucifer week day 7: shipping/free day

So the first two are ideas suggested by my brother. It was supposed to be for the “heaven/hell” theme and they applied that to Guilty Gear with Sol badguy & ky kiske; with Lucifer drawn in their outfits respectively. (also, guilty gear characters are pretty detailed- but I enjoyed the little challenge and request from my bro for one of his favourite fighting games)

having ky thoughts. honest 2 god he does not get enough genuine love. it makes me so . when he is just a tool for shipping (<- is very uncomfortable with solky as a ship anyway but i won’t get into it) . he’s such a beautiful character,… his unwavering faith in people and the world despite having always been handed such a bad hand, and the amount of love he has in his heart and, ; ; ,, always trying to do the best with other people in mind,,

i think a huge defining thing of ky’s for me is in overture. how sin is so angry and is lashing out at him constantly, but ky takes every hit and never tries to scold him or deny him his anger,,, he’s probably angry too, that they had to end up like that :(…. don’t even get me started on the bad father jokes about him it makes me insane. ky did, and continues to do everything he could to protect sin. ., he’s certainly not the best father, but it’s undeniable that he loves both sin and dizzy with his whole heart and was acting for their safety,,

and i think a lot of ppl forget that ky does have a rebellious streak too? like yeayea stick in the mud catholic boy whatever it’s funny where it works but. ky is often at odds with the UN/etc??? he’s even got the nickname of the foolish king , and his ass literally got put on forced vacation in strive because he was gonna come forward with his family against their wishes . idk. i think he’s such an interesting character with a lot of depth that isn’t often acknowledged bc ppl like to whittle him down to tropes….,,, there’s a lot here im missing but :( ky kiske the WORLD.

Non-GG fans if you want to research and put in your own two cents, thats totally cool. I trust my moots to have good opinions on this.

What's the general consensus on shipping half/quarter Gears like Sin when it comes to age? Reddit discourse is not confirmation enough and I want to know what's morally okay before I dive any further, because he has my attention but I don't want to be gross.

He's different from two other characters in different franchises who aged fast that caught my attention; there's no canon stated age so I interpret them as young adults who are both physically and chronologically of age in one way or another. Sin has a canon age and an immature mentality, but in-universe biology that suggests he's an adult for his species. Like the reverse version of the fantasy rule that elves or vampires tend to mature at about 100.

I know Dizzy was young by human standards when she married Ky, but had the same physical and mental maturity as her appearance, so I want to know what the line is before I invest any further in the Kiskes.

Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske’s Jojos Ass Family Tree is so much funnier than them being in some uke seme yaoi oatmilk bs of a ship. Sol - Bisexual Nonbinary man. Gender is too much work so he stopped observing during the war. Uses he/him mostly because he's too lazy to put in the work for any type of social transition. Would respond to pretty much anything though. Is a guy in the way a dragon is a guy. [NOTE. my Sol gear lore is fucking insane and barely follows canon. He's going to be a fucked up immortal dragon possibly forever.]

Ky - I've come around. I've cracked the code. This man is a he/him lesbian. Loves women in a lesbian way. Loves men in a god honoring way. Definitely had a few too many gay thoughts about Jesus and priests. Originally transitioned to male before joining the holy order and was able to more deeply contemplate his relationship with gender post peace. Very comfortable presenting as a man and letting only those close to him know the truth about how he feels deeply. In lesbians with his beautiful WMD wife.

Dizzy - Intersex transfem. Now that she's in a more stable spot and not likely to get hunted for sport she's considering her relationship with humanity. Very openly let's her more extreme gear traits show around family and starting to open up to the public. Leading the charge on rights for sentient gears. Extremely aware of how her position effects policy and public opinion. Loves her silly husband. Necros is a "Man" and Undine is a woman. They're married.

Sin - Sol forgot to teach him what gender was. Does not care about pronouns or presentation, prefers to express his gear traits and run around to keeping himself locked up or conforming to societal expectations. Trends more male because that's what he was surrounded for most of his life. Gender is wildboything. Too busy thinking about food and fighting to think about sexuality.

Ramlethal - Artificial "woman". (Yes the quotes are important.) Does not consider h3rself fully human or fully something else. Uses pronouns to reflect this dichotomy (sh3/h3r). Has spent a lot of time thinking about gender and h3r perception of it. Will continue pondering and updating how sh3 feels every once in a while. Asexual ???romantic.

Elphelt - Genderfluid and expresses gender very strongly. He is Ilyrias worst bisexual because nobody wants him. Likes a lot of different aesthetics and subcultures. She's much less open about her inhuman parts than the rest of the family but she's getting there! :)

Jack-O - Transfem with a little something extra ;) Is her own separate person and has come to terms with the separation between her and Aria. Shes her own person and the woman she was based on isn't ever coming back and that's okay. Has a very strong platonic friendship with Sol. [NOTE. I personally prefer a friendship because of my own thoughts on how Jackie and Aria were handled. Shipping is cool and I indulge but it's not my main thing at all!]

How do you think Slayer will feel now that his favorite battle buddy (Sol) aside from Gabriel has fallen behind in terms of raw strength? I personally feel that he'd be slightly disappointed but happy that Sol has finally come to terms with his place in the world and found happiness for himself as a retired veteran living with a cute girlfriend. But what do you think?

Slayer was friends with Frederick for many years, even prior to him gaining his reputation as the "Killer of the God of Destruction" (Justice) back in 2180 or even his "God of War" moniker which he got from fighting with the Sacred Order.

I do not believe for a moment that that friendship has waned, though Slayer is the type to be "patient" with these sorts of situations, since Humans are not ones to be underestimated.

If Sol can build a rocket ship to Outer Space, I don't think he's necessarily unable to fight on his own terms, and he was Sin's foster father and teacher for many years, so even if his full potential is not nearly as dangerous as it once was, he's still a Gear for all intents and purposes.

Sol is also one of the few Gears who survived the Backyard, so that alone makes him even more unique than any mass production Gear, his Magic knowledge has vastly increased since the early years as well.

I think there will come a day when Sol will keep his promise to Slayer and throw everything he can at the "old man" and prove his pride as a warrior and Bounty Hunter.

Even Nagoriyuki has acknowledged Sol as well, so that will also probably play a factor in Sol's true strength and potential.

And let's not forget one of the strongest Gear-hybrids in the world was formerly Sol's rival: Ky Kiske. I don't think Sol would ever stop being Ky's rival for any reason... he'd never live it down!

But, even if you have doubts about it, consider everything from Asuka R. Kreutz' perspective: he's been Sol's Rival for 170+ years... and he STILL managed to settle that rivalry despite the gap in power they initially had!

If Asuka can ignore his own age and pick a fight with his old lab mate, I don't think Sol will necessarily prove inferior to Slayer as a rival!
