there's a lot you could actually get into more seriously too? with the fact that kuyou is on the nagato side of struggling to communicate (to the point where she makes yuki look like a master of it) while asakura is very much capable of acting like a normal person (and, based on my own interpretation, also has a lot of the same Development Of Her Own Will/Desires as yuki)

Sasaki, are you still in touch with Kyouko and Kuyou? Now that Fujiwara's gone (presumed dead), have the two of them settled down somewhat?

Ah...the last I heard from Fujiwara -- though that of course wasn't his real name -- he was very much alive. Of course, that was before that cataclysmic chain of events occurred, and in that respect, yes, he has gone. However, I think it unwise to presume anyone dead when you aren't aware of all the facts. Someone once told me that a person isn't dead unless you've truly seen the body. ::mischievous smile::

I haven’t seen Kuyou since the incident at North High, no. A part of me wonders if that is wholly a good thing or not. After all, though communicating with her was nearly impossible, I would think there could be a lot to be learned from observing someone like her. Her thought processes are potentially on an entirely different level than human-like ones — her speech certainly was. However, I don’t miss her; I can’t say that I was ever friends with her.

Kyouko, however, still does contact me every once in awhile. When we both have a moment of free time, she and I often go to the café by the station to catch up and discuss things. What occurred at North High doesn't often come up -- I'm fairly certain she avoids the topic purposefully. It's rather nice to have her as simply a friend; though on occasion, the way she looks at me is...hm. Slightly too reverent for my liking. I'm sure you understand what I mean. Humans were never meant to be put on god-like pedestals, after all. Though, speaking realistically, humans themselves invented the concept of gods and godhood -- thus, by virtue of that very fact, are we not all gods?

In any case, I'm not cut out for that role. I much prefer my life the way it is currently; settled, as you say. The most overwhelming worries I have now are doing well on examinations and making sure I remember to bring lunch to school. ::serene smile:: I'd say that's enough, wouldn't you?
