Someone finally knows what’s up.
I don’t have to Google to know Kurt is not going to see the end of this book and I will not be OK when that happens.

Times my modem crashed so I was without wifi for two weeks and had to go to my neighbors' house so I could ensure the tournament could continue undisturbed: 1 (thankfully)

Starting out, we had a tournament of 209 women against 931 men, with percentages shown below.
After voting, the pie chart looks like this:

Made by the amazing @ronald-speirs (my sister wrote this part, but I've seen your stuff and I agree so I'm leaving it). And thanks @1waveshortofashipwreck for the tag
Favorite place in the world you’ve visited?
Mt. Etna. When I was little (like, 3rd grade) we lived in Sicily, and one winter my brother and I wanted desperately to play in the snow, but it hadn't snowed where we lived in a long time. So we took a drive up Etna until we saw snow, where we stopped and spent the day playing around in it. (It was later that there was a horrible eruption that caused a bad earthquake where we lived, but I sleep like Nixon so I was dead to the world throughout the event.)
Something you’re proud of yourself for?
Making it through fire academy. Other than playing basketball one year in childhood I had never been very athletic, but I was out there doing bleacher runs, blackout drills, and climbing ladders to drag giant hoses to the top of buildings with the rest of them. I'm driven by the desire to not make an ass out of myself in front of others, and somehow I was able to do all those things, and ultimately participate in a live burn at the end of the program.
Favorite books?
Making my way through the books written by and about the troopers, so I gotta go with Band of Brothers. But my other favorites are anything by Kurt Vonnegut, the Dark Tower series, the Black Company series, Les Miserables, Moby Dick, Practical Demonkeeping (and almost anything by Christopher Moore), Hitchhiker's Guide...I'm sure I'm leaving some out, I love to read (Dick Tracy and Flash Gordon mostly...I couldn't resist).
Something that makes your heart happy when thinking about it?
.........band of brothers. Specifically my background characters. Specifically Smokey and McClung.
Favorite thing about your culture? About being American?
When did you join the HBO War fandom? What was the first show you watched?
It was a long road.......it came out when my family was stationed in Japan, so I didn't really know about it until I moved back. Streaming wasn't a thing then, so I would catch parts here and there, and I eventually figured I had seen the whole thing. Spent a long time thinking that people overreacted to it and that it was overrated. But I'm also leaving out one thing: that I am stupid. Figured my sister would appreciate having seen it, and suggested we watch it. I realized at the end of the first episode just how stupid I am.
Have you read any of Easy Company’s books? If so, which ones were your favorite?
I have a growing collection, but work often gets in the way. I've only read Ambrose's Band of Brothers. I've also read the Smokey portion of A Company of Heroes by Marcus Brotherton.
Favorite HBO War character and your favorite moment with them?
Have I mentioned how much I love Smokey yet.... One of his best moments (I think) is when he meets with Roe in Bastogne in his foxhole and gives him the morphine, tells him where to find scissors, and about Toye's boots.
Also McClung. And I love "ask him to dance, doc." The battle on the outskirts of Carentan has to be one of my favorite parts of the series though.
Do you make content for any fandoms, if so; what sort of content?
Just some gifs so far. I do like to write, but I've never dabbled in fanfiction.
Favorite actor/actress and your favorite film of theirs?
Russell Crowe and Michael Fassbender are the ones where I'll pretty much watch anything as long as one of them is in it, even if it's bad (like Jonah Hex...horrible movie, but worth it to see Fassbender's little villain character doing his little tee-hee leprechaun laugh through all his scenes). I'll also watch almost anything with Emily Blunt, she is fantastic and a hilarious human being.
Favorite quote/s that you wish to share with others?
So many by Kurt Vonnegut, but I'll just put two:
"If you can do a half-assed job of anything, you're a one-eyed man in a kingdom of the blind."
"We are healthy only to the extent that our ideas are humane."
Random fact your mutuals/followers don’t know about you?
I had a bearded dragon named Ichabod years ago. And I still love that name for a lizard.
If you’re a writer, do you need a beta reader (say yes so I can be your beta reader 🤭)?
If I ever start writing again, then yes. 😊
Three things that make you smile?
Anything band of brothers (obviously)
my remote-controlled tank (which I did not expect to love so much)
Facial muscles
Any nicknames you like?
You can call me anything and I won't care. If it's an insult I'll probably just wind up more confused than offended.
List some people you love to see around on tumblr!
I can't even think of all the people I see around here, but of course my sister @1waveshortofashipwreck, also @executethyself35, @love--persevering. And the ones I see around like @panzershrike-pretz, @dustyjumpwjngs, @blood-mocha-latte, @ewipandora, @cody-helix02, @blueberry-ovaries, @grumpy-liebgott, @hanniewinnix, @kafka-ohdear, @malarkgirlypop, @whollyjoly (i'm sure i'm leaving some out, sorry....)
What would you do during a zombie apocalypse?
Finally have a job I like probably. Not like I have a crowbar, axe, jacket with a thousand pockets, and combat boots hoping for something to happen...
Favorite movie?
So, so many. The 12th Man, Four Lions, The Nice Guys, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Professional, Headhunters, the Full Monty, anything in the Mad Max franchise, Death of Stalin, Tremors, District 9, the Right Stuff, Children of Men, Suddenly Last Summer, Banshees of Inisherin, Dunkirk, 1917, Fury, 28 Days Later, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Drop Dead Fred, Sicario, Lars and the Real Girl, Casablanca, Three Kings, the Great Escape, the Fifth Element, Hud, Stand By Me, Tucker & Dale vs Evil, Evolution...I could go on
Do you like horror movies?
Yup. 28 Days Later is up there in my favorites. The Descent is an EXCELLENT horror movie for anyone that hasn't seen it (and has made it this far down my rambling answers). Ravenous isn't very well known, and it's not perfect, but it's fun and weird. Stir of Echoes is an unconventional horror movie, but an excellent one-off story. Slither is a fun one with a decent cast (Elizabeth Banks, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, among others).
No pressure tags!!
I'm just gonna copy and paste the people I put up in my answers. Sorry if you already did this, but enjoy another tag: @executethyself35, @love--persevering, @panzershrike-pretz, @dustyjumpwjngs, @blood-mocha-latte, @ewipandora, @cody-helix02, @blueberry-ovaries, @grumpy-liebgott, @hanniewinnix, @kafka-ohdear, @malarkgirlypop, @whollyjoly

Carter-A259 - Character Overview
Carter was born on Biko in August of 2520. He was orphaned after the Covenant's assault on Biko, leaving him orphaned. In early 2532, he was conscripted into the Spartan-III program, and became a trainee of Alpha Company.
"You're on your own, Noble. Carter out."
Devastating that Halo killed off the finest man ever in the same game he was introduced in... But in all seriousness, I loved his character development in Halo Reach. The way you can see him losing his edge, growing tired throughout the losses of his teammates and watching Reach fall illuminates the not only physical battles, but the emotional ones involved with the fall of Reach. The scene of Carter holding Kat's body after the glassing always makes me tear up. :-(
During his training, both Lieutenant Commander Kurt Ambrose and Senior Chief Petty Officer noted his exceptional skills, which was part of why he was opted out of Operation: PROMETHEUS. Carter was selected to lead a fireteam of Spartans who were similarly pulled from PROMETHEUS for their skills.
Carter obtained the role of Commander within the UNSC Navy, making him one of the few Spartans so highly ranked that fights out in the field. ((Consider that most high ranking Spartans are drop-outs like Serin Osman or Musa Ghanem.)) Carter's special operations team gained the title Noble Team. Noble Team soon attained Catherine-B320, and both Carter and Catherine (Kat) became the only surviving members of the original team by the year 2552.
Carter and the rest of Noble Team were present during the Defense of Concord, destroying a Draugr. During their time on Concord, Noble Team was redeployed to Fumirole to combat present Covenant forces. Carter led Noble Team into battle on Fumirole, aiming to take out the battlecruiser above the capital city. The plan was constructed by Kat, and Carter executed it. This plan came with the loss of Thom-A293, which Carter blamed himself for.
During Noble Team's deployment to Reach, they confronted present Covenant forces, launching counter-offenses and assaults on Covenant forces. After the UNSC Grafton was destroyed by the Long Night of Solace, Carter and Kat reviewed their plans, and eventually came to Operation: UPPER CUT, which separated Jorge-052 and Spartan-B312 from the rest of Noble Team.
On August 23, 2552, the remaining members of Noble Team focused on protecting and evacuating civilians from the Covenant invasion and glassing of the planet. When Kat was killed en-route to the radiation bunker, he was clearly shaken.
Carter and the remaining members of Noble Team met Doctor Catherine Halsey at SWORD Base, tasked with getting Halsey's AI to the UNSC Pillar of Autumn. Jun-A266 was sent to accompany Halsey, while Carter, Emile-A239, and Spartan-B312 got the AI to the Pillar of Autumn.
Carter became gravely injured during the Pelican ride during the transport of the AI to the Pillar of Autumn. He chose to divert Covenant forces while Emile and Spartan-B312 finished the journey groundside. When Emile and Spartan-B312 were blocked by an approaching Covenant Scarab, Carter rammed his Pelican into the Scarab, taking his own life but essentially allowing the other two Spartans to pass.

I ended up watching this week’s episode early because both kids woke up with colds at 4:30am, and I have it too, and Mr is working nights and sleeping all day, so why should I not remind myself that things could be worse and the Covenant could be coming to glass the planet.
Anyway I wrote this thing. No spoilers for this week it just came to me based on a post I made yesterday.
—
“Didn’t you know? Spartans never die.”
Spartans never die.
Spartans…
…die…
…never die…
Spartans never die.
Kurt opened his eyes.
Well, I’ll be. It’s true.
“There you are.”
Kurt blinked at the towering blond figure stalking into his room. “Kai—“”
He didn’t have time to finish before the other Spartan slapped him across the face.
“Hey! Ow!” Kurt yelped.
“You idiot!” Kai shouted.
Kurt brought a hand to his stinging cheek. “You sure know how to make a guy feel welcome.”
“You should have worn the damn Mjolnir!” Kai continued.
Kurt sighed. “Good to see you alive, Kurt,” he mumbled. “Welcome back, Kurt.”
“What were you thinking, going in there with that dogshit SPI armor?”
“It’s not dogshit,” Kurt responded automatically.
“‘I’m one of you now’?” Kai quoted. She crossed her arms. “Really, Kurt?”
“Can’t ask them to do anything I’m not willing to do myself,” Kurt said tiredly. Was Kai going to be done anytime soon? He just wanted to go back to sleep.
“Did you ever think that maybe you’re no good to anyone dead? That your Spartans need you alive?” Kai railed.
Kurt raised an eyebrow. “Are they the only ones?”
Ah, that got her out of her rant. “I…I got by just fine without you for the past twenty years!” Kai sputtered.
Kurt snorted and tried not to wince as the movement tugged at his ribs. “Yes, that’s obvious.”
Kai’s compad beeped and she looked at the screen. “I gotta go. Mendez wants something.” She put the pad back in her pocket and pointed at Kurt. “When he’s done, I’m going to come back here and kill you myself.” She marched out of the room.
“Good luck with that!” Kurt called after her. “Spartans never die, remember?”
“Go fly a kite, Ambrose!”

Julius Ambrose Flood
"Every time I sit down, I get so drowsy. Must be something in the water. It's hard work, but it's the Lord's work, and I love it."
Three words: lonely, desperate, injured.
Date of Birth: January 1, 1935
Actual Date of Birth: January 1, 1900
Age as of Chapter I: 35 (or 70)
Height: 6'3"
Occupation: Priest.
Gender: everything and nothing, but don't worry about it.
Orientation: gay asexual.
Background: Irish Catholic, originally from Marquette, Michigan. Father was a funeral director. Middle child, has 6 sisters and 1 brother. Grew up in relative comfort. Has lived in a monastery in rural France and several shitty apartments in Boston and Manhattan.
Favorite Treat: strawberry jell-o.
Favorite Book: God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater by Kurt Vonnegut.
Favorite Film: Midnight Cowboy.
What Brings Him to Decaelo: Job transfer.
Veteran?: Yes.
Which war?: Depends on who's asking. Korea if he's lying, the Great War if he's being truthful.
What is his burden?: a lot of things. His war wound and his curse, mostly.
What curse?: He can be killed, but he can't die. He will heal. The problem is people tend to want to kill him, and he is very killable. It starts like an itch, then a whisper, then a shout. The longer you let it fester, and the more you're around him, the worse it gets.
Is there a way to break it?: Yes and no. If you give in and kill him, or you make a gesture of kindness, the itch goes away. He ages, but very slowly. The more beloved he is, the more naturally he ages, but his aging will never be as fast as yours or mine. The deck is stacked against him. People get the itch when they encounter him. He could pass the curse to someone else, but he chooses not to.
But sometimes...: he wants to.
That sounds awful: because it is.
What did he do to deserve that?: he reached out to someone who couldn't bear it anymore. Whether he deserved it or not is out of the question.
His friends?: Maynard. His oldest friend. They lived together for a long time like husband and wife (Julius was the wife).
Will he have any more?: he hopes so.
Enemies?: not yet, but there will be.
Anything else?: he speaks English, French, Latin, and enough German to ask where the trains are. He has tritanopic color blindness, but he paints anyway. He is an avid and obsessive diarist. He's an old man who never got to be young. He likes pop music. Gustav Klimt's Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer makes him cry. He smokes menthol Chesterfield 100s. He probably has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. He is a functioning alcoholic and smokes a pack of menthols every day.
What does he look like?: he is tall and thin and pale with a delicate and somewhat feminine face, black hair, and black eyes. He walks with a pronounced limp.
In my head, he's a Hamish Linklater type. I wanted to do terrible things to a Linklater priest after watching Midnight Mass, but Julius quickly became his own character. That being said, he's still quite Hamish-y in the face.
One more thing. Who is Julie?: I don't know what you're talking about. Don't worry about it.

Why I started watching WWE again
The earliest memory I have of professional wrestling is The Undertaker/Yokozuna feud. This fond memory was the catalyst to moulding my enjoyment to this form of entertainment.
Years later I began watching WWE/WWF on a full-time basis because it was aired weekend mornings. The Stone Cole Steve Austin/Vince McMahon feud hooked me. As a child, it was an awesome to see an authority type figure getting their ass kicked. Both McMahon and Austin produced classics moments in wrestling history. I bought PPV’s on VHS such as St Valentine’s Day Massacre. I must of watched that tape a couple of times a day over the next few weeks.
WWE became a part of my life. I made it my business to watch Raw and Smackdown every week; I even watched Velocity and Sunday Night Heat. I couldn't get enough! I tried to get my hands on stuff from independents and in 2004 I did some pro wrestling training. But if WWE was such an important part of my life then why did I stop watching it?
2017 wasn’t the worst year in WWE. The Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens feud was fantastic, The Hardyz returned, Kurt Angle was inducted into the Hall of Fame, The Shield reunited, and Samoa Joe made his debut. Despite all of this, a babyface Roman Reigns just couldn’t get over and Jinder Mahal was WWE Champion. I’m not even going to go into the House of Horrors match, but it was something. But it’s OK to have bad moments. They can teach you to never repeat those mistakes again…or can they?
2018 was worse. Some moments left a bad taste in my mouth such as Dean Ambrose turning heel on his fellow Shield member, Seth Rollins. This was the same night that Roman announced that he had leukemia. What the fuck was Vince thinking? The storyline was uglier than a dog’s dinner. Dean would leave the company less than a year later. WWE also went into a controversial deal with Saudi Arabia. The Saudi PPV saw Shane McMahon win WWE World Cup tournament becoming the ‘’Best in the World’’. This is the same PPV where Shawn Michaels came out of retirement for an awful tag team bout. The worst part to 2018 was on December 17, when Vince McMahon came to the ring followed by Stephanie McMahon, HHH and Shane. Stephanie would go on to say ‘’We haven’t been doing a good for you lately.’’ She would rattle on about not listening to us, the fans. We were told that we were now the authority. This was such a surreal moment.
Months prior we got the first All In PPV that would eventually lead to the formation of All Elite Wrestling. The All In card was stacked and displayed some incredible matches that left me wanting more. I started to binge watch BTE on YouTube as well as a history The Bullet Club. I began to attend Irish wrestling shows from Over The Top Wrestling. The first shows I went to featured Will Ospreay, Gunther and Pac. Seeing new talent and the interesting ways they told stories was refreshing. Witnessing smaller promotions putting on better shows compared to a billion-dollar company creating mediocre content was shocking to me.
Appointing us - the fans - as the authority figure was a great rib by WWE as they continued to sling crap in our faces as 2019 saw The Undertaker battling Goldberg in another Saudi show that resulted embarrassing bout. You can visibly see the disappointed on Taker's face post-match. Kurt Angle would have his retirement match against Baron Corbin. Angle is on my mount Rushmore, so for his career to lead to anti-climax was a disgrace. Seth Rollins was on a babyface run and I was enjoying it, until the infamous Hell in the Cell match with The Fiend. This match should have been a decent bout, but the arena was casted in ugly red light and the finish came in form a DQ. During a live reaction broadcast WWE were putting out at the time, X-Pac said ‘’You may not ask me back for one of these but how do you get DQ’d in a Hell in a fricking Cell match.’’ I often ask myself this. Things would get worse when Kofi Kingston was squashed in seven seconds against Brock Lesner. Kofi’s six-month title reign came to an abrupt and miserable end and so did my love for WWE. At this point I felt cheated and insulted. How can I continue to watch a product that simply didn't care?
At the tail end of 2019, AEW was launched. The new promotion featured new faces, different styles of wrestling and an opportunity for talent to thrive. I gravitated towards this. I periodically watched WWE clips, but it was clear Vince was out of touch. Talent were also fired during the pandemic. It was as if Vince didn't care anymore. Remembers Erik Rowen’s spider? On top of all this, Vince's scandal was aired across the internet. During this insane time, Vinny had the balls to appear on Smackdown just to wave his ego around.
So, what's changed?
I watched night 1 of WrestleMania and I was impressed. The highlight was Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair. I liked what I saw with the Bloodline storyline. It was great to see Cody Rhodes, and a heel Dominik Mysterio intrigued me. I kept up with things and noticed consistent story telling. With Vince gone, it felt like everything was moving in a cohesive way. Yes, Vince gave us years of entertainment, but he also held on for too long and it was clear it was causing damage.
I decided to tune back into WWE full time and write about my viewing experience. If you’ve read my past posts, then you know that I still have issues with WWE, but I’ve never seen a promotion do anything perfect. I think WWE do a much better job with their women’s division and keeping storylines simple and clear, but they lack on match quality with many silly finishes. They play things safe, but that's okay. For now I'm enjoying the ride. And that's good enough.

Sangheili Bracket Round 1 Match 26
More info below:
Voro Nar 'Mantakree:
Debuted in Halo: Ghosts of Onyx
Born June 9th, 2487, he would rise to the rank of Major and be assigned to the Incorruptible. During the Flood outbreak on High Charity, the Incorruptible's shipmaster - Tano 'Inanraree - would delusionally believe that the Flood were masterpieces of gods and attempted to get everyone on the ship infected. Before he could, however, Voro would kill him with a Needler - something which should have had him killed as heresy, but instead the entire crew agreed it had to be done and held him up as the new shipmaster. Meanwhile, Incorruptible would be attacked by the Jiralhanae-commanded Tenebrous and Twilight Compunction, causing Voro to use Lawgiver as a shield in the ensuing space battle. Tenebrous would be destroyed whilst Twilight Compunction made a temporary retreat, allowing Voro to continue attempted to eliminate any Flood-controlled ships whilst briefly creating a short truce between the Sangheili and Jiralhanae to deal with the parasite. Once the Jiralhanae attacked again, Voro ordered Incorruptible to make a slipspace jump to escape the "madness". They would arrive at the world Joyous Exultation, intercepting a wayward transmission regarding Spartans taking control of Jiralhanae ship Bloodied Spirit. Then, Voro would take part in a meeting organized by Imperial Admiral Xytan 'Jar Wattinree, expressing the opinion that the Flood were the most dire threat and the parasite could not be allowed to escape Halo. His dissent should have had him killed, but Xytan instead acknowledged the Flood threat. Next in the meeting, an intercepted transmission would be played, revealing that Spartans had been responsible for the destruction of the first discovered Halo Ring. Gaining the addition of "Nar" to his name, Voro was appointed Fleet Master of the Second Fleet of Homogenous Clarity and instructed to go to Onyx to protect the relics there and kill the Spartans present. His fleet left just in time to escape a sudden detonation of a NOVA bomb, destroying a majority of the ships above Joyous Exultation and killing Xytan in the process. Arriving at Onyx, they would make contact with the Forerunner Sentinels there, who then denied them access to the shield world and destroyed one of the fleet's ships - Far Sight Lost. Battle between the fleet and the Sentinels would commence, while Absolution was ordered to make a slipspace jump to Onyx's northern pole only to be destroyed by a suddenly appearing wave of Sentinels. Voro would try and figure out how the Sentinels could travel so suddenly and so fast, while the rest of the Sentinels would finally be destroyed. Yet once in atmosphere, they strangely came across more Sentinels that no longer harbored hostilities towards them. Upon the sighting of familiar Forerunner scriptures, Voro ordered a pulse of the Greeting of the Ancients on the off-chance that any living Forerunners were around - and instead picked up the signal from Bloodied Spirit, tracking it in order to lead an assault against the Spartans that made it onto Onyx. In the meantime, he discovered the core room antechamber. Then, the assault would begin, with Voro given the unorthodox order for troops to carry Kig-Yar point defense gauntlets. He would directly led the second wave into battle, reaching the center of the core room antechamber. There, he came across the mortally wounded Kurt Ambrose - Spartan-051. As he prepared to give the Spartan an honorable death, everyone would be killed by FENRIS nuclear warheads that Kurt had triggered remotely - allowing the other Spartans to escape with their lives. Whilst Voro died Nov. 3rd, 2552, he is survived by two brothers - Y'zaht and Delo - who currently serve as trusted lieutenants to Sali 'Nyon in his Covenant faction.
Gek 'Lhar:
Debuted in Halo 4: Spartan Ops
Born Oct. 19th, 2499 on an island, he led a group of salvagers following the end of the Covenant. At the same time, he also worked for Jul 'Mdama, being tasked with securing weapons and ships for his Covenant faction. Because of his absence from home, his keep became scattered across the Sanghelios continent of Kaepra.
In January 2557, he and his crew would ambush the salvage crew led by Ram Chalva, taking Ram prisoner. Following this, they would then arrive at Laconia due to stories of Radiant Perception - a ship still full of many Mgalekgolo left behind from the Human-Covenant war. Shortly after their arrival, Ace of Spades appeared for their own goal of finding a log buoy on the same ship. Once he became aware of the human presence, he used Ram Chalva to bait them into becoming exposed to being fired upon. When the humans rescued Ram and escaped the system, Gek ordered a pursuit, following them to Arcadia and then Etran Harborage. However, he arrive to Etran Harborage before them, allowing him to set an ambush. When Rion Forge and Cade McDonough arrived to explore the ancient structure Gek chose, he attacked them, with Rion forced to have to face him alone. During this fight, a voice from a nearby console - Little Bit - would speak up to address specifically Rion, both to Gek's awe and anger. A bit later into the skirmish, he would drive his sword into Cade's chest, causing Rion to retaliate by shooting a bullet that sliced his left eye and caused permanent blindness there. As he prepared to kill her, Rion flashed a grenade and threatened to kill them both, causing Gek to back off for now, taking a luminary and Cade's dog tags as he left.
Towards the end of that same year in December, Gek would launch a terrorist attack on Earth. Unbeknownst to him, Rion learned of this and warned Fireteam Apollo ahead of time, in the hopes his capture would end the bounty he placed on the Ace of Spades crew. He would be detained and interrogated at ONI's infamous detention center - the Midnight Facility - only to successfully escape in Feb. 2558.
Shortly after his escape, he would arrive at Requiem to take part in the campaign there. He was tasked by Jul with watching over the captured Dr. Glassman and his work in helping activating their Forerunner "shrine". Once Glassman caused a reaction within the shrine, a distraction would be caused that allowed the human to escape, with Gek being held back by Jul in attempting to pursue him. This was so Jul could chastise him for the situation occurring in the first place. Gek would then go on to give chase; thinking Glassman still had on his explosive harness, he activated the remote detonator, but would later find that it only killed some Sangheili whilst Glassman escaped unharmed. He would go on to track Glassman and his rescuer - Spartan Gabriel Thorne - to the "Quarry", attacking them whilst invisible. A fight would break out with rocks being used as weapons, with Glassman's arm being crushed and Thorne becoming stunned. However, the two men were spared death by the arrival of Fireteam Majestic, with Spartan Paul DeMarco shooting Gek in the back. His corpse would then be looted by the Spartans, allowing a holographic map of Requiem to fall into human hands.
