GAME INFORMATION

I'm using a modded version of ClanGen called LifeGen. This is where you play as a kit, either being born into the clan or adopted in. You can switch the cat you play at any point, and with that, I have the ability to make one cat murder another.

With it, I'm using a challenge called "Curse of the Dark Forest." I will have a page up that shares that information as it appears.

SETTINGS I have basically everything selected, the only things that is not selected are: - Auto Save every 5 moons - Enable Auto Freshkill - Allow same-sex breeding - Disable experience-based app graduation

Hii, here's my always go to question but do you have a tmnt au/interation

Hi!! I do in fact have multiple Tmnt iterations of my own because I can’t stop myself from making them. I plan on eventually posting on here about them but I’m not quite ready for that yet :]

My main iterations main inspiration was all of the turtles were based off of me and people I know. It’s mostly me messing around with characters and stuff. Plus Splinter owns a bakery and they live above it instead of the sewers :D

And these are my silly turtles

Raph is a common snapping turtle (She/they/he) and Mikey is an Eastern box turtle (He/they) and they’re twins and also the oldest!

Donnie is a Florida softshell (They/he) because I thought it would be funny if they always made Florida man jokes about them even though they’ve never been to Florida lmao

And then Leo who is the youngest is a Cumberland slider (He/him)

If you think you’ve seen this before, you would be right. Back in June I submitted this anonymously as a meme redraw to @thekrows-nest, who Krow and LT belong to.

I considered fixing this traditional art as I was still learning to use coloured pencils properly and they look a little rough and pale. But in the end I decided to just sign it and pop it in the archives.

I probably won't finish this because the hair and skintone have me stuck. It may even have to be completely redrawn.

However. This picture was one of the the first detailed pieces attempted after buying Procreate Pocket in August and trying digital art out for the first time. It began as a low effort repaint of the 'toddler with gun' meme but then I started using it to properly learn the tools and went ham.

What I like: The detail of Krow's design and the blending of their skin tones. The realistic style. Their expression. This is before I read anything about facial proportion or expressions so I drew that face instinctively by eye, but the anguished emotion of the original still somehow came through.

What I don't like: It began as a lazy repaint over a toddler so the body proportions are off for an adult. Far too chunky.

I chose a default base colour that was too warm and light for Krow's skin and used a reference picture with harsh overly bright lighting that lightened and distorted the colours. This, in combination with overzealous blending of highlights into the mid tone, ended up whitewashing their skin. (I didn't know about changing brush opacity then.) In canon art and other fanart Krow has darker cool toned skin. (Krow is Indian/Bengali.)

Attempts to darken the shadows to put the lighter 'overexposed' looking parts of face in context and paint over with a more appropriate shade only orangewashed them, and adding more details to try and tone their skin down darker just turned their cute freckles into muddy hyperpigmentation. I wish I had known or knew how to just colour adjust the original. Ps. Those round dark shadows are from their headphones.

I'm sorry king. I'm still learning, studying guides and source material now and will try to do better next time.

Also all this was done on a smartphone with a cheap stylus so even with the fineliner brush tool as small as it could go I couldn't write small enough for the allotted space on the buttons - so the details on there are blurry approximations.

I also didn't Glaze it because the artifacts of the filter were highly visible, a problem I'm having a lot. I'm sorry for the watermarkish writing - don't want someone to repost it with no context and get me dragged.

They’re technically the Splinters of one of my Tmnt iterations(it’s called Rat dads) and they’re my silly little guys<3

Miwa (the white one) is technically the actual dad of the four main turtles but Axel (the one with glasses) also ends up having his own two kids aswell. Plus they’re pretty much just co-parenting anyways, Miwa just gets the actual ‘parent’ title

They both were kidnapped and experimented on and turned into rats. They escaped and now they’re being hunted down while they also have to take care of four young children:D

They’re actually both based on me and one of my best friends lol. Axel is even named after said friend. That’s how the AU started in the first place

(This is them when they were escaping, so Axel doesn’t have his glasses and Miwa’s hair is all matted and isn’t very curly. The designs are also slightly outdated)

The whole point is that Krow's appearance is small, cute, unassuming, familiar and nonthreatening enough that the normally skittish Dove doesn't feel uncomfortable with casually being physically close to and protective of them. They are sitting on them like a baby chick.

They don't know Krow takes it as a date though. They're pretty naive and more than a bit oblivious.

A black-and-white haired teen appeared on an amateurish-recorded video you were watching. He smiled shyly and waved, his voice wavering slightly at the beginning before gaining confidence.

"Hi there, my name's Krow Jones. Some time ago I helped stop aliens from invading NYC. That was... certainly something." He shrugged. "I'm stuck in the past and kind of bored, so I decided to try this. It was sensei's idea, actually. Not really sure how it all works, but can't be too hard, right?"

An older, more muscular man who looked nearly identical to the teen came into the frame. He put a supportive hand on the younger man's shoulder. "You'll get the hang of it, Little Me."

Younger Krow playfully glared at his older counterpart. "Hey, who are you calling little, old man? We're the same height!"

The older one let out a hearty, good-natured laugh. "That we are! But you're still little in age, you know? You're 19, your life's barely begun!" He gave the camera a wide grin, eyes sparkling. "We've noticed some people are curious about us. So we'll answer the internet's most burning, nosy questions! In a longer book-like form, no less. 'It's supposed to emulate vlogging but with words', our writer said. Very fancy!"

"Seems like overkill for something so casual," teen Krow remarked. He gestured to the long blocks of writing on the fourth wall. "Who's going to even read all this?"

Old Krow shook his head. "Have faith in our audience. Anyway, let's wrap this up. Like we practiced, okay?" He counted off on his fingers. "3, 2, 1..."

Both men hooked thumbs, their hand splayed open to each resemble one half of a bird's wings. They sang their vlog's tagline in unison. "You caw, we'll caw back!"

I don't know if this will have much lore, but I feel like it will be cute, so I'm willing to note things

Krow has been thinking about its past recently, and would like to talk to Ayngel about it.

Ayngel doesn't remember much either, but she did have one. She thinks she saw her parents, but she isn't too sure.

Krow is telling Ayngel about its only 'memory'. But isn't sure it would be at the top of the food chain unless it can turn into an actual dragon.

It doesn't know if it wants to remember, but it feels hollow without remembering.

It's been jumping hotel room to hotel room. It's planning to build a house.

In clearing B it didn't build its house because it can't build. Says whatever it was before as probably just useless at everything other than throwing knives.

It wonders if the 'voices' are people. It doesn't like when they are loud

Likes to think it was good in its past, but wonders if it's better to not know if it wasn't good. Questions if when it got its memories if it 'was' or 'am'.

Getting very philosophical today.

It said it would be nice if it was really good and had people waiting for it outside

Hello! This is my changelingcore side blog!! I have two names: Sasha and Krow, as I’m genderfluid, so you can call me either one!

I use caw/they/xey/fae/he/she pronouns, feel free to pick just one or two to stick with if you'd like

I have a reoccurring hyperfixation on the fae, it's not yet a special interest but darn it's close. My interest is mostly caused by the theory that changeling myths were about autistic and otherwise disabled people and so I relate heavily. I do not believe in the fae personally, but if they are real then there's an alternative theory: faerie minds function more like autistic minds than allistic ones.
