I've gotta wonder how Flowey's potbot would change in the dark world? Like does it count as his clothes in which case Az just gets a new look, or does it count as inventory like Kris's pencil (which makes a sword) or Susie's hairbrush (?) which becomes an axe, in which it would completely change form and maybe even grant him some new magic. Or maybe not, since unlike the deltarune monsters, he already has magic. One thing, I know, is if Frisk had the stick, it would turn into a cool staff or broom capable of flight. Also, the kids costumes, weapons and roles do seem reminescent of dnd classes, like Susie's a barbarian, Ralsei's a cleric, Red's a knight/paladin (someone says Kris would probably fit better as a rogue if on their own and I agree), and Noelle's a White Mage. So I'm gonna say Frisk would be a bard, because of the flirtiness and silly showiness, and Asriel would be like a... warlock or sorceror? something cool, edgy and god of hyperdeath like (or maybe just another barbarian, he is pretty agressive and impulsive sometimes...).
And I'm pretty convinced that you bring Chara to the darkworld and their beloved dagger straight up becomes a flaming sword, fit for a persecuting Angel =)
You activiated my brain, friend! Thank you! Anyways, I couldn't decide if this would be their Darkworld looks or just their DND looks, it's up to you. Either way I got a little too creative.
Asriel still wasn't able to fully get his real body back in this world, but thankfully the potbot transformed with him and still serves as his body and while he looks crabby in the picture, he really warms up to it and loves this form (and yes, his bangs are also his flower petals!) I had trouble deciding what class he would be, but landed on him long ago being a cleric (like Ralsei) then turned into a soulless druid, then turned into a fighter (still a druid but with a soul now?? I dunno, send help) ( either way, the armor-body and chaos saber helped me decide)
His Chaos Saber is now a Gold Flower (Chaos) Saber, but it's cursed and whispers things old Flowey used to say, but Asriel whispers back and tells it to shut up and never listens. (It's a lot like Finn's grass sword issue with Fern (Adventure Time))
While he plays a guitar in Growing Pains and even sings some, I was unsure if being a bard would have fit him because Frisk enjoys singing so much more than him and even later becomes a professional karaoke singer...
OH WAIT, what if he eventually transforms his saber into a guitar and transitions into a bard too? DOUBLE BARD TEAM, NOW THEY'RE A BAND! (Again, send help.)
-
Now to Frisk, I really liked your idea for them being a bard because you're right, it does definitely fit them, they prefer talking and flirting their way out of situations than fighting.
Their stick becomes and magic mic, it makes their opponent listen to them (depending on their level) and they can either sing like they're a professional karaoke singer, using their song to support Asriel and make him stronger, or, they can act as a comedic therapist to either distract the opponent with laughter, or get in their head and make them cry with a single powerful word. (The therapist method is extremely effective but it rarely works/makes Frisk very tired)
(In their Angel of Mercy AU I made of them, their stick is actually part sword, and I think it's an optional route for them if they ever wanted to shake things up and change classes, but perhaps they become a sorcerer or cleric and their sticks grows and becomes a wand?)
Like Kris, their color pallet changes and they become pink/purplish/gold, but I couldn't decide what to do with their hair and skin, so I kept it mostly the same but made it cooler.

posting this while on the brink of falling asleep
@eepymonstrr i have finished the outline and stuff for the dnd x sleep token thing.
i put to much work into this and its not even drawn yet because i had to flesh out the characters first before drawing them.
this is is my notes in text form with some additions. enjoy this till i can actually draw, i do not have time nor energy at the moment. very sorry.
Elf Druid Vessel -
White long curly hair, gray skin, smoke markings, freckles, some other markings, the deer womb tat, claws. Why a druid? He was abandoned in the forest by his elder. He seemed to be too quiet and almost depressed to the others, he was not attractive to the humans like all the other elves. It drove his elders to abandon him and call him a monster, a creature, not worthy of love. By anyone. He encountered Sleep as he shivered and slept on the moss covered forest floor. Sleep asked if they could be able to save him, let him be free. in return worship Sleep and spread his word and create a collective. After that vessel awoke in a cottage being taken care of by a smoke like creature that had tentacles and eyes in place of a face shrouded in a cloak. The same cloak he would adopt and add to in his worship of Sleep.
Half-Orc Ranger II -
Blue undertone gray skin with red gradient on his fingers and toes, dark hair with gray streaks at the temples, 5’7, 180 - 200 pounds, tusks that are prominent. Lots of scars as well as Sleep’s marking as a scar on his chest. Why a ranger? Hes self taught main weapons are two Kris knifes his mother gave him before he was exiled from the quiet village he got thrown out for being loud and “spawn of the enemy” He met Vessel after almost shooting Vessel with an arrow as he was hunting.
Tiefling Rogue III -
Red skin with a black gradient on his fingers and toes, white/pale blue eyes, long black warm tone hair (most likely curly). 6”7 - 7 feet tall (not yet decided). Claws because why not Why a rouge? He met IV while on a heist with his old party (of people also on the run). The encounter with IV was in a tavern in the middle of the town he was in at the moment. He fell into IV’s arms and was baffled at spark feeling, like something that makes him want to leave all of this behind and just find happiness. Which he did, he went on a journey to find IV after that, running into him with his new party (Vessel and II). III felt a pull and knew he was on the right path.
Dragon-Born/Human Hybrid Wizard IV -
Warm gray scales with a red and gold iridescence that is stark against his skin, 5’10, stormy blue eyes with dragons slit pupils that act a lot like a cats, dusty brown blond long mullet mohawk, a tattoo somewhere, claws because why the hell not (starting to get sleepy while writing these up) Why a wizard? He was born to a human mother and a dragon born father who plans to retire from his wizardly duties once IV has found his magical spark and is of age. Little did he know that his son would find how spark and then decide to leave the royal life forever.
im now going to go to bed

You landed in the new dark world on your back, and as you got up, you saw that you now resembled a druid from the games of Dungeons and Dragons you had played after school. Kris tugged you away from the entrance, seeming to know where they were going.
Susie looked quite concerned from Kris being the one to summon the fountain, but was equally concerned with whatever Noelle had done in the light world.
A goat noticed the three of you, Kris mumbling something very softly, and the goat joined Susie. A breeze of snow hit all of you as Noelle officially decided to make her way in.
(The DND thing was a headcanon I had)

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?
I've got innumerous wips. Most of them never see the light of day. One of my current favourite ideas is a käärijan one where Jere is a druid from Finland going to Transylvania for an annual summit of representatives, and he meets vampire!Bojan and his posse.
Kris is the first one to come across the druid from Finland. The guy almost kidnaps Kris in the process, because quote unquote smell vampires on him, want save poor elf, I panic. Kris just laughs throughout the entire thing, sharp ears red from his embarrassment as he dusts the remnants of the rooting spell off his pants.
‘I’m with them,’ Kris says, and realisation dawns on the druid after a few blinks.
‘With vampires?’ the guy asks, flabbergasted. He rows his brilliant blue eyes across the gaggle that is the group of Slovenes.
‘Just the two of us,’ Jure says, and Bojan lifts his hand on instinct as though he was still in elementary school.
Jan flashes a sharp tusk hidden behind his lips, typical of vukodlaks. If the druid has done his homework properly, he would know, though mixing a woodland sprite with an elf should merit revoking his fucking license altogether.
That’s not what they are here for though, and Bojan couldn’t care less—he’s not the fucking druid police.
‘And he?’ the druid says, looking at Nace curiously.
Nace stops stuffing his face with the vegan petit fours, and looks up. ‘Me? I’m just a human.’

@alldimension: ❛ no, no turning back now. ❜ / accepting.
she adjusts her glasses, fidgeting nervously. ten-thousand what-if questions ricochet in her mind, interspersed with worst case scenarios & self-doubt. if annette had learned to wildshape by now, she would've turned into a mouse & skittered away. but she can't, even if she'd like to. "b-b-but i -- kr - kris-sten, i-i c-can-n't, i'm ... a t-t-terr-rible d-druid, it --" she shakes her head.

Say hello to Mary Jane Selser, aka Sonelle, the gal in my PFP and banner! This design in particular is for a deltarune AU a friend group of mine has, which just replaces the cast with our sonas, with Sonelle in particular being your's truly as Noelle! There's some changes here and there, so I'll just go ahead and start down the line. I also don't know if anyone else wants to be mentioned by name, so I'll just refer to them as "[role] replacement". General: Relationships with the Kris and Susie replacement basically swap. I've been basically best friends with the Susie replacement for a long time, and kinda have a massive crush on the Kris replacement, so those are reflected here, with Sonelle already being buddy-buddy with our Susie replacement, and being comically head over heels for our Kris replacement. The ferris wheel scene in Chapter 2 is also between her and our Kris replacement, rather than Susie.
Dark World: Ice as a general theme of sorts is replaced by druid-y, general nature stuff, specifically vines and flowers. A crown of thorns on her head, and bracelets to match. Those bracelets canonically tighten to a painful degree if she ever tries to take them off. The thorns themselves are a little weird, retracting whenever she's particularly happy, and on her crown specifically, are replaced by flower buds. Something funny is that I imagine it'd almost seem like it's the other way around, since she'd almost always be happy enough for the flowers to show, when she's around our Kris replacement, and.. well, you rarely see her without her being around them. I also thought up hypothetical names for each of her spells, since, I dunno, I was bored. N-Action - M-Action (kinda obvious but for consistency's sake) Iceshock - Bloomburn (operates like a paper mario attack. you hold down z until the attack bar thingy reaches the sweetspot, and then let go. attack itself is two vines sprawling up around the enemy, before flowers bloom and pop at the top, basically hurting the enemy with the pollen. the burn part is just to have something that acts like the 'shock' part of the original) Sleep Mist - Melamist (this one's.. iffy. probably gonna change at some point. just a melatonin pun) Snowgrave - Thorntomb (Violent. basically, the idea is that vines wrap around the enemy, before immediately closing in, leaving nothing but clothes if they're lucky.)
Heal Prayer isn't here, since I'd rather leave that up to the person actually taking the place of Ralsei.
Her 'weapon' would actually be the crown, with the Freeze Ring and Thorn Ring replacements canonically having her bracelets permanently tighten more and more, and that's why she's constantly taking damage.
oh my god i am so ranting that's more than enough.

The options:

Kris: I'm kinda torn between monk and barbarian...
Chara: I'll go with bard.
Frisk: Wouldn't it be easier if I did that?
Chara: I have a better singing voice...
Frisk: Good point. I'll go with cleric?
Kris: Monk. Definitely monk...

Fate and Phantasms Viewers' Choice #10: Us!
hooo boy. this one’s a doozy. so! one of you wanted to see us as D&D builds. and that one won the lottery, so as an early Christmas gift this month’s viewer’s choice build is actually five builds on account of the whole plurality thing. (if you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, there’s a whole thing about it here: https://morethanone.info/ )
obviously the actual answer is a level 1 Expert Sidekick based on the Commoner statblock, but that’s a really boring answer. so instead we’re doing one build per headmate as if they were their own D&D character. so that means you’re getting one build each for Calamity, Victor, Cat, Jeanne, and me- Kris. this post is more of a hub for the other ones with the actual stats and all that- putting 5 whole builds on a single post would make it stupid long.
Calamity’s build already exists, but you can find it here if you missed it. (Ancients Paladin/Primeval Druid)
Victor’s build is here. (Thief Rogue/Land Druid)
Cat’s build is here. (Creation Bard/Echo Knight Fighter)
Jeanne’s is here. (Astral Self Monk/Light Cleric)
and finally mine is here. (Echo Knight Fighter/Solidarity Cleric)
