I’ll tell you what, the work really fucking pays off. After all the battles, all the struggle, taking the pain and alchemizing it to create a healthier, fulfilling lifestyle just for myself; it’s so worth it. Manifestation paired with healing is one of the best things everrrrrrr. You know that feeling when you realize you’re living one of your desired manifestations? 🥹(this emoji is so fucking funny) Got me like damnnnn it’s better than I imagined! That also being something I manifested! Almost everyday, I get a sudden rush of “oh this is actually happening” like my dreams are actually coming true. The past few months it’s been me cultivating and doing the work to heal, to make my visions come true and recently it’s been just confirmation after confirmation, there’s no doubt that I’m on my highest and desired timeline, how every dream no matter how wild (nothing is ever too crazy or too much, you can and will have it all) it is, it’s all now in my tangible space.
A few examples:
I wanted to go to the beach? Of course, and it happened at a five star hotel on a private beach in literal paradise (Krabi, Thailand)!
I wanted to travel, I ended up having the best vacation I’ve ever been on for almost two months ♥︎
I wanted more jewelry? Spent over 400 at Swarovski on pieces that I love, and was gifted a 14k golden ring from my mother that I always get compliments on.
I wanted to pick up sewing, so of course the day I go to buy my first sewing machine I meet my, now good friend, and sewing teacher who teaches me for free.
Literally who I am now is what I wanted to be last year. This all happened to me before I even truly believed this could happen to me because I practiced everyday.
Lastly, I wanted to sing in public. I didn’t know how it was gonna happen but I knew it was. At the hotel I previously mentioned, there was a live music day and I didn’t know it was happening until my family told me, so I thought, “this is my chance!” And yes, it was! I walked into the restaurant with good energy and the lead singer invited me to sing and dance with her!
All this to say, I really want you to know it’s real. This shit can happen, of course it can. So put in that work, love! In my experience, the most fulfilled you can go about this is to heal and find the healthiest and best things for you and only you. It can be hard but once you see little things you wanted start to roll in and then they gradually get bigger and bigger and before you even understand it, you’re living the life you’ve always wanted. With my whole heart, I believe in you. I’ve come to the point where this is just a no brainer, I am rooting for you and I can’t wait to see you get to that point too! I hope this post does not come across as egotistical because showing off is truly not what I am trying to portray. The universe does not care for what you want, it’s gives you your thoughts, words, and commitments. What are you committing to right now that is limiting you? Also, IF THE OPPORTUNITY OR EXPERIENCE HASN’T PASSED YET, DON’T ACT LIKE YOU CAN’T HAVE IT!! Everything given to the earth is specifically made for the beings on earth, of course you deserve it.
with love, koolkidkook (๑>◡<๑)♥︎

Hey this is random but I feel like you might’ve seen it- do you remember that very strange soviet(?) animation of little alien battlebot looking things of escalating size eating each other in a rocky desert landscape? I’m trying to find it bc I know I’ve seen it many times on this site but I cannot think of what to google beyond what I’ve written here
-sensoryoverloadistry (sorry I have to send on anon or the message won’t send)

Hey anon... seems Tumblr has eaten my answer to you 😭
You sent me a link to a 2018 radio interview where Jared mentioned Colin just like that. As if it were normal. And we all know it is NOT normal.
I know this interview. Recently someone sent me the link to it, to what I call the "That's an easy one" - interview and I mildly freaked out. Discussed it here:
I haven't yet processed the fact he just said the name 😂 Yet, in 2021 he was weird again not mentioning him in an interview - which was the "Not my hair but Alexander's hair"- interview - about the movie. He called Colin Alexander instead of, well, Colin. Although the problems he talks of only popped up because of the actor being black Irish and not blond, so he looked slightly like an 80ies glam metal singer with his hairdo and extensions, something Alexander's actor who shall not be named once called "low hanging fruit" to pick on the movie. Jared took the opportunity right there. "Not my hair, but Alexander's hair" - give me a break. Totally normal.
I looked up the last time Colin mentioned Jared, in the "Jared Leto did okay" — interview from 2013 and thought about Colin's answer. He repeated the name and agreed with the interviewer that "Jared's done great, yeah absolutely yeah absolutely". I thought about how he didn't name him by first and last name, as he did Elliot Cowan and Anthony Hopkins afterward, whom he said he had seen through the years. This "Jared" actually sounds like someone who was close enough to grant him the status of first name only acquaintance and who's still—this interview takes place 9/10 years after the movie—present in his life. It's Jared; we don't need to give him a last name in this conversation because I have just texted him this morning. That's what it sounds like. So this was December 2013. In January 2014, we had the Golden Globes and Colin's restrained reaction to Jared's win on camera. In April, Jared had his #ThinkingAboutYou throwback moment in Krabi, Thailand. And in July Colin shot his Intenso fragrance clip for Dolce and Gabbana on Stromboli, Italy, and stayed in Naples and Capri after that. He loved it so much he still gushed about Stromboli in 2022, not unlike he did with Morocco. He would evoke his memories of Marrakech a lot during his interviews for Intenso, if I remember correctly. Funny enough Jared cruised the Tyrrhenian Sea, too. Corsica, Ponza, Capri, visiting the same places as Colin, just a week apart. They almost met... I mean, theoretically they could've… never mind. In this reality they have severed all ties ages ago, right?

tumblr q&a. thank you for the tag, @ocean-waters!
favourite color:
rose gold, especially if it's something black with rose gold accents. it's pretty.
last song:
i'm not sure why but i've been in a bit of a mood and this song pretty much sums it up. also, it's very rinharu-coded (at least to me) because the first part leading up to the chorus goes like this:
hello my friend, we meet again
it's been a while, where should we begin?
feels like forever
within my heart are memories
of a perfect love that you gave to me
oh i remember
when you are with me, i'm free
i'm careless, i believe
above all the others, we'll fly
this brings tears to my eyes
my sacrifice
woops, i got carried away there.
last movie:
ultraman rising! i'm currently fixated on this guy:
sato kenji. he's got rin vibes and i'm obsessed. him aside, the movie was so wholesome. also partly very sobering. 100/10, highly recommend, please go watch!
currently reading:
unfortunately, i haven't been reading anything much lately. does anyone have any rinharu fic recommendations? (i'm very picky though. sigh.)
currently watching:
alice in borderland season 2. this shit is getting more complex. i love it. i should probably check the manga out.
currently craving:
the chocolate lava cake from this cafe my fiancé and i like to frequent. the choco banana pancake i ate in 2013 from a roadside stall in krabi, thailand. rinharu amvs. takoyaki. a good, deep conversation that'll warm up my noggin.
tea or coffee:
tea. in particular, good ol' masala tea. i don't usually like the taste of herbs or spice in my beverages but i can't pass up on masala tea. but it's hard to find masala tea that is done just right for me. sigh. maybe i should try making my own.
tagging: @lostlegendaerie @museaway @dragon-of-timeless-blue @cookie4hope and anyone else that wants to do this! (i'm sorry - i have no idea who has done it before and who hasn't!)

Thailand
From the photog, Denys Nevozhai:
This photo was shot with my DJI Phantom 3 in Thailand, Krabi in 2016. It’s possible to get to the Sirithan Beach (sandy island) walking from the mainland (more right) in the water. The maximum depth in the most shallow path is waist-high. A little inconvenience totally worth it because the beach is almost empty and feels like a paradise.

We have a new citizen in Mount Phoenix:
Saengdao Thanom, a 25 year old son of Nut. He is an engineer with the MPFD and a pro paintball strategist.
FC NAME/GROUP: Ohm Pawat/ Actor CHARACTER NAME: Saengdao Thanom AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: 25/ June 21st, 1997 PLACE OF BIRTH: Krabi Town, Thailand OCCUPATION: Engineer at the MPFD, Pro Paintball Strategist, Co-owner of a Paintball Arena located outside Mount Phoenix HEIGHT: 6’1 WEIGHT: 169 lbs DEFINING FEATURES:
His hair is perpetually shaggy and a bit messy. Looks rather fluffy about 90% of the time but any time he pulls his hair back or gets his hair trimmed the effect is very noticeable.
He wears a lot of bracelets and dangly things when in casual/comfy clothing. All of them are custom made or are mostly made from leather and hemp.
Piercings: Two Lobe Piercings and an Industrial in his Left ear, One Lobe and a Helix piercing in his right ear.
Tattoos: STARLIGHT written in a Stylized font followed with a tiny moon and three stars on his right hip, Another set of stars on the back of his neck (One big one, two small ones all clustered together)
Scars: Jagged line through his left shoulder (Definitely an injury that needed stitches and was not patched professionally), Gunshot graze on his right side (near his ribs, looks like it barely missed something vital.), three faint scars circling around the area just above his left ankle (Covered by three anklets that he almost never removes.)
PERSONALITY: Saengdao is bright and kind. He’s gentle to a fault but is always determined and ready to protect his friends. He’s incredibly protective towards those he’s close with but he’s not someone that would let his protective nature get out of hand. He cares a lot about his friends but he always believes in letting people make mistakes in order for them to grow. He’s generally docile and sweet but if someone threatens those he chooses to protect, that person better run as fast as they can. There are times when he can be quite puppy-like as well, happy and teasing with gentle smiles all around. He’s very playful as well, fond of jokes and having fun. He likes getting to know people, always eager to make more friends.
There is a bit of darkness deep beneath all the smiles, however.
While Saengdao is very kind and supportive and sweet to his friends and those he hangs out with, he has a tendency to not be quite as open and bright when it comes to himself and his personal mistakes. He has a bit of trauma from how he grew up between ages fifteen and twenty, followed by even more trauma that developed from an incident at around age twenty two (or three). He has a very low opinion of himself and his self-worth in comparison to those he cares for. He’s harsh with himself whenever he makes mistakes and even has a habit of blaming himself in situations far outside his control.
He struggles with expressing all these things as well, preferring to hide the negative thoughts and feelings behind a facade of smiles and a near hyper-focused fixation on helping his friends with their problems versus talking about his own. He needs to be poked and prodded by his more perceptive friends any time he falls into a negative mindset before he ever tries focusing on it or explaining his thoughts. But all around, Saengdao is a friend that can be counted on and a true friend for life.
HISTORY: Seangdao has experienced much over time. His life being one full of the light he shares with everyone, leaving none for himself. When he was young, his father moved the two of them away from their home in Thailand to make way for a new job that his father believed would be better for the both of them. They ended up in Los Angeles. Through some personal debate on his father’s part, the two of them started living in Koreatown there. It had the base of an asian community, despite the culture differences it still was a place that was close enough to home that Saengdao’s father felt comfortable raising him there.
(Though Saengdao has no knowledge of the thoughts inside his father’s head, the man also thought Koreatown was a good place to live due to the chance that, should Dao leave and find his own way in the future, his son might one day make it to Mount Phoenix as well and thus giving him much needed experience and knowledge to make living there easier as well. For the man was fully aware of the goddess that had gifted him with his little bundle of gentle starlight.)
Soon after their arrival in Koreatown, Saengdao met and befriended another child. He was younger than him by about a year but from that moment on, with the sudden surge of strong but gentle protectiveness filling his small body, Dao decided he’d be there for him whenever he needed him. This was his first meeting with Lio. They became fast friends after that, soon realizing the two of them were neighbors and hanging out often.
Dao also started getting into a lot of fights after meeting Lio, the urge to keep his new friend safe combined with the need to teach the younger’s bullies a lesson any time they harassed the younger boy causing him to immediately try fighting them. Anyone who wanted to bother the younger male had to go through him first. No excuses. Despite this, Dao did keep himself bright and gentle. He always kept to the thought that you shouldn’t attack someone unless they tried to hit you first. He usually tried to talk to people first, only those being mean or threatening being the ones to face his wrath from the start.
Even when Lio had to move away from Koreatown, the two of them still kept in contact.
A lot of things changed for Saengdao between the ages of fourteen and fifteen. He’d noticed a change in his best friend. The other male had shifted dramatically, both physically and in personality. He wanted to ask him if he was okay, to check on him more. But shortly after this change in his friend, Saengdao’s life entered an upheaval. His father suddenly passed away, leaving him alone and lost before his aunt appeared and had him return to Thailand with her.
A series of unfortunate events continued to follow him around once he was back in his birthplace. His aunt had adopted him, but she was the mother of two girls and his uncle (now adopted father) struggled to deal with having a son after years of raising his two daughters. Dao still got into fights and the man could only respond with corporal punishment. Something that didn’t help either of them in the long run.
Eventually, the man reached his breaking point and ended up kicking Dao out despite his wife and their children’s protests. He was his adoptive son, his nephew, but he didn’t know how to handle him or his protective nature.
Saengdao still kept in contact with Lio, the letters they sent each other always taking some time to make it but eventually they got to where they needed. He did stop sometimes, dealing with the twist of ugly feelings he’d begun to develop since his uncle had started his punishments and struggling to find the words he wanted to say until he’d pushed all the negativity away to deal with later.
Life got better after a little while, Dao discovering a small group of others like himself. Homeless and lost, needing a family. He visited his cousins (sisters) and aunt where he could, careful to keep out of sight of his uncle any time he visited for the man forbade him from ever returning to them. He went to school once he’d gotten to a better place, him and his new family all doing odd jobs and other types of work to make a living they all shared. He managed to get into a Faculty of Engineering, a smaller school than the more famous places of learning but it was still good enough to earn a valid education and a solid degree in engineering.
It was good, until it wasn’t.
Dao’s little family got caught up in one of the worst situations that could have ever happened. An all out turf war between two competing cartels. Their little abandoned building that the group of them had built a home out of was caught between the two territories and the group of them had no choice but to learn how to defend themselves. They got drawn deep into the war, struggling and fighting to stay alive despite all the chaos but one mistake cost all of them greatly. Two of Dao’s friends, his family, the eldest members of their group lost their lives.
Not only that, but another friend also ended up permanently disabled for the rest of their life.
And Dao blamed himself for all of it.
He struggled hard, dealing with everything building up and snowballing in his mind. He thought of ways that they could have avoided the situation, other ways the whole thing could have gone until the one remaining friend snapped him out of the spiraling and gave him something new to strive for. They moved in with the other friends they had, ones outside their little family with homes of their own but still close enough to offer support.
Saengdao and his now deaf and mute friend began learning sign language together, focusing on moving forwards with their lives while knowing the friends they both lost wouldn’t want them to drown in their grief.
Lio stopped contacting him, and Saengdao had some trouble dealing with that fact. He’d wondered why, not sure if it was something he’d done or something else. It drove him crazy until one of his friends offered him more things to do and his focus shifted to learning more about handicapped communities between attempts to overcome some of his trauma with professional paintball.
His friends thought it would help and it did, he took to it fast and started doing better once more.
One day, his aunt brought him a little notebook. It was one of his father’s possessions left behind in Thailand. It explained a lot of things for him, bringing light to the existence of demigods and the fact that Saengdao himself was one as well. Thus, he headed to Korea, to try and find this place that his father had found out about so long ago. He landed in Ichinen, but it took a lot of time to find the bridge.
It felt like months, but over that course of time he’d formed a couple of new friendships. One with a quiet owner of a paintball arena that he ended up spending enough time at to form a close bond with the older person who oversaw it, and one with another demigod like himself. Someone who’d also had trouble finding the bridge to what could be a true home for the both of them. They’d bonded a lot, Saengdao growing fond of the baker and forming a close friendship with him that stood strong even as they finally spotted the bridge that led the way into their new home. To Mount Phoenix.
PANTHEON: Egyptian CHILD OF: Nut POWERS:
Natural protective instincts
More energetic on sunny days and weaker on cloudy days
Minor stellar manipulation at night
STRENGTHS:
Sunny Days. He has a lot of energy when the skies are clear and the sun is bright. These days are his activity days. He gets a lot done where he can when he has the excess energy to burn.
Naturally protective. His protective instincts are high class and he’s always there for those he considers under his protection. It keeps him alert to dangers and fairly empathetic to his friends.
Skilled with Strategy and Tactics. From learned experiences over time, Saengdao has a good mind when it comes to thinking his way through problems or tactical issues and resolving them. He knows how to look at a problem or setting and come up with a successful plan to combat it.
Multilingual. Knows Thai, English, Korean, and Arabic. He also knows Thai Sign(TSL), American Sign(ASL), and Korean Sign(KSL).
WEAKNESSES:
Cloudy Days. He gets weak and tired to the point of lethargy. Oftentimes he’ll end up sleeping until the skies clear up.
Has issues with his own self worth in comparison to friends and those he wants to protect.
Suffers from PTSD due to ‘causing’ the loss of two of his close friends and the permanent injuries suffered by another friend that rendered them deaf/mute for life. Mistakes were made by all of them but Saengdao believes the entire thing was his fault.
Puts on a façade when his thoughts and feelings aren’t the brightest. He’ll put up a front of being happy and comfortable even when the things going on in his head are very much not the kindest in regards to himself. He won’t admit to any of it either unless cornered and given no choice but to explain where his thoughts are going.

Krabi Getaway : Hot Spring, Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon (Day 2)
Day 2 in Krabi.
Our trip was entirely unplanned. We just thought of bringing the kids to somewhere nice before school starts so we bought plane tickets without hesitation. So after dinner on Day 1, while we were walking back to our hotel. We decided to stop by a tour package booth right outside the hotel. To our surprise, the lady speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. We bought a trip from her for Hot Spring, Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon for the next day. It's a full day trip. There is an option for the Tiger Cave Temple with 1260 steps to go up. We experienced that before without kids, it was unforgettable! Now with kids, forget it.
Our van was quite big and comfortable. My only complain is, most, if not all, cars or vans in Krabi set their air conditioners to the lowers, level 1. We were sweating profusely and kids crying because of heat. They also seem to be quite reluctant to turn the air conditioners higher. Maybe to save costs, hehe. The journey from our hotel to Hot Spring was slightly over an hour. So the heat can be unbearable. @BabyAsherMak was crying a lot until we asked them to turn up the air conditioners.
First stop was the hot spring. It was quite private and only our group was there, plus another group that arrived a little later. Hot water bath was divine. Feels so good after. There is a rest area with toilets there for us to use too, with free coffee and tea. A massage area, quite cheap, but we didn't have time.
Second stop was Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon which is just 15 minutes from the Hot Spring. The walk into Emerald Pool is around 1 kilometers, while from Emerald Pool to Blue Lagoon is another 600 meters. Carrying our baby and lots of items, every 100 meters felt like forever. It was almost a 4 kilometer walk. Emerald Pool is nice to swim. @BabyZacToys loves it and didn't want to leave. The sides can be very slippery. Pool is clean. There are some small fish in it too.
After our tour, we had dinner at Kodam Kitchen near our hotel. It was also super highly rated on Google. Food was ok but not like amazing. Just normal Thai cuisine. I loved the raw prawns though. That dish was DIVINE since I love to eat raw stuffs. Lol.

Thailand fling pt. 3
Who had on their bingo card that Jared Leto would spend the last days of 2024 in Thailand. Not only in Thailand, but in Krabi. Not only Krabi but at Railay Beach, at the Rayavadee resort, the place Colin Farrell stayed at right after the shooting of Alexander had ended in 2004? Of all places he wound up there... again. Not on my card, at least.

Captioned with: Hello Thailand long time no see ❤️ 2004, 2014 and now 2024. Some things change, others never do
Remember, we had this stunning trip down memory lane in 2014, showing him watching a sunset at Railay Beach:

Captioned with: #Thinking about you
Below are impressions from his much more publicized vacay that stretched over Christmas and his 53rd birthday. Just New Year's Eve he apparently jetted off to Tokyo.

Jared shared his Thailand activities (diving, climbing, sunset watching) and grown wealth extensively on Instagram and Snapchat. He chose two songs of his own (of course) as soundtrack. Life is Beautiful on Instagram, and Great Wide Open (which has all the known symptoms of a Farrelleto song) on Snapchat.
[I'm a thief; You're a liar] But we live in our wildest dreams, Into the great wide open, Across a land of blood and dreams
he croons under the Snapchat video…

… and then treats us to a sunset view across an exclusive beautiful beach, which is at a different resort in Phuket now.
This land “of blood and dreams” where an “I” and a “you” lived their “wildest dreams”—it really looks like Mr. Leto gave us a personal 20th anniversary of Alexander after all. Why, thank you for that! There was nothing all year—no reminiscence, no word from Colin, not even from Oliver Stone. Until these posts.
You can't look at them and not make a connection to Alexander; even without an explicit mention of the movie, it's all over the messaging. The choice of location, Jared giving his sternest Hephaistion gaze like it's 2004, or 2014, for that matter, the philosophical reflection…
And with that comes the one who shall not be named.
Funny enough, I realized something when I was making this post. Jared has edited the caption. Some time after December 21, the phrase “Some things change, others never do” was extended with an 🥸 emoji.

Come on! 😅 What is that supposed to mean? Why would someone take time to do that?
I'm spitballing here and assume, yes, this was deliberate. The caption expresses a specific sentiment in abstract terms about passing time and “things” that aren't affected by it. The curious addition of 🥸 was made to hint at what it is that he thinks is “never” changing. It's a trivial observation that some things change and others don't, insofar as his vacation destination is concerned or anything else on this planet, but the “never” does some heavy lifting here. Maybe it's kept opaque because he wants to communicate something different altogether. It pertains to the timeframe of “2004, 2014, and now 2024”. Something hasn't changed since his first time in Thailand, and he's certain it “never” changes. “Things” can mean a lot.
And I listen, and I think everyone with a certain sensibility here will get it too. To quote an sometimes 🥸-looking-actor circa 2004 concerning the relationship between Alexander and Hephaistion in the movie:
You'll probably get the fucking vibe unless you're blind and deaf.

I don't think we are, are we, blind and deaf? The vibe is vibing.
He said Never Not Love You ...

A Comprehensive Guide to Krabi Airport Transportation Options
Krabi, one of Thailand's most beloved tourist destinations, is known for its picturesque beaches, stunning islands, and vibrant culture. Whether you are planning to visit the famous Railay Beach, the beautiful Phi Phi Islands, or simply looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat, Krabi has something for every traveler. For many, the first step in experiencing this paradise is arriving at the Krabi International Airport (KBV). Once you land, choosing the right transportation to your destination is crucial to ensuring a smooth start to your trip. In this guide, we will explore the various Krabi airport transportation options, as well as transport options between Krabi and nearby destinations like Koh Lanta.
Krabi Airport Transportation Options
Krabi International Airport serves as a major entry point for travelers visiting Krabi, Koh Lanta, and nearby islands. The airport is located about 15 kilometers from Krabi Town and roughly 25 kilometers from Ao Nang, making it important for visitors to consider convenient transportation methods once they arrive.
1. Taxis and Private Transfers Taxis are one of the most popular and convenient ways to get from Krabi Airport to various destinations in the region. Upon arrival, travelers can easily find a taxi counter at the airport's arrival hall. Taxis operate on a fixed-price system, so you can expect to pay a set fee depending on your destination. For example, a taxi ride from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang typically costs around 600-700 THB.
Private transfers are also an excellent choice if you are looking for a more comfortable and personalized experience. You can pre-book private transfers online or through your hotel, which will ensure a smooth journey to your accommodation. This is a great option for families, groups, or those with a lot of luggage.
2. Airport Shuttle Buses For budget-conscious travelers, the airport shuttle bus is an affordable option. These shuttle buses run regularly between Krabi Airport and major tourist areas like Krabi Town and Ao Nang. The cost is usually much cheaper than a taxi, with prices ranging from 150 to 200 THB per person. The shuttle buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, and offer an easy way to travel with a few stops along the way.
3. Krabi Car Rentals For those who prefer more independence and flexibility during their travels, renting a car is an ideal option. Krabi Airport is home to several well-known car rental agencies, including international brands such as Hertz, Avis, and Budget, as well as local agencies. 4. Songthaews (Shared Pickup Trucks) Songthaews, or shared pickup trucks, are another affordable transportation option in Krabi. These vehicles operate on set routes and can be flagged down at the airport. They are usually less expensive than taxis, but you may need to share the ride with other passengers. Songthaews are a great way to save money while traveling to nearby areas like Krabi Town.
Koh Lanta to Krabi Transport
Koh Lanta, a popular island located to the south of Krabi, attracts many visitors each year. Getting from Koh Lanta to Krabi transport requires a bit of planning as there are a few transportation options available.
1. Minivan Services Minivan services are one of the most convenient ways to travel between Koh Lanta and Krabi. These minivans can be booked at travel agencies in Koh Lanta or through your hotel. The ride typically takes around 2-2.5 hours and drops passengers off at Krabi travel guide or Krabi Airport, depending on the service.
2. Ferry and Taxi Combination Another option for travelers heading from Koh Lanta to Krabi is to take a ferry, which operates between the two locations, followed by a taxi ride. The ferry takes about 1.5 hours, and once you arrive in Krabi, you can take a short taxi ride to Krabi Town or the airport.
Conclusion
Krabi is a stunning destination that offers a wealth of natural beauty and cultural experiences. Getting from Krabi International Airport to your desired destination is straightforward with multiple transportation options, including taxis, private transfers, airport shuttle buses, and Krabi Car Rentals. First Impressions: McDonald's in Ao Nang, Krabi (Thailand)
youtube
First Time Trying McDonald's in Thailand: A Surprising Experience
After arriving at Ao Nang from Bangkok, we wanted snacks and coffee. As we were searching for a coffee shop, we saw a MacDonald’s and decided to try it right away. It was our first time trying the fast-food chain in this part of the world, and we were curious to see if there were any differences from our experiences back home.
Unlike the ubiquitous 7-Elevens scattered throughout Thailand, McDonald's offered a welcome change of pace. The restaurant itself was clean and modern, with the familiar ordering system featuring touchscreens and the option to pay by credit card. Deciding on a snack, we opted for a classic Americano coffee (sugar and creamer are apparently not included with Americano orders) and two cheeseburgers. I had noticed before that in Asia, they don’t recognize regular coffee like in North America and Americano is the closest thing that comes to a regular coffee.
Here's where things got interesting: the price. While McDonald's might be considered a budget option in many places, the cost in Ao Nang (and anywhere else in Thailand, as we found out later) surprised us. Each cheeseburger came in at 100 baht, which translates to roughly $4 CAD. Similarly, the Americano was 90 baht, or about $3.70 CAD. We noticed that a Quarter Pounder with Cheese was 170 THB (7 CAD) and a double Big Mac was 210 THB (8.50 CAD).
While the price tag was a lot higher than expected (Thailand is a place where food is very cheap), the convenience and familiarity of McDonald's were undeniable. It was a fun little pit stop on our Ao Nang adventure and a reminder that sometimes, a classic burger and coffee can hit the spot even when you're exploring a new and exciting place.
