It’s always fun to check out the social media posts of Elon Musk, the billionaire Twitter/X owner and CEO of both Tesla and SpaceX, because you never know what he‘s going to say next, and—even though he has not declared that is a Republican or a conservative—he’s likely these days to send the woke crowd into paroxysms of whining. 

His latest target is Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy,

who has turned the once-beloved "Star Wars" franchise into a series of poorly-performing streaming shows and films that emphasize gender politics over, you know, plot and interesting storylines. As we’ve been reporting at RedState, the latest disastrous output—"The Acolyte"—features lesbian witches who procreate by using the Force. I know “Star Wars” is a fantasy, but I’m betting that’s not a thing in any universe.

Musk weighed in with his usual savage humor, liking a post that ripped Kennedy and adding, “She’s more deadly than the Death Star!”

He wasn’t done, however, and on Saturday, he was at it again:

Kennedy — who has been president of Lucasfilm since Disney bought the film and production company founded by “Star Wars” creator George Lucas in 2012 — has defended her decision to name Leslye Headland to direct “The Acolyte,” which is currently streaming on Disney+… Headland, the first woman to create a TV series for the franchise, has sought to make “The Acolyte” more diverse by casting minority actors including Amandla Stenberg, who identified as nonbinary and gay, and Korean star Lee Jung-jae. The narrative in “The Acolyte” that has raised hackles implies that powerful witches belonging to an all-female coven — led by Mother Aniseya, played by actress Jodie Turner-Smith — used the force to generate female offspring that star as the twin main characters, played by Amandla Stenberg.

Yeah, that sounds like a promising storyline. Not.

Artists should be able to make films about what moves them, and nobody is arguing that LGTBQ topics should be banned; if people want to see such fare, there’s a place for that. Where Kennedy—and Disney as a whole—has failed is by injecting controversial gender theories in almost everything they put out these days. Of course the original “Star Wars” movies had a heavily male fanbase—it had lightsabers, pretty women, dastardly villains, and spaceships; what’s not to like? The problem with the new Disney and Kathleen Kennedy approach is that they imply through their words and actions that there is something wrong with that. 

But there’s not. There is plenty of content out there that draws more female viewers than males—I don’t spend any of my time watching Hallmark movies or “Real Housewives of Whatever”; that fare doesn’t interest me in the slightest, and that’s fine. But imagine if they started a WWE storyline in the latest “Little Women" adaptation (sure to be staring Keira Knightley), that wouldn’t make sense, right? Cut from lovely ladies in their finery discussing their emotions to sweaty men fighting in a cage? I’m guessing that would not be a box-office winner.

Once again, Musk is able to sum up a topic with just a few words. He must be doing something right—he has 188 million followers. It’s posts like these that show the reason why.

I wanted to ask you about radical feminism (TERF-ism & TIRF-ism). Radical feminism never seemed to be *necessarily* some of the really bad things that people on this blog say it is. For instance, everything roach-works says it is in an earlier post. There are at least some people I've read who are part of the movement of radical feminism (whether or not they would self-identify as that) and who really don't espouse any of the views in roach-works comments. I feel there's a lot of truth in SOME of the views that nothorses correctly ascribes (i. m. o.) to radical feminists, in particular: "Women are all miserable with their bodies, cursed with the pressure to reproduce and have sex with men. ... miserable with their genders, forced as they are to ensure the overwhelming and constant suffering that is patriarchy." Is it just that the "all" makes the views too strong? Or is there, for critics, a more fundamental problem I'm missing?

I've seen some much nicer, saner people self-describe as radical feminists and object strenuously to how I see radfems... However, all of them still kept talking about porn in terms that only make sense if you're talking about the evils of the mainstream industry, and moreso the mainstream industry of the 1970s (which is when a lot of this rhetoric comes from). And yet this attitude gets over-applied to porn in general, regardless of medium, working conditions, or level of economic necessity involved in its creation.

The attitudes I think are pretty much universal in this ideology, and universally shitty, come out when they're confronted with fsub content by and for women.

Yeah, yeah, "mommy porn". I'm not saying Fifty Shades of Grey is well written or not kind of embarrassing, but when people start bleating about how confused womenfolk will get bad ideas from it, you should be suspicious, whether they're radfems or fundies.

"The hot billionaire falls in love with me for no reason and does all the work to make sex hot while I lie there like a dead fish" is a common fantasy. It really doesn't say anything about the woman in question, nor does it make the patriarchy stronger.

The big one to look for from nothorses list is #5:

Sex, in particular, is more often exploitative than not. Only some kinds of sex are not exploitative. Many kinds of sex that we think are consensual, or that people say are consensual, are either rape or proto-rape.

This is saying "BDSM is rape", which is something that most radfems do think once you scratch the surface. Rape roleplay is also rape and furthering the patriarchy.

Even if they make some small allowance for informed adults doing BDSM in some strict environment with specific rules, show them 50SoG and women's right to choose goes out the window. Sure, the relationship in the book looks pretty unhealthy, at least at the beginning, but the thing being criticized is readers' right to choose.

Even the radfems who support butchness and don't think butch women are gender traitors will usually be assholes over trashy wank material like 50SoG.

And once you open the door to "your libido is political", you've started down a very dark road that leads to a bunch of naturally kinky tumblr teens sitting in their bedrooms, staring at their computer screens, and wondering if they're a future rapist because they like a/b/o or sex pollen or something.

I get where you're coming from. Maybe you're in a context where most women are pretty miserable. But I'm not. I was raised by a mother who thought diets were stupid and telling your daughter what you think of her body is active child abuse.

Being a victim of abuse, including "you're too fat" type abuse, is neither inherent nor unique to women. Sure, women tend to be under the microscope, but so are lots of people.

As an upper middle class anglo white woman in the US and moreover as a woman who looks fairly conventionally femme even with my very hairy legs (much to my annoyance), I honestly don't experience that much policing. I already, through no fault and certainly no merit of my own, conform reasonably well to the "neutral" standard of white womanhood. My male equivalent would be the most unmarked in the US, but I'm only a little marked.

What this gender-obsessed analysis misses is that it's not about womanhood: it's about failing to be the "neutral" default. Poor people fail. Black people fail. Asian people fail. Disabled people fail. At least in the US. In Japan, third generation Korean-Japanese fail. Burakumin fail despite being ethnically Japanese due to having been a separate caste for centuries.

"Intersectionality" on social media tends to get used as miserypoker: the speaker with the most listed oppressions wins the argument and you should signal boost them or you're a bad person.

In actuality, what intersectionality means is recognizing that gender and sex may sometimes just not be very important in a given person's life if they experience enough privilege or if, conversely, they have such a profound lack of privilege elsewhere that this other identity overshadows gender in terms of their lived experience.

Radfem ideology says I must prioritize Woman out of my many identities. But, in reality, I feel more kinship with bisexual men than with lesbian women. I feel more kinship with kinky straight people than with bisexuals who want AO3 and pride parades to be nothing but g-rated hand holding.

I get that it's upsetting for people to be railing against something called "feminism", but that's like saying that disliking the Jews for Jesus makes you antisemitic. The whole point is that a lot of people feel that radical feminism is pretty anti-woman in many of its core values.

I don't think you're a bad person. I do think that some of the underpinnings of radfem ideology lead directly to sensitive people who are concerned about such things wondering if they are.

Notice in the quote above that Moon never mentions love as a motive for a man and a woman to marry. I think that says everything about the man!

If Moon really believed the statement he made about a woman’s sexual organ belonging to her husband, then why did he put his sexual organ into the sexual organs of married women who joined his church in Korea?

Moon is a sexual thief, just like Lucifer was.

According to Moon, he gave Hak Ja Han’s sexual organ (you know, his penis) to another woman, named Annie Choi – the mother of Sam Park, born in 1966. So, according to his own interpretation of the ownership of a person’s sexual organ, Moon is a thief because he gave to Annie Choi that which he claimed belonged only to his wife, Hak Ja Han, as her personal property.

How do UC members keep making excuses for this messed up megalomaniac? Do members ever stop to listen to their own warped reasoning where Moon is concerned? Do they have any idea how insane their justifications sound to reasonable people who don’t have a dog in any fight to defend Moon?

Do husbands believe their wives, who were given to them by Moon like pieces of property, without love even being a consideration, gave their bodies to them because the wives believed the husbands were the true owners of their bodies? Are the husbands seriously that blind and heartless?

Women in the UC are taught that they cannot have a family without Moon’s permission. They want a family so they let Moon give their bodies to men they don’t know or love.

Moon makes sure men and women of the church are sexually deprived as long as he can – and keeps the prospect of a family from them, dangled like a bait. Members often work hard, channelling their pent up sexual energies into building him an empire. Young-whi Kim explained, in New York a couple of years ago, that is why Moon held back on giving the “Blessing” to members from the mid 1960s onwards.

There is also the pyramid scheme of members not being able to even get matched, and then married – to a total stranger – unless they bring three new recruits (archangels to protect their blessing) into the church.

Then Moon controls the couple’s sex life through the three day ceremony. The first sexual experience of a couple is never forgotten. Moon witnesses the act through the photo of himself that he demands is always in the bedroom. Are the wives firstly “brides of Christ,” – brides of Moon? Moon told one husband “She belongs to me.” Three in the bed? Sex in the UC is always under the shadow of Moon.

Members are taught to believe the act of sex will get them in on God’s good side, and hopefully into heaven itself. It is about ritual and duty … and the “cleansing of original sin”.

I know that the majority of the women in the UC are not married to the man they love, but to the man they were conned into marrying. I know way too many “sisters” in the church for whom sex is not something they want because it is devoid of real love. I know way too many children in the UC who were not conceived in the love between a real husband and a real wife.

Some couples have grown to love each other, but they are in the minority. Duty and fear of losing the “salvation” Moon offered, and fear of damnation in the spirit world, can be strong factors in keeping couples together who would otherwise divorce.

Other couples have decided to stay together, sometimes for the love of their children, although they would never have chosen each other.

Then the UC seeks to gain and maintain control over the “blessed children” encouraging them to go to church and workshops, where they are taught to fear “falling” and any thoughts of sex. The children are often told that their own parents failed – and that they should only respect “True Parents”. The UC wants them as the next generation of witnessers and fundraisers to sustain their Korean empire.

Moon said to second generation members in Korea in the mid 1990s: “Your parents are like used tampons”.

The smell should have been the first sign, but it was the voice that did it.

Riza looked around the employee parking lot for the source, but there was no one in sight.

“Hello?” she called out.

“What the fuck?” her closed mouth said.

A car honked outside the window. She could smell bleach and fresh laundry. She was driving a car with hands tipped in chipped blue nail polish. She was in the middle of the ocean.

“Oh my God,” her mouth said, only her mouth had braces in it.

“Am I hallucinating?” she asked the dolphin swimming past her. Her voice was a low and brassy baritone.

“What the fuck?” she said again. Her hand was gripping a paint-wet table.

“Do you not hear that?” she asked a tired-looking woman in a uniform. The name tag on her T-shirt read Peggy. She read it through wide-rimmed glasses.

“Oh my God—”

“Did the barista fucking drug my coffee—”

“I’m losing it—”

“What is this?”

“I need to pull over—”

Riza slammed on the brakes of the car she wasn’t driving.

“Vivian? You okay, doll?”

“Mommy, what’s wrong with the tour guide?”

“Okay, what the fuck is wrong with me?” Riza asked the parking lot.

And then the parking lot wasn’t there. She was standing in blue-toned shadows, a massive wall of water to her left, blinking at a group of people. The people blinked back and clutched little pamphlets to their chests, looking at her like she’d grown two heads.

She hadn’t. She was pretty sure of this. But her body felt strange. She was taller, for one. Bulkier too. This body had more muscle in it. And when she opened her mouth—only she didn’t open her mouth, because this mouth was different—her voice was a low and solid thud in the hushed, cavernous hall.

“I’m sorry,” this new, strange mouth said. “I’m not feeling well all of a sudden. If you wouldn’t mind waiting here for a few minutes, I can go get another tour guide to take you the rest of the way.”

The people nodded slowly, too bewildered to even think to offer help.

Seola X Soobin = Seolbin, this ship is one of the funniest in my opinion because they are obviously each other’s ideal type but Soobin vehemently denies that Seola is her ideal type, even after describing her ideal type as someone who was just like Seola. Bona X Xuan Yi = Boxuan, this ship is adorable, these two are so cute together, and they form one of the bigger ships in the group. Xuan Yi in a V LIVE Uzzu Tape even referred to Bona as her boyfriend, which Bona tried to clarify that she was her girlfriend not her boyfriend. Boxuan is just these two cuties being cute, it’s just adorable, ship it, love it. 

Bona X Luda = Bonlu, this ship is putting two smols together, but the twist is, one of the smols pretends not to like the other one, and that smol is Luda. Luda is lovingly referred to as the “Pocket Satan” or “Pocket Devil” based on her smol size and level of savagery. In this ship she tends to be the one that picks on Bona. Between Bonlu and Boxuan some people will fight to the death over which one is real or which one is better, but they’re both adorable in their own ways.

Bona X Eunseo = 2yeon, this ship isn’t the same as the Twice ship 2yeon and it comes from Bona and Eunseo’s real names. Bona’s real name being Jiyeon and Eunseo’s being Juyeon, therefore they create 2yeon. These two nag and pick on each other, but in a loving way. Xuan Yi X Mei Qi = Lesbian Chinese Billionaires, this ship or should I say power couple came about as a joke whenever an ujung posted a photo on twitter that made it seem as if Xuan Yi and Mei Qi were lesbian chinese billionaires that had married, making them the richest couple in the world (even though it was a photo for their movie release) and the internet lost its shit mind. I’m not sure of the actual name of the ship but if you just mention the chinese lesbian billionaires, everyone will know its these two. 

Eunseo X Cheng Xiao = Eunxiao, this ship may very well be one of the biggest, if not the biggest ship in WJSN. It is adorable. The interactions between these two will make you smile without you even noticing it. Although Eunseo comes off as a fuckboy a little strong sometimes, she means well and seems like she goes out of her way just to make Cheng Xiao smile. Eunseo and Cheng Xiao got close initially because Eunseo helped Cheng Xiao with learning Korean and still helps her out. Do yourself a favor and just search the tag “Eunxiao” on here, it will give you everything you need.

Eunseo X Luda = Eunlu or Lunseo, this ship consists of the tallest member and the smallest member of the group, and their height difference is adorable. The tol and smol are often seen hugging and being cute together. Eunseo tends to take care of Luda since she’s smol and despite being nicknamed “Pocket Satan” Luda is rarely, if ever, mean or reveals her savage nature towards Eunseo. 

Yeoreum X Dayoung X Yeonjung = 99 Line, this ship isn’t really a ship, but these three kids are cute with each other, they tend to pick on each other, but they’re showing love in their own unique way. Xuan Yi X Cheng Xiao X Mei Qi = The Chinity, this ship like the one mentioned above, isn’t really a ship, but more of a pairing. The name comes from the fact that these members are the Chinese members and make up the part of a Holy Trinity and have therefore been dubbed “The Chinity” In WJSN’s recent MV “Happy” they have a moment together and the ujungs went wild over it.
