If You Had Three Wishes...
This is one of my favorite questions that I always ask my students. Their answers are telling, innocent, and imaginative. The responses I receive include “one billion, trillion dollars,” “bring my dog back from the dead,” “a Barbie dream house,” and “my family living in our own house.” It is also a question I have mulled over for years. The first wish I would make has been solidified for some…

Part of the reason we are seeing so much division between the sects of our sex is young western RFs pick and choose what is appealing from our ForeMothers. A crucial pillar which many young, online RFs deny is identifying heterosexuality as a political institution; the idea that where we invest our emotional and intimate energy matters, that it doesn't make sense to invest in men when men are the problem and women are the solution, that male sexual control over women has been strengthened as women have achieved more independence from men. By recognizing heterosexuality as a political insitution which upholds male supremacy by isolating us from other women, preventing us from identifying men as the enemy, and draining our energy, it so follows that lesbianism is the radical opposite. A woman-identified woman.
The way I understand it is this:
Loving yourself as a woman ought to be inherently apolitical, however under patriarchy it is a radical and political act.
Loving and centering other women ought to be inherently apolitical, however under patriarchy it is a radical and political act.
Rejecting these notions has led to pervasive cognitive dissonance among young RFs. There is an overwhelming amount of support for Korean RFs and yet those very supporters ruthlessly denounce the principles behind it. Similarly there is no meaningful distinction between "FebFem" and political lesbian, yet one is popular and the other is the target of harassment.
It is threatening to question whether sexuality is innate as many lesbians take that as a softening of their No's. However it was well known among older feminists that the nature of sexuality could be used to women's benefit. All feminists can be lesbians.
lesbianism is not a political institution, it’s an innate sexual orientation, anyone who claims their sexuality “changed” is just bisexual. febfems acknowledge they are bisexual women who made the choice not to be with men. political lesbians claim lesbianism is a choice and actively antagonize lesbians and shame them for being sexually attracted to women, this is what happens when political lesbians try to control the narrative around lesbians
as far as I know SK feminists don’t endorse political lesbianism and instead focus their lives on other women and themselves. I think it’s absolutely horrible to tell straight women they should “become” lesbians and maybe instead focus on the fact that women can absolutely live happy and fulfilled lives without men or convincing themselves they are lesbians like you are suggesting here. this is why a lot of lesbians are hesitant to be in radfem spaces, we are fully aware your movement was started by lesbophobic women who call themselves “political lesbians”

Artist: Choi Sangchul
This past Art Basel Hong Kong, while having dimsum with friends, Joanne Lim, Founder and Director of J&S International Art Project, shows me this youtube video clip of a guy making art by rolling around a stone. This immediately caught my attention, and lucky me! I happen to be flying to Seoul the following week.
So Joanne picked me up at the hotel and we drove about an hour outside of the city to the Korean countryside where we pulled off onto a gravel road and up to this brown nondescript building. Here, we were greeted by a 5ft tall, older Korean gentleman with wispy white hair and speaks at just slightly above a whisper.
Choi Sangchul was a professor to university students of western oil paintings for many years. Even while he taught full time, he was very studious about creating art and through regimented practice, developed his own artist voice. And since retirement from teaching, he is now dedicated to his paintings. He has set hours where he works and keeps tedious records of his progress.
We enter into his spotless studio where there were several stacks of paintings. Mr Choi with the help of Joanne’s translations starts telling me about his practice. I think we started with his more traditional Korean abstract paintings from the 80′s. At a mighty 5 ft, this man lifts paintings two times his size as if they were paper...actually, i thought it was paper. Boy was I wrong! It’s acrylic ink on linen!! He stretches the canvases himself AND he doesn’t use a paint brush!! 🤔
In Choi’s older works, he uses deliberately planned strokes and more colors.
As Mr. Choi pulls away layers, the paintings become more contemporary and it’s clear that he has become very established in his style. Mr. Choi has created for himself a very disciplined process to create art in order to eliminate the human ego from the paining process as much as possible. He creates a type of stroke with an object (stone, stick, wire) in sketch form on paper, and then executes them on canvas. Creating the marks, he leaves somewhat up to chance, sometimes as simply as flipping a coin, but always in repetitions of 1000.
Sketches of possible future paintings

It was an honor to meet Mr. Choi and visit his studio. What’s next? We hope to bring Mr. Choi’s work to the United States and work with US based galleries and insitutions, so more people can see more of his works. :) Want to know more? Please contact us for more information!

Zbigniew Brzezinski
Miembros Directivos del Council on Foreign Relations:
Entre los miembros directivos, destaca la presencia de personajes ligados al monje negro de la élite, Henry Kissinger, y los líderes de los principales fondos de inversión financieros del mundo: BlackRock y Blackstone, con enlaces a la Casa Rothschild.

Royal Institute of International Affairs de Londres (Chatam House)
2005 Presidente Viktor Yushchenko (Ucrania) 2006 Presidente Joaquim Chissano (Mozambique) 2007 Mozah bint Nasser al-Missned (Catar) 2008 Presidente John Kufuor (Ghana) 2009 Presidente Lula da Silva (Brasil) 2010 Presidente Abdullah Gül Turquía) 2011 Líder de la oposición birmana Aung San Suu Kyi (Myanmar) 2012 Presidente Moncef Marzouki y Rachid Ghanuchi (Túnez) 2013 Secretaria de Estado Hillary Rodham Clinton (Estados Unidos) 2014 Melinda Gates (Estados Unidos) 2015 Médicos Sin Fronteras (Francia) 2016 John Kerry y Mohammad Yavad Zarif (Estados Unidos) e (Irán), respectivamente.

By Chance [Lee Felix :: Fluff]
Requested: Anon
Member: Lee Felix
Plot: Can I request a scenario where Stray Kids are out for a meal or something and the reader sort of falls in the restaurant and everyone stares at her because she’s low-key a clumsy mess and Felix can’t help but stare at her and find her cute and hears her speak English with her friends and is like “whAt?! 😍” and it ends really fluffily with cute shit?? (Idk if that was weirdly specific this happened to me the other day and I just imagined Stray Kids being there lol)
Genre: Fluff
Note: First of all this is the cutest freakin request I’ve ever received Secondly this took me like five ever I’m so sorry ^^’’’
•Tonight the boys were so super excited
•Well except Chan
•The boys had went out to another arcade and guess who lost
•das right your boy Chan (save this poor boy’s wallet)
•But that’s not the point
•The boys had decided to go out to a korean barbeque place for dinner because why not
•”Eat well guys Chan hyunggie is paying!” *Que Chan regretfully sinking further into this chair while the boys cheer*
•Once the food arrived along with their coca cola the boys got lost in eating along with their playful chatter and banter
•But for course they weren’t they only ones at the restaurant
•There was people varying for old couples, to business people, teenagers and your occasional drunken couple or groups of friends
•They never bothered to pay attention to the others though considering they had always managed to drown them out
•But tonight was different
•a group of friends had walked in ,seemingly playful considering their chatter and giggles that sounding through the restaurant
•though they weren’t loud enough to catch Stray kids attention as a whole
•Felix’s attention was drawn to them first, having not found interest in what the other boys were talking about
•He was about to turn his attention back to his friends till on of them had managed to trip and fall
•although he didn’t wanna laugh he couldn’t help but smile slightly at the predicament that had just happened in front of him
•”That was so embarrassing!”
•His ears perked at the string of english that had spilled out of the person’s lips
•He had originally thought they were cute to begin with but just hearing them speak english made them even more adorable
•Like adorable to the point Felix actually wanted to go up to them and just have a nice conversation
•Which was ultimately impossible
•Because he was out with his friends and they were out with their friends
•In general the meeting would be sort of awkward
•I mean unless his members caught him staring
•and unluckily for Felix they did
•”Guys I think Felix has eyes from so one who isn’t Changbin~”
•Seungmin was the first to throw him under the bus causing a chorus of laughs and a decent amount of protest from Felix to sound through the table
•”Come on Felix just talk to them~Or are you nervous”
•Jisung coaxed jokingly not actually think Felix would do it
•Shooting a challenging glare at the boy Felix got of of his chair and started to make his way towards the persons table
•In all honesty the closer he got to their table the more he started to freak out
•Like in all honesty he thought his members would stop him and tell him to sit back down
•But no they just sat back and watched in amusement
•Once he finally go to the table he had no effing idea what to say it was just pure awkwardness as all heads slowly moved towards his direction
•”U-Uum hey.”
•Felix wanted nothing more but to just smack himself right then and there for stuttering
•”Oh hello? I’m sorry were we to loud?”
•”N-no I just wanted to know if you were alright… C-cause y-you not I saw you fall back there.”
•Instinctually his hand found the nap of his neck and he began to shyly scratch at the skin
•But this time it was your turn for your face to get red
•”Oh that… I’m fine thanks for asking though.”
•Once you shot him a shy smile arrows went shooting through his heart
•Like how is one so adorable without trying
•”N-no problem.”
•He took a glance back at his table and he knew he was not allowed to come back unless he actually had a conversation with you
•”Hey I knew this is kinda straight forward but…If you don’t mind would you like to go a date with me.”
•At this point you were literally so surprised because
•one a hella cute boy just asked you if you were okay
•and two because that hella cute boy had just asked you out on a date
•”b-But you don’t have to.”
•quickly snapping out of your daze you quickly accepted his reply and before you know it you were exchanging a numbers with him
• afterwards you both bid goodbyes and went back to doing your own things with your friends
•Thought Felix couldn’t help but glance at you occasionally because you were just so adorable to him
•At one point yall just lowkey caught each other staring and all you could do was blush and look away before making more shy eye contact
•Once it came time for Felix to leave he failed to have you leave his mind that whole night
•He didn’t even mind the teasing he was receiving from the boys cause like unlike them he had your number
•The next day he’s literally freaking out because he doesn’t exactly know what kind of person you are
•like were you the type of person that perfered a chill date or one that liked going out places like the amusement park or movies
•”Why don’t you just text them??”
•”ARe YoU OuT of YoUr minD?!”
•In the end Felix decided to just kinda have it be a chill date
•because he wasn’t about to spend money he didn’t have just to impress you
•He picked you up you up at your apartment and dressed nicely in his jeans, graphic t-shirt and black bomber jacket
•and when he saw you he had to stop himself from letting his jaw drop
•You were dressed simply in black shorts and a graphic t-shirt pulled back into a knot making it more fitting
•”You look nice.”
•”T-Thanks.”
•He shot you a smile as he watched you step out of your apartment
•Felix didn’t tell you much about the party besides the fact he was taking you to the movie theater and even then he didn’t bother to tell you what you both were watching
•till literally right before the movie started he decided to ask you a question
•”So how do you feel about horror movies?”
•and upon seeing you visibly tense he couldn’t help but chuckle a little
•”Don’t worry I gotcha if it’s to scary.”
•Your heart couldn’t help but skip a beat a little at his words as you suck further into your seat a light blush dusting your cheeks
•During the movie you stole a glance at Felix admiring his features a little before looking back at the screen a fuzzy feeling tickling your tummy
•and once the movie had managed to scare you, insitutally you latched onto Felix, burying your face into his side to take shelter from the scary scene Felix would softly tell you it passed
•But at one point you just got a little bit too shaken up and didn’t respond to Felix
•”The scary parts over now.”
•He whispered softly again running this fingers gently through your hair
•This time you shook your head
•Felix understood what you met and didn’t bother to press further, instead he chose to comfort you instead by either running this hands thru your hair or by comfortingly running his hand up and down your back
•At one point you realized the situation you both were in and the same fuzzy feeling came back
•Like you had literally met him not even a day ago and he was already making your heart flutter
•Once the movie ended Felix nudged you lightly allowing you to detach yourself from him
•”You alright?”
•”I’m fine.”
•”Really you were holding on pretty tightly.” Felix joked enjoying the blush that became apparent on your face
•”I’m kidding, come on let’s go.”
•Nodding you got up allowing Felix to hold your hand on the way out
•and once you both left the theater you were both greeted with a gust of cold wind
•you noticeably shivered and Felix slipped off his coat with ease and placed it around your shoulders not uttering a word to you
•and when you looked at him all he did was shoot you a small smile before placing his arm around your shoulder pulling you closer as you both walked together
•Since it was getting late anyways Felix had decided to just hit up a cafe with you and have same small talk with you there before walking you back to your apartment
•”Soo how was today~” he teasingly asked not expecting much
•”it was really nice, thanks for dealing with me during the movies.”
•”it’s no big deal I thought it was super cute anyways.”
•a smiled grazed his lips hearing you get flustered once again, as light giggle slipping through your lips
•”alright I guess I better get going,see you soon.”
•”Goodnight Felix.”
•”Goodnight (y/n), remember to dream about me~
•Rolling your eyes playfull you waved goodbye before closing you door
•you slipped off your shoes and tugged off the coat on your shoulders
•it took you awhile to realize that wasn’t yours but you didn’t bother to try chasing after him
•instead you smiled to yourself and placed in onto a hanger knowing now he had a reason to comeback

I wanted to share that violence against women occurs in all races. Let us start with Asian women. According to Asain Pacific Insitute of Gender-Based Violence “ 21 – 55% of Asian women in the U.S. report experiencing intimate physical and/or sexual violence during their lifetime”. Also, the article states that “ 18% of Asian or Pacific Islander women reported experiencing rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime in a national survey, as compared to 48% of American Indians or Alaska Native women, 45% of Black women, 34% of Hispanic women, and 37% of White women”. Women of all races and nationalities deal with violence. Even though Asain women and Pacific Islander women deal with it the least they still need our support. Our society needs to be aware that all races of women have their own level of violence. American Indian women clearly suffer the most. 48% of American Indian women deal with some type of violence in their lifetime. Our society needs to be doing more to help these women who are at a high risk of violence. White women do suffer from violence, but so do Black, Asian, and Hispanic women. The Asain Pacific Insitute of Gender-Based Violence also states that “ 68% of Filipinas and 50% of Indian and Pakistani abused women reported being stalked by an intimate partner “. Other groups of women are also being subjected to violence and we need to be aware of that. We should focus on trying to help other minority groups. We can’t overlook them because of their race wed need to support them.
The last couple of facts I wanted to share by The Asain Pacific Insitute of Gender-Based Violence is that “ Of 607 Asian respondents, the top explanations for why family violence happens were that the husband wants power, domination, and control (72 responded this way) and that he is frustrated/has anger (67 responded this way). Overall, family violence is overwhelmingly perceived as the personal problem of the husband.22% of Cambodians, 18% of Chinese, 29% of Korean, 5% of South Asian, and 9% of Vietnamese men and women said that a woman who is being abused should not tell anyone about the abuse. We definitely as a global community need to change our attitude of violence against women. Women should be encouraged to speak up and not be afraid to leave their husbands. Violence against women is all about power and control. Women need to take their power back. Just because our communities silence these women. Activists should speak up for them. Violence against women includes all races. All women are threatened with violence and culture of don’t ask don’t tell. We should be changing that by trying to end violence against women.

The top nine reasons to visit Houston in 2019
(CNN) — From its integral role in the world’s first moon landing 50 years ago this July to a new lineup of appealing options in the arts and culinary scenes, Houston has never been more ripe for exploration.
It wins in the aesthetics department, too: The much-photographed skyline is dotted with skyscrapers in architectural styles ranging from Art Deco to minimalist, and this city of more than 2.3 million residents — the country’s fourth largest — has countless green spaces and parks for running, biking or simply unwinding under the big Texas sky.
The downtown Houston skyline is dotted with skyscrapers in a variety of architectural styles.
Visit Houston
While the greater Houston area is sprawling, many of the top travel attractions are concentrated in downtown. Tourists can get around this part of town by relying on the efficient Metro Rail system, but they’ll need a car to venture farther afield.
Coupled with its remarkable turnaround from 2017’s Hurricane Harvey, which caused an estimated $1.5 billion worth of damage to the city and forced thousands to be evacuated, Houston is hands down a must-visit destination this year.
Here’s what to do when you go to Houston with nine of its biggest travel draws:
Space
Space Center Houston
Situated in the Greater Houston area, this 250,000-square-foot homage to all things space should be at the top of the list for every tourist. “Visit Space Center Houston to experience the heart of human space exploration,” says William T. Harris, its president and CEO.
Space Center Houston is one of the city’s premier attractions. Visitors can easily spend half a day exploring the space-related artifacts and more.
Courtesy Space Center Houston
The Space Center Houston is also the official visitor’s center for the NASA Johnson Space Center, located across the street and home to the Mission Control Room, from which Apollo 11 — that incredible moon landing — and other missions were monitored.
Space Center Houston admission is $29.95 and includes a tram tour to see Johnson Space Center. It’s easy to pass a half day or more here. Space Center Houston has an impressive collection of space-related artifacts including multiple flown spacecrafts such as the Apollo 17 command module, used in the last manned mission to the moon in 1972. The center also has the world’s largest collection of moon rocks on public display.
Johnson’s Space Center Mission Control Room is being restored and wil be open to the public in July 2019.
NASA
Johnson Space Center, a National Historic Landmark, is undergoing a restoration of the Mission Control Room. When the restored room reopens in July, visitors will be able to see the room exactly as it was during Apollo 11, complete with the illuminated black-and-white screens on the control room consoles displaying video from the world-famous mission. On display will be the actual consoles that flight controllers used to monitor the moon landing.
Space City Month
In July, Houston will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 with a series of events around town. Space Center Houston is hosting a variety of Apollo-themed events, including a Thought Leader Series where NASA experts will talk about the historic feats of the Apollo era and the future of human space exploration. The Space Center will also host a “Space On-Screen” film series showing space-related films.
On July 20, the day of the actual moon landing, the center will be open for extended hours and have a packed schedule of events during the day and throughout the evening.
While details are still being worked out, various venues in the city are also hosting events for Space City Month, according to Leah Shah, a representative from Visit Houston. A few restaurants and bars are expected to offer space-themed cocktails and food menus.
The arts
The recently opened Menil Drawing Insitute claims to be the world’s first freestanding building dedicated to modern and contemporary drawings.
Richard Barnes/Menil Collection Houston
Menil Drawing Institute
Part of The Menil Collection, a 30-acre microneighborhood of art within the Montrose neighborhood, Menil Drawing Institute opened in November to much fanfare and has since gotten international acclaim from art world critics and heavy hitters.
It claims to be the world’s first freestanding building dedicated to modern and contemporary drawings, and according to spokesman Tommy Napier, was built for their acquisition, study, exhibition, conservation and storage.
The 30,000-square-foot institute hosts rotating drawing exhibitions, which change every three to four months. Its second exhibition opens February 15 and is dedicated to drawings by Roni Horn, a renowned visual artist who resides and works in New York and Iceland.
Also, the building is as notable as the art inside: Designed by Los Angeles-based architect Johnston Marklee, it’s constructed of white steel and is covered in some parts by cypress trees, giving it an outdoorsy feel. Built around three courtyards lined with lush magnolia and oak trees, it’s not a bad place to while away a couple of hours.
The Menil Collection itself is comprised of a main building with special exhibitions and a diverse permanent collection that includes works by Matisse and Picasso and three other museum buildings: one dedicated to the artist Cy Twombly, another to the artist Dan Flavin and the third to year-long installation works.
Museum of Fine Arts Houston
At a sprawling 14 acres, this museum is the largest cultural institution in the Southwest. Thanks to a $450 million expansion, which will be completed sometime in 2020, it’s going to get even bigger and will include a 164,000-square-foot building for modern and contemporary art.
But travelers don’t need to wait for this project to be finished to make a visit because there’s already plenty of renowned art to see.
The museum’s collection of more than 70,000 objects comes from all world cultures, dating from antiquity to present. It includes notable American art such as Georgia O’Keefe paintings, European paintings including works by Rembrandt and Goya, Pre-Columbian and African gold, photography, prints and drawings, 20th- and 21st-century paintings and sculptures and Latin American art. General admission is $17.
There’s plenty of art on display outside of Houston’s museums, too. Case in point is this large mural by graffiti artist GONZO247. Located in downtown Houston, it showcases a few of the things Houston is best known for.
Visit Houston
Holocaust Museum Houston
The nation’s fourth largest Holocaust Museum will more than double in size from, 21,000 to 57,000 square feet, when it reopens on June 22, following a nearly $50 million expansion. It’s going to be the country’s first fully bilingual English and Spanish Holocaust museum and will grow from one to four permanent galleries.
In addition to its already existing Bearing Witness Holocaust gallery, which is full of artifacts from before, during and after the Holocaust (a 1942 railcar that transported Jewish people to concentration camps in Germany is a highlight), a new human rights gallery will have displays of all UN-recognized genocides.
Following its expansion, the Holocaust Museum Houston will be the country’s fourth-largest Holocaust Museum.
Courtesy Holocaust Museum Houston
The second new gallery will display artwork by the Holocaust child survivor and painter Samuel Bak, and the third will focus on the writings of 18 young diarists, including Anne Frank, who died in genocides around the world. The museum will also host traveling exhibitions. General admission is $15, but free admission is extended to children and students.
Theater District
This 17-block district in downtown Houston saw heavy flooding from Hurricane Harvey but is now back to its former glory. There are more than a dozen theaters here, ranging from small, independent houses to grand stages. The Wortham Theater Center, home to the Houston Grand Opera and the Houston Ballet, is the largest and has two performing halls: the 2,400-seat Brown Theater and the 1,000-seat Cullen Theater.
No matter the season, the Wortham hosts performances almost daily. One of the most highly anticipated shows this year, held from April 20 to May 5, is Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” which is a co-production with the prestigious Royal Opera House in London.
Eating and drinking
Dish Society in the recently opened Finn Hall serves hearty, comfort fare such as chicken and biscuits with gravy.
Courtesy Dish Society Chicken and Biscuits
Food halls
Food halls are all the rage in Houston. Three are opening this year alone, while a fourth, Finn Hall, opened in December 2018. At 20,000-square-feet, it sits in downtown Houston and is home to 10 restaurants and two bars. All the vendors are locally based, and the choices are diverse. Dish Society, for example, serves farm-to-table American cuisine, such as chicken and biscuits, while Yong serves classic Korean dishes.
Lyric Market, slated for a fall opening, is in Houston’s Theater District and will have restaurants, specialty food purveyors, al fresco dining terraces, a 4,000- square-foot rooftop deck and an underground speakeasy.
Luis Ayala/Ayala Vargas Photography
Bravery Hall, scheduled to open in February in downtown Houston, will house five chef-driven restaurants and feature a molecular cocktail bar and a spacious patio. Lyric Market, slated for a fall opening, is in Houston’s Theater District and will have restaurants, specialty food purveyors, al fresco dining terraces, a 4,000-square-foot rooftop deck and an underground speakeasy.
Understory at Capitol Tower, a 35,000-square-foot project inside Capitol Tower’s two-story atrium in downtown, is the largest of the food halls and opening this summer. It will house a full-service restaurant, seven chef-driven fast casual spots and a cocktail bar. The hall is connected to the city’s seven-mile underground tunnel system and is expected to be an aesthetic showpiece that has white marble and copper finishes as well as walls with murals painted by local artists.
The Gas station cuisine
Houston’s gas stations aren’t just for fueling up. Many, such as Sunrise Taquito, are actually dining destinations in their own right.
Adrian Samano/Visit Houston
No, we’re not joking here: Houston gets bragging rights for having top-brass gas station cuisine, and more and more notable eateries at gas stations continue to open. While the gas station joint culture has been around for several years, it’s only now getting some national fame. The food is ridiculously tasty and incredibly inexpensive. Don’t try to compare it to standard fast food because the quality is incomparable. On top of which, the portions are huge.
Some highlights include:
— The family-run Sunrise Taquito at a Shell station in Washington Corridor. It serves fresh, made-to-order breakfasts. The chorizo and eggs taquitos, and the various breakfast plates with flour tortillas, refried beans and fried potatoes, are favorites.
Serving up made-to-order breakfasts (try the chorizo and egg taquitos), Sunrise Taquito is much, much more than a last resort gas station meal.
Adrian Samano/Visit Houston
— Ekko’s Greek Deli at a Valero station in Uptown is a staple for Houston’s Greek immigrants and is known for its gyros, hummus and baklava.
— The Shawarma Stop at a Shell station in the Museum District turns out delicious chicken and beef shawarma stuffed inside a pita and a variety of tender kebabs including ground beef and beef chunks.
The 12 James Beard Award-nominated restaurants
The James Beard awards are the Oscars of the culinary world, and Houston snagged an eyebrow-raising dozen nominations last year.
Travelers should check out at least one of these nationally recognized restaurants when they’re in town, and they’re spoiled for choices.
There’s Xochi, an airy spot in downtown that turns out Oaxacan inspired dishes and was nominated for Best New Restaurant (its chef, Hugo Ortega, won the James Beard for Best Chef in the Southwest in 2017).
For food with an ethnic flair, check out Crawfish & Noodles, serving Cajun and Vietnamese dishes; chef Trong Nguyen was nominated for Best Chef in the Southwest.
If you go:
Although the Greater Houston area has nearly 900 hotels, travelers will have the best access to the city’s highlights by choosing accommodations in one of three main neighborhoods: the Museum District, ideal for culture seekers; downtown, home to top restaurants and nightlife; and the Galleria area, which is a prime shopping destination.
These are only nine of the many reasons to plan a trip to Houston now. Once there, travelers will undoubtedly discover many more to add to the list.

NEWS - February 19 2017
Train to Busan’ star Gong Yoo tops brand reputation list, reveals future plans after tvN’s ‘Goblin’
Gong Yoo’s popularity has risen to another level following the tremendous success of the tvN drama “Goblin.” The 37-year-old actor, who starred as the titular character in the 16-episode fantasy series, is this month’s reputational champ.
On Feb. 18, Saturday, the Korean Business Research Institute released the brand reputation rankings among film actors for the month of February. To come up with the list, they compiled 72,745,586 pieces of data for the period of Jan. 16 until Feb. 17, Friday. The said data included the actors’ brand notoriety index, media coverage, communication, and community.
Gong topped the brand reputation list with a total score of 10,728,767, pushing Jo In Sung and Yoo Hae Jin to the second and third spot, respectively, according to data from the Korean Business Research Insitute, as cited by Soompi. “The Producers’” Kim Soo Hyun came in fourth place, while “The Legend of the Blue Sea’s” Jun Ji Hyun and “The King’s” Jung Woo Sung is in the fifth and sixth spot.
The “Tunnel” actor Ha Jung-Woo came in seventh place along with Kang Dong Won and Lee Byung Hun in the eighth and ninth spot, respectively. Hwang Jung Min, who recently made his big screen comeback through Lee II-Hyeong’s “A Violent Prosecutor,” rounded out the top 10.
Even though Gong’s tvN drama ended more than three weeks ago, the actor still enjoys tremendous popularity abroad. He has received several fan meeting offers from 15 different countries, including the United States, Australia, Japan and China. Gong, however, had fully booked his schedule until March.
“Currently, Gong Yoo is extremely busy filming for commercials,” a representative from Management Soop said in a statement obtained by Korea Boo. “We think he will be taking a break away from schedules from mid-March and onwards.”
The representative added that the actor will use this opportunity to figure out what he wants to do next. While nothing is set in stone yet, there is a high possibility that his next project will be a movie rather than a TV drama.

Five Blockchain Projects Making Massive Strides in Real-world Partnerships Throughout 2018
Five Blockchain Projects Making Massive Strides in Real-world Partnerships Throughout 2018
Many people believe blockchain technology today doesn’t currently have real-world use cases or any tangible value being created from its adoption. Well, throughout 2018, these five projects have made great strides in blockchain technology becoming more widely adopted and advancing in that direction, the first of which is:
1) Ethereum
Ethereum is backed by the Ethereum Enterprise Alliance (EEA) that originally formed with the support of corporations and institutions seeking to adopt Ethereum’s blockchain into their business practices such as Accenture, CME Group, ConsenSys, IC3, Intel, J.P. Morgan, Microsoft, and many other enterpise insitutions.
Since the Alliance formed in 2017, they have added many more corporations into their midsts including Mitsubishi, Deloitte, Samsung SDS, Infosys, and the National Bank of Canada. The Ethereum Enterprise Alliance’s goal is to connect Fortune 500 companies, startups, and government institutions with Ethereum developers and experts to incorporate the adoption and use of the Ethereum network to better business practies and commercial development. Today the Ethereum Alliance group boasts over 300 members.
2) Ripple
Ripple is a blockchain project designed to connect and link banks, payment providers, digital exchanges, and corporations to work together.
Ripple is the leading project that has collaborated to form strategic partnerships with some of the biggest banks around the world such as; Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Santander, UBS, CIBC, National Bank of Abu Dhabi(NBAD), Standard Chartered, National Australia Bank (NAB), Siam Commercial Bank and Shanghai Huarui Bank.
Focusing on a strong growing list of banks, Ripple also has started to establish strong ties with payment processors, exchanges, and remittance services such as Western Union.
3) HyperLedger
HyperLedger is an open source effort for enterprise institutions and corporations to support the further development and adoption of blockchain technology in business applications.
To date Hyperledger has over 250 members including Accenture, Deloitte, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Huawei, Intel, IBM, Moscow Exchange, SAP, Samsung SDS, Xiaomi, Cisco, and more.
HyperLedger’s goal is to support the development of enterprise-grade and cross-industry platforms to utilize open distributed ledger technology. By having regular workshops, conferences, and building out extensive research and educational documentation, HyperLedger envisions that the sharing of knowledge and insights will accelerate the rate of blockchain development and adoption.
Hyperledger intends to supply the necessary framework, standards, and the support necessary to build better open sourced blockchains that become widely adopted throughout major organisations, such as those involved in their consortium.
4) Vechain

These companies are not merely testing out Blocko’s blockchain technology but have actually already implemented and are currently utilizing it throughout their business operations. How about that for blockchain adoption! Blocko is considered to be one of the most active and advanced enterprise blockchain solution providers currently in the blockchain space and seek to expand their offerings with a public blockchain in AERGO.
With blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies taking the world by storm throughout 2018, there is little doubt that national governments, Fortune 500 companies, and big to small enterprise corporations are keeping an eye out for how blockchain can possibly improve their business practices.

4) Vechain
