They are on my Google Drive [here]. (You can open an incognito window if you'd like. You do not have to be logged in or have a Google account to access them). If you can't find one you love, please feel free to send me an ask or message; I'm happy to help you! ♥ I hope you enjoy! (More options under the cut).
Tumblr media
Credits: These are made from glee screenshots, glee promo images, a few screencaps from @jauntilyplacedcaps, my own photos and artwork, and commercial use stock photos.
Please note that in Google Drive, they look fuzzy and pixelated because they are shown previewed MUCH LARGER than they actually are! When you download it and upload it to AO3, it's going to look perfect! They are all exactly 100x100 pixels, which is what you need. Also, make sure you are looking at them in tile view (you can toggle that on in the upper right). No credit required.

Yes Stranger Things can make queer history
Growing up, queer people were not common in television. Glee was a rare exception. I had the chance to grow up with this show. Kurt and Santana were icons, diversity was everywhere in every forms, Klaine and Brittana were loved ships. Plus, both couples married at the end of the show. Glee was also a hit show.
However, Stranger Things can do something that Glee never did. Brittany, Santana's love interest, only appears in episode 2 of season 1. Blaine, Kurt's love interest, appears in season 2 (only to be have this role tbh). Mike and Will appear at the same time, in season 1 episode 1, in the first 5 minutes of the show, and even have the first ever one-to-one conversation. Both are main characters. None of them are side characters.
If you trust the Duffers enough, you know that they planned this from the beginning. That Mike and Will always meant to be a couple, from season 1, episode 1, minute 1.
Glee is only one example. There are many shows with queer characters who are side characters and/or only there to be a love interest.
This is why Byler is important. For queer people, queer history, television history. Furthermore, the fact that this is supposed to be a plot-twist is absolutely genuine.
If Mileven win at the end, it will be a huge loss, the worst mistake ever made. For queer people and television. A big win for misogyny and bigotry. And we all know too well that it's not the message the Duffers want to share.
As a queer person, a Byler happy ending would mean more than words can describe.
So yes. Stranger Things can make queer history.

Kurt's fashion sense while attending Dalton
I was comparing some outfits from S2 when I noticed Kurt seems to stop accessorizing his Dalton uniform after Special Education - which makes a lot of sense with the main Kurt plot of that episode, with Blaine advising him to fit in with the Warblers (and Dalton.) Kurt's individuality takes a blow and it has lasting effects, until the end of the arc, on his main self expression: his fashion.
The Dalton arc taking place over the winter (okay, well, from November to Spring, to be more precise) gives Kurt an excellent chance and excuse to still show off his wardrobe through winter coats and scarfs (which he loves!), but he notably does not take it and chooses to make the uniform the center piece of his ensembles, rather than trying to style over it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first non-uniform outfit (generous wording) we see from him is in The Sue Sylvester Shuffle. He seems to have a very straightforward goal: match Blaine, who at this time wears some of the most unoffending and average outfits on the show. His style (if you can call it that) is less preppy at this time (with the exception of the black polo shirt in PQ) and more of a cross section of socially acceptable and loosely in style. A lot of jeans and neutral, dark colors.
The scarves they wear here still sport the Dalton colors - navy blue and red. Even Kurt's coat seems to be a dark shade of blue (from what I can tell.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
S1 doesn't have a lot of winter clothes to compare to (it doesn't help they are mostly indoors, so I have a hard time deciding how much functionality these coats have and if he would layer anything over these) but these would be the ones I'd like to highlight to properly contrast Dalton!Kurt with - from Wheels (this seems to be same coat though?), Sectionals and Hell-O - where the overall look is much more fashionable and are the kind of coats and accessories I'd assume he would still choose. Perhaps even more extravagant, since he has very little legspace to express himself now, being stuck in the uniform (that he finds unflattering!)
But the lack of hat is honestly surprising to me, as a side note.
I don't even have to theorize too much about what I'd have expected Kurt's winter fashion to look like when attending Dalton, because the show does it for me in the first Klaine scene of SLS.
Tumblr media
This cream color outfit that hides pretty much all of his uniform (but... I have to mention that the school issued pants probably fit with the color scheme really well - no full body shot of Kurt though, so. But I trust my style icon.) and contrasts him extremely well with Blaine.
Tumblr media
I do not think it is a coincidence either - because the scene itself is about Kurt misunderstanding Blaine and thinking he will be confessed to this Valentine's with a serenade (aw...)
We have a scene before the next outfit, where during the Warbler meeting Kurt shoots himself in the leg and convinces the council to sign off on the Gap Attack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After, though, we get this outfit, where the main focal point seems to be his Dalton tie. The scarf, coat and gloves are all very dark with no embellishments and he is also without a hat to distract you - your eye is naturally drawn to the bright red stripes, right in the middle. If you squint, the tie is the only thing you can reliably make out. Kurt trying desperately to emphasize this bond and connection he has with Blaine (even if it is just going to the same school) is interesting to me.
And we finally live to see the episode where he is fully out of the uniform too!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The red shirt + leather outfit may be the most interesting and flamboyant outfit he wears during these ten or so episodes. But it is still a very bright red - evoking not just Dalton, but Glee's own color symbolism of it being the color of individuality (here is a great post to understand this more.) And, once again, Kurt's show of individuality is associated with another heartbreak - this time the Anderberry kiss.
So if you are willing to be a little insane (and give a lot of credit to the costume department) this is a great look to emphasize his place in the story as of now: he does not fit in with the ND (who apparently did not even invite him and had to blackmail himself in through Finn) or the Warblers. He is a little bit of both but also neither because he is searching for a way to still be himself and part of a team at the same time.
I think the leather tie also leans into the Dalton uniform a bit. While Kurt is also just someone who likes wearing ties (he even irons them) it makes the outfit (and analogy) that much more cohesive.
The other outfit, I think is notable for three things: the cardigan is a very similar cut as Blaine's (only) coat, the color palette is grey and it, once again, has a tie. A very far cry from the bright red, leather and pins outfit from a few days before, understandably so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then we reach Sexy, here the center piece seems to be the Dalton blazer, with the red scarf, tucked in tie and v-neck all effectively making up a color block to emphasize it. Not to mention, this is the exact same outfit Blaine wore just an episode prior in BIOTA.
Tumblr media
We also see him at home once again, with the same gray color scheme of a knit black sweater and a grey shirt underneath.
Tumblr media
Reaching Night of Neglect and seeing Kurt and Blaine effectively match each other is now extremely commonplace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This all comes to head in BTW - the first outfit of note is when he has a talk with Dave. The tie is switched to a bowtie, notice the scissors brooch for "cutting ties" and how much more... S1 Kurt it is.
The other outfit is seen after his transfer is official. The coat may the most unconventional we've seen so far (it also reminds me of a straitjacket) with the keys dangling from his neck. The Pavarotti analogy, him "finding his voice", keeping the keys proudly on display that he will not lock himself away any longer (and may even be more open to asking for help) all make perfect sense here. Not to mention, while the color scheme does not deviate all that much, it is a much more refined look.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm including these two mostly for completion's sake, but they do cap off the other story lines told through Kurt's fashion pretty neatly - the first one is weird, it is flashy and layered. He really is back!
The other one may be the most pedestrian look of his (before S5, at least) but the 'Likes boys' displayed boldly in black and white is just a sweet moment after everything that S2 threw at him. Even if Kurt says this was a pretty good year, lol.

How Supernatural characters feel about "Glee"
Dean: It doesn't even make sense! *meanwhile biggest Klaine shipper in the universe*
Sam: Doesn't actually watch it. Picked up most from Dean. Is absolutely horrified.
Charlie: Had an active glee-fase, but doesn't watch it anymore, because after season 3 it went downhill. Listens to some covers though because "somewhere only we know" and "Coughsyrup" are iconic tbh.
Kevin: *Traumatized noices*
Cas: Didn't watch the show, thinks it's a coverband, has been caught singing "Don't stop believing" on multiple occasions.
Crowley: Of course I know glee. The last 3 seasons play on repeat in hel.

On Tonight's Episode of 9-1-1: 8x06 'Confessions'
As a Bucktommy shipper and a huge fan of both Buck and Tommy as individual characters, I am obviously shocked by tonight's episode. However, after letting myself process the events of the episode, I have some theories and thoughts about where the show, specifically Buck's relationships, could possibly go from here.
Option 1: Buck and Tommy take a break, but the invisible string brings them back together at some point in the future.
Personally, I think this option is extremely likely. This episode explicitly referenced Glee multiple times, and on-and-off again queer soulmate dynamics were Glee's bread and butter - think Brittana and Klaine. Both of these iconic queer couples from Glee broke up at some point during the show's run, even hooked up with other people iirc, but they were both gay married by the end of the series. Just because Buck and Tommy are broken up now, doesn't mean they're broken up forever. The writers could always bring Tommy back. Buck's first could also be his last, with some time and people in between.
Option 2: Buck refuses to take a break, and pursues Tommy, refusing to let the relationship fail on those terms.
I think this option is possible, but significantly less likely than Option 1. While this option would show how much Buck has changed and developed as a character since Abby slipped away from him, it could also be a recipe for disaster. Buck shouldn't pressure Tommy to stay in the relationship if he's not comfortable facing and risking his insecurities in that way, by being in a long-term relationship with a younger man. Tommy would be anxious and miserable, and it's not a good foundation for a relationship. However, it would show how Buck is finally willing to fight like hell for his romantic relationships to last and succeed. Invoking Abby makes me think this might be a viable option.
Option 3: Buddie with a Steel Chair!!!
Although I still believe this option is unlikely because Eddie literally said "I'm straight" this episode, it feels like more of a possibility now than ever before in the show's run. Eddie is discovering things about himself, taking off his metaphorical mask, and finally experiencing joy and fun for the first time in a long time. He is more free than he has ever been, unburdened. Meanwhile, Buck is an openly bisexual man with a history of making impulsive decisions going through a rough break-up. Buck hasn't yet explored his intense feelings for Eddie in the context of bisexuality. Tommy was Buck's first, but maybe Eddie could be his last?
Option 4: No One Wins. This break-up is permanent and Buck never sees Tommy again. No Bucktommy, no Buddie.
I hope and believe that this option is the least likely to occur. No one wants this, no one likes the hamster wheel, everyone would be miserable.
Regardless of where Buck's relationships go from here, if you're reading this, I hope you have a good night.

baby boy!!
Daniel "Danny" Anthony Hope
Tumblr media
Son of two iconic broadway lesbians, Vanessa & Lucinda Hope (not married because it's not legal but Lucinda changed her last name to match her wife and son)
Vanessa Hope (bio mom) is from Ohio, she was doing community theatre in Columbus when Danny was born (and meets Josh St James, they become very close even though she's a bit older)
She went through a very very messy breakup with Danny's father (he was extremely financially and verbally abusive, sometimes physically, leaves him because he hit infant Danny to make him stop crying, during the process she realizes she’s a lesbian), which leads to her moving to New York, auditions for a broadway show on a whim but gets it and quickly becomes theatre icon status, changes her last name from Corcoran to Hope as part of restarting her life, meets Lucinda soon after
(also Danny and Vanessa both have restraining orders against Danny's bio father)
Danny has known Josh for his entire life, he hasn't been to Ohio since Vanessa moved them to New York but Josh regularly comes to New York to visit Nell, young Jesse (when Johanna still lived in New York), and Vanessa & Danny, he's somewhere between a cool uncle and much older brother to Danny
Danny is following in his moms' footsteps, he's done some ensemble broadway roles before but has just started his first major role, playing Tony in Sweeney Todd (fun cast, his moms are playing Lovett and Lucy, Roman Kline is playing Anthony)
But soon after he turns 15 (roughly the start of glee season 2), he loses his virginity to a theatre acquaintance (who is ~18 at the time), who films it without Danny knowing, leaks the tape, and outs Danny on a major scale – the video got spread all over social media and tabloids, his moms sued so many people for possession and distribution of child pornography (he was 15, the other guy was 18, he’s now in jail for 7 years over it) – it's the first time that Roman has actually acted as a lawyer since getting licensed but he represents Danny, the whole thing becomes a huge media circus because it becomes a huge precedent case about tabloids and news outlets and revenge porn/sharing private images and videos etc
But the whole situation takes a significant toll on Danny's mental health, and he's dealing with insane amounts of harassment and stalking from paparazzi so for his safety, he ends up moving to Lima to live with Josh for a while. He's enrolled at Dalton which is a bitch of a commute but it’s Ohio and he was just very publicly and traumatizing outed so the no bullying policy is a huge win; he does end up eventually transferring to McKinley either after the Slushy Incident in season 3 (details iffy on that because Sebastian and Klaine are more tensely civil in this verse) or because of Hunter shit in season 4
Ship is tbd, Blaine is very much a big brother to him (people keep adopting him tbh), also has a huge crush on Sebastian when they first meet but it doesn't go anywhere, Sebastian becomes his over protective big brother instead
Roman and Cooper were his gay awakening when he was 12 (he had never thought he liked girls but didn’t realize he *liked boys* until then), he met Roman when he was doing a stint on Broadway with one of his moms and then met Cooper on opening night
And it’s going to be a Kurt & Klaine friendly story (noteworthy because it's not typical of me), Kurt is his big brother too and is very protective of this kid (who is only a year younger than him but feels *so* young when they first meet and reminds Kurt too much of himself; also Kurt knew about the outing situation and posted so many scathing social media posts condemning everyone who watched, shared, or mocked it and everyone who harassed him after)
everyone just calling him Klaine’s son all the time (Danny: I’m only a few months younger than Blaine wtf? / Blaine: nope sorry you have two lesbian moms and two gay dads now love you kid / Danny: 🥺🥺🥺 love you too)
he used to be a total social butterfly and very confident and chill and just happy but becomes extremely withdrawn and anxious and shy after the whole outing situation, struggles to get close to anyone after that (but no one is immune to his fluffy hair and puppy eyes and he keeps getting adopted anyways)
also his moms spend a lot of time visiting him in Lima and might end up moving there once it's clear that this is the best place for Danny to be, tbd
bonus characters: Kathryn Hahn as Vanessa Corcoran Hope, Patti Lupone as Lucinda Hope, and Aubrey Plaza as Danny's unnamed therapist in Lima
also technically named after Danny Zuko and Anthony Hope but Vanessa choosing Hope as a new last name wasn't about the Sweeney Todd reference, it was about Danny being her hope and about her hope for a new life after leaving her ex/moving to New York

Glee tag game
I was tagged by @annepi-blog, thank you!
1. Favourite season 1 episode: Okay, so the obvious answer is Laryngitis because it's one of the absolutely best Kurt episodes in the whole show. But I also fucking hate everything about Rachel's storyline but Rose's Turn alone does kind of give it the leg up to still be the best episode anyway.
2. Favourite season 2 episode: Oh I've got so many contenders for this one. I love Furt and the relationships we get to see between Burt and Kurt and Kurt and Finn. But then Never Been Kissed is just a classic with it being Blaine's first episode and Chris' acting in it is just so so incredible. Blame It On The Alcohol would be a higher contender because I love drunk Blaine and I actually really enjoy Finn in that episode, which isn't something that happens a lot for me until season 4, but the writer's biphobia that they push onto Kurt really ruins it. But I think the actual winner would have to be Prom Queen. I love Kurt in that episode and I love it being the first time we start to see that Blaine's not perfect, that he's a little broken, a little fragile. It's underutilized, but it really sets up so much of what makes Blaine my favorite character to write.
3. Favourite season 3 episode: Okay, we all know it's Michael. Like of course The First Time, On My Way, and Dance With Somebody are all great episodes that I really love. But Michael is the episode I rewatch the most. And part of my love for it is, a) the cut Want You Back scene, and b) believing Seblaine to be genuine, very close friends which makes the slushee incident so much more heart-wrenching. But it's still such a good episode, especially for me with my deep love of angst and Sebastian Smythe, it's really just the best episode in general. Plus it has the added bonus of having the one and only Samcedes duet so, yeah, it's the best.
4. Favourite season 4 episode: Diva and Feud are both a lot of fun, even if a lot of what happens in them is really ridiculous. Guilty Pleasures is such a good Blam episode. And I love I Do for the flirty and thirsty sides of Klaine we get to see. But I do feel like, once again, the angst lover in me has to go with The Breakup. The Scientist and Don't Speak are two of my favorite songs on the whole show. Everyone's acting in that episode is just so so good. Darren and Chris just knock it out of the park in every single scene, and I will never cease to be awed by them.
5. Favourite season 5 episode: I would probably say Tested, because I always love an episode where Blaine gets to cry. And I love Elliot and everything that he does for Klaine in getting them to communicate. And I love getting to truly see Blaine acknowledge his self-worth issues instead of them just constantly being buried and locked away. A lot of the episode is weird and difficult to watch but the conversation that Klaine have at the end will always be one of my favorite Klaine scenes. Other contenders were Bash, because I love Kurt in that episode and once again we get angsty Blaine. And then New York New York because its when we first get to see Klaine actively working to fix the problems in their relationship instead of clinging to the past so tightly that they crush it entirely.
6. Favourite season 6 episode: God, this one is hard because I'm honestly not sure there's any episode that I truly love. Like The Hurt Lockers are iconic, and I love Chris' acting in 2009. But so much of that season is just weird and almost pointless that I'm not sure I have an episode I like enough to consider my favorite.
7. Episode that makes me cry: I haven't rewatched The Quarterback since it aired because of how much it makes me cry. Tested and The Breakup also both hurt a lot.
8. Episode that makes me laugh: The Hurt Lockers for sure
9. Favourite tribute episode: Michael obviously. It's probably my favorite episode of the whole show in general and the songs are so well done.
10. Favourite Christmas episode: Ooof, I love them all for different reasons, but there's just something about Blaine going to New York with Burt to comfort Kurt that will always get to me so it's gotta be Glee, Actually.
11. Episode with the best songs: Ooooh, probably the mashup episodes? I'm not sure I can pick one but it would be a tie between Never Been Kissed and Mash Off.
12. Favourite sectionals episode: Oh, I'm torn between Special Education and Hold On To Sixteen. I love Quinn and Sam getting a duet, and I love Valerie, and I love Mercedes and Tina getting to sing Dog Days Are Over (maybe I just love the lack of Rachel solos, lol). But I do love the set list in Hold On To Sixteen, I love Quinn singing Control, I love Kurt and Tina and Mike all getting solo parts in ABC. And of course The Troubletones are just so good.
13. Favourite regionals episode: I've gotta say On My Way even if it's largely just for Glad You Came and Cough Syrup. The actual competition doesn't matter much to me, but the Karofsky storyline was handled really well and I love Sebastian's apology to Blaine and the New Directions, and it's just good in general.
14. Favourite nationals episode: I really love the set list for Nationals in season 3, but I hate Rachel and so much of that episode is all about Rachel and her choking at her NYADA audition and somehow convincing Carmen Tibideux to come see her anyway. But on the other hand while I don't love the City of Angels set list for nationals as much, I do love the fact that they were all Finn's (and Cory's) favorite songs. And I love Burt and Carole being there. And I love Throat Explosion (or at least John Baptiste) actually being very kind and respectful of Finn's passing. I like that they didn't just lean hard into the show choir rivalry there and let them actually be humans who recognize the pain of the McKinley team. Also Throat Explosion's set was really good too.
15. Episode most people like but I don’t: I might get killed by my Klaine friends. But Love, Love, Love? At the time it aired I was super excited about the proposal, but now as an adult, I really wish it hadn't happened, especially not like that. Like I get that it's romantic in that big grand gesture that Kurt deserves and Blaine would always want to give him. But. They hadn't talked about it! While Kurt guessed it was coming on the drive, it still didn't leave him with anyway to actually pull Blaine aside and talk about it. And with multiple other show choirs there, including Sebastian, can you really expect Kurt to be able to say anything but yes? Like I would have loved for them to have a quiet, personal proposal. To have Blaine ask and have them talk about it and whether or not they're ready for that. And then they could do the big thing. But instead we got Kurt not being given a chance to think about if this is something he actually wants, and it leads to a lot of problems in the future for them.
16. Episode most people dislike but I like: Probably Old Dog, New Tricks. Like it's a weird episode, admittedly. But we get some of my favorite things in it. We get Blaine being a sweet and supportive partner, we get Klaine being a team, we get Kurt calling Rachel out on how selfish she is, we get puppies, and we get Peter Pan. It's great. I have fun with that episode.
and now that I have finally finished that, I'm going to tag @esilher, @calsvoid, @lusthurts, @backslashdelta, and @cryscendo

First Line Analysis
Rules: post the first lines of your last 10 fics/chapters posted on AO3 (if you have less than 10 fics posted, post the first lines of all your fics) and try to draw some conclusions.
Thank you @wellbelesbian and @that-disabled-princess for tagging!
1. Find My Way - Legally Blonde the Musical
Vivian is staring at her ceiling.
2. Ljubili se - Glee (Klaine)
"I love you."
3. Just Some Guy - Carry On
To be honest, I can’t quite believe I am finally at Watford.
4. All of me loves all of you - Doctor Who's Class (Charlie x Matteusz)
Matteusz is wondering where it all went wrong.
5. 吃了吗? - Glee (Tike)
Mike has some guts.
6. February Friday Event 2024 - Radio Silence
“Hello, I hope somebody's listening.”
7. A beautiful day in the neighbourhood - Glee (Klaine)
Kurt’s staring out of the window of his parents’ house with a wistful smile on his face.
8. The Final Gift - The Good Place (Cheleanor)
Eleanor is asleep.
9. The Class Menagerie - Glee (Klaine)
Kurt is about to lose his mind.
10. A Sandy Situation - Check, Please! (Zimbits)
Jack's tired.
--
Well, if I see this, then two things are noticeable: 1) Most of the first lines are short. 2) Most of the lines describe what a person is doing/feeling: Person is/has X. The three exceptions to these are Just Some Guy, Ljubili se and the February Friday ones. The first is the only first person fic, so the first line is Matty's thoughts on something. Ljubili se has "I love you", since that's basically the bookend of this series. Ljubim te's first and last chapter started with "I love you", so of course the same will happen here. And February Friday's line is a callback to the iconic Radio Silence line. It starts with Aled doing his podcast, and every episode starts with “Hello, I hope somebody's listening.”
EDIT: Welp. Looks like I posted this. I thought I had put it in my drafts. Here are the tags! @quizasvivamos @rockitmans @special-bc-ur-part-of-it @cutestkilla @artsyunderstudy
