It comes with a heavy heart to announce that voice actress Eiko Masuyama passed away on May 20th.
Tumblr media
Guest stared in lupin part 1 and then become the greatest femme fatale in anime history, in 1977 voicing Fujiko Mine for 30 plus years until she retired from the role in 2010.
May she rest in peace.
The whole gang must have had a big reunion up there seeing fujiko-chan.

Second episode picking up. Chiaki Kobayashi (who is the voice for Adachi) and Ryota Suzuki (for Kurosawa) are responsible for the “30-sai Made Doutei da to Mahoutsukai ni Nareru Rashii” (Cherry Magic: 30 Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?) closing song, “Magical Love.”

So I decided to make some edits for cherry magic for the latest episode since it's been a while. Kurosawa's song was so cringe.
Tumblr media
But yeah, it was designed to be cringe, so I think they did a great job. XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ending song performed by the two main characters' seiyuu finally got an Adachi version for this episode. In Episode 5, it was a piano version performed by Suzuki Ryouta (Kurosawa's VA). The version performed by Kobayashi Chiaki (Adachi's VA) is acoustic. I wonder if there's any significance and I am not really a fan of the song but I think it's a nice touch that there are Kurosawa and Adachi versions.
Also, I am only noticing it now, but the art style of ED is just amazing!

Adachi is so cute. I want to keep him in my pocket. I can totally empathize with Kurosawa's reactions to this guy. (❤ω❤)

was feling feelings about not having much to look forward to when it comes to cherry magic until the summer release of volume 11, and im ignoring the movie excitement because of trust issues with anime movies as an international fan. it has become my comfort series, and this drought is more difficult than I thought it'll be lol
but then spring 2024 started, and one of the shows that looked interesting was "a condition called love." I turn on the first episode a few days late, as usual, and then I hear something, something so familiar
episode ends, I go check the va of the male lead and it's kobayashi chiaki, the voice of adachi in the anime adaptation
the show seems to be amazing on its own, don't get me wrong, but feelings are being felt

It's been a full year since Kobayashi passed away, it's sad to not hear him voice the gunslinger anymore but fortunately jigen was left in great hands.
Whether you heard him in karmen rider, death note, midnight eye or as jigen daisuke, his work has left an impact on fans.
I hope you're ok up there Kobayashi-san 🙏

Isn't it great when your interests convene? The Japanese dub of 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' has 'Lupin III' voice actors.
Yasuo Yamada as Blondie
Gorô Naya as Angel Eyes
Chikao Ôtsuka as Tuco
And Kiyoshi Kobayashi as Captain Clinton (the alcoholic Union Captain)
