Could AI Voice Cloning Replace Live Vocal Performances?
Tumblr media
Imagine a future where AI voice cloning tools like Kits are used to generate all vocal performances for music tracks, eliminating the need for live vocal recordings. Could AI fully replace the unique qualities of live vocal performances, or is there still a need for the human touch in music?
Main Content:
Scenario: Consider a future where vocalists create an AI clone of their voice, and producers use these clones to generate vocals for their tracks. The AI version of a vocalist can be used across multiple projects simultaneously, providing the benefits of scalability and consistency. Artists can collaborate without being physically present, and their voice can be licensed for use in a variety of music genres.
Analysis:
Potential Benefits:
Scalability and Efficiency: AI voice clones allow vocalists to be involved in multiple projects simultaneously, increasing earning potential without physical limitations.
Cost Reduction: Producers can access high-quality vocals without the cost of hiring vocalists for each project, making music production more affordable.
Challenges:
Emotional Connection: Live vocal performances often convey emotions and nuances that are difficult for AI to replicate. Can AI truly capture the depth and authenticity that human vocals bring to a song?
Artistic Integrity: Relying solely on AI-generated vocals may lead to a lack of uniqueness and personal touch in music, potentially impacting the emotional impact of the songs.
Do you think AI voice cloning could fully replace live vocal performances, or is there still a need for the human touch in music? Would you prefer to listen to a track featuring AI-generated vocals or a live performance? Share your thoughts!

Hello! I had some questions on making AI voices. I was curious how many minutes of lines you need for the voice to sound good. Your voices sound so clean and I don't know how many minutes you use. Thank you!
Good question lol. So everyone says you should have minimum 10 minutes of audio. I used to do 10-15 minutes but I've gotten really good at just like doing it myself so my last voice I made for the Roman Empire had 29 seconds of audio exactly. so under 30 seconds and This is what he sounds like. (Just used a song I have on my PC)
for comparison here is a side by side with my Spain voice. My Spain is trained with 8 minutes of audio and that is the most audio any of my bots have.
As you can clearly hear their quality is similar and the length of audio seemed to not matter so much in the end.
From what I've found so long as your audio is clear and clean you just need enough to give a broad range of tones. Like some of them whisper, yelling, mono toned and screaming if you have access to it. My Grandpa Rome Audio was just him speaking to Germany. it's that conversation repeated twice with BG sound & Germany removed.
You don't have to like 'fill' the time with repeating voice clips to make the 10 minute mark because what it does is train it over and over so it goes through the audio you have how many times you tell it to so if you train it with 250 epochs it will go go through it 250 times So there is no need to copy paste that 2 minute audio until you reach the 10 minutes. I've found 250 is like the perfect amount of time less than that has been full of static for me and over that has been over trained and pitchy from my experience. Though I may re-do bots to get my desired result. Take my Romano for example. People on the discord helped me fine tune him until he had the level of deep accent we wanted. This included me giving the program more of him rolling his r's and saying hard D sounds. I also made my Italy with his blooper voice as the forward vocals so the AI understands that he can speak in a deep voice because that was an issue I had with his bot at first. The clarity also depends on which program you use. I know KitsAI can be alright at times but struggles with pitching. I can't speak with the others because I've never used them. Making them yourself is like the best results I've found and it's free. (Gradio is best results)

Mini Update - Late Summer 2024
I'm moving my mods, modding programs & PC games to a new machine since hubby's games are eating up the hard drive on our big one. IDK about anybody else, but my games need to be separated from his, especially since, if I were to install all of mine & the mod programs for em, the computer would have no drive space.
List of programs going to the new machine: Hogwarts Legacy HP: Quidditch Champions Final Fantasy 14 Diablo 2 Resurrected Diablo Immortal Diablo 3 Diablo 4 Bleach: Brave Souls Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Links Skyrim: Special Edition Creator Kits for Skyrim & Starfield FModel Unreal Engine UModel Blender Unity GIMP CapCut KitsAI App VisualStudio Firefox Nightly Canva Discord Sandbox Game Maker Guild Wars 2 Plus, anything free from the Epic Games store that I like & will play.

I seriously can’t get over how PERFECT this is and I love everything about it and I stared at it for about 3 straight hours last night. It is too good.

Ever love someone so much that your heart is full of nothing but them? Enough that you'd set your soul aflame just to watch the sparks dance in their eyes? That even in your dreams, you dance with them into the great unknown and you fear nothing because so long as you're hand in hand, you'll be okay? Yeah. I think I'm falling for him again. ~Kitsai

Books: The Caddo Language
The Caddos once inhabited a vast area that is now included in eastern Texas and parts of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Their descendants have lived in southwestern Oklahoma since the middle of the 19th century. Their language is distantly related to Pawnee, Arikara, Witchita, and Kitsai within the Caddoan language family. Its polysynthetic verb morphology was described in an earlier work by Lynette Melnar. Chafe’s work expands on that description, adding nouns and adjectives, a collection o http://dlvr.it/QyF3XR
