looove your blog keep up the amazing work 😙✌🏽 anywho fic where people in UA still think shinsou's quirk is scary and they avoid him as much as possible bc they're scared he might activate it + that makes him sad but reader isn't scared of him at all !! and she always talks to him/hangs with him etc.. and he like low-key falls in love w her
”why aren’t you scared of me?”
pairing: hitoshi shinso x female reader
cw: language, slight angst, fluff, kissing
word count: 4000+
a/n: umm this is weird and i got rid of the joint traning arc and mina and momo are being bitches and it’s just me waffling at 00:30 so yeah have fun to the people awake reading this also thank you so much for the support
summary: in which shinso joins class 1a and whilst everybody seems to be scared of him out of fear he’ll use his quirk, you try to befriend the boy and he develops feelings as soon as you talk to him.
↞ back to my hero academia masterlist
His arrival into the class was shocking to say the least, the small whispers between your classmates and the fear that flushed through their eyes. Except you, you were intrigued by the boy, having seen his quirk at the sports festival you had seen how he used it against Midoriya. His soft violet hair looked a mess but a cute mess to say the least, his dull eyes and grey marks underneath his eyes melted your insides.
“You can sit behind Y/n.” You smiled to signify you were Y/n and he looked down walking past your classmates.
The whispers all in ear shot, you could see his eyes fall but didn’t say anything about it. Him, swiftly taking the seat right behind you, Aizawa had let the class talk among themselves and the fact nobody had come to talk to the boy. Hurt you a lot more than you wished, “y/n, we’re having that movie night next Sunday.”
“I can’t wait.” You turned around to meet the boy, “you’re invited as well.”
He gazed up catching your eyes, your knuckles were white due to the grip on the chair, and you stared with utter confidence. Mina having been the one to ask, she gave a side eye at what you had just said but didn’t bother making a remark.
Shinso answered with a, “I wouldn’t want to intrude.”
“No, it’s fine, I want you to come.” You had never been this confident but at how he had been ignored by the rest of the class it jolted something inside of you, “we can have lunch together as well.”
“Okay.” It was blunt and Momo this time had come up to you.
She stood in front of you, ignoring the boy, you could see how tense she was at the close proximity between them. She gestured for you to get up, but you ignored her action, “I’ll talk to you later.” You spoke continuing to ignore her pleas, was she really scared of him?
Were they all really that scared of him?
“You can go to your friends; you don’t need to be some sort of pity party.” Shinso muttered, stretching back and leaning against his chair.
Wide eyed, you tilted your head to be placed on the back of your hands, “I’m not a pity party, I want to be friends.”
“Friends, your class hates me.” He looked up and down, your skirt had ridden up and he could see a scar that you had probably gotten from someone’s quirk.
You roll you eyes giving the boy a smirk, “they don’t hate you.” .
“Really?” He gushes out knowing it’s the truth.
“Yes, stop worrying.” It was concerning how easy you two could converse, and your friends were ever so afraid. His gaze watching every one of your features, they assumed he was thinking of how to taint you, but all the saw was a tenderness comfort from you.
You noticed Ectoplasm come through the door ready to teach the hated maths lesson, “be warned if you get a question wrong, he will glare at you.” You gestured to the man and Shinso’s lip twitched upwards.
“Maybe it’s just because you get the questions wrong.” Shinso remarked back, urning a small slap on the arm to him.
His could feel the tip of his ears redden at how your hand had touched his arm, even though the fabric, your hand had lingered before hearing the sound of the lesson starting. You turned back around trying to look and concentrate on the board but all you could really think about was the boy. He was sweet, he understood your humour and he was nice, and you had no idea where there seemed to be an air of terror around the room.
Lunch had finally arrived just as you were getting your stuff, “Y/n, let’s go to next lunch.” This time it was Midoriya who had spoken, he had fought Shinso and knew everything about him. Seeing you be so friendly to someone who had a quirk like him, it made the green haired boy anxious.
“I’m having lunch with Shinso actually” You took your bag, standing up and allowing Shinso to have a full view of your frame, the loose tie around the white shirt, the thigh highs encasing your legs and making your thighs suffocate between the fabric.
He saw the way the class was looking at the scene and he became angry, maybe even upset. Did they really fear him this much, think he’d become some sort of villain and he’d taint you.
You started walking before waiting, “come on then.” It felt like being beckoned but he followed nevertheless, meeting your gaze and walking past the class with you.
“She’s too nice for her own good.” Mina spoke walking out with Momo.
Momo nodded watching how you stood close to the boy, “he might hurt her, we need to keep an eye on them.”
“What if he’s already in her mind?” Mina spoke callously, it was unknown for the two of them to act like this. But they had seen the festival, and they has seen the look on Midoriya’s eyes when he was being brainwashed. You were too nice, everybody knew that, but you had always been infatuated with his quirk from the first time you saw him use it. You hadn’t fought against him during the sports festival but had made it to the same stage he had.
He wouldn’t have paid attention to you, wouldn’t have looked and watched your fight, you weren’t anybody important. “I bet you’re happy you got moved into our class.” Both of you were rounding a corner and you had been telling him about the classmates, but all he could think about was the hate and disgust he had seen in their eyes.
“Yeah, too bad you’ll probably be my only friend.” He shrugs pulling at this tie to loosen due to feeling constricted.
“So we are friends?” He heard the sign of your chuckle and took a heavy breathe, it was soft and warm, filled with a tender kindness he had never experienced before.
He didn’t meet your gaze, “shut up.” He could almost feel your smile on him, turning to meet your gaze, he was going to be friends with you. He knew that, but was still fearful you’d leave him, leave and be afraid of his quirk.
“I shouldn’t have made you have lunch with me, you probably have your own friends from general studies.” You scratched the back of your head looking forward towards the main hall, you both walked towards the food a hunger taking over you.
He captures your eyes beginning to speak, “not really, I used them a lot in the festival and I guess they got pissed.”
He followed you to the empty seat, sitting opposite you as you picked at your food, “well what did you expect, dumbass.” He gave a low chuckle watching how your hair bounced in place and how you licked your lips after taking a bite of the rice.
“I remember seeing your fight, it was good, too bad you lost.” He taunted back; you rolled your eyes gently kicking his leg from underneath the table. Another flush had erupted from his face feeling your leg graze his own.
“It wasn’t my fault, I couldn’t touch her to use my quirk, she kept hitting me.” You whined, he smiled at the action, it was cute, but he was never going to admit that.
Instead raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms whilst leaning back he watched you, “okay then, what is this quirk of yours, I better be impressed.”
“Give me your hand.” He gave a wary look, “I’m not going to break your hand.”
He scoffed, putting his hand out, the rest of the class had arrived a couple minutes prior and had seen the two of you. “I don’t understand why you lot are scared of brainwashing kid, you’re all just pussy’s.” Bakugo stormed walking to another table with Kirishima, Sero and Denki.
All four had to admit his quirk was good, even Bakugo who would say it was shitty. They didn’t really care, and Denki could see him as the popular kid who’d he want to be friends with. The four hadn’t gone up to him due to seeing the glares that you had gotten and the glare of Mina’s that felt ice cold.
Most of them believed fear had caught up but how could they live in fear of the boy when he was in their class permanently. What could they do but see him try to integrate more into the class, Kirishima had even felt happy that you had invited him even after Mina and Momo’s look of horror.
Mina had gone to sit with the girls who seemed a lot more hatred to the boy, you understood Izuku’s anxiousness, but he’d get over it when he got more comfortable. You knew the class would be fine, after these months with them all, they’d be fine hopefully. The girls had watched him put his hand out and your fingers grazing his palms, they had no reason but fear that filled them, one of their close friends getting close with a boy with a quirk like his. It was a recipe for disaster.
“What is she doing?” Jirio asked, she didn’t have the same hatred as Momo, and Mina did. But that was only due to you being closer with the latter.
“Showing her quirk.” Hagakure spoke being able to see a lot more than the others by being the closest to the two of you.
Mina’s eyes widened, “why would she do that?”
The lack of response made it seem more like there was more fear from her than anybody else. Of course she would feel like this, she had seen you grow and been there for you and she didn’t want some stupid brainwashing boy to make you a villain. She hadn’t realised her thoughts, how inconsiderate she had been, he wasn’t a villain but why did she believe it so much. Having seen him control Midoriya it was frightening and now here you were sitting in front of him without acknowledging the fear.
“Basically if I touch any matter really, I can control it, so I touched your hand now…” You had stopped speaking letting your mind go blank as you thought for him to wave at you, “see.”
His eyes widened it was like his, it was something similar not exactly the same. But he felt his chest go heavy, he had fallen for you, from the way you spoke to having seen your fight and see you defeated. He had to admit he thought you were an arrogant weakling but now after you had so effortlessly become friends with him, he felt something a lot more for you.
“Shinso.” The sound of your voice saying his name, drove him wild and he couldn’t move, frozen at how you had spoke so smoothly, how his name on your lips was so effortless and seductive. He might sometimes be coy, but he was blunt but at this moment he couldn’t speak out of fear of losing something potential.
“Sorry.” It was a mutter and you shrugged it off taking him to where training would be.
Having changed into your hero costume you saw Shinso with the detachable mask around his mouth. He walked closer to you, but saw how your friends had come over quickly, he didn’t take a step forward standing still. Until Denki had seen him, “hey, I’m Kaminari.”
“Shinso.” The violet haired boy spoke.
Denki began gleefully talking to no end, “…I think your quirk is cool and you look one of those popular boys in Shojo manga.”
“You read Shojo manga.” Shinso spoke visibly confused but intrigued at the boy.
Denki began to save himself by acting cooler than usual, “what you don’t?”
“Nope.” It was another blunt statement; he had easily been able to not been blunt with you, but he was getting anxious at the motives of Denki’s.
“Come to my room tonight, I’ll show you so many.” Denki had easily said, Shinso nodded, he felt relieved that this mornings antics had all be swept away, even seeing Kirishima and Sero coming along dragging Bakugo beside him. They began to converse and Shinso felt relieved but occasionally looked at you, he found your hero costume beautiful, he understood for the lack of clothes due to it being easy to touch stuff with your any part of your body.
He zoned out looking at how your legs were exposed, the white leotard that encased your body and the long white cape that fell from around your neck, it looked moveable and he could see the material to be controllable for you to grab stuff. You looked like an ethereal angel and he if this really was a Shojo manga his nose would be bleeding right about now.
“We’re doing doubles, get into pairs and then join up with another pair.” Shinso noticed how he probably wouldn’t end up with you or one of the boys as they’d partner up together, but Denki had stayed close to him already an acknowledgement that the two were pairs and Sero had gone to pair up with Sato.
You had seen Denki go up to the boy and you knew your assumptions were right, being partnered with Mina would be hard at how she gave fearful remarks of not getting too close to the boy. You were against Momo and Ururaka, it was an ease using and controlling whatever Momo made but you weren’t fully in the fighting spirt. Your gaze on the fight between Kirishima and Bakugo against Shinso and Denki.
“Y/n, pay attention.” Mina chastised, you nodded continuing to stop Ururaka’s aim, it was easy to get close to them and with ease and Mina’s acid you were able to touch them and control them to stop.
It went on like this for a while, you were glad that with timing you didn’t have to go against Midoriya and Todoroki or Bakugo and Kirishima. They’re power was a lot and you really didn’t want to break any bones today, but fate still ended up hating you and the last fight was against Shinso and Denki.
You could almost feel the smirk through the mask, the capturing weapon surrounding his pretty little neck. “Ready to lose Y/n.” You didn’t speak, knowing exactly what he was going to do.
Denki had come full force at the two of you, you quickly with ease touched him as he swung for Mina who slyly escaped using her acid. You brought the boy up, whispering in his ears a few fatal words, before he stormed at Shinso with his quirk. “Using my teammate against me, so callous of you.”
You still hadn’t spoken, Mina hated how he toyed with you but still remained further away that you did.
“Shinso.” Denki shouted but that was Shinso’s cue to use his own quirk, it went on back and forth using Denki before he overexerted himself and stayed on the ground. Knowing you’d have to make this quick, you ran up to the boy ready to touch him.
But you felt the cool alloy wrap around your bones, Aizawa had seen the progress Shinso had made using them and he was impressed. He was still rough and needed a lot more practice, but he was able to hold onto you with confidence. You tried to get out, but he had made your cape wrap around your skin making his scarf able to not be controlled by you, you were all wrapped up for him in a pretty little present.
“Say the magic words.” He mocked out.
You huffed taking a sign before speaking, “let me out…please.”
He let you go and had begun controlling you, bringing you this time closer to his body. “You did good.” He stopped brainwashing you and you came out of your daze.
“Being under you brainwashing is creepily good, it’s like an out of body experience.” You spoke highly praising the boy before hearing Aizawa dismiss you all.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” He laughs walking with you to the changing rooms.
You wanted to ask about his new friendships as it seemed to have been him become a lot more comfortable than you had expected, “you made friends with Denki and them lot.”
“Yeah, they seem okay, even that Bakugo he makes some good points, he’s still arrogant though.” You laughed cocking your head back at the remark.
“That describes him to the T.” You partnered ways getting changed and meeting each other outside to walk to the dorms
He spoke about Denki inviting him to read some Shojo manga, and you couldn’t wait to hear that story. He was even your neighbour which you were happy about, knowing that there was only a thin wall between the two of you.
The days continued on as usual, you spending more and more time with Shinso, the class becoming more comfortable with him, even Midoriya was friendly saying Hi’s in the mornings which Shinso would reply with. It seemed like everybody was growing on him, everybody except Mina and Momo, there was a sense of air that you were still infatuated with him.
They remember your exact words from the sports festival, “his quirk looks kind of scary, I’d rather die then fight him.” You had said it jokingly, but they took it literally and couldn’t understand why you were as scared as they were. They saw the look of evil in his eyes, but the class had moved past, and they seemed to be the only ones left. They were your friends, of course they were but the way they had been acting had made you distance yourself just for them to cool off.
Another fast long week had approached, and it was finally time for the movie night that was occurring, Shinso had walked down with you, the purple hoodie encased his frame with the grey joggers. He had been in awe when you came out of your room in shorts and a zip up hoodie seeing the peak of a tank top underneath. You really did look perfect in anything; it was the moment he knew that he had begun falling for you deeper.
“Denki showed me this Shojo manga, he said you’d read it.” You began to think of the manga’s you had read which happened to be a long list. “Kiss him, not me.”
“Oh yeah, it’s sappy, I love it though, we should watch the anime.” You hadn’t realised what you said but it was obviously an invitation into one another’s rooms to watch a romance anime.
Shinso tried to surpress his cheeks from flushing but continued on speaking, “I’ll hold you to that.”
“Of course.” You laughed meeting the class who had set up in front of the TV, you grabbed the hoodie sleeve of Shinso’s pushing him onto the end of the sofa as you sat beside him. “Now if I fall asleep, I won’t be embarrassed.”
The thought of you falling asleep on him, made his heart beat. He felt butterflies at how you were already partially leaning against him, he watched Mina and Momo glare from the other side, ignoring it though. The movie had started something Bakugo had chosen after winning rock paper scissors, it was disturbing to say the least and you knew you’d end up falling asleep through the second part of it.
Iida had paused the film for breaks being the efficient man he was, Shinso stayed put as you went to get a glass of water. Mina following, “Y/n, why have you been so distant with me?” She was worried for the friendship, had Shinso made you like this?
“Oh, have I, I didn’t realise.” You speak taking a long sip of the water.
“Yeah, you have, did Shinso do this to you? Are you like under his control?” It was unexpected and you choked on your water in shock.
You were trying to keep a lid on your anger, but you had given up, “Mina stop being a fucking bitch to the boy, he hasn’t done anything to me, everybody has warmed up to him except you and Momo and it’s driving me crazy to have to step on egg shells around you. He isn’t a villain okay.”
Her mouth was wide and at your shouting the class had gathered, even Shinso who had heard the last part. Denki put a reassuring arm on his friends shoulder before waiting for Mina’s reply, who hadn’t realised the presence of others.
“He’s probably controlling everybody Y/n, you told me and Momo you would never want to fight him, why would you say that and befriend him?” You thought back to those words you had said months ago.
“I can say I wouldn’t want to fight him because I’m glad he’s on our side.” You muttered, “he’s not controlling all of, stop acting like this.”
Mina tried to move closer to you, but you put your arm out to stop her, “can’t you see we’re all scared of him; he’s going to end up a villain.”
Shinso broke at those words, he coughed making Mina realise what she had said, the faces of 19 angry faces glaring at her. Shinso began to speak and Mina was scared shitless, “I’m going to head up early.”
“Shin…” He moved past everybody walking away, he wasn’t in the mood for confrontation and now all he could think about was you, why weren’t you scared of him, why were you so kind to him?
You barged past the girl, “don’t fucking talk to me until you apologise to him.” You ran to follow the boy who had already taken the elevator, you thought over the scene and he needed someone.
Walking towards his door, you knocked waiting for him to open it, he looked sad, upset even. You didn’t know what to say seeing his glum face, “she shouldn’t have said that.”
“It’s the truth though, isn’t it, I’ll always be seen as a villain.” You went to reach for him, but he took a step backwards, “that’s the thing, I don’t understand though.”
“What, Shinso?” You questioned closing the door and leaning against it.
“Why aren’t you scared of me?” Your eyes widened.
“Why would I ever be scared of you?”
He came close to your smaller frame, his arms crossed above your head leaning down to meet your eyes. “My quirk its not very hero type now is it.”
“Shinso, I never cared about your quirk, yeah its cool but I saw you, for you not your quirk.” You rested your hands on his chest, hoping to bring comfort.
One of his hands, moved to your cheek, caressing it softly and slowly. “I shouldn’t have asked you that.”
“No, it’s fine, I want you to know that I like you for you.” You hadn’t meant for a confession of your crush to come out, but you stopped caring, you liked him, you really did, and you didn’t care if Mina and Momo didn’t. They would have to acknowledge it one way or another.
His other hand moved your hair away from your face, “you’re lucky then.” He moved his face closer to yours, you could smell the caramel popcorn fresh from his breathe.
“Why?” You tilted your head waiting for the gap to close.
Just as his lips skimmed yours, he spoke softly, “that I like you for you t…” He never finished his sentence, instead kissing you softly, your soft lips engulphed within his own. Your hands in his hair as he brought his hands to grip your waist. He felt every inch of you in that one kiss, hearing a soft moan which allowed his tongue to take the lead and make you own submit. It felt intoxicating and heavy, with teeth on teeth and his grip tightening against your waist. He wanted to feel you on him, he didn’t care what the two girls thought of him anymore because he had you and that was all he ever needed.

-Operation save Bakugou (Summer camp part 2 ) -
—Okay so I know this is really long but I wrote with my phone and I don’t know how to do read more breaks and it has a lot of the show in it and not all is how it is in the episodes I used some of the script and some just how I remember the episodes because I was excited to write. But I had to get to the part where Bakugou is saved because I don’t think I would do a good job writing fight scenes if I made y/n get captured too. Maybe I’ll rewrite part two when I get better haha but right now this is it! I hope you still like it
I didn’t know when to stop like because I wrote in some of the actual show I could keep it going with different things lol I had a hard time so this is what it needed up being.
Also I probably don’t write characters very well I’m still learning. To me I think Bakugou would treat the one he has romantic feelings for differently when they’re alone. But anyway
-To the story-
When you woke up you were falling into the arms of Shoji, apparently some man used his quirk on you to turn you into a small marble thing, you didn’t really understand. Shoji’s other arms were holding Tokoyami. You quickly looked for Bakugou and noticed him in the hands of some patch face villain as they were being warped away, you screamed his name along side Midoriya and you struggle against Shojis hold on you your pain forgotten about. Midoriya is running tho, he’s gonna make it, he has to make it “Stay back, Deku” Bakugous voice makes you start to cry and he looks right into your eyes as he disappears. The summer training camp that everyone was looking forward to couldn’t have been more of a disaster. You didn’t stop quietly crying until you got to the hospital. You ended up needing surgery to help repair some of the tendons in your shoulder that ripped and when you woke up you were in a room with Jiro and Yaoyorozu, with the combination of doctors and Recovery Girl you were able to be up and out in a couple of days, although you’d still have take it easy for a few months and don’t do anything to strain it, limit its use.
Your parents kept you at home for a couple days, your dad still worried and your mom was okay about things, but you couldn’t just sit and do nothing, so you found yourself at the hospital with your classmates in support of the other students still unconscious. During this time you became closer friends with Kirishima, when he brought up his plan of having Yaoyorozu make another tracker for the device she put on a Nomu and you guys go rescue Bakugou, you were one of the first to join him. You knew the risks, you remember Hosu (your blood type unfortunately the one that lasted the longest paralyzed so you didn’t even fight), you knew that if you did this wrong it would reflect badly on the school and heros. But you also knew how smart your classmates were, you knew that if you all worked together you could figure a way to rescue him without fighting. You could be stealth. When Midoriya woke up the few of you went to visit him, you weren’t a part of the gift choosing or you would have suggested something else but Mineta was super excited about it. it was kind of cute but you would keep that thought to yourself. “I brought you a present! its from all of us, it’s a melon!!” Mineta holds the melon proudly. It was shortly after that when Kirishima brought up going to rescue Bakugou, and only you and Todoroki so far will go with. Before you realized Midoriya was crying “i couldn’t save someone right in front of me” he says his voice breaking “then, let’s save him this time!” Kirishima steps forward, you can feel his resolve in the air. Iida is upset “This is something we should leave to the pros! This isnt the time to act like idiots!” He practically yells and you place your hand on his arm softly “we know that” you say quietly and Kirishima turns to face Iida “after I heard that my friend was being targeted, I couldn’t do anything. I didn’t do anything! ...” he takes a deep breath “if I don’t do anything now I won’t be a hero or a man anymore” he sounds so dejected, which is exactly how you feel. Mina pipes in “So, in short, you're planning on getting the receiver from Yao-momo, following it, and going to save Bakugo yourselves?” Kirishima nods and says “yeah” Todoroki speaks up, saying “Even though the villains said we were targets to be killed, they took Bakugo without killing him. They probably let him live, but that doesn't mean they won't kill him eventually. Y/n, Kirishima, and I are going.” “Don't go overboard with your messing around!” Iida says and does his normal arm flails. “We need to leave this to All Might” you didn’t say much, you could see clearly each side of the arguments, but there was nothing that could stop you from going to rescue Bakugou if you could. You were already thinking of ways you could get him without fighting when Tsu’s voice cuts through your thoughts “Everyone, we're all shocked from Bakugo's kidnapping. But let's think things through calmly. No matter how just your feelings, if you're saying you'll fight again ...that you'll break the rules.... Those acts are the same as those of villains” your heart dropped into your stomach. “It’s a reach to call what we want to do the same as villains, we want to quietly go in and find a moment to save him. No fighting. No harm. We want to get him out so that when All Might and the heros get there they don’t have to hold back in fear of harming Bakugou too. If I was them I would go in as soon as possible to get Bakugou out. If that’s so then we can...” you get cut off as a nurse walks in to the room saying it’s time for Midoriya’s exam, everyone went to see Jiro but you went off by yourself to clear your mind and prepare for tonight. You were going to rescue Bakugou tonight.
You, Kirishima, and Todoroki stood outside of the doors to the hospital, waiting to see if Midoriya and Yaoyorozu will show. Kirishima speaks quietly “I wonder what Yaoyorozu decided” you felt nervous “ Well, no matter how restless we are, it's up to her.” Todoroki pointed out. “There she is” you say and when you all look Yaoyorozu and Midoriya come out of the door “what did you decide?” Kirishima asks but before she can respond Iida comes out of no where and punches Midoriya “Why... Why did it have to be you guys of all people?! The ones who stopped me when I acted recklessly for personal reasons...You, who received amnesty with me...Why are you trying to make the same mistake I did? It's too much!” He shouts in frustration. “When I saw your injuries, I also saw my brother in his sickbed! What if your bodies end up irreparable, like my brother's, because of your recklessness? Are you saying that you don't care about my worries? Are you saying that you don't care about how I feel...?” You could feel waves of worry and sadness coming from Iida. You felt his worry. “Iida” you say softly and you can see all of his emotions in his eyes. “Iida. We don't expect to face them head-on and win either. We'll extricate him without fighting.” Todoroki says “In other words, covert action!” Kiri adds “That's the way we students can fightwhile toeing the line on the rules!” You added, confident you could pull this off. Yaoyorozu speaks up “I trust Todoroki. But so that I can stop them if anything happens, I plan to accompany them, as well.” “Well if we can’t come to an agreement, then take me with you as well! am accompanying you because I am not convinced you will behave yourselves. If I think it will turn to combat I will make you return immediately.” Iida was definitely the right one to be the class rep. You nod, completely okay with his conditions. You didn’t want to fight, your body wasn’t even close to being able to fight, so you would do this on his terms.
The reciever said that Nomu was in Camino ward which was two hours away so you’d be there by ten pm and when you got there it was busier than you thought it would be. There were so many people out and about and with the school being in the news recently there was no way you wouldn’t be recognized. The villains also know what you look like, which led you all to getting disguises to look more like adults instead of the teens you were. Todoroki pointed out that Yao-Momo could have just made your disguises with her quirk but she said as a good citizen we had to help the economy. As you follow Yaoyorozu to the destination everyone around you starts to talk about UA as a screen in the square begins to broadcast clips from the schools press conference. “They’re treating them like the bad guys” you say quietly to your friends. Before you knew it you were at the location that the device said, It looked like an abandoned warehouse. “What should we do? We’re out in the open right here we need to make a plan” you say as you pretend to check out a soda machine. Midoriya starts to mutter to himself before he suggests going around the back of the building. “We’re gonna get stuck” you whisper to Yao-momo and she agrees “just keep moving” Midoriya says back to you guys from the front. Once you make it to the back you decide to have Kirishima and Midoriya stand on Iidas and Todorokis shoulders to use Kirishimas night vision scope. The warehouse was full of Nomu, you felt sick to your stomach. Bakugou wasn’t here but what was is terrifying. You were so busy thinking of what you were going to do so you didn’t notice when the Pro Heros arrived, but you did notice when the place exploded and you were knocked to the ground by falling concrete. Iida quickly pulling you next to him to hide. What is going on!? Your body ached and your shoulder screamed, there was a villian who was hurting Best Jeanist, and you and your friends were huddled on the other side of the wall, terrified. Before you could even collect your thoughts you recognized All Might as he busted in and started fighting followed by the rest of the league warping in through some sort of black goo.
You automatically recognized Bakugous voice and your body reacted propelling you to go try and save him. Iida stops you and Midoriya at the same time and then Midoriya reveals the plan he’s thought up. “We can get him without fighting. Iida and I will use our quirks and Todoroki will make a huge ice wall too high for anyone to even think of coming after us, but it all depends on you, Kirishima. It will be up to him to save himself and you guys have a built a good friendship, he needs someone he can trust” all eyes were on Kiri but he was looking right at you “I don’t know if you guys have noticed but...I’m not the one you want. Y/n here has grown closer to Bakugou” his voice sounded, slightly jealous, you blush “if you want him to have no doubts then use her” it was in that moment that they all put all the pieces together and they all looked at you “yes you’re right! Y/n! Can you do this?” you nodded confidently and you all got into position. “Now!” Modoriya says and you’re off. Flying up a giant ice wall going faster then you’ve ever traveled. This was it. You were going to get him back “y/n! Now!” You were being held by Iida as you leaned your body down holding your good arm out towards to blonde haired boy “KATSUKI!” You yelled his name and not even a second later he was blasting through the air towards you, when his hand wraps around your forearm you let out a choked cry. You wrap your arms around him holding him so he didn’t fall. “Bakugou make a blast to..” Iida started to direct him to help us land but Bakugou cut him off “dON’t TELL ME WHAT TO DO” he shouts but does as he’s instructed anyway. When you land you quickly disperse into the crowds downtown, Iida and Midoriya going one way and you and Bakugou headed off in a different direction. When you found a place to blend in with the crowd he turned to you and pulled you into a tight hug “I was so worried” he said softly laying his cheek against the top of your head and your cheek against his chest. Your hands were shaking as they gripped his shirt in your fists “Katsuki” you whispered and pulled back to look up at him and then the words started and you couldn’t stop speaking “I’m so glad you’re okay. I mean I know you’re like the strongest person with your convictions and there’s absolutely nothing that can stop you being the number one hero but I still couldn’t help but be worried. I know it’s a little dumb but I guess I .. I.. just. If something when wrong then I don’t know. ..” you took a breath “I guess I would really miss giving you shit or something” you laughed awkwardly and nervously scratched the back of your neck. He laughed “of course that’s why. And I knew you realized I was gonna be number one. I guess you can be the number two hero or you can be my side kick” he gave you a little friendly flirty nudge before taking your hand in his, he was suddenly very serious and upset, his red eyes like fire staring into your (e/c) ones “y/n I swear to god if you ever do anything so stupid and reckless again I’ll kick your ass” he says and pulls you into another hug and you hide the pain of your shoulder by laughing against his chest “I promise I won’t be reckless unless it’s to save you. I will always choose to save you.” you say softly feeling your cheeks blush you pull away and take his hand “we can probably go and find the others now” before he can say anything you take off through the crowd pulling him along. You meet back up with Iida and Midoriya when the TVs start broadcasting the rest of the fight. Your hand never leaves Bakugou’s, even if you tried to let go he wouldn’t have let you. you end up leaning up against him as you watched the fight unfold, you were shaking a little from exhaustion and your injuries hurting more now that the adrenaline wore off. When All Might turned into a skinny skeleton version of himself safe to say everyone was shocked. You don’t think you blinked for several minutes watching it happen. “All Might” Bakugou whispered next to you. He looked like he was.... losing.
You saw that a few other heros had arrived there as Endevour and Gran Torino were in the corner of the screen. He can do it. He can still beat the villian. Come on All Might kick his ass! Suddenly everyone is yelling and screaming for him, “COME ON ALL MIGHT KICK HIS ASS!” Bakugou yells next to you and you squeeze his hand right and cheer for All Might as well. This energy, All Might had to feel it! And he does! He puts all his power into one arm and then there’s too much dust in the area to see what happened and everyone went quiet. You held your breath and Bakugou wrapped his arm around you pulling you right next to him, you cover your mouth with your hand, eyebrows knit tigether in worry, you don’t even blink as you wait for the dust to settle chanting “all might all might all might” in your head. The cheers when the dust settled were so loud you were sure you were deaf. Bakugou hugged you again, and this time it hurt. You gasp in pain and he pulls back “you stupid idiot! you overdid it and you aren’t healed are you?!” You whisper an apology, embarrassed, then place your forehead against his chest. Your body floods with relief that this night is over. You have Bakugou back, All Might won, everyone you care about is okay. You take a deep breath in, filling your senses with him, your shoulders shake and you can’t help the tears that start to flow. Ever since you lost him in the woods you had been stressed and filled with worry, your heart strained and your stomach felt like it had cement in it. You were overwhelmed for so long and now that the heros won your body flooded with relief and it was even more overwhelming “I’m sorry” you whisper, afraid your voice would crack, he holds you close to him and rubs your back softly “don’t worry” his voice was kind. “It’s overwhelming, I understand” you felt his breath next to your ear and realize he’s holding you and bent around you like he’s shielding you from everyone else. It’s only for a few minutes five tops but it feels like time stops. Him holding you makes it easy for you to calm down and once you’re breathing normal he pulls back and smiles at you, you doubt he’s ever looked at anyone how he’s looking at you now, you can’t help but draw your face closer to his turning your jaw up and your nose brushes against his softly, . . . “There you guys are the commotion must of split us up again” Iidas voice cuts through your bubble and you pull back quick and instinctually blushing and looking at the ground Bakugou takes your hand and laces your fingers together. Iida didn’t act like he noticed anything wrong here he just kept talking, you looked up at Bakugou who was glaring his usual glare at the world and at Iida. “We should get Bakugou to the police and talk to them.” Midoriya nods and smiles at you and when you meet his eye which causes you to blush again. “Let’s go then” Iida turns and you follow, keeping a hold on Bakugou’s hand so you didn’t get lost in the crowd, and partially because you didnt want to lose him again period. You didn’t want to ever let him go. Before you get to the police you stop for a second and keep Bakugou with you “I .. I don’t know if I can let you go..” you whisper quietly and rub your thumb softly across his and he pulls you in close “y/n..” his voice was gruff right by your ear “take a deep breath” you do as he says and he keeps talking “don’t be a damn idiot” you laugh at him, loving that he’s acting normal with you, and he smiles but hides it by turning his face into your hair. His lips softly kiss your temple . “Let’s get this over with so I can take you out on a date” he’s back to keeping his angry mask on and starts to walk again. “I’ll see you as soon as I can” he whispers just to you before he goes off with the police, you give your statement to another officer and hero and then you’re free to go, knowing you’ll be reprimanded by Aizawa next time you see him and you hope he won’t expel you all. You wait for hours for the trains to start up again before you make your way back home with the rest of your friends.
Your parents grounded you. No phones no friends, nothing but homework and house work. Although you were lucky that your parents still had faith in the heros and school, you suffered through the next few days not being able to talk to anyone and you were constantly thinking about Bakugou. When a letter came in the mail, followed by Mr. Aizawa stopping by, you were filled with a flicker of hope. They were bringing all the students to dorms on the school campus. Your parents agreed the moment they read the letter, they knew it would be the safest option if you were going to keep attending UA. When Mr. Aizawa showed up on your door step, they were even more impressed. Your mom bows to him “We really loved what you said during the broadcast and we still have the utmost faith in you heros, we know how hard it must be to have everything scrutinized when you’re doing the best you can. You’re obviously a wonderful teacher, y/n is always talking about how much she loves your class..” you blush and look away “so yes. We will send her to your dorms. We know you’ll protect her”
You run and hug Yao-momo when you see her outside of the dorms, dropping your bags and laughing. “I’m glad you’re okay” you say and smile when Todoroki appears. “You too Todoroki” you add and he ruffles your hair with a smirk before moving in his things. “This is kind of exciting isn’t it?” Yao-momo says and then gets distracted directing her movers who were carrying in an awfully large bed. You smile and look around at the commotion and bend down to pick up your duffel bag but before you can Bakugou swipes it and throws it over his shoulder “there you are” he says and you throw your arms around his neck, you couldn’t help yourself, you pull away embarrassed and pick up your other bag, you weren’t moving in with a lot all you really wanted were clothes and decorations. “Here I am” you say with an awkward laugh and look back up at him. he’s blushing a little, he looked so good it made your heart skip. “I’m so glad to see you Bakugou” you say and you notice the corners of his lips turn up into a small smile for just a split second “let’s get going,” he takes your hand “your shit is getting heavy” he’s back to scowling but it doesn’t reach his eyes this time. He walks you to your room and puts your stuff down and you are practically bouncing with excitement. “This is so amazing Bakugou!” You’re so happy “Katsuki” he says softly and you turn look at him “what?” “I love when you call me by my name. Or even Suki really.” He says and finally meets your eyes as you walk over to him taking his hands in yours “that’s wonderful to know” You were suddenly very glad that your parents let you move in alone, giving you a small moment of alone time with Bakugou. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you Katsuki Bakugou, you’re actually being nice!” He genuinely smiles for what you bet was the first time in a long time. “What’s going on is you make me crazy y/n!” You laugh and then Aizawa opens your door and you quickly step away from Bakugou, Aizawa just sighs “let’s go Bakugou” you laugh again a little frustrated at how you keep getting caught when you want to kiss him. “Meet me tonight” he whispers into your ear and you nod and wave goodbye, apologizing to Mr. Aizawa as he turns and leaves with Bakugou.
You spend what feels like four billion hours unpacking and decorating your room exactly how you want it, you have a wall covered in pictures of you and your loved ones and band posters and color changing Bluetooth LED lights around the tops of the walls, don’t forget black out curtains with black sheets and black comforter, with three extra blankets because you get so cold. When you finished you went down and met up with everyone else in the common area. You sat next to Uraraka when you didn’t see Bakugou right away and when she came up with the plans for a bedroom contest you silently bowed out saying you were too tired and wanted to catch up on sleep, as you were walking back to the elevator you heard Bakugou make up a very similar excuse to kirishima before he caught up to you.
As the elevator doors close he takes your hands and pulls you next to him. “Want to see how I decorated? I think you’ll like it” you say and finally turn your head to look up meeting his eyes “show me” he says and you can’t help the smile spread across your face as you felt the air get heavy with tension. You were so close to him you could smell his scent and sweat, you loved it. you could have sworn you felt little pricks against your palm as you quickly snuck him into your room again. Your lights were set to orange and you closed the door as he took it all in “it’s exactly what I’d expect a losers room to look like” he says gruffly, facing away from you. you feel your jaw drop from shock before he turns around and you see his smirk “that was not nice! I worked so hard on this! And I made the lights orange for you!” You were kind of annoyed and it just made him laugh and he caught one of your hands in the air as you gestured to the lights, closing the distance between you both and wrapping his arms around you in a hug. “I love the lights” he says and takes a deep breath of your hair, he always enjoyed that your hair smelled like rose shampoo. “Can’t seem to get enough of me Suki, if I knew any better I would say you even like me” he laughs again and pulls back to really look at you “you’d be right” he tucks your hair behind your ear and leaves his hand on your cheek, your heart stops, your breathing stops, you don’t blink, you can’t move, is this really happening?? your body is full of butterflies “Katsuki” you whisper and your hands travel up from his chest one resting on his neck one deep in his soft hair “finally” he whispers the moment before his lips meet yours. They’re soft and warm, giving, unlike his personality. Your lips fit tigether in the most perfect way, you moved together like you’ve done this many times before like you knew him better than anyone. A moan escapes your lips and you laugh at yourself, he takes that moment to deepen the kiss sliding his tongue into your mouth. You relax into him, his arm around your back. When you finally pull away and look up at him you’re out of breath and your cheeks are flushed “this isn’t some one time thing right? Because you can’t give a girl a taste of something as amazing as that to just take it away. I gotta have that every day of my life now” you’re on a nervous ramble when he kisses you again softly to kind of pause you before laughing out “you idiot. I’d never do that to you” you blush and he touches your cheek “pink is a good color on you” he kisses the tip of your nose “I thought you hated me at first, which is why I thought it was so funny to pester you” you confess, not really sure why, “you infuriated me. You didn’t care about any of the walls I had up or any of my attitudes. No one other than my parents have shown me that. People always think I’m too angry or think I’ll for sure turn into a villian. They say I’m too loud or obnoxious. That I’m too cocky. Then I realized that you never made me feel like I was anything bad” “that’s because you don’t have anything bad about you” you cut him off and he gives you a quick peck and a shush “let me finish pelase” “sorry go ahead” he smiles “I realized that I wasn’t infuriated, I was enamored. When I heard your voice and saw you fly through the air that night, you were like an angel. My angel.” His lips press softly to yours again and you feel all your anxiety and worries about this being a one time thing wash away. He called you his. “So I’m yours huh?” You cock an eyebrow “that’s what you got from my whole speech? You do realize that I’m not going to say it again right?” He’s gruff again and you laugh “if you’re mine,I’m yours” you whisper into his ear and his arms around you tighten. “I really do like the decorations. The orange lights are a great touch” he says as he pulls you down into your bed to cuddle.
He just wants to hold you, never let you go for as long as he can get away with it. He’s never felt this strongly about anything other than becoming number one. You laid on your back, his head was on your chest and he was laying between your legs, your arms around him playing with his hair and drawing on his back as you both talked about things you loved between kisses. You never knew he was this funny, your stomach hurt from laughing so hard “you’re amazing Katsuki I knew you had some secret hidden qualities but I am truly delighted the more I learn about you. The more you trust me with” his kisses you and when he pulls back you notice his blushed cheeks “you better keep this all to yourself or I’ll kick your ass” his threat was empty but what you had with him was so special you want to keep as much as you can close to your heart “don’t worry baby” you say laughing and as he cuddles into you again you sigh “You should get back to your room and get some sleep. We have a big day tomorrow and I can’t get into trouble or I’ll be expelled, you heard Aizawa.” You wiggle out from under him and pull him up to his feet, kissing him softly before you walk him to the door. “I’ll see you in the morning. My sweet girl” he kisses you and after you stick your tongue out at him as he walks off laughing. “Goodnight Katsuki!” You say to him, not worried too much because the only other girl on your floor is Mina and you know for a fact she’s still downstairs. You watch him enter the elevator “goodnight sweetheart” he says and winks at you with a grin before the elevator doors close fully. You would not be able to sleep at all tonight.

“I just want to give you endless headaches for however long you’ll let me’ That sounds like the sum of a relationship with Kaminari
A/N: First off, I am so sorry this is coming a month late, I got side-tracked by school. I am back and ready to write! I hope you like this as I am getting out of the groove of writing papers for my thesis and in return getting back into the groove of writing for my favorite manga/anime. I loved writing this and ugh *chefs kiss* Denki. Thats all. Just Denki.
Word count: 1,960
HEADACHES.. YOU GIVE ME HEADACHES
A crashing sound reverberated throughout the 1A dorms. The sound was unmistakable, one of Bakugo’s explosions. You rolled your eyes as you tried to once again pull your focus away from the ruckus outside of your room and stare down at the daunting math problems below you.
“GET BACK HERE DUNCE FACE” Bakugo yelled, it sounded like they were coming closer to your room which made you even more on edge. You felt a slight twinge behind your left eye as you once again tried to focus on her homework. Your boyfriend was not helping at all as his loud laughter could be heard. He seemed to be taunting Bakugo, from what you could hear. The back and forth of loud conversation between the two made your headache deepen into a sharp ache behind your left eye.
“Okay if I can just figure out how to take the derivative-“ You spoke outlaid to try to keep your focus on the math problem but was cut short by another boom echoing through the halls. You knew if you did not stop the stupid antics of the boys outside Mr. Aizawa would cut in and give them all detentions. Which would just lead to more headaches for you, wondering how Kaminari was faring alone in a room with Bakugo. Your headache began to spread across her brow bone as you heard some kind of girly shrieking from beyond your door. You ripped yourself away from the paper and sighed heavily, standing up to go find out what the idiots where up to now.
As you stepped outside of your room the sight of tape hanging from the ceiling in a vine like fashion, made your mouth fall open. Your eyes widened and then narrowed into slits as you felt your headache spread to the other temple now. The sight could only mean one thing. Your boyfriend and Sero were trying out his new maneuverability tactic. Probably in an attempt to get as far away from the hotheaded blonde as possible. Your frown deepened as she stomped through the hallways to try and find them. You trudged through the common room and looked out the window, delighted to see that they had finally stepped outside. Still, your headache wasn’t going away and they were the reason for it. The pain felt like your own boyfriend was frying your brain instead of his own. This was not something you were used to. The pain mixed with annoyance only made you angrier. On a rage fueled mission you decided to take the problem right to the source.
Your descent to the ground was filled with a lot of mumblings about how you could’ve picked any other boy to date, but your stupid heart had to fall in love with a spark plug. You could be spending your time in a quiet dorm right now with Todoroki as he read. But noooo, you just had to fall for the instigator of the bakusquad. As annoyed as you were with him and his disaster double right now, you knew deep down that you wouldn’t change a thing about the boy. He cheered you up to no end and always put you first before anything else. That didn’t change the fact that right now you were on a war path.
When you finally got outside you were surprised to see Kirishima sitting on rock laughing and observing the situation before him. You crept up behind him to watch as well before yelling at the boys. It seemed that Sero had finally been caught by the notorious King Explosion Murder and was passed out on the ground. Denki was being cornered between a bush and his friend when he made eye contact with his girlfriend.
“Hey Y/N! Want to help me out here?” He said darting his eyes around the area trying to look for an escape route. Bakugo was closing in even further. You weighed out the options in your hands of letting Bakugo blow your boyfriend to kingdom come. On one hand the boy would get what was likely coming to him for annoying the blonde, but on the other you didn’t want him to be turned into some kind of punching bag. Kirishima had turned to you when Denki called out your name and sent you a sharp toothed smile.
“C’mon Kaminari, having L/N stand in your way is so unmanly don’t you think?” Kiri said while turning back to the boys. You sighed and pinched the brim of your nose finally ready to make yourself known to the seething predator. You felt all of the annoyance come to the surface of your being and let loose all of your frustration on the three unsuspecting boys.
“Actually, I came out here to tell you all to SHUT UP. I’VE HAD A HEADACHE FOR THE PAST THIRTY MINUTES AND I NEED TO FINISH MY HOMEWORK BEFORE TOMORROW SO I CAN STAY ON TOP OF MY GRADES. YOU IDIOTS ARE DISTURBING THE WHOLE DORMS AND FOR WHAT!? JUST BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO MESS WITH BAKUGO AGAIN? OR JST BECAUSE SOME STUPID INSTIGATORS GOT UNDER YOUR SKIN?” Your rant had begun and there was no way of stopping it now. All three of the conscious boys now stared at you. Bakugo seemed to be waiting for the moment to interject and throw it right back at you. Kirishima stood up next to you as you paused and opened his mouth to say something in return. “AND YOU! YOUR JUST SITTING AROUND AND LETTING THIS HAPPEN? WE HAVE EXAMS IN TWO WEEKS AND ALL OF YOU ARE JUST CHASING EACH OTHER AROUND? IT’S STUPID AND CHILDISH.” There was a feeling growing in your stomach that felt a lot like regret but you just simply gave each one of them a glare and turned on your heel. It was easy to yell at them all when they were rendered speechless. You had never yelled at any of them, ever.
The guilty feeling in your stomach didn’t subside as you ran back upstairs. You hoped none of them would follow you back in, due to the fact that you were so embarrassed on how you just acted. They were some of your best friends and didn’t deserved to be yelled at simply because you had a headache. You should have resorted to some kind of soft spoken tactic instead of the rash outburst.
Just as you were about to reach the top of the staircase you heard footfalls behind you. You took two stairs at a time trying to reach the door before they could catch you, but found yourself being tugged when you finally reached the landing. Your wrist was in someones hold. You looked down at the attachment and saw a hand that had become very known to you. You dragged your eyes up the figure and felt yourself deflate when your eyes met those of your boyfriends. You stood on the landing right above him, as he stared up at you through his lashes. His face was in an odd kind of grimace mixed with a frown. He seemed to be carefully choosing his words on what he was going to say next. Something you had never seen him do a day since you had known him.
“I know you’re mad. I also know that you’re in pain and all that loud noise probably sucked hearing but I just wanted to make sure you were okay.” He looked up at you with a melancholy look in his eyes. “I didn’t want to cause you any kind of discomfort, we just stole Bakugo’s earphones because he was ignoring us while we were all doing homework in Kirishima’s room, it got out of hand as you saw. I truly am sorry Y/N. I-I don’t want you to feel any kind of pain ever and it sucks that we caused this outburst from you. Please don’t be angry with me anymore, I can change and not steal stuff from him anymore, I-I can make sure to be quiet always and-“ His words were cut off as you pulled him up to the same level as you and gave him a hug. He stayed still for a second wondering how it happened so fast before he melted in your arms. You knew your outburst would make Denki upset, but you still did it. “I just can’t lose you because I am so obnoxious. You can’t leave me please.”
You realized how Denki was processing this and hugged him even tighter to yourself. Your head was still throbbing but the thrum of his heart against your temple felt nice for a few seconds. “I could never leave you dummy. You’re the light in my life. I just freaked out because I don’t understand anything that’s happening in math right now and couldn’t focus on it. That on top of the headache made me see red and I’m so sorry that you feel like you have to change just because I yelled at you. Your not obnoxious Denki… You’re perfect.” With every end of a sentence you felt your grip on him grow even tighter. Soon enough he was tapping on your shoulder to let you know he needed new found air. When he stepped away from you, you saw the normal spark behind his eyes. Something that made your heart fill back up with joy.
“I just want to give you endless headaches for however long you’ll let me.” You laughed at his statement as he looked at you with that same shit-eating grin. His eyes turned serious once more as he rested a hand on your shoulder. “But, even so I am sorry Y/N, I never thought I would see you lose your cool like that. It sucks that we’re the reason why it happened. Even if you let me give you headaches in the future, I promise from now on I will always bring you advil and make sure you’re involved in the fun only after we finish all of our work together.” You felt a smile growing on your face at his sincerity. Something that was rare to be seen, but a side you got to see very often. Denki’s hand traveled lower onto your arm and laced his fingers with your own.
“I love you Denki, headaches and all. I’m sorry I blew up and scared you. That wasn’t my intention.” You smiled up at the spark-plug and nudged his shoulder slightly.
“I love you to Y/N.” He placed a kiss onto of your forehead and seemed to rest there for a second as he thought of something. “Uhhh, we should probably go back down there because when I came up here Kirishima was banging his head against the tree for ‘The unmanly act of causing someone pain that was unwarranted’.” You felt your cheeks light up at the news of the other boys that you reprimanded.
“Yeah I should probably apologize to them..” You said trailing off as you looked up at your boyfriends calculating gaze.
“Orrr, you could make them think your still mad and have Sero and Kirishima waiting on you hand and foot for the rest of the day! I mean the most you could probably get out of blondie would be some math help, but who knows may he even feels bad.” You weighed out the options once again today of which path to take. And felt the mischief that Denki has instilled in your heart flare up. You looked back up at him mirroring the spark he held in his eyes.
“Lets do it.” You said taking the stairs two at a time again, but this time your hand was wrapped in Denki’s.

Rock Versus Needle
Request: Basically Kirishima already got a few piercings, but he’s worried his quirk will break the tattoo gun at the shop he’s at so he enlists Shinsou to brainwash him… Also Kiri looking really blissed out and dazed? ( By @ride-the-bifrost )
Prompt: (Requested) Kirishima was fine with getting piercings, but after one disaster at a tattoo parlor, he realizes he won’t be able to ink his skin unless he enlisted some help… And Shinso just happened to be in the neighborhood.
Pairing: Shinsou x Kirishima
Rating: Fluff! (Beginning of a romance?... ;3), some dirty thoughts
Words: 4,464 (DID I GO OVERBOARD?! IM SO SORRY)
-----------------------------------------------------------
“I’m sorry, you want me to do what?”
Shinsou stared at his red-haired friend, one brow propped up in slight surprise. The pair sat in a quiet cafe, with a cup of steaming coffee in front of each of them. However, both mugs sat untouched. Shinsou leaned forward, trapping his beverage between his elbows as he clasped his hands above it, resting his lips against his thumbs thoughtfully. Across from the table was Kirishima, who was currently fiddling with the stud in his earlobe. He was nervous, that much was easy to see, but Shinsou wasn’t exactly sure why. He leaned back in his chair, violet eyes scanning over Kiri’s figure as he patiently waited for a response. He let his eyes linger on the visible piercings that his friend already owned, from the dark studs in his lobes to the silver hoops that climbed up the shell of his ear. On each of his eyebrows was a curved barbell; one of his latest piercings added to his ever expanding collection.
“I wanted you to use your quirk on me… At a tattoo parlor.” Kiri’s voice was unnaturally quiet, and his tongue darted out to swipe his bottom lip, the steel of his tongue piercing glinted before disappearing back into his mouth. Part of Shinsou wondered how that cold steel would feel against his own tongue, but he quickly shook the thought away. He didn’t want to start another hopeless crush; not after the first one failed so drastically.
Kiri sighed, louder this time, and dropped his head into his hands on the table. “It was just so… So embarrassing!” Shinsou winced at his volume, which was bordering on wailing at this point, and noticed a few of the other customers glancing in their direction. “I knew it was going to hurt, but I wasn’t expecting my quirk to go off and break the poor guy’s gun! He said it was okay, but I gave him money for a replacement anyways, and oh man… It was just so unmanly of me to not control myself. And now I’m scared to do it again, not because of the tattoo gun, although that little guy is expensive…” Kiri was starting to ramble, acting oblivious to Shinsou’s presence and disappearing into his own thoughts. The action reminded Shinsou of Midoriya, and a small grin flew across his lips. “And money isn’t much of a problem since we’re pros now, but I don’t want to gain the rep of the one guy who’ll destroy your tattoo gun in the blink of an eye, ya know? And-”
Shinsou waved his hand, halting Kiri in his verbal tracks. “Okay, okay. I get it. Did you ever have the same problem with your piercings?”
“No! Those were practically nothing; the pain was there for a second, then gone! But as soon as that needle hit my skin…” He shuddered at the memory. “Man, I’ve been told that it was going to be painful, but that was not like being scratched by a cat, let me tell you!” Shinsou grinned at that answer, knowing what he was referring to. When he had gotten his first tattoo, the artist had told him the same thing, that ‘it’ll feel like being scratched by a cat over and over, no worries honey!’ when in actuality, it was much worse than that. Shinsou knew what it felt like to be scratched by a cat - he had several of them to know - and that was not it.
“Alright, I’ll help you… on one condition.” Kiri’s face brightened up almost instantly, and Shinsou wanted oh-so-badly to lean across the table and smash his lips to the other man’s, yet held back. “If I do this, you’ve gotta cover for dinner.” Kiri laughed at the trade, immediately agreeing and beginning to bubble with excited chatter. Shinsou, however, found himself with a sense of dread; he said he didn’t want to get another crush, yet here he was, setting up dinner for him and a supposed friend that he may have been a little attracted to… Okay, maybe a lot attracted to. He knew he shouldn’t have been, but after the break up between Kiri and Bakugou, Shinsou had become the red-head’s closest friend. He didn’t want to ruin that because of feelings, and he didn’t plan to. Sooner or later, they’d disappear, Shinsou told himself.
Right?
-----------------------------------
If Kirishima was going to be honest, he was terrified of asking Shinsou for his help.
As the two continued down the sidewalk, towards the tattoo parlor that was just able to squeeze Kiri in for a quick appointment, he couldn’t help but continually glance at his violet-eyed friend. Did he think Kiri was more unmanly now? Was he debating on staying as his friend? Did Shinsou hate Kiri for asking him to use his quirk for something so silly? Kiri hoped he didn’t. He liked having Shinsou as a friend, and his looks weren’t all too bad either. Not that Kiri would ever say that aloud; he valued their friendship too much to lose Shinsou because of a little crush.
Kiri looked away from Shinsou, instead daydreaming about the things that have happened to him so far to get him to this point in life. After him and Kat- Bakugou had broken up, Kiri had felt so lost. They’d been glued to the hip since high school, dated for 2 years, before Kirishima had ended the relationship after catching the infamous hot-head in a not-so-accidental position with his “arch nemesis” Midoriya. First, he had been upset, crying for what felt like forever and locking himself in his apartment… Then he was angry, to the point that he made it known to the tabloids who Ground Zero had an affair with, when it had happened, and so forth; all with his usual bright smile on his face. Essentially, it had plummeted Bakugou to the bottom of the popularity scale, especially since he was pretty mouthy to begin with.
After ruining that, Kiri started to go more heavily on his piercings. Before, he only had the two innocent studs in his ears; but that quickly escalated to the metal that now climbed up his entire ear, to the piercings on his eyebrow and tongue, and finally to the most painful of the piercings on his, ahem… miniature Red Riot. Now that was a pain he wasn’t expecting either, but it still didn’t punch him the same way as the attempted tattoo had.
He looked at Shinsou again, catching his violet eyes in his own amber ones, and felt a light blush rise to his cheeks. Shinsou cocked his head to the side. “Are you nervous? You seem to be zoning out.” Shinsou asked curiously. Kiri immediately shook his head, placing a grin on his lips and flashing two thumbs-up in his friend’s direction. “Nah, I’m ready to go! Let’s get this rolli-”
And then he walked straight into a telephone pole.
“Kiri!” Shinsou grabbed his upper arm just as Kiri began to stumble backwards, eyes dazed and blinking, as if unsure on what had just happened. “Jeez, are you okay? You should’ve looked at where you were going instead of at me. I know I’m handsome, but still…” Shinsou’s attempt at a joke managed to make Kiri laugh, if only slightly, before he gently shook of his friend’s hand from his bicep. “I’m okay, I’m okay! I’ve taken tougher hits than that, you know!” As if to prove his point, he activated his quirk and hardened his face, sharp teeth still out for display in a face-breaking smile.
Shinsou sighed, running one hand through his unruly hair, but smiled back nonetheless. “Good thing we’re almost there. You’re sure you’re alright?” He reached a hand out, brushing it against Kiri’s forehead softly. Kiri’s face erupted with heat, turning as red as his dyed hair. “Y-yeah! I’m okay! Weshouldreallygetgoingcmonletsgo.” He practically spit out his words before rushing forward, placing both of his palms on his cheeks as if to hide his blush. Jeez, was he a high school girl in a shoujo manga or something? Hopefully Shinsou didn’t think that was too weird. He risked glancing behind him, watching as Shinsou’s eyes furrowed but followed close behind him.
Shinsou wasn’t exaggerating when he said they were nearing the tattoo shop; it sat at the corner of the street, a neon light blinking in its window to signal that the doors were open to all who dared to enter. For a moment, Kiri felt a chill slide down his spine, and a flashback to the days prior. He was about to turn around and call it quits for the day, yet Shinsou’s hand stopped him. It was warm against his bare forearm, and as the sleeve lifted up, Kiri could see the beginning of his tattoo. Kiri gulped. Not because of nerves, as Shinsou probably thought, but because Kiri had the urge to turn around and abandon the shop to instead shove the quiet man into a wall and kiss him until their lips were bruised. He jumped back for a moment, forcing Shinsou to drop his hand, and grinned weakly. “No time to waste!” He managed to slip the words past his lips before entering the building, trying to shake off the yearning feelings that were beginning to build. He could hear Shinsou sigh behind him, but didn’t think much of it; if Kiri had turned around to look at the purple-haired man, he probably would’ve noticed that Shinsou might’ve been having the same yearning thoughts as him.
The tattoo shop was clean inside, with one wall lined with seats and the other with framed artwork, most likely from the artists available. Straight across from the doorway was a long bar-like surface that blocked off the artists from the customers until both were ready, and in front of the register was a young woman with hair dyed as green as her vibrant eyes. She lifted her attention from her book just as the pair entered, a friendly smile growing on her lips.
“Shin! Long time no see!” She greeted the hero, placing a marker in her novel before closing it. “Were you here to add to the collection already?”
Shinsou laughed, and Kiri noticed the way his shoulder seemed to slouch with comfort. Oh, Kiri thought, eyeing the pair as they talked. This isn’t any tattoo place; this is Shinsou’s go-to. Knowing that the place was one that Shinsou held at such a high regard made Kiri feel warm inside, as if he was making a prominent connection with the violet-eyed man. He stared at the back of his head longingly.
The girl at the front desk craned her neck, eyes straying from Shinsou to instead land on Kiri. Her grin seemed to widen, if that were possible. “And I’d recognize that firetruck-red hair anywhere! Red Riot, am I right?” Kiri shook himself out of his trance and stepped forward with his hand out and his usual smirk. “That’s me! But call me Kirishima, since I’m off-duty!” The comment made the girl tip her head back and laugh as she met his large hand with her small one.
“Well, you’re funny at least.” She said, shooting a look in Shinsou’s direction as if to give him a signal. He shrugged her off, and she redirected her attention back to the awkward pro-hero beside him, releasing his hand in the process. “Have you come to add some ink to that virgin skin of yours?”
“How did you know?”
“Call it a woman’s intellect.”
Shinsou snorted, and dodged just seconds away from being smacked in the face by a flying pen. “Don’t make me angry, or I’ll make your next tattoo your last!” She threatened, although it held no malice in its words.
“Oh! Are you an artist too?”
She looked back to Kirishima with a wicked glint in her eyes. “Oh, I’m the artist to go to, honey. I go by Bambi.” She pointed to a small cardboard sign to her right, and Kiri read the store’s logo for the first time; Bambi’s Ink Corner: For All of Your Good and Bad Decisions.
“So! Since we’ve established that, was there any design specifically I could do for you?”
Feeling more at ease than before, the three of them moved past the bar and further into the parlor, sitting down in plush seats. Shinsou and Kiri sat beside one another, shoulders brushing, with Bambi across from the pair with a sketchbook opened up on her lap and balanced on her knee. Bambi forced Kiri to dictate a majority of the conversation, eyes jumping from her book to the red-haired man as she encouraged him to continue talking about himself, throwing in a few questions here and there. Not even five minutes had passed before Bambi had raised her hand up, halting Kiri mid-sentence. “Okay, I think I’ve got it. Let me know what you think- actually, you come over here. Let’s keep it as a surprise for Sir Stares-a-Lot next to you. Have you even blinked in the past few minutes?” She directed the jab at Shinsou, who rolled his eyes as he looked at Bambi instead, as a light blush dusted his pale cheeks. Kiri, ever so gullible, only blinked in response and moved towards the woman, eyes flitting down to her sketchbook.
Almost immediately, his eyes widened in shock. “Woah! This is amazing!” He gasped, earning a tinkling laugh from Bambi. Shinsou raised a brow at the pair, but kept his lips tight. “Is this for me?” Kiri finally connected the puzzle pieces together, and his face brightened after Bambi nodded.
“We could get the outline done today, and if you decide that you want it colored later on, we can do that too.”
“Y-Yes! That sounds amazing!”
Bambi smiled, and stood from her chair. “Alright! Let’s get started, then. Follow me.”
Kiri could feel the nerves kicking in once more, and he risked a glance at Shinsou, who had already gone back to staring at him. Immediately his ears reddened, but Shinsou didn’t move his gaze. “You’re going to do fine. I’m here for you.” The words probably didn’t mean too much, yet they still had Kiri mentally squealing at how romantic it seemed to sound. Instead, he squared his shoulders and followed Bambi. Shinsou’s shoulder brushed Kiri’s once more, yet Kiri brushed it off as an accident, not realizing that Shinsou liked the warmth that radiated from the red-head’s body. Even if Kiri didn’t realize, Bambi did, and she shot Shinsou a wiggle of her eyebrows.
“Alright, Rock Man. Any specific place you wanted to get this bad boy?”
“Ah… Maybe my back?”
“Back it is, then. Shirt off, stomach down on the table.”
Kiri shot another look at the quiet man accompanying him. Kiri was in fit shape - he worked out constantly, even when it was his day off - but suddenly he felt insecure to show it off in front of Shinsou. After a moment’s hesitation, however, he grasped the hem of his t-shirt and yanked it over his head in one swift movement.
Shinsou had to fight the urge to stare down at the other man's bare torso, and crossed his arms over his chest self-consciously as he risked a glance at the tattoo artist instead. Luckily, Kiri’s face was still hidden in the cloth of his shirt, since the look on Bambi’s left Shinsou with a blush and a stutter. Of course Kiri’s body was well-toned; he was a Pro-Hero of Japan, after all. Compared to his own body, however, Shinsou was a stick. A lanky, lanky stick. Idly, he wondered if Kiri would appreciate his body the same way that Shinsou would. The blush on his pale cheeks deepened.
With the shirt out of the way, Kiri followed Bambi’s directions, arms tucked under his cheek as he rested on his stomach, his toned back out on display for all to see. He shot his purple-haired companion a nervous grin. “This should be a piece of cake, huh?” He laughed, although his voice held the same tenseness his eyes did.
Bambi began prep immediately, slapping on a pair of vinyl gloves and wiping a semi-clear liquid on Kiri’s back. Automatically he jumped up, the coolness of the gel waking him from his own thoughts, and Shinsou smiled at his reaction. “You’ve already got it traced and ready to go?” Kiri asked, eyes moving to Bambi as she sat on a nearby stool, dropping dark ink into a tiny container that was barely the width of Kiri’s thumb. While this was his first tattoo, Kiri had seen enough of his friends get them, as well as the numerous ‘What To Expect…’ videos that flooded his computer. Bambi swung her attention to Shinsou, eyes narrowed, but quickly answered the question. “Of course Shinsou wouldn’t tell you, but I don’t need to. That’s my quirk, sort of; seeing things that aren’t there. So while you don’t see any stencil, I can. All in my mind’s eyes.” She tapped her temple, smirking. “It’s great for a tattoo artist, but not so practical for a Pro-Hero, ya know?”
Kiri breathed out a sigh of relief, yet his shoulders were still tense, especially when Bambi placed her gloved hand on his shoulder in warning. “Ready?” Her voice was light, and came right before the buzzing of the needle. Kiri’s ruby eyes strayed to Shinsou, whose gaze was already trained on the tattoo victim. “Are you ready?” He repeated the question, and after a moment of hesitance Kiri nodded. “I’m ready to roll-” He cut himself off, eyes glazing over as Shinsou’s quirk quickly went into effect. A twinge of guilt rolled through the silent man, yet he clenched his teeth as he remembered that Kiri had asked this of him. “Keep calm, okay? Don’t use your quirk until I say you can, and don’t move no matter what.” Shinsou’s voice was deep, and sleepily Kiri nodded in response, hazy eyes still trained on Shinsou as Bambi began to start. Kiri wasn’t even fazed by the needle as it dug into his skin; instead, a blissed look had overtaken, and a chill ran down Shinsou’s spine as he realized how… dirty his red-haired friend looked at this moment. He repeated his command to Kiri in his mind, tasting the dominance of them, and felt his cock twitch. Don’t you dare, he commanded, glaring at himself. You damn pervert. You’re just helping a friend, so keep your head. He turned back to Kiri, Bambi fixated intently on his back as she worked, and continued to speak softly to the dazed man. “Stay relaxed. What makes you relaxed? You can tell me.”
Although a part of Kiri was lost to Shinsou’s quirk, another part was completely aware of the situation. He knew his body wasn’t responding to him, and knew it was because of Shinsou’s quirk; and he didn’t mind. Not one bit. Partly because he trusted his friend to not cause him any harm, but also because he could stare at his friend so plainly without any worry of being caught. He liked the way Shinsou’s tired eyes stared at him too, unflinching and unwavering. It soothed him. His mouth moved just as the quiet man had asked it to, and Kiri wasn’t sure if the answer was correct or not. “Flowers relax me. Carnations have the best smell, and they remind me of my mom’s house. A warm bowl of ramen with pork. Your eyes. Rom-com movies where…” Kiri’s dreamed-out voice faded from Shinsou’s attention as he froze up, registering the red-head’s words as he leaned forward. His eyes? That wasn’t what he was expecting.
“My eyes? Why?” He asked softly, and Bambi’s eyes flitted to his for a moment before she reabsorbed herself back into her work, tuning their conversation out. Kiri blinked slowly, and a dazed smile graced his lips as he answered. “They’re always so calm. I like that. They make my thoughts go quiet too, and that relaxes me.” His voice was quiet, still holding its usual Kiri-charm, yet more soft somehow. Kiri was always loud, even when he didn’t mean to be. Was that what he meant? That Shinsou’s eyes could quiet him down? Or was Shinsou just grasping at straws?
He shook himself out of his thoughts, ready to talk once more, before Kiri piped up again. “Your face relaxes me, too. Especially when you smile, which you don’t do a lot.” He sighed, his eyes closing for a moment. “I want to make you smile a lot.”
Shinsou felt giddy, which was rare. Was this a confession of sorts? It sounded like one. He wanted to pursue it, so badly that he almost wanted to jab at Kiri until his drunk-like state had spilled all of his emotions, but Shinsou knew he couldn’t do that. It’d be unfair to Kiri, and just imagining that situation happening to himself seemed embarrassing enough. Instead, he pursed his lips, letting a few beats of silence carry that conversation away, before continuing to murmur words of comfort, keeping Kiri under his control.
Kiri, on the other hand, was absolutely mortified.
How could he say all of that?! Oh god, if there had been any moment of his life where he had thought this is the most embarrassing moment of my life, then this would be it. He couldn’t even control what he was saying, yet listening to himself spew out the truth like a water fountain had him mentally banging his head against a concrete wall. And Shinsou’s reaction! It was so blank, shock only registering for a millisecond before it was wiped away. What was he thinking about all of Kiri’s words? Did he not like him in that way? Of course he didn’t… doesn’t. Kiri swore to himself. Why would he? You’re nothing special.
The session went on for at least an hour - Kiri wasn’t sure, but it felt longer than that - until Bambi finally dropped her needle onto the metal tray to her side. She swiped the back of her hand over her glistening forehead. “Okay! Done for the day!” As soon as the words had left her lips, Kiri’s eyes flooded with life once more, and he gasped at the newfound soreness that covered his back. It didn’t hurt, not at all; he compared it to a bruise. A very, very big bruise. Shinsou was right beside him in a moment. “You alright? How’s your head?” The concern was endearing, but all Kiri could focus on was the palm resting on his outer shoulder, as Shinsou’s face reflected back in his mind from earlier. His cheeks exploded in red. “G-good to go!” He shouted a bit too loudly, and practically leapt out of his chair, wincing slightly at the sudden movement.
Bambi, of course, almost threw a fit when he moved, and lightly slapped his bare chest before finishing him up, hiding the new ink with a large black pad and securing it with clear plastic wrap. She explained the care instruction to him, even handing him a print-out of the instructions as she continued to speak, and it was at that moment that Shinsou realized he had no idea what tattoo his friend had gotten. He hasn't strayed from the red-head’s eyes the entire time. He mentally cursed himself as Kiri gingerly replaced his shirt back onto his torso.
“It’s pretty big, so make sure to wash it carefully in an hour or so. Shinsou’s gotcha if you need help, which you probably will. Right?” Her bright eyes strayed to the said man’s and he nodded. “Great. Well, thanks for the business! Head home before it gets dark, okay?”
“Wait! I haven’t paid yet!’
Bambi snorted at Kiri’s response. “Well, of course not. Shinsou already did that.”
Kiri immediately turned to Shinsou, nearly breaking his neck in the process. “But- Why- You didn’t-” He stumbled over his words, and Shinsou grinned. That seemed to shut him up quickly enough.
“Think of it as a belated gift. You’re welcome.”
Kiri’s face bloomed. “Jeez, man. You’re too nice.” He raised his hand to rest on Shinsou’s arm, but paused in mid-air, before deciding to gently fist-bump his shoulder instead. As Kiri headed to the exit, Shinsou cocked his head at him in confusion. From the counter, Bambi sighed. “Ugh. You two, I swear.” She muttered, but before Shinsou could question her further, she rushed forward and practically shoved him out of the shop, promptly locking the door behind him. He grunted at her force, and luckily Kiri had turned around to see what the commotion was about to catch the purple-eyed man. “Woah! You okay?” Kiri asked, and Shinsou fought down the blush that threatened to rise as Kiri’s strong arms wrapped around his thin frame. It was a nice feeling, and Kiri’s body radiated warmth, making Shinsou wish to lean into him more. Hell, after the dazed conversation from moments ago, he almost did. Then he remembered that Kiri hadn’t been in his right mind during the time, and untangled himself from the red-head’s embrace.
“Yes, thank you.” Shinsou’s voice sounded uncomfortably stiff to his own ears, but Kiri didn’t seem to notice as he smiled. “Alright! Well, I was hoping you’d help me wash this bad boy when the time comes, and I’m pretty sure I’ve got the ingredients needed for some pork ramen… For some reason, it sounds really good right now. Are you interested?”
A hesitant lump lodged itself in Shinsou’s throat. Kiri’s apartment. Just the two of them. Was that even a valid question? “Sure. Lead the way.” Kiri pumped his fist into the air at Shinsou’s response, a beautiful grin spreading across his lips.
“All right! Let’s goooo!” He was practically skipping down the street, and it was only after he had turned away that Shinsou permitted the redness to spread from his ears to his cheeks. Awkwardly, he slapped his palms across them, as if trying to hide his embarrassment. Just friends. He repeated in his head, following the loud man as he tried to calm his racing heart. We’re just friends, and after I talk to him about my eyes, I’ll make sure of that. He doesn’t like me like that.
Shinsou continued to repeat the words in his head, not noticing how Kiri’s own face had heated up in a similar way as he walked. He had been repeating a similar mantra in his head, although the only difference in his was what if he feels the same way?
Kiri planned to get to the bottom of that question over a bowl of pork ramen, whether Shinsou was prepared for it or not.

BnHA Chapter 172: Festival Planning and New Attack Training
Previously on BnHA: We spent some time with Gentle, our New Villain who commits chivalrous crimes to punish the worst scum of society, such as guys who sell expired pudding. He’s not as popular as that trendy League of Villains because he’s not big on violence. But he does have a new project up his sleeves! Meanwhile at U.A., class A got to work planning their cultural festival program. Jirou was in need of a drummer, and Bakugou somehow ended up getting volunteered. Turns out he’s actually pretty good, but he was reluctant to perform because he overheard some jerks from the department of gen ed talking shit about class A and blaming them for starting trouble all the time. So he wasn’t keen on the idea of performing to indulge these people. However he is on board to aggressively “knock them dead with his sound”, whatever that means! Everyone was like “...well all right then!” And everything was looking up. And then we found out that Gentle plans to invade U.A. during the festival. Because apparently we can never have nice things.
Today on BnHA: Jirou recruits the rest of the band members: Momo on keyboard, Tokoyami and Kaminari on guitar, and her own self on vocals. A handful of kids -- Todoroki, Kirishima, Sero, Kouda, and Aoyama -- are assigned to the “staging” team in charge of making everything look cool. And the rest of the kids are assigned to the Dance Team, including IIDA FUCKING TENYA, because when I tell you guys this manga always delivers everything I want, I mean ev.ery.thing. With that settled, Deku meets with All Might the next day and discusses his recent progress (or lack thereof) with One for All. All Might tells Deku he needs to develop a long-range attack, and they head out to the woods for some training. Deku learns that 20% Full Cowl gives him enough power to unleash wind pressure attacks. And with a little nudging, All Might gets Deku to realize he can create a new attack by activating 20% OFA in specific parts of his body, the way he did back before he mastered Full Cowl. Then to end the chapter, we cut to Aizawa and Mirio, who are bringing Eri to visit U.A. for the very first time.
(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 199 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)
look who knows how to play the piano because she’s so stinkin’ rich!
MOMOJIROU IS ALIVE AND WELL, PEOPLE
oh my god look how cute she is
look how cute they are. GOD THIS IS THE BEST
Jirou says she’s gonna be on bass, so they just have guitar and vocals left!
cool cool. they can get literally anyone to do those and I’ll be happy. anyone EXCEPT Iida, that is. because Iida needs to be on that dance floor you guys
lol Todoroki
I’m fucking dying. Todoroki is nailing that space alien combination of “knows just enough to ask oddly specific questions while still somehow being totally naive and clueless”
Mina is explaining to those unaware that “staging” refers to things that set the atmosphere, such as disco balls, sparklers, streamers, etc.
I wonder if putting Aoyama in charge of that would lead to success or disaster
ooh, apparently Aizawa made arrangements to borrow the gym! so they’ll really have room to go nuts
I have no idea what’s going on in Mina’s head you guys but omg
yes. yes. I can see it now
this girl has a fucking VISION and she will not be deterred
TEAM SNOWMAN
okay so I’m fairly convinced now that Mina might actually be a creative genius and they should really let her loose more often in training. let that imagination go wild and see where it takes you. she could come up with some extremely unpredictable strategies. I’m serious
amazingly, no one is even arguing this except for Aoyama lol. he’s standing there all “I’m the disco ball?” while the rest of them are all “oh is this what you meant by teaming up? cool beans”
(ETA: no one argued it because this is literally what they ended up doing. pretty sure the staging team had one planning meeting and were all “okay, so basically just do all that stuff Mina said?” and agreed on it and then spent the rest of the month playing on their phones while pretending to work real hard. they didn’t even bother to work out the actual logistics of it until basically the night before. this is why Deku hadn’t checked that fucking rope you guys.)
I want to save this panel and use it as a meme reaction image omg
and that clack you see is the sound of the intern kids finally returning from their supplementary courses!
they’re excited to also get in on this!
Ochako is surprised that Jirou’s not singing!
-- oh no
when I said “literally anyone” I should have been just slightly more specific huh
oh thank god they’re making these guys try out first
I can’t fucking wait to see this in the anime omg
Hagakure says that Jirou’s singing is actually amazing and she thinks she should be on vocals
but Jirou really doesn’t want to and says it’s just gonna complicate things
but they’re all encouraging her!
oh my god she’s gonna do it!
AND THEY ALL LOVE IT
can’t fucking wait. omg. it’s gonna be like a whole year, but hopefully it’ll be worth it
so now Jirou says they need two guitarists
Kaminari is volunteering which is GREAT because Jirou and Momo are already there, so yeah
but Mineta is also volunteering which is. less great
oh my god
at this point the list of people I ship Bakugou with is significantly longer than the list of people I don’t ship him with, I think
OH NO MINETA CAN’T REACH THE FRET BOARD “BECAUSE OF HIS CHARACTER DESIGN.” OH WHAT A TRAGEDY. OH WELL
sometimes Horikoshi does nice things. I’ll admit
GASP
YESSSSSSSSSSS
THIS IS AMAZINGGGG. DREAM BAND. RIGHT HERE
Mineta is sulking and the girls are taking pity on him, and honestly I don’t mind it. weirdly. because it’s one of the few times he’s not being a little troll. he just looks small and sad
MAYBE I’M JUST FEELING GENEROUS TODAY. Mineta, you can exist today
like, even when Mina offers him a “harem part”, he doesn’t turn completely gross, he just kind of goes red a bit. I’m completely fine with this. Horikoshi can write this toned down version of Mineta and I’m cool with it. but I’m sure it won’t last though. alas
(ETA: my biggest problem with Mineta is that he beat Mirio in that goddamn poll his character has no purpose other than being obnoxious. he literally has no other personality traits besides “pervert.” if Horikoshi made even the slightest attempt to tone down that bullshit and actually try to do more with him I’d probably make more of an effort to at least tolerate him. but alas, that ship has sailed I think.)
holy shit how late did they stay up planning this??
you actually got Bakugou to stay up 5 whole hours past his bedtime. incredible
AND HERE THEY ARE
do you guys think Bakugou knows how to do that thing where you twirl the drumstick around on your fingers
also if he doesn’t get to shout “WE ARE SEX BOB-OMB!!!! ONE TWO THREE FOUR!” then I will forever be upset about the opportunity wasted. in fact, it’s happening in my mind whether Horikoshi likes it or not. that is canon. prove me wrong
(ETA: I have my own mental version of this entire performance and let me tell you, it is very specific)
AND IIDA FUCKING TENYA IS ON THE DANCE TEAM! WE DID IT TUMBLR
I’m gonna play some Yeah Yeah Yeahs because right now that’s kind of my mental image for what the band might sound like lol
so now we’re cutting to the break room the next day and Izuku is having some tea with dad
it’s very cute but also All Might’s wondering if Deku had something he specifically wanted to talk to him about, since he’s meeting up with him at such a busy time
geez All Might can’t a boy just have some TEA with his DAD without being INTERROGATED, GEEZ
but also he’s 100% right to ask, and he does it so gently so that Deku can either take the invitation to talk, or decline politely if he so chooses. All Might really is the best
sure enough, Deku does have something on his mind!
he’s telling All Might about how he was able to bring out 20% of OFA under duress, but only for a short time, and even then it put a ton of strain on his body. not only that but it wasn’t even enough to win
so he’s trying to figure out how he should fight in the current situation, since he can’t master 100% yet
um whoa
say what now??
I mean like, obviously yes, that would be ideal. but are you implying that there’s some sort of obvious long-range move he should be able to figure out?
Izuku says he wants to learn how to do a weather-altering technique (and I forgot All Might could do those; has he even done it since the opening chapter?), but right now he’s not able yet
but All Might says he has “a few other...” and then he trails off
and he’s saying they should change locations
omg. I’m so hyped!?!
so now they’re in a forested area on the school grounds, and Deku has changed into his gym uniform
is this still during school hours. and Deku still has those supplemental lessons on top of that. All Might doesn’t have any classes he’s supposed to be teaching either? just drop all of your fucking responsibilities then why don’t you
All Might is telling Deku to break out 20% full cowl, and Deku is hesitating
“YEAH!! IT’S FINE!” lol okay then
so here we go!
this is always so badass. and I appreciate it so much more when it’s not in the context of a super dragged out fight coming on the tail end of 40 chapters of nonsense
:D what’s he gonna doooo
WHOA
UH, DAMN!?
DEKU DID YOU NOT REALIZE THAT YOU HAD BECOME A TOTAL FUCKING BADASS??!
Deku is wincing though and he’s saying “but in any case, my body’s...”
but All Might is wagging a finger in a knowing way and he’s telling Deku to look back at his journey
damn we got like a powerpoint and everything
does Deku’s mind just naturally think this way. because he’s trained it through all of that obsessive note-taking. I realize this is mostly for our benefit, but it really wouldn’t surprise me if his thoughts actually were this organized
anyways his eyes are widening, because he’s clearly drawn some conclusion from this pattern that I have yet to see! I don’t have a big hero brain like you Deku
GASP
All Might says he wasn’t always bringing out 100% himself??
oh shit
so since he is capable of holding 20% briefly without doing permanent damage to himself, then if he combines points two and six -- drawing out 20% OFA to a specific part of his body -- then he can utilize this badass new air attack!
though All Might says it’s gonna be harder than it sounds, and that it requires significantly more nuanced control
so Deku’s thinking that he’s gonna practice with his fingers
oh god
I’m still traumatized from that fight against Todoroki honestly. I look at this and can’t help but think “oh shit he’s gonna snap them all one by one” oh my god. it’s making me very uncomfortable even though I’m fully aware it’s not actually going to happen. Deku you’ve fucked me up
oh snap and we’re fast-forwarding to the day of the cultural fest!!
(ETA: lol no, I just thought this because I saw Eri there. jumped the gun just a bit)
OH MY GODDD
MIRIO IS THE SWEETEST, PUREST, GENTLEST, KINDEST SOUL ON PLANET EARTH AND IT’S SO DAMN GREAT
DON’T THINK I DIDN’T NOTICE THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD THERE, AIZAWA SHOUTA. OBVIOUSLY YOU HAD TO BE THERE WHEN THEY WENT TO PICK HER UP
ERIIIIII
SHE’S SO CUTE!! WEARING DIFFERENT CLOTHES FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!! DID THEY GET HER FUCKING SHOES OMG
SHE’S GONNA HAVE SUCH A GREAT TIME AT CLASS A’S DANCE PARTY. OR AT LEAST SHE FUCKING BETTER. GENTLE I S2G IF YOU FUCK THIS UP... [THROAT-SLITTING GESTURE!!!]
oh my god. I’m so excited oh shit
BONUS:
IT’S ERI’S PROFILE YOU GUYSSSSS. I’m gonna link to it over on aitaikimochi’s tumblr! here!
THIS OUTFIT IS THE CUTEST EVER. I’m gonna gush over it some more in tomorrow’s recap too. it’s just so cute
the clothes Aizawa got her just go to prove that no one is perfect. having some flaws just adds to his charm though
I also want to see Eri eating apples with Tokoyami now
so she is indeed six! my approximate guess was right! however as of where the manga currently is, she’s just about to turn seven. she’s getting so big! they have to figure out what to do about school for her. although her dad is a teacher so

Kiribaku Week - Day 2
BURNT BY MY OWN FIRE
Written by: Kiara (me) Word Count: 5k Prompt: Fake Dating Au / Spring Fling / Pirates @kiribakuweek2k18

It had been over two months since Eijirou opened up to Deku about his situation with Bakugou. In fact, he was the first person Eijirou ever told, oddly enough. At first, Eijirou thought that it was because of how badly he needed to tell someone, which would be a fair reason. At the time, Eijirou’s feelings were out of control.
He couldn’t say a single sentence in Bakugou’s presence without tripping over his words and turning beet red. One day during break Mina teased about how if Eijirou paid as much attention in class as he did to the back of Bakugou’s head, he’d pass. Eijirou elbowed her in the stomach in return but judging from the snickers the comment earned Eijirou knew it was true. While changing into their hero costumes, Eijirou’s eyes darted and he caught sight of Bakugou’s exposed torso and the redhead forgot how to breathe.
It was crazy, to say the least.
“I like Bakugou. A lot,” Kirishima had whispered, his back pressed up against the cool wall of the hallway, turning his head to avoid Deku’s gaze. As soon as the words left his lips it felt like a load was taken off his back. Like a long-held breath that was finally released. But as he turned his head back, preparing to see Deku’s shocked expression, he found himself faced with a smile. “Oh, I know,” Deku had replied with a smile, and Eijirou’s eyes went wide.
“W-what?! How? Man, do you how hard that was to say? What do you mean you know?” Eijirou yelped, and Deku’s face erupted into a giggle as if this whole thing was amusing.
“It’s obvious, Kirishima! It’s been obvious for the longest time!”
Eijirou threw his head back in a groan. Had he really been that obvious? Or was it just Deku being observant? Did others know? Eijirou suddenly snapped his head back to Deku and his eyes went wide in pure panic.
“Wait, does Bakugou-!” Eijirou started, panic arising within his chest before Deku shook his head. “No, Kacchan doesn’t know,” Deku interrupted, and Eijirou let out a sigh of relief. That would’ve been a disaster, to say the least. Still, the fact that his biggest secret was already known was a little scary, and if he was being honest, slightly disappointing. This was important to Eijirou. He’d been fighting against mind, his heart , for god knows how long.
“You don’t find it weird, do you? That I like him?” Eijirou finally whispered, avoiding his friend’s gaze and Deku’s face was immediately painted in concern. “What? No! It’s fine. It’s not weird that you like him, Kirishima! I’m just surprised someone fell for Kacchan at all,” Deku said, and Eijirou relaxed, the tension in his body finally gone.
“Well, if it makes you feel better, I think Kacchan likes you too.” Deku added, his face making it seem like this wasn’t just the biggest news Eijirou had heard. His brain slowly began to process the string of words before his entire face was painted in shock and his heart began to beat, to beat so damn fast that Eijirou was worried it’d jump out of his chest.
“WHAT?! What do you mean?” Eijirou stuttered, trying to rack his brain for any possibility that what Deku was saying was true.
“Kirishima-” “Has he told you? I- I don’t know, it just seems too-”
“Kirishima!”
“..Like, this is Bakugou we’re talking about!” He thought of the explosive, yelling Bakugou staring at him in the corner of his eye. Eijirou imagined Bakugou blushing when Eijirou talked, or getting protective of him. Eijirou shuddered. There was absolutely no way.
Deku grabbed Eijirou by both his shoulders, putting an end to the stuttering words that didn’t seem to stop. Deku chuckled. So this is what he was like to his friends. Eijirou went quiet and mumbled an apology, rubbing the back of his head.
“Kirishima. I wouldn’t be telling you if I didn’t believe it was true, ok? You don’t need to worry,” Deku reassured, releasing his hold on Eijirou with a chuckle.
With those words, Eijirou finally relaxed, his pulse slowing, everything actually going back to normal. It was ok. Everything was ok. He had told Deku, and it went well. He’s ok. The thought of Bakugou possibly returning his feelings sent a new rush of emotion through him, and his heart fluttered. Still, he was appreciative that Deku reacted well, despite his slight outburst. “Thanks, Midoriya. For being so cool with it. I really appreciate it,” Eijirou grinned, and Deku just simply said that it was no problem. Eijirou was, in the end, glad he opened up to his friend.
Because of that, he slowly confessed about his feelings to people close to him, except for Bakugou, of course. He’d already opened up about being gay, so letting them know who he was crushing on was slightly easier.
The reactions he got were mixed. Some were the expected, like Kaminari. His friend’s eyes went wide and he grasped Eijirou by his shoulders, continuously asking him why the hell he fell for Bakugou, of all people.
Sero’s reaction was downright hilarious. His friend blinked, once, twice, as if registering the information, before turning back to his video game with an “I wish you luck”. Kaminari laughed so hard he couldn’t breathe.
Mina was obvious. She squealed so damn loud that Eijirou was worried he’d go deaf, then began bombarding him with questions. When it started, what made him like him, how long he’s liked him for, what he finds attractive about Bakugou. Mina kept pouring question after question all with a wide grin, and Eijirou laughed.
He’d accidentally let it slip to the girls during truth or dare. Momo stared at him with shocked eyes, Jirou simply said “That’s cool,” and plugged her headphones back in. Tsuyu simply warned Eijirou that he was treading down a dangerous path, but then Uraraka countered by saying she caught Bakugou staring at Kirishima during class one day, so he did have a chance. Tooru threw Eijirou into a hug, reassuring him that if Bakugou fell for anyone, it’d be him. Eijirou turned so red that his skin tone resembled his hair colour, and the girls burst out laughing.
His friends were cool with it. He was cool with it. The whole class seemed to know except the blonde, and Eijirou didn’t want that to change. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So, how’d it go with Kacchan?” Deku asked, looking at the redhead with cheeky, wide eyes. Eijirou let out a sigh and cupped his cheeks with both hands, leaning into his palms with a pout.
“He’s so hard to read! I’m trying to drop hints but it’s not working at all. I want to know if he likes me first before telling him, y’know? I want him to just give me one sign but he’s not doing anything and it’s killing me!” Eijirou whined, and Deku chuckled before jokingly patting him on the back.
“Do you have any other ways to get a sign out of him, maybe? You always did understand him well. Think, Kirishima. What would get Bakugou’s attention?” Deku wondered, his eyes narrowing slightly as he began to mutter. “What’s worked so far?”
Eijirou let out another sigh and furrowed his eyebrows together. The only time Eijirou ever noticed Bakugou showing him any sign of liking him was when Kaminari got a little too close to him. His friend had flung his arms around Eijirou, burying his head into the crook of the redhead's neck while whining something about the physical exercise being too hard. Bakugou had been adjusting his costume nearby as soon as he caught sight of the two he let off a huge explosion while bellowing, nearly scaring Kaminari half to death. “One time he got jealous when Kaminari leant on my shoulder. Nearly blew him up, I swear to god,” Eijirou told him, chuckling at the memory of the manly, high pitched squeal Kaminari let out.
Deku seemed to be deep in thought, looking for possible ways to speed up the relationship between Eijirou and Bakugou. It would be hard, that was for sure. Bakugou wasn’t really one to show affection, and if he did like anyone it’d be hard to spot it. His most noticeable way would be through...
“Jealousy! That’s how you could get Kacchan’s attention, Kirishima. If you start dating someone or at least act how you are, if Kacchan notices and gets upset it’ll show you he really does like you,” Deku explained, gesturing like mad and increasing the volume of his words gradually, getting excited.
Eijirou nodded in agreement. Jealousy. That was one thing that he could see working with Bakugou. Damn, Deku really was a genius. The excitement soon died down as he realized the part of the plan that wouldn’t work---having to date someone. There wasn’t really anyone he could date, and a girl would be out of the picture, too. He could ask Kaminari, but everyone knows his attraction towards girls.
“Kirishima, before you worry, I’m fine with doing it if it means helping you.” Deku smiled, and Eijirou turned to him, a deep guilt quickly shooting through him.
Was this really a good idea? What if it didn’t end up working at all? Worry began to drown Eijirou slowly, and he felt bad. Deku was still smiling at him, notebook in one hand, waiting for what he had to say.
As much as he wanted to do this, he didn’t want to place any pressure on Deku. Because he was an amazing person, he’d always been nice to both Eijirou and any other person he encountered. He was strong, very strong, but he never boasted about it.
Never held it up as a threat (like a certain person), or used it to prove that he was better than anyone. In fact, he was the opposite of how you think someone with that type of power would act. Deku was humble. Nervous and quiet, but enthusiastic. He stuttered with his words but never stuttered when helping anyone in need. He was always terrified in Bakugou’s presence but didn’t have an ounce of fear when protecting anyone. It was admirable.
So there was no way Eijirou could do this to someone like Deku. It wasn’t right. The redhead knew he was most likely overthinking this, but he couldn’t help it. As seconds passed and Eijirou remained silent, Deku began to study his facial expressions before letting out a small, teasing smile.
“Kirishima, it’s ok! I promise you, I’m fine with it,” Deku commented, and Eijirou lowered his eyebrows, still unsure. But when Deku gave him another knowing smile, Eijirou finally gave in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Class 1-A was hanging out around the sun-lit classroom before Aizawa arrived. The students chattered among each other, sharing jokes and stories in the appropriate groups of friends, scattered among the classroom. In the far right sat Sero, legs kicked up on the desk without a second thought. Kaminari was close by, his arm slung around Jirou, cooing into her ear while she struggled in his grasp. Bakugou turned his head away in disgust. Fucking PDA.
Mina teased something about them being made for each other, while Sero groaned for Eijirou to get here soon so he wouldn’t have to deal with them. Bakugou usually didn’t pay attention to their conversation, but the sound of Eijirou’s name caught his interest. Where was he? The redhead usually arrived earlier in order to talk to his friends, but he was running late today. Weird.
Bakugou clicked his tongue. It wasn’t his concern, anyway.
The door finally slid open and Bakugou’s eyes immediately locked onto it, greeted by Eijirou’s smiling face. He was immediately put at ease and his face melted into a small smile until his eyes were met with another sight that made him see red.
Stupid Deku, grinning by his side. Bakugou clenched his fist and they began to crackle with dancing sparks, but his eyes drifted further and his heart almost stopped at what he saw. Eijirou’s long fingers intertwined with Deku’s scarred ones, giving the green-haired boy’s palm a squeeze as they enter the classroom. Bakugou’s throat went dry.
The blond felt his heart beating too loud. He tried to swallow but it was almost painful. His body began trembling, filling with a slow regret, a rising anger. He knew he should’ve fucking told him. Before someone did. And now fucking DEKU is the one there, holding Eijirou’s hand, standing by his side and smiling like an idiot, instead of him. The regret was slowly overtaken by rage, and the pops on his palm increased.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------“Are you sure about this?” Eijirou whispered, his palm beginning to grow sweaty in Deku’s comforting hold. He was having doubts about this whole situation. He was downright scared, even. Bakugou was terrifying when he was angry, and he didn’t want Deku to have to deal with that. And on the contrary, what if this whole thing didn’t work and this was all for nothing?
“It’s ok, Kirishima! It’ll be ok!” Deku reassures, and Eijirou takes in a quick inhale before sliding open the door. Eijirou’s breathing stopped and his heart skipped a beat.
The light immediately immersed them as their class went silent, each gaze slowly falling on them, then traveling down to their connected hands. One by one, each of their mouths fell open in silent gasps as they took in the sight before them. The talking ceased and slowly all attention was placed on them. And from the back of the classroom, the blonde who was sprawled across his desk on the far side of the room turned and faced the door.
Eijirou watched Bakugou’s eyes go wide, his palms beginning to ignite. His face flashed an unreadable expression that cast across his face, his eyebrows narrowing. Eijirou felt his heart jump and inhaled a breath, squeezing Deku’s hand in an attempt to calm himself down.
“Deku...you and Kirishima….” Uraraka started, still in shock as she met the boy’s eyes. Deku turned his head and Eijirou smiled, silently thanking him. “Yeah. We’re dating.”
The possible discourse threading through the air then left as Eijirou’s friends slowly broke into a shared grin, lifting from their seats and running over to him. Deku’s friends did the same until the two were surrounded by their classmate’s eager faces and expressions. Eijirou was bombarded with question after question, and he let out a small chuckle. Deku quietly told them about how he had confessed and then they got together around a week beforehand and had finally reached enough courage to tell everyone. His classmates were confused, especially on Eijirou’s behalf. The whole class knew about his crush on Bakugou, so this definitely had taken them by surprise. As Momo calmly brought that up, Deku panicked slightly before Eijirou squeezed his hand.
“I did like Bakugou, but he never showed any sign of liking me back so I lost hope, I guess. That was months ago, though!” Eijirou replied, ignoring the slight waver in his voice. It almost hurt to say, but Eijirou knew that it was too late to turn back now.
During lunch, Deku caught Bakugou’s stare drilling into them and leant down to whisper in Eijirou’s ear, his breath ghosting over Eijirou’s ear.
“Kirishima, Kacchan is looking at you. Do something to get his attention.” Deku whispered, and Eijirou nodded in understanding before exploding in a grin, throwing back his head and flashing a sharp grin as he laughed, as if Deku had said the funniest thing in the world. He then wrapped his arm around Deku and planted a gentle kiss on his cheek, making sure that Bakugou saw. Deku’s skin felt soft underneath his lips, and the shorter boy let out a small laugh and blushed.
Eijirou turned his head just in time to see Bakugou storm out of the cafeteria, hands in pockets to hide clenched fists, head hung low to hide teary eyes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the entire week, Bakugou avoided Eijirou like the plague. Turned his head sharply whenever the redhead entered the room, avoiding his gaze like it was Medusa’s. His heart had turned to stone, so it looked like the redhead’s curse had already taken place.
Everything was breaking. Falling. For the first time in his life, Bakugou had no idea what was happening within his brain. Within his heart. Everything was shattered every time he saw those two. And he didn’t even know why he was surprised. He’d always told himself Eijirou deserved better. Weeks after weeks when the feelings for Eijirou emerged he’d push them down without blinking an eye. He doesn’t have time for something as pitiful as romance. He doesn’t have time for something as pitiful as love. He didn’t need anyone. Anyone.
He was going to rise to the top on his own.
So when the redhead began to enter that picture, he pushed it out without a second thought. But the sight of him smiling and laughing, laughter that was caused by someone else, it made him crave that picture again. He’d never appreciated it. He’d stayed in the dark, like a coward. Kept things the way they were, the way he wanted to keep them. And somewhere deep down he’d thought, he’d hoped the redhead liked him so he didn’t have to worry about him ever leaving. But it was too late now.
Because Eijirou had found someone else to stand by. The same blinding grin, the same positive attitude that drew in everyone around him. Of course, Eijirou would choose the matching sun over the rippling fire, out of fear of getting burnt. It wasn’t a surprise.
So the only one who got burnt by Bakugou’s flames was himself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I’m worried about him, Midoriya. It’s working, but I think it’s hurting him.” Eijirou admitted one night, clenching his fist. He didn’t want to hurt Bakugou. That was never the intention, ever.
“What do you mean?” Deku replied as he looked up from the couch, concern apparent in his voice as well. Eijirou rested his cheek onto his palm, yet again worried. The plan had worked, and Bakugou had shown obvious signs of jealousy.
But he drew away. He was distant. He could barely look Eijirou in the eye. And it was anger that Eijirou saw as he turned away. It was pain, regret. And that shook Eijirou to the core and sent a deep pain rushing through his chest.
“He’s just acting really strange. And it’s not like he usually is. He’s pushing me away now, and more aggressively, but he looks so hurt when he does it. His voice even wavered when he was telling me to piss off, Midoriya! It was so quiet that you could barely hear it, but I felt so bad .” Eijirou reflected, deep guilt taking over him. Deku left his spot on the couch to sit beside Eijirou, nodding in agreement before looking over at the redhead and gently smiling.
“You can tell him, Kirishima. It’s ok,” He finally whispered, and Eijirou’s eyes snapped up to meet his. “R-really?” Eijirou replied, mouth parting. They had kept this going for so long, it almost felt natural. But to finally tell Bakugou, it filled Eijirou with a new hope. He wrapped his arms around Deku, immersing him in a warm embrace. “Thank you, Midoriya. Thank you so much,”
He didn’t notice the tears in the corner of his friend’s eyes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Bakugou, I need you to talk to me. Please.” Eijirou pushed, concern filling his intense gaze. The two were alone in the hallway behind the school, and Eijirou was desperate. Desperate to fix this mess, to fix things with Bakugou. It was eating away at him and he couldn’t take it anymore.
“I have nothing to say to you, Shitty hair. Now go run back to your fucking boyfriend and leave me alone.” The blonde spat and Eijirou was unaffected by the sharp reply before seeing the flicker in Bakugou’s expression. His eyes glossed over to hurt so quickly Eijirou almost missed it. Maybe that’s why it hurt so much.
“Bakugou, please! I want to sort this out, I want to know why you’re pushing me away!-” Eijirou pleaded now, eyebrows lowered and eyes wide with concern. Bakugou simply turned his head away, digging his nails into the padded skin of his palm as he clenched his fist, avoiding Eijirou’s gaze.
Even looking at him brought back the memories of their stupid intertwined hands, and the deep hurt he’d felt as Eijirou’s lips ghosted over Deku’s cheek. It sent him going insane. He knew, he fucking knew that this all wasn’t important. Something as petty as romance, it wasn’t important. He was Bakugou goddamn Katsuki, he doesn’t get jealous, he doesn’t let something like this stop him. He’s stronger than this.
So why did it feel like he was getting his heart ripped apart when Eijirou looked at Deku like that? It hurt. It hurt so goddamn much and was eating at everything that Bakugou did, everything he thought. It was all churning and bubbling, his heart a volcano on the verge of erupting, each memory making it worse by the second until he was about to explode. Bakugou couldn’t take it anymore. This whole thing, even being here with Eijirou, it was all too much.
Bakugou raised his gaze and glared at Eijirou as if his anger could get rid of any of this pain. He was mad at Eijirou. So fucking mad. For making him like this, for hurting him, for choosing fucking Deku. Bakugou lowered his eyebrows and straightened himself up, regaining his confidence, his body fueled with rage. “Tell me why the fuck I should say anything to you, huh?!” Bakugou snapped.
“Because I care about you, Bakugou! Please-” Eijirou pleaded, moving closer to the blond, his heart pounding in his chest.
“Obviously you don’t, you fucking idiot! Get away from me!” The blond screamed, his voice rising and pricking with white-hot anger, blue-black hurt, all going out of control within him. If he didn’t get out of here, soon, this was not going to end well.
“I do, Bakugou!” “NOT IN THE SAME WAY I CARE ABOUT YOU!” Bakugou bellowed, clenching his fists as loud, painful explosions danced across his palm. His breathing was scattered as he ended his sentence, coming in hard painful exhales as he realised what he just said.
Eijirou froze. Paused in place, hand that was reaching out dropped to his side. He stared at Bakugou through wide eyes, his chest clenching as he took in what Bakugou just said. Bakugou felt the same way. This whole damn time. And he had to watch as Eijirou dated someone else. Guilt corrupted his brain, and he knew, he fucking knew this was a bad idea. And the pain he felt right now, Bakugou’s pain, it made Eijirou wish he could’ve pressed a button and gone back in time and just told him.
“Bakugou…” Eijirou whispered, stepping closer to Bakugou.
The blond continued to stay silent, exhaling hard. As his eyes opened to meet with Eijirou’s he couldn’t take it anymore. Everything overflowed, the volcano living in his chest exploded into ruthless disgusting pain, of a desire for something he couldn’t have, and the regret of not taking it while he still could. And his body then moved on his own, calloused hands reaching desperately to grab Eijirou’s face and wrench it towards his own, capturing Eijirou’s lips in a desperate kiss.
Bakugou closed his eyes tight and held desperately onto the back of Eijirou’s head, knowing that the moment he let go it’d all be over. He knew this wasn’t right, he knew that Eijirou belonged to someone else. Eijirou remained unresponsive, and Bakugou growled and began to attack his soft lips. Bakugou kissed like he fought, powerful and rough, he kissed as he let out the burning hunger and the new emotions that killed him as each day passed. Eijrou’s lips felt right under his own, and it hurt because he knew that he’d never feel them again.
Eijirou couldn’t believe it. His eyes stayed wide, his hands floating uselessly by his side as Bakugou kissed him, kissed him so hard and desperately. After seconds that seemed too long, Eijirou raised his arm to clutch Bakugou’s back, twisting the fabric and his eyes fluttered closed. Eijirou’s lips parted as he kissed Bakugou back, red-hot and desperate, clawing at each other with a new found fire.
As they finally parted, Bakugou turned his head away, beads of sweat dripping down his forehead from the intensity of that moment. “You weren’t supposed to kiss me back, moron.” Bakugou hissed softly, avoiding Eijirou’s gaze. He finally stepped back, raking a hand through his sweaty hair before dropping them to his side to clench his fists.
“Now do you see what’s wrong? You’re the one who’s fucking doing this to me, making me feel things I’ve never fucking felt before!” Bakugou yelled, avoiding Eijirou’s gaze, his voice gradually rising from the deadly whisper into a brutal shout. “Things I don’t want to feel! And it makes me so fucking angry and I want to hate you so fucking badly for it but I can’t! And I know, I fucking know you’re with Deku, but I fucking can’t just watch you with him, I fucking can’t, ok?! And I don’t know why, I don’t know how, and I want it to fucking stop but it won’t and it’s driving me insane!”
Red-white hot tears ran down his face, finally escaping as they traveled down his cheeks, more and more coming one after the other. Bakugou held his hand up to his eyes to stop them from coming but they wouldn’t, they were merciless, he was stronger than this but he’d never felt weaker.
Eijirou’s eyes prickled with matching tears because he knew this was all because of him. He caused this pain on Bakugou. He knew, he knew an apology wouldn’t be able to fix this, and that this was all his fault and nothing would change that. In a desperate attempt to make things better, Eijirou stepped closer to Bakugou and wrapped his arms around his torso, pulling him in for a tight embrace.
Bakugou froze, his words put into an end, everything pausing except for the continuous tears streaming down his face. Then with a final crack of his throat as a sob broke out, he raised his arms to hug him back, tight, shivering against his skin as angry sobs left his mouth.
“I’m sorry...I’m so sorry, Bakugou...” Eijirou whispered into Bakugou’s hair, tightening his grip around his waist. Bakugou pushed his head into Eijirou’s shoulder, breathing in the stupid cologne he always wore, the scent somehow putting him at ease.
“What the hell are you apologising for, idiot,” Bakugou replied, his attempt to sound intimidating completely disregarded by his vulnerable nature.
Eijirou’s breathing paused. He knew he had to tell Bakugou the truth. He couldn’t cause him any more pain. He closed his eyes, taking in one last breath before pulling out of the hug, looking Bakugou straight in the eyes.
“Bakugou...Midoriya and I aren’t dating. We never were.” Eijirou explained, watching Bakugou’s expression grow baffled. But before he could say anything, Eijirou continued, finally wanting to fix this whole mess. “This whole thing, was to try to see if you..if you..liked me..back. Because I like you, Bakugou! Not Midoriya! It’s-...it’s always been you and I didn’t know if you felt the same! And Midoriya wanted to help me and I-...I never meant to hurt you, and I-I’m so sorry!”
Bakugou stepped back, fists clenching. His eyes focused on his hands, then down to the ground, avoiding Eijirou at all cost. This whole thing. This whole time. Bakugou didn’t know what to feel, again his emotions were going mad. The betrayal at Eijirou for doing this to him. The joy from Eijirou actually feeling the same way. The relief that he was never taken, and that he’s here now.
“You..idiot. You fucking idiot…” Bakugou hissed, and before Eijirou could reply Bakugou pulled him forward and cut him off with a kiss, snatching the air out of Eijirou’s lungs. As he pulled away he pressed his head against Eijirou’s, letting go of Eijirou’s wrist and clenching his hands into fists. “You could’ve told me. You could’ve just fucking told me.”
“I’m sorr-”
“Just shut up, ok? Shut up.” Bakugou replied, lifting his eyes to glare at Eijirou before pushing his head into the redhead’s shoulder again, causing Eijirou to let out a small smile before moving his arms around Bakugou’s waist.
They stayed like that for a while, emerged in each other’s hold. Bakugou’s breathing was still slightly erratic from his previous tears.
“Bakugou?” Eijirou suddenly whispered, breaking the silence between them. Bakugou let out a grunt in response, causing the redhead to chuckle.
“Cause I’m not dating Midoriya, and we kinda..um..well, what I’m trying to say is-” Eijirou stuttered, attempting for his stupid brain to work and string together the right words for once. “Shut up. It wouldn’t fucking work with the class thinking you and Deku still have a thing, Shitty Hair.” Bakugou snapped. The thought of being with Eijirou made his heart race, as he’d never really thought that far before.
“They don’t have to know. It can be a private thing, with just us. We can work it out.” The redhead reassured, leaning his head back to look at Bakugou. He looked completely different in this view. Vulnerable. Cheeks still damped with tears, features escaping his usual scowl. It was a nice change, and it made his heart skip a beat.
Bakugou clicked his tongue and turned his head, heart pounding in his chest. “....Ok.”
Eijirou grinned, causing Bakugou to let out a small smile before Eijirou lifted a hand to grab his chin, gently connecting their lips again in a final, spine-tingling kiss.

Hmmm.. what do you think about the monoma x shinsou ship??
It’s… possibly a good ship? I guess? I’ve seen it around a bit, but ngl I don’t really understand it haha

Anon said:Aw man i was gonna recomend that fic by newamsterdam to you. Like i finished reading it and thought you could like it since you like that other kuroo x teru fic (thanks to you and the anon for that btw) and it seemed your style? Im kinda sad i missed the chance (ok i know this whole ask sounds stupid)
Awwww don’t be sad anon, reccing me bakushima stuff is seriously hard because I might or might not go daily in the ao3 tag to read anything complete that’s been updated and I might or might not be following all fics regularly updating unless they have a character death/angst with no happy ending warning oops - thank you for thinking about me tho!!! That made me happy haha
Anon said:I pestered my friend until he watched (and fell in love with) bnha and now I’m pestering him to look at your blog because your art is top notch and every bnha fan should look at your art imo

Anon said:Would it be possible to see any bokuroteru or bakushima art in your rb?
Anon said:The bakushima smooches would look great on a notebook/mug/etc !
I added the smooches!!!! And I mean to go through my bakushima stuff to see what else works!! As for the bokuroteru, is there anything specific you’d like to see? Nothing seems worth it tbh haha rip
Anon said:I just bought a bag and a t-shirt and this shirt will be worn at anime expo in July and I would looooooove it if some of YOYR matsuhana S made it into your shop because I would buy all of them
THANK YOU SO MUCH OH MY G O D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anon said:M'cryin the way young Mirio looked was like a colonial American teen. Also holy shit the character development showing Tamaki’s anxiety and pessimism, and then Mirio being the super supportive friend he is and just ugh everything about this chapter was amazing
IT W AS I love it so much Amajiki’s such a good character honestly and his relationship with Mirio is!!! So good!!!! Also long haired Mirio might have been a nod to his liking rock music actually!! I love it!
Anon said:Do you ever wonder if Mirio is maybe too good and one of these days we’re gonna find out he’s actually a bad egg
…Nah. He’s not the only exceptionally good character after all, Deku, Uraraka and Kirishima are right there with him, and Toshi too! Pure characters are a Thing in bnha, which makes sense since they’re all heroes, it’s their job to be good haha
Anon said:Heeyyy so, I have this dream of owning a bookstore, and was wondering if I commissioned so e work, if you’d be ok with me displaying it in my store? Just you know… hypothetically speaking…
Well, as of now my commissions aren’t open so there’s that. But once I’ll open them then it’ll depend on what exactly you commission me to draw, I guess? I dunno! Once my commissions will be open you can contact me off anon and we can talk about it one on one~
Anon said:What do you think of platonic Tokoyami x Tsuyu dynamic? They work so well together! I think they could be good friends! Also do you ship Tokoyami and Shouji? They earned a place in my heart since the training camp!
I love!!!! TokoTsuyu!!!!! Holy heck!!!! I’ve drawn them together a couple of times, their exam together was really amazing I wish I could see more of them interacting! Also they were my first faves in bnha, so seeing them interact has always been like a treat to me haha also yes to ShoujiYami!! Drew that once as well, they’re so cute~ smallest boy x tallest boy, what a good couple !!
Anon said:Have you ever thought about Tetsutetsu x Kendou? I can’t stop thinking about it since the training camp, I love Kendou so much she’s so awesome and sweet, and Tetsutetsu is amazing and a true hero, and they have such a lovely dynamic!
MY MAIN TETSU SHIP !!!!!!! I drew them once too, I love them so so much they’d make such a good couple honestly I should draw them more
Anon said: I love your Hagakure hc you posted! She’s so lovely, I hope she learns how to make herself visible because I can’t imagine meeting people and knowing no one knows how you look like. She’s probably cool with her quirk now, after so many years, but I’m sure she must get upset sometimes…
My fave thing about Hagakure is that she sometimes acts as if she forgets no one can see her - not even in an angst way, like she complains about Mineta looking in their changing room or stuff like that, I can’t tell if she just genuinely forgets or if she’s so used to being invisible that for her is like being visible anyway???? Either way it’s gonna be fun if and when she’ll learn how to make herself visible!
Anon said:This latest chapters have me shipping Kirideku a little~~~~ haha. Man, I love their interactions, they are so supporting of each other and so work well together. Its nice seeing Deku interact with someone who doesn’t expects anything of him and who is just a friend
Nah, there’s lotsa people who don’t expect anything from him, Deku’s friends love him a lot~ but yeah his interactions with Kiri are fun, most times it’s just Kiri getting excited and being overly energetic as usual and Deku going “ye-yeah!” with his uncertain face, it’s??? fun??? Seeing the members of the bakusquad interact on friendly terms with the dekusquad is always fun for me exactly for that, Deku’s friends are all so mild compared to Baku’s, you notice the squad’s energy even more like this haha
Anon said:(Waifu2x anon) *gasp!* I’m not worthy!!
You keep me in too high regards, anon haha
Anon said:fran!! i saw your art for todays chapter and promptly died all over again. ive fallen in mirio/amajiki hell and i dont wanna get out. ive also taken to using miriama as their ship name too?? so idk what else people use but!! i just need to scream at you how beautiful your art is and i would buy things from you if you ever opened a shop

World’s Greatest ‘Mary Sue’
((Read First: Prologue|Chapter One))
Chapter 2: Igniting Old Flames
Onodera had accompanied Takano back to the old grind the next Monday morning. After nights like Friday, he really doesn't like to talk to his superior unless it's work related. Well...that's really all they can talk about...
Friday night was just too weird, though... the newbie coordinator pondered sitting down at his station.
It was the first day of the new cycle so cleaning up after last month's disaster was in order. Mino and Hatori already hard at work doing so. Kisa and Meiri seemed to run a bit late, but it was really because all of them had come in so early to clean up and redecorate the department back to its usual pink glow.
Onodera was actually compelled to finish the manga volumes that he'd bought on Friday; that being the first 3 volumes of Never Getting Older by his own kouhai. Only to find the sex scenes in the next couple of volumes were more subtle than the first. Or...so he thought. They were never exceedingly graphic and certain body parts weren't really drawn out. As if Meiri wanted the reader to pay more attention to the atmosphere and drama going on between the two lovers and not the bits that would make it obscene. Though if you never read the story line and just spotted the pages from an outsider's view, you'd think it was the horniest thing ever. Don't know how she does it...but it really is incredible! Onodera said again in his head. Though maybe...I should stay far away from Takano-san if I'm going to read it again....
“Ohayo!” Meiri greeted bright-eyed and bushy tailed just like the rest of her department. A yawning Kisa followed her in, but still looked like he was ready to go.
Onodera snapped out of his thoughts and looked up to the author of the series he'd just read. “Ah! Meiri-san I...” Onodera cut himself off while greeting her. He was about to praise her on her comic, but immediately thought against it. Telling her he read it would also mean telling the entire department, including Takano. And Takano DID NOT need to know something that could ultimately shatter his barriers just like it did Friday night. Especially if Takano himself was reading it as well.
“Eh? What is it Ricchan?” she was a bit perplexed as to why he cut himself off. Wasn't he about to tell her something?
“Eh?! Oh...” Onodera scrambled for words trying to cover up what he was about to tell her. “Um...I forgot! Ha ha ha!” he tried to play off as a mind slip.
“Ehhh...” Meiri hummed and got ready to work.
“Awww, Ricchan...spit it! You read her books!” Kisa teased. Onodera immediately turned to stone.
“Oooohhh is that what you wanted to tell me??” Meiri's smile grew big. She was of course proud of all her works. Though because of its content, the really shy fans like to congratulate her in a private setting; she was used to it.
“There's nothing to be ashamed of. I read it...” Mino spoke up. “It's very brilliantly done!”
“Never Getting Older, right? I'm on Volume 6,” Hatori said next. “No harm in supporting your fellow team mate right?”
“Volume 4 here. Not just that, how could we resist? Kisa made it sound so good...and he wasn't lying,” Takano said nonchalantly as he was going through a new storyboard. “I'm quite enraptured with it myself,” the professional air with which they were all praising her seemed to ease Onodera's mind quite a bit. But he still didn't favor Takano knowing that he was reading it. The reasoning was obvious.
“Ehh!! Wow! Thank you all so much!” she bowed toward them feeling a puff of pride. “Now...if only I could write a story to follow it up...” the last statement ended with a whine. Meiri sighed as she settled in herself.
“Aw I'm sure you'll think of something, we're all rooting for you!” Mino said, his trademark smile and gentle voice could really do wonders in brightening someone's spirit. As long as you didn't upset him of course...
Onodera was relieved the attention wasn't on him so much anymore. That is until Kisa spoke up, “You're on volume 3, right Ricchan? Yukina told me last Friday night,” he said about to munch into his doriyaki breakfast. So that was who he was waiting for...
“Eh? Ah yeah,” There was no point in hiding it now. “It really is good, Meiri-chan!” he said finally feeling like he could praise her. He'll just deal with Takano when the time came.
“Bet you loved the Library scene,” Takano answered giving a knowing look to the one who started this whole conversation. Onodera froze again.
“Ahh... you think so? The dorm room scene was better I think, but yeah nothing could counter the very first scene,” Kisa countered.
“Chiharu-sensei loves that one too, I prefer the boy's bath scene myself,” Hatori added his own take.
Takano kept his eye on his nervous subordinate after his initial comment. He didn't think the conversation would then involve the rest of his team making comments, but ah well. One thing settled in his mind though.... So that's it, huh? He said to himself. Onodera just wasn't himself when he was with him on Friday night. Usually his tsundere uke would put up a fight before he gave into Takano's advances. But this last time was like his barriers were already down when he got to him. He entered his bedroom without a fuss, even stayed for breakfast on Saturday morning; but that reason may have been because the little slob didn't have any real food at his place.
“Hmm I think you all haven't lived until you reached volume 8, you'll love the little rendezvous in the back seat of Keibu's car...” Kisa snickered.
“You all are working on shoujo manga, right?” a certain grumpy bear made his appearance. Though in light of hearing their conversation, he even wondered if he made a mistake and had the wrong department. Everyone immediately jumped (except Takano and Mieri) and continued working.
“Yokozawa,” Takano set his papers down. He usually gets a long rant from him but it seems that he wasn't here for that today. “To what do I owe the honor of your visit?” Yokozawa didn't look like he was going to gripe at him, but he geared himself up just in case.
“One of your authors is getting a new anime. So naturally they want to have a special showcase of the series about the time of release,”
“Ah? Don't suppose you can up the reprint volume of said manga?” Takano replied. They then tried to renegotiate a print volume at Takano's request (for once).
Mino leaned in a bit to Hatori and whispered, “Well...looks like they actually can have a civilized conversation,” to which Hatori nodded in agreement.
“Hah?” Yokozawa turned his head toward the whispers. Hatori and Mino went back to work on their laptops as if they weren't doing anything. Meiri tried her best to stifle the laughing that threatened her features. Though she did try to duck down and hide behind her storyboard.
Once the discussion was finished the grumpy bear made to take his leave. Everyone on the floor was in awe as they expected yet another screaming match. But in light of recent events and small rumors floating about he and Kirishima Zen, they managed to link up why there's a lighter air about him.
Meiri thought she was in the clear and let her head rise from her paperwork. “What are you doing here?” came Yokozawa's voice again. This time from him leaning over into her ear.
“Eeeeeeek!” One would've thought she jumped about 5 feet into the air by how startled she was. “Taka-chan no fair!” she managed after his jump scare.
“Aren't you supposed to be working on a new series? ….And I keep telling you it's 'Yokozawa-san' when we're at work,” he had his arms crossed in front of him.
“Yeah maybe you should stop scaring me like that, then we'll talk...” Meiri looked like she was trying to reclaim her heart. Though this looked like an over exaggeration at this point.
“As if you'd ever stop,” he sighed. “Anyway, back to my first question,”
“I know you're not asking me this question for the 50th time,”
“Well more like I expected you to return to Sapphire if you were going to make the decision to go back to editing,” he countered. The way they spoke to each other so familiarly was becoming more and more interesting to the rest of the Emeralds.
Feeling this conversation should be a little more private, the red head got up and took a file filled with sketch paper from her bag. “Hey I need to run this by Isaka-san, care to escort me?” Meiri said to him. Of course she only meant that so they could talk a little more to answer his questions. “I'll be right back, Takano-san!” she turned to him. All he could do was nod her away.
“Well...they seemed close,” Kisa said after they were out of earshot.
“Indeed...” Takano said rather perplexed himself. “Well we aren't going to figure it out just sitting here, back to work. We need to go over our new storyboards before the day is out. So let's get to reading...”
“Hey since you guys are reading Meiri's work, you can also look into her earlier works. She's been doing manga since her middle/high school days!” Kisa the fanboy remarked as he took out his own storyboards. “I never looked into them, but I've been hearing other fans of hers praise it,”
“Wouldn't mind checking it out. It'd be interesting to see humble beginnings,” Mino remarked.
“Ah, you'd have to find them under her maiden name though...” He replied. “Uhhh damn it slipping my mind right now. I'll find it after we get done with this,”
Takano chuckled, “Aren't you a little young to be going senile?”
/(^x^)\
The day wore on without any further disruption and was topped off by a conference with the Emeralds in a separate meeting room. They could discuss every storyboard they had more efficiently without the phones and noise of the editing floor to bug them. “Good work, today!” Meiri stretched as the final minutes were ticked off.
“Ah hey Meiri-chan, may I ask your maiden name? You published your early works under that name, right?” Kisa asked bundling his things to go home.
“Those old things? I promise they aren't as good as the one you all are reading right now,” she started to get a bit nervous as this would humble her to a great extent. “Ah but...if you really want to, you should find them under Yokozawa Meiri,”
“Yokozawa?!” Kisa shot a bit thrown back. He didn't mean for it to sound so surprising, but it was clear his shock echoed through all five of them. How on earth did he manage to forget that?!
“Judging by your state of shock, I'm assuming you didn't know the famed Marukawa Grumpy Bear is my older brother?” Meiri laughed.
“Ahh so that's why you called him Taka-chan...” Hatori added with a smile. He actually shared a comradery with Yokozawa as far as professionalism went. They had a couple things in common as well.
Meiri laughed remembering the name she uses for him. One she she should use outside the office. “Of course you heard him gripe before about my using our family name for him. And it's right I use 'Yokozawa-san' in the workplace...I actually do it to tease him. Like he does me,” Meiri huffed. “But it's also just so weird for me to address him like that! C'mon we grew up together!! We shared toys and coloring books, had to split chores and allowance, fought over who did what, we still horseplay on occasion, and we tease each other to no end like a couple of slapstick comedians,” She giggled. Takano could relate to this as he and Yokozawa do the very same to each other on occasion.
“Woah...Yokozawa horseplays?” Kisa was getting very amused with this as was everyone else.
“Ah yeah, I think I still have the scuff on my toes from when he tried to prank me by pushing me into the pool at Papa's house,” she laughed recalling memories of the past summer. “Before I fell in, I managed to grab his wrist and in he went with me! Serves him right...”
There was something that was irking Takano though. “If you are his sister, why didn't he ever mention you when we were in uni?” he honestly wasn't trying to make her seem like she was lying.
“Well, you met him in uni right?” Meiri began trying to remember what went on around that time. “I already had a bit of high standing in the ranks of my mangaka career, not to mention I was lucky enough to get married to one of the biggest names in J-pop culture,” she answered him. “The harassment of family from paparazzi is something to worry about. But also mentioning you have ties to big names kinda destroys the ability of those you're involved with to do things on their own as far as school or career is concerned,” It was then that Onodera resonated with what she was trying to explain. Being the son to the CEO of a publishing house was the very reason he transferred to Marukawa in the first place. Yokozawa was another that wanted to rely on his own skill and not let his sister, who's name was becoming heard 'round the world', have any influence on his chances at real life just for being her brother.
“Ah I understand now,” Takano smiled then. Being involved with Onodera and knowing his backstory drove that point home.
“Ah but...please don't let anything I'm telling you leave this room. The Grumpy Bear should stay a big ol' grumpy bear and I'd appreciate it if you still treated him that way. If this ever got out of hand, no one would take him seriously anymore. And you all know his intimidating stature is how he does business. I think I'm doing enough damage by letting our family names slip,” she laughed nervously. “He really is a wonderful big brother, though...” she said this even knowing that he was slowly losing the image thanks to whatever Kirishima-san was supposedly doing to him. She didn't know any details of their relationship. When she asked him, he only seemed very apprehensive to talk about it.
/(^x^)\
The team met back at their place on the editing floor just to pick up their belongings and go home. Onodera was doing his best to make a speedy escape. Though, he'd only meet him again on the train home. Of course Takano being Takano would choose the seat nearest him on the empty train home. He sat anxiously next to his superior praying with all his might that he wouldn't bring up the manga they were reading.
“Oi, I kinda want to change--” Takano began figuring he'd touch on a certain spot in one of Onodera's storyboards.
Onodera jumped five feet the moment he spoke. “Ah...ah, yes?”
Takano got a little startled himself at his subordinate's actions. “The hell is wrong with you?”
“S..sorry...i..it's just one of those days...” Onodera rubbed the back of his neck.
Takano wasn't falling for his usual lame excuses. His nervousness had to be due to when they were talking about Never Getting Older. The editor in chief already made all the ties to why Onodera was pleasuring himself that Friday night. “You know your lame excuses aren't working, right?”
“Hah?!” Onodera shot back angrily. Now Takano's tsundere was sounding like his usual tsundere.
“Get over yourself, this is all about me finding out that you're reading that manga. Or shall we say your new weakness against me?”
Onodera's blush couldn't be bigger, but he was getting pissed he was talking about this now of all times. “What are you talking about?”
Takano then leaned into him on the seat. “That library scene... It brought back memories, didn't it?” he used a sulfurous voice that tickled the mousy brown hair gently covering his ear.
“T..Takano-san...what are you talking about all of a sudden...ON A TRAIN,” Onodera backed up a bit.
“Ahhh...so you're saying this is okay to talk about at home then?” Takano hummed with a smirk. “Got it, let's have dinner at my place,”
“Sorry I have plans...” Onodera shot back.
“How many times are you going to tell me that before you realize I know you're full of shit when you say it?”
Grrrr I really need to move!!
When they made it home, Onodera tried in vain to rush to his apartment before Takano grabbed him by the scruff of his hoodie dragging him into his own apartment. “We have a date remember? We just have to go over our favorite scenes, don't you think? We finally have something to talk about now...”
Onodera's heart jumped. He had him there. There went one of his barriers. They barely had time to discard their shoes at the genkan before Onodera was once again brought into his superior's bedroom.
“You remember, right? That part about them fucking in the library,” Takano smoothed over helping his little Ritzu out of his outerwear. “It brought back memories of when I could barely contain myself after saying you wanted to be with me that night. You wanted to help me just by staying with me. You wanted to be there for me...” his voice a low baritone breaking down Onodera's barriers one by one.
Onodera was surged with the memory of that day while his heart wanted to jump out of his chest again. He loved him so much that he wanted to do anything for him. Even if it meant all he could do was keep him company. Why...why do you remember all this?! He screamed internally as tears started to well up.
“Ritsu....I love you...and I wish you to continue to be there for me,” Takano purred pulling Onodera into a very heated kiss, tears managing to choke him as well, but never letting one fall. He sat them up so they can continue to undress. Leaving kisses on newly exposed skin. “I need you...”
Onodera's will to fight was long gone. Seemed his will was weakening every time they did something like this. What flowed through his head now was how desperately Takano wanted him all those years ago. And now he knew why. Takano's family was cruel to him apparently. They didn't care much for him and learning recently that his dad wasn't even his dad was adding all new volumes of how much love Takano really craved. And even now how he doesn't spend any sort of holidays with his family just because both parents have new ones... “T...takano-san...” Onodera breathed as the one he used to address as 'Senpai' pressed inside him; forcing more tears out.
“Onodera...you're too tight,” he gritted through his teeth. He reached down and started to stroke the member growing harder and harder before him.
“Unn...aahhh!” Ritzu panted releasing his tension at the pleasure that surged through him. Takano then seated himself within the one who once wished to stay by his side; beginning a steady rhythm. Sounds of scorching intimacy then filled Takano's bedroom.
“Aaaahh Ritsu!” Takano moaned leaning back using his hand to hold himself up against the bed; he continued to pump Ritsu's member as he himself thrust into him. This position would allow him to see himself going in and out; growing in girth and tempo each time.
Ritsu's yelps weren't the only ones to permeate the silence of the night. He began to hear Takano add his own moans and deep throaty hums of pleasure. This caused his heart to beat so fast, it was getting really hard to hold his stamina. “Ah ah ah ah, Takano-san...I'm gonna...”
That drew Takano's attention and he gripped Ritsu's cock tightly. “Don't you dare, we do this together....”
Onodera gripped the sheets as the ability to release was now being hindered. “N...nooo! Takano-san...please!!” the plea ripping itself from his throat.
That almost made Takano lose it. He regained himself from the blow and leaned over his precious Ritsu. “What's wrong? Do you want to cum?”
Such dirty words being spilled into Onodera's ears were making him trust up into his superior's hips on his own volition. “Yes! Yes please Takano-san!!” he cried urgently for his release.
“Fuck, you're so damn adorable!! I can't...” Takano loosened his grip on his member only to grab both sides of Onodera's hips pounding into him without mercy. The headboard starting to slam into the wall. Thankfully that wall only linked to Takano's empty living room. “Ritsuuu!” Takano called into the night as he filled Ritsu's insides with his white hot passion.
Onodera also came gloriously. His load even managing to land on his chin and neck. He whined cutely as they came down from their nirvana. “Well damn!” Takano stifled a chuckle seeing the mess Ritsu made on himself.
“W..what?” Onodera managed his voice. Takano merely just went down and began to lick it off his chin. The newbie editor's eyes grew wide as he figured out just what he was licking and why he was laughing. “T...Takano-san! Stop that, it's gross!!” he cried searching Takano's night stand for some tissues.
“It's not gross. I love the way you taste. I thought you'd know that with all those blow jobs I love to give you,” he said holding fast to Onodera's body and nuzzling his neck.
“Stop saying such embarrassing things!”
“You're really some idiot...” Takano laughed again into his love's neck.
Author's Remarks
Ahhhh kinda rambled with this one ^^;; Ah well. I'm hoping to stop talking about this oc so much now that you pretty much know all about her now and I can have some real fun XDD I think I can make her character a bit more subtle while still having her play a role in their lives. She's a mary-sue after all....or supposed to be...
Also. When you see the guys gush about Meiri-chan's manga, some of these are actually my REAL thoughts I have about Nakamura-sensei's work (Particularly the huge comment back in the prologue that Kisa gave). Some comments you see going toward Meiri's manga are really compliments I myself give about Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Junjou Romantica. So when it sounds like I'm tooting her horn...it's really me just being a fan girl to Nakamura-sensei ^////^
