Love turned Memories.

Now I wouldn’t say Kirishima is Sentimental.

But after the war, he realised just how much he had to lose.

That day he thought he lost you and, he realised how little he appreciated your presence.

Now of course he wasn’t neglectful or anything, you were the love of his life and had his undivided attention majority of the day.

But that day, he learnt just how fragile his world was.

It was beautiful, yes. A beautiful large glass statue, etheral in all senses, surrounded by flowers that glinted just right when reflecting off the glass. But it was just that. Glass.

It was strong to a point. But then it could be shattered, broken, destroyed, leaving him no way to repair it and build it up again.

He couldn’t afford that.

He wanted to remember. He wanted to live in the moment without desperately memorising every little feature and blemish on your face, in the fear that one day he might have to recount it to someone else in a panic, that he might forget the look of.. you in your eyes.

No. He wanted to memorise your features for no other reason than the fact you were gorgeous.

He knew the issues that came with being a hero, but he also knew it wasn’t right.

You noticed of course. Well maybe not enough; but you noticed his little digicam. He never left the house without it, sneaking pictures of anything and everything.

Random one might say, but it was his little secret and you weren’t about to question it if it made him happy.

It was on an uneventful night you found out why.

Ei hadn’t came to bed, opting on finishing his pile of paperwork, but you were spread thin when it seemed impossible to fall asleep in your empty bed.

2:26AM

He still wasn’t in bed.

Stumbling out, accidentally running into things, you made your way to his home office down the hall. It wasn’t somewhere you went often, having no reason since he tended to prefer doing all his work at the agency. Work Life balance and all that.

Creaking the door open, you were greeted with the sight of your boyfriend asleep, his head on the desk, something gripped in his hand.

Approaching closer you noticed it for the first time. An awful lot of SD cards in a little jar ontop of a small journal.

It seemed important.

Yet you couldn’t help your curiosity as you gently pried one out of the small neck of the jar, plugging it in to check what was on it.

4:18AM

Thousands. There were thousands of photos. Overwhelming really.

But you know what was more overwhelming? The percentage of them being of you when you weren’t looking.

Some asleep, some eating, some laughing, but none posed, all candids.

But not in a creepy way.

Never in a creepy way.

They were all taken in the way a child looks at their favourite cartoon character. In the way it hurt your heart, wringed it dry, yet was the very air that kept you alive.

It was so raw.

So real.

You tentatively picked up the journal underneath and started reading.

5:03AM

Your eyes were drooping, yet you didn’t fall asleep. You couldn’t.

You knew Ei loved you like you loved him, but this was something else.

Hundreds of pages just about you.

Enough to be a romance book really, a muse he wrote about.

You doubted it sometimes ofcourse. It was hard not to when you were dating the kin of a greek god. But wow.

This man loved you.
