Today, we hold Martin Luther King Jr. in our hearts. As the overwhelming emergence of dystopia takes the American Government, Donald J Trump is inaugurated for the second time. Justice feels like a whisper of the past. But justice is not won by politicians. Peace is not a gift from the oppressor. Justice is the power of the oppressed rising up against the forces that fight against us.

Justice is a battle that has been fought since the beginning of time itself. It is built on love, but not on gentleness.

As we enter this new chapter of politics, I urge us all to carry this with us.

We must move with love AND power. There are no wars won by gentleness.

Love thy neighbour means to fight for thy neighbour. Love thy neighbour means we must also discipline those who are guilty of spreading hate.

Silence is only placing more power into the hands of the evil. Use your voice, use your actions, use YOUR power.

Now is the time to hold your neighbours accountable. Make art, attend rallies, participate in your local communities.

We can’t keep getting caught up in partisan politics under the guise of moral superiority. We can’t keep letting them pit us against each other over who gets the right to be themselves. While we fight useless battles against one another, the rich laugh in our faces as they get richer.

Always remember, together we outnumber them.<3

(This is connected with my standing headcanon that Arthur Adams was in a similar yet different situation from Archie a decade back, just that he never rly broke with Hiram. That's why Hiram uses him as the fake FBI agent. It's not just a test for Archie, it's a demonstration of his power over Adams as well. "You know what I'm going to do to this boy and you will play an active role in facilitating it." And Adams goes along with it until he doesn't which is crucially after Archie demonstrates his loyalty to Hiram and Hiram calls him a 'good boy')
