Beech VC-6A on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force

The VC-6A was primarily used to transport President Johnson and his family between Bergstrom AFB, TX and the family ranch near Stonewall. The aircraft became informally known as the 'Lady Bird Special', a play on the childhood nickname "Lady Bird" of First Lady Claudia Johnson. This plane was retired to the Air Force Museum in September 1985 and is now on display in the Presidential Gallery

First you steal the plane, then you work on it, with help of course. After all, you gotta work together to make it work. Once hat's done then you have to check it and then you can see if it flies. Don't look at me in that tone, just because I can fly doesn't mean that this isn't just as exciting, commanding something that man made in order to mimic us, doing what was thought to be impossible. It's honestly incredible.

Dropping a very special Sketch-a-wish, voted on by my lovely Patreon members for August! The winning request was to illustrate an off-page scene from The Folk of the Air series, when Cardan was writing his letters to Jude. I countered that Cardan went through the five stages of grief writing those letters, and each deserved it's own illustration. (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance) You'll also notice some familiar outfits throughout! Have a great weekend. :)

I love how jude starts the series by saying Cardan is the most cruel of them all, just to be reveled later on that he's in fact the least cruel faerie that has ever faeried
