don't mind me just imagining a world where jroth and kim shumway were banned from twitter and social media as a whole for the duration of the t100 apart from five minutes a month
part of me wants to remember what made the fandom so toxic and how much it came from those to wankers to basically highlight how not to interact with a fan base but I also don't want to get annoyed and frustrated (which is sure to happen as most i remember is jason/ kim says shit= fandom bullying got a jolt and huge upkick/ daddy basically remembering specific interactions? would be helpful but also scared and nervous)
them & that layne loser who was so determined to have her opinion be canon?? like the shit that came especially around the lexa death / s3 era was just horrendous on all sides & the showrunners did nothing but make it worse.
then when it got exposed that they were being abusive on set & their racism / sexism soon followed, then they finally shut the fuck up. interesting!

Remember when miss Kim Shumway and her sidekick/worshipper Layne Morgan called Bellamy and therefore Bob, WHITE?! VERY PUBLICLY?!?! ALL TO PROP UP A FICTIONAL SHIP??? AND LAYNE ENCOURAGED CLEXAS TO COME AFTER BOB AGAINT FOR BEING A “WHITE” MAN?!!
cause I never forgot lmao.
And remember how Kim was not only not fired on the spot, but also eventually promoted to the show runner???
And Layne got a job as a P.A..???
What a shit show.

TW/ MISCARRIAGE DEATH SUICIDE
After all the rewrites i find so unsettling to make Eliza do THAT scene, potentially killing her tv child after everything she went trough, RECENTLY. Each event like this makes me despise that man more and more. Another white guy writing abot "morality" and "do better" and "rights and wrongs" failing miserably
this goes to Kim Shumway too, both of them team up to write such a horrible ending

To provide context to @travllingbunny's comment:
What the podcaster revealed about what he thinks about the shippers (she stopped making podcasts on the show after s5 following these comments from Jason and others Kim Shumway would have made on Unity Days):
Tumblr media
2. That adds up to what Aaron said in a podcast in 2014 (at that time the writing team apologized and relativized Aaron's words but time confirmed it).
Tumblr media
3. This again adds up to something a fan commented on twitter in 2021. She left the fandom after being warned by a writer of seasons 1/2:
Tumblr media
4. Jason's ego on set. He has a history of punishing actors who proposed changes to his storylines: Ricky wanted Lincoln to have a mediating role in Polis (basically Clarke's role in s3). He also has a history of punishing actors who need time off (Zach's case):
Tumblr media
5. His desire to subvert expectations and be edgy: Aaron's comments on that podcast give an idea of what he was looking to generate with his narrative (the "delicious" pain he wanted to achieve and referenced before and after filming Lxa's death).
Tumblr media
6. He certainly loved when his show was compared to Games of Thrones.

Hi. Why do you think 7 season of the 100 went so bad? What happend?
Frankly, I've been thinking about it for three years and I'm still short of a good answer. I cannot believe that this has been the design for the moral of this story from the beginning, because it doesn't make any sense and has nothing to do with the plot or the characters' journey throughout the years. Never mind the fact that this has never been a deus-ex-machina aliens shows 🤦‍♀️
Honestly, the only thing that ever made sense to me was, well, spite.
Jason used Bob's unavailability to punish him, Eliza and the entire fandom for--being there for the show since the beginning, basically. They dared to momentarily divert attention from his brilliance and we were a little too smart and figured out where the story was going too well. And instead of being happy that we were so devoted to the show and to the story, he got his ego hurt. It's not a rational thing and it's not how grown-ups should behave in grown-up situations but here we are. I genuinely believe that this turn into the unexpected was Jason's way of proving that we ain't as clever as we thought we were. I mean, hands up, who guessed that ending?!
Also, actor's temporary unavailability is a shitty reason to kill off a character and every time that happens, I become enraged. Actors have stuff going on all the time. They get pregnant, they get other gigs, they get ill, break bones and go to rehab all the damn time. The writers do know how to get around that. Teen Wolf worked Dylan O'Brien leaving into a pretty fricking fantastic story in 6A. NCIS: Los Angeles worked Miguel Ferrer literally dying into the plot and give his character a touching send-off.
Choosing to use this opportunity to enact revenge and prove that you are the overlord isn't just childish, it's stupid. But at least, he seems to be paying for that now. His prequel got scrapped faster than you can say "ha-ha" and I haven't even heard a whisper about a new project, which is well and truly deserved.
So, to sum up this long-winded tirade, I think what happened was bruised ego. Which the most moronic reason for wrecking shit up I've ever heard of.

OperationBardos Identy?
So was it confirmed that Kim Shumway was operationbardo this whole time feeding us fake spoilers, because she wrote tonight’s episode and if I wasn’t watching before I’m definitely not watching now. The only proof we had was that they both used the term your favorite human writer or something like that. If this is something that both JRoth and Kim do for fun, toying with the fans, it’s really fucked up and cruel. I have no desire to watch anything they are attached to ever again. Bridges have been burnt.

I checked KimShum’s twitter to see if she was hinting at anything but she went private lol. I guess she finally had enough of blarkes slinging shit at her.
When the shows over and they’re screaming about not getting blarke, I hope Kim is like “well this is why”

So they sent 100 juvenile delinquents to the ground
2 died on impact which makes 98 delinquents
Bellamy snuck on the ship which brings the number to 99
And then Raven gets sent down which brings it back to 100
It’s not the 102, it’s the 100 and it always has been

You thought Jason was bad? At least he knows that Bellamy and Clarke are important to each other. Kim on the other hand....

It’s official, S7 is our last
Almost an hour ago, JRoth announced that season 7 will be the 100′s final season. Frankly, I can’t say I didn’t see it coming. When they ordered 16 episodes for s7 I started getting an inkling like many others. It’s too perfect of an opportunity to not end the 100 on its hundredth episode; a bow on top of it all.
But I’m hugely nervous. I am truly terrified. I have grown to love this show so much and the combined variables of s7 being the final season and Kim Shumway taking the reins on it make me fear the worst. Shumway has been with the show for a long time, and at this point, everyone has an opinion on her writing. Personally, I don’t like her writing. I think that it contradicts everything it allegedly stands for. She is all for female empowerment, which is great, who doesn’t love a good strong female lead? But it’s the way she writes those characters to be “strong”. Shumway has this tendency to put the feminism first in the episodes she writes, and not the plot or characters’ relationships. Especially in 6x12, I felt like it was a KShum fanfic rather than a continuation of the story. (Ex: that weird-ass, out of character hug between Clarke and Echo. She has a need to put the message of “girl power” in a place where it doesn’t make sense to be in.) KShum also makes the male characters that don’t fit her narrative, seem weak, unintelligent and one-dimensional. Don’t believe me? Do a search on her, and you will find that she is notorious for hating Bellamy Blake. She lets her personal opinion of his character interfere with her job as a screenwriter. Rather than writing his lines in character as a family/friend oriented, clever, and headstrong guy, she writes him as this impulsive, and selfishly oriented character who hasn’t changed from the s1 douche we first met him as. Frankly, that is not only unfair to the character, but also to the entire collection of characters on this cast. The show highlights the way people change because of the things they have had to face on earth. Bellamy is probably the prime example of character arcs in this show, but according to her perception, people aren’t allowed to adapt or change.
And now, my biggest fear is that because KShum loves her female leads, and puts them on this pedal stool of glory, Bellarke likely will never happen. Which sucks. It sucks ogre toes. Look out Stydia fans! Bellarkers will soon be joining the station of “years of build-up, and zero pay-off”.
Ever since this show started, we were given hints and crumbs of Bellarke. 6 years worth of getting hopes up for the next season, for it to all crash and burn in front of our eyes. I am very upsetti spaghetti about this as you can tell. I may not have been here since the very first pilot episode, but I too have been in line to see this ship set sail. And, ya know what? We probably will even get a becho break up. Yeah at this rate we likely will, and we will all get our hopes up. But in the finale, we’ll find out that all those pining looks were really directed at Echo, and Clarke was secretly in love with her all this time. And we will end up with a Clecho fandom and a dead Bellamy.
So yes, I’m freaking nervous for what s7 holds.
Please make me eat my words KShum!! Prove me wrong!

That’s why she doesn’t see Madi or Lexa or Jasper or any of them, because she can’t face them, and that’s what Octavia is calling her out on.
honey your lack of consistency and bellamyphobia is 100% showing

Thoughts on Kim Shumway running the show next year? Heard she's racist and hates Bellamy. The eps she's written do have him as just part of the action. 😕 My main concern is Raven. KS wrote great Raven & Sinclair and Raven/Luna scenes, but she also did the Wick/Raven sex scene and Nevermore. I don't care about Bell*rke but I want Raven to make it to the end. (Along with O and Spacekru, but trying not to push my luck.)
Hmmm...I’m torn, tbh.
I personally liked Wick/Raven (just not the asshole who played him), and I also enjoyed Nevermore, so I’m not totally sure what you mean in comparing those scenes/episodes - sorry! I wouldn’t mind hearing about why you didn’t like them, though!
I also cannot confirm or deny her being racist - she probably is, since she’s a white lady, and all white people (I’m white, ftr) are raised to unconsciously support white supremacy, whether they want to or not, unless they do specific and intentional work against those attitudes. Whether she’s done the necessary work to unpack and confront all of that is another question, and I honestly just don’t know enough about her to make a call on that. I hope she has. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if she hasn’t, because most white people never do.
That being said, this show has a terrible track record with race, and the way they treat characters and actors of color (Ricky Whittle has never held back about the way he was treated on set,) and I don’t expect that to change in a meaningful way by the final season. I guess my point is that I don’t expect KS’s influence to impact that, either way.
Looking at the episodes she has been involved with before now, I’m wary, but not totally turned off. I enjoy some of the really angsty shit this show has done, and it seems like she’s been a part of those consistently. Before now, most of what I’d heard about her in fandom is that she’s anti-Be//arke, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. I know Clexas used to love her? But maybe don’t anymore?
I suppose part of the issue I’m having in forming a steadfast opinion is that I’ve never paid all that much attention to who was driving, behind-the-scenes. I don’t love JRoth, but that’s been much more informed by the opinions of people I follow than it has my actual, own research into it.
I definitely need Raven to survive, however. She’s been given such unsatisfying and disappointing storylines the past two seasons. I hope they actually utilize her this season, and that they find a good, happy ending for her. If she dies, I’ll be really pissed. I’m also pulling for Spacekru, but have low hopes. With it being the last season, no one’s job is on the line anymore - they’ll all be moving on, so there are fewer hard feelings or issues with killing off one or more OGs. And if they want to mimic s1 and s2 vibes, which they will, they’re gonna have to kill a few more people off.
Prayer circle for Raven, Emori, and Octavia. I’m the most worried about them. (I also tend to think that either Bellamy or Clarke will kick the bucket this season, but that’s just a hunch, and isn’t based on anything external.)
Thank you for the question.

Mr. Condescending
i didn't expect a fairytale ending, i knew that Bellamy was most likely a goner, but absolutely not like this, we know now that he had time to make a fitting and deserving ending for him but he choose the lamest death ever We are supposed to believe he was suddenly a villain when clearly the guy was traumatized after everything he went trough to save his sister, and all the poeple he considered family, we SAW that what he experienced was real, was that a simulation? he experienced it so for him was very real. and his after death was poor writing, "i did everything" no you didn't, "he manipulated Raven for 6 years" what the actual fuck. Bellamy's death brought a parade of character assasination for everyone. And this is only on 7B. 7A was Echo's show that lead to nothing... or better said, lead to Sheiheda and Cadogan's show, two guys that as second or 3rd plot would have been fine but they are there just because Jason Rothenberg wants a grounders sequel, and to my very personal opinion he didn't knew how to balance the main storyline with his 2nd toy... just like D&D threw away an excelent series like Game Of Thrones just because they wanted to focus on Star Wars (and they didn't even got to do that).
so, needless to say, it's disappointing and a little sad that a show that i loved for many years has an awful finale, we are allowed to be angry or whatever you’re feeling right now,
but anyways, i hope you’re safe and healthy, i would like to send everyone a virtual hug
