İş ortamı konulu bir diziyle karşı karşıyayız. Zorluklarını ve kolaylıklarını karakterlerin hayatları ile birleştirip önümüze koyuyor. Bana ilk başlarda” Forecasting love & weather “havası vermiş olsa da çok geçmeden benzemediğini anladım. Dizinin yazarı Dr. Romantic dizisinden aşina olduğum bir isimken, yönetmeni ise Secret Garden dizisinden biliyoruz. Bu seferki iş ortamımız; havaalanı. Han Yeo-Reum (Chae Soo-Bin), havaalanında istediği departmanda çalışmak için uzun süredir çabalamaktadır. Sonunda istediği departmanda işe girer. Sakarlığı ve başına açtığı işiler nedeniyle sürekli dikkatleri üzerine toplayan bir kadındır. Tek amacı başarılarıyla dikkat çekmektir. İş arkadaşı Lee Soo-Yeon (Lee Je-Hoon) ise az konuşan, dikkat çekmeden yaşamaya çalışan sırlarla dolu bir adamdır. Sırrını yalnızca müdürü bilmektedir, böyle de kalması için dikkat çekmeden normal bir hayat yaşamalıdır. Yeo-Reum bir yıl önce başına gelen bir kazada onu kurtaran kişinin Soo-Yeon olduğunu fark edince genç adamın hayatı da istediği normallikten uzaklaşmaya başlar.

Soo-Yeon alışık olduğumuz yakışıklı Kore aktörlerinden değil. Oyuncuyu ilk kez izliyorum, kendince bir cazibesi var ama orta segment bir karakter olmuş. Buna rağmen oyunculuk olarak üst seviyelerde olduğunu düşünüyorum. Hikayeye dönecek olursak, Soo-Yeon 12 yıl önce geçirdiği bir trafik kazası sonucu bir bacağı ve bir kolu sakat kalmış, 1.derece engelli olarak görünmektedir. Ancak kullandığı onaylanmamış protezler ile dışarda bu engelleri belli olmamaktadır. Onaylanmamış bu cihazın limitlerini kendisi de bilmediğinden, sıradan bir insan gibi yaşamaya çalışsa da ne yazık ki sıradan olmaktan çok uzaklaşıyor. Sağ kolu ve bacağında his olmamasının yanı sıra protez takılı olduğunda normal bir insandan kat be kat daha güçlü olmaktadır.

Zaten işin bu tarafına girildiği zaman dizi bir tık fantastik bir hal alıyor. Uzunca bir süre seyirci içinde gizemini koruyor. Ne olmuş, nasıl olmuş, cihaz neymiş, neden takmış şeklinde. Bu soru yağmurunun ve gizemi bir yana koyarsanız, asıl rahatsız edici olan ise, güvenlik şefi ve yönetim şefinin cihazın varlığından haberdar olup bunu takıntı haline getirmeleri. Uzunca bir süre sürekli “o cihazı görelim. O cihaz ne? Tehlikelisin git buradan. 1.derece engelli nasıl böyle yürür.” Gibi cümleler kurup sorular sordular. Bütün bu kısmı, NE OLMUŞ PROTEZİ VARSA!!! Diye isyan ederek izledim. O kadar anlamsız geldi ki, anlatamam.

Dizide birçok klişeyi de yapmayı unutmamışlar. Eskiden tanışmışlık, tesadüf diye bir şey yok karşılaşmalar, birbirinden yanlış anlamasın diye sır saklayıp yanlış anlaşılmalar. Ailevi bağlantılarda var tabi. Diğer yandan oyuncular oldukça doyurucuydu. Chae Soo-Bin’i daha önce “I'm not a robot” dizisinde izlemiş, beğenmiştim. Daha sonra Love in the Moonlight dizisinde yan karakterlerden biri olarak gözüme çarptı. Angel’s Last Mission: Love dizisinin kara meleği Lee Dong-Gun, Hwarang dizisinin bencil kraliçesi Kim Ji-Soo, Tomorrow dizisinin asi genci Ro Woon, Strong girl Do Bong Soon dizisinde iki farklı rolde izlediğim ve daha sonrasında birçok dizide de karşılaşıp beğendiğim Kim Won-Hae, Vincenzo’nun dansları ile öne çıkan kötü kadını Kim Yeo-Jin, Mystic Pop-up Bar dizisinin gizli jönü Choi Won-Young.  Ve sayamadığım birçok başarılı oyuncu diziden gelmiş geçmiş. Bu açıdan çok keyif aldım diyebilirim.

İkinci erkek, ikinci kadın gibi tat kaçıran konuları çok uzatmadılar. İkinci erkek aynı zamanda kızımızın en yakın arkadaşıydı, öyle kalmaya devam etti. Üzmediler, üzülmedik. Beni rahatsız eden, kadın-erkek ilişkilerinden çok abi-kardeş ilişkisiydi. Lee Soo-Yeon (Lee Je-Hoon) ve Seo In-Woo (Lee Dong-Gun) üvey kardeşlermiş. Ne hikmetse, kaza sonrası kanlı bıçaklı düşman olmuşlar. Onların arasındaki bu husumet o kadar büyütüldü ki sonunda bağladıkları noktada hiç tatmin edici değildi. Gereğinden fazla yükseldiler. İkinci çift ise güvenlik ekibindeydi. Birbirlerini süzmenin bir tık ötesine gidemediler. Yine de ikilinin ayrı bir dizisi olsa izlenebilirdi.

Ve sonuç olarak, final… Galiba sonunda bir sorun yaşanmış. Dizi 24 bölüm olarak tasarlanıp, 16 bölümde bitmeye zorlanmış gibiydi. Fiziksel ve ruhsal engeller üzerine izleyiciyi düşündürmeyi başarıyor. Kore dizilerinin en büyük klasiği olan dizi sonu zaman atlaması tabi ki burada da karşımıza çıkıyor. Ancak buradaki sıkıntı dizinin bitmeden bitmiş olması. Her şey havadayken bir anda 1 yıl geçti. Ne oldu da geçti, nasıl geçti bilinmiyor. Neden araya öyle bir ayrılık girildi o da bilinmiyor. En komiği ise son sahnede başrol erkeğin suratını gizleme çabasıydı. 1 yıl sonra dönüp gelen adamın ense tıraşını izledik. Kime neye tepki olarak çekildi anlam veremedim.

Ayrıca, dizinin genelinde birçok şey cevapsız ve havada kaldı. Üvey abinin babası ile olan mevzu neydi, neden izledik. Kocası tarafından aldatılan çalışanın hikayesi ne oldu. Güvenlik şefi ve bizim ekibin yöneticisi kadın nasıl bir ilişki içerisindeydiler, üvey abi bu ilişkinin neresindeydi. Bu üçlü arasındaki ilişki neydi? Üvey abinin babasına ne oldu, neden görüşmüyorlardı? Takım şefi ile sakat çocuk nasıl tanıştı, neden kardeşi yerine koydu. Güvenlik görevlilerinin arası ne oldu, neden anlatılmadı. Gibi gibi gibi… Tavsiye eder miyim, ederim. Her şeye rağmen güzel diziydi.

It's so interesting to see how your if blew up so quickly. It's of course well deserved since u r so talented and your characters are incredible! It's been a while since I've been this invested in an if. Your characters just feel so human and so refreshing. I adore them all your honor. This is literally the first time I was confused at who I was going to romance out of the ROs because everyone is just amazing. I was watching the glory and the actor jung sung il really gave me orion vibes.

At first i thought people would not vibe with the flaws that they carry, or the affair route (i was very close to not including it) but im glad i stuck with my gut. i never wanted a squeaky clean cast. i just like characters who can be considered both a villain and hero to someone depending on perspective

for grayson, i couldn't find any french or polish actors that truly fit him, perhaps i just didn't look hard enough, but i think robbie amell is at the very least a good face claim.

i had the same problem for kennedy, there weren't really any actresses that looked like her or fit her vibe. i think i'd probably go with candice patton.

alex was definitely the easiest lol. for f!alex, i'd say seo ye-ji and for m!alex, kim soo-hyun.

Watch how no one realized that it's not him, even his father

He watch them from afar, afraid to get close

My controversial Kdrama opinions

1. Ko Moon Young was just a psychologically messed up girl. She isn't the 'girlpower' or 'badass' that the Kdrama fandom likes to dub her into.

2. In 'Hotel del Luna', they could've just chucked the entire character of Gu Chansung out of the window and gave Chang Myung a rebirth/rebirths,make him go through various trials and tribulations to repent and earn Man Wol's forgiveness. Didn't have to make it unnecessarily tragic.

3. Unnecessarily tragic reminds me, the 'realistic' ending of 2521 was a JOKE. There was NO point of developing such a power couple if they were to break up for such a mundane reason.

4. Romance genre isn't Song Kang's 'thing'. He shines better as an actor in non-romance genres.

5. Had they focused on developing Ju Kyung as an individual character who finally learns how to completely take a stand for herself instead of dangling her between Suho and Seojun, 'True Beauty' would've become a more popular and appreciated drama.

6. The love line between Hwang InYeop and Seo Hyun Jin's character in 'Why her: Oh Soo Jae' was absolutely unnecessary and awkward.

7. Jo Bo Ah and Ahn Bo Hyun and an amazing chemistry in 'Military Prosecutor: Do Bae Man'. However, they could've developed a slowburn romance between them instead of abruptly putting a kiss sequence in the last episode out of nowhere.

8. In 'Snowdrop', Eun Young Ro forgiving Soo Ho later on didn't make sense. Their kiss sequence was purely fan service,nothing else.

9. Individual acting aside,Kim Hye Yoon had more chemistry with Lee Jae Wook(2nd lead) than Rowoon(main lead) in 'Extraordinary You'.

10. Writers are overusing 'Let's kill off the main character and make the show tragically memorable' trope wayyy too much.

11. As much as it physically hurts me given the chemistry of the actors,Choi Do Il and Oh In Joo not having any proper romantic sequence till the end of 'Little Women' makes sense to the storyline(the shipper me might've wanted a hug though).

12. Also the writers should stop doing the 'lets make the second lead better than the main lead'. Its annoying to see one person actually making sincere effort for the girl but the girl ends up totally ignoring their effort and like the ML. Not in just Kdramas but in all sorts of dramas. I actually saw a Chinese drama where the second lead finally turned into a villain. I LITERALLY commented 'good for him' lmao.

13. Sunho in 'Cheer Up' is problematic. Neither his sad backstory nor his sincere feelings for Haeyi changes that fact.

14. The Heirs(2013) drama wasted an opportunity to pair Young Do(Kim Woobin) with Yoo Rachel(Kim Jiwon). No, they didn't need to be 'siblings'. I'd have chosen the two heartbroken yet sassy and tough people romance over the sappy romance of the main couple in a heartbeat. And the actors would've NAILED it.

15. Jojo not ending up with Sunho in 'Love Alarm' finally broke the 'Cinderella and Prince Charming' fairytale trope of Kdramas. That girl was too messed up in the head . She didn't need the rich,fierce and impulsive lover, but the quite,patient and thoughtful one. So don't go ahead and say the ending sucked. Maybe they could've made things more coherent, but no the ending didn't suck.

16. Moon Dong Eun should have remained single, with the last episode ending with him crossing paths with Do Yeong, with Yeonjin & gang & all the revenge agenda gone, she could hv offered him a smile and a game of Go, keeping an open ending for them. Lee Do Hyun was fabulous in playing Yeojeong and their chemistry was amazing. But they could hv just been partners in crime with their teamwork without the romantic plot between them.

17. No. Ryu Shi Oh doesn't give second lead syndrome. Byun Woo Seok is a very good actor but he plays the villain in 'Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon' and not anti-hero. Lee Yoo Mi and him should be paired opposite to e/o in some other project in the future but Shi Oh and Nam Soon ain't the 'enemies to lovers' you think it is.

18. After Byun Woo Seok's popularity skyrocketed with 'Lovely Runner', many people dug up his previous works & lamented over not noticing him earlier. People even felt sad that he got his recognition late. But honestly, he wasn't very noticeable as an actor in his earlier stages imo. He kept working hard on his acting skills to get to where he is now. What I applaud about him is not giving up & putting the efforts in all right places but he didn't start from a 100.

19. I'm actually glad they brought back the fresh romcoms in 2024. Got tired of consistently watching crime thrillers,school violence,zombie apocalypse and stuff. I mean, of course they're good. But the key ingredient for Kdramas will always be those cringey classic slightly over-the-top romcoms.

20. Cha Eunwoo's acting in 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty' isn't as bad as people try to make it. His character actually demanded those stank cold expressions that he delivered. In fact, I'd say his character Do Kyeong Seok was one of the first Kdrama male leads that actually understood and empathised with the FL's situation and protected her in his own way without going over-the-top cliche "she is my yeoja and only I can bother her" about it.

my fav jisung watches, answering @stars-after-dark since i know i'll get hit by character limit. based off my list of what shows of his i've seen here.

new heart is absolutely a must. jisung is so baby-faced, but i actually really, really loved the show a lot that i bought it on dvd. he also co-stars with kim minjung, so it's so wild to see them young in contrast to the devil judge. they play their characters so well, that you don't get caught up on the fact that it's the same people.

kim soo ro - i mention this not bc i think it's great by any means. it's entertaining, frustrating plot-wise, but if you do want eye-candy, this is it. i'm literally not even sorry about that.

ps partner/watcha wearin is SO GOOD. like it's so good, but i think it freaks ppl out bc it's a a romcom about a dude who accidentally has phone sex with a woman. so there's a few sex scenes in it, but i think it lends itself well to the plot of the story rather than being there out of unnecessary reasons. i also love a good romcom, especially those with unique plots. this is one of them.

kill me, heal me. it's a bit corny in places, but i do think the heart of the story and the different characters you mean are so incredibly lovely. jisung's character has DID, and you can't help but love each of his identities. perry park has such a soft spot on me. (he also brings out perry's voice as an easter egg in the devil judge!!)

the vampire lives next door to us is a short film. it's on youtube, so a very easy watch and a very interest ending that pulls on the heartstrings. it seems silly at first, but there's meaning behind it.

entertainer is what you'd wanna watch if you just want to see a pretty jisung, lmao. that and his group of baby boys. it's actually pretty good, though i will say the one aspect i didn't like is the one chick meant to be the love interest is very minor-coded (seems helpless, innocent), so that's a bit uh odd. but i'd say still watch it bc the rest of the plot is good.

(everyone says watch defendant, but i think it dragged on too long and wasn't as good. it's his most well-known role, i believe. up to you to see it. it's not a bad watch, just so-so for me).

familiar wife and doctor john kinda live on the same level for me. i don't love them, but i don't hate them. i have a very big pet peeve with familiar wife that i've talked about before on here, but i'd only be able to share if you've see it bc it'd ruin the whole plot. jisung is very good at humor though! doctor john is good/interesting. i do feel like they wrapped up the ending in one ep.

adamas is...... how to explain this one. i love the twins (my icon is one of em). they are my loves, nearly on par with kang yohan. i think the issue with this show is that you feel like it's leading you into a very big plot or big reveal, and it doesn't really do that? it's shrouded in mystery, and it's so hard to explain. i still think it's interesting enough to watch, esp maybe on a rewatch (as i want to do) bc i feel like there might be things that get missed with the storytelling. the ending is 😭 so be prepared. it's a bit slower paced storytelling, so it may be really hard to sit and watch, esp the first few eps. but if anything, get through it for the twins!!!!!! i love them!!!!!!!

Game Of The Year: "TMNT: Shredder's Revenge"

What a blast, still good to slam back into, choc full of references to the OG beat 'em ups. Part way between the Scott Pilgirm and Streets Of Rage 4.

Album Of The Year: "Past Lives", L.S. Dunes

After the past year and beyond, what people have been thru mentally and societally it was like.. It hit home from minute one. What a debut album from the super group. Neccesary listen, if you try anything because of this, make it that album.

Single Of The Year: "Foundations Of Decay", My Chemical Romance

Spoken from the scar, not the wound. What a year for the faithful. You must fix your heart!

From Left Field Award: "Over The Hill", Ginger Root

Damned if I didn't think I'd love city pop, and Ginger Roots' style is so chill, but still a banger single.

Concept Album Of The Year: "Hawaii: Part II", Miracle Musical

This album from way back in 2012 took me on such a wonderful journey. I love concept albums, can't believe I only got to it recently.

Been Here The Whole Time Award: "How To Let Go", Sigrid

I was a Sigrid fan already, and the journey just keeps getting better. What a pop icon. What an album.

I like Your Old Stuff Better Than Your New Stuff Award: "My Mind Makes Noises", Pale Waves

The 80's style heartache album from 2018 filled my heart this year. Pale Waves hail from Manchester, my second home. It's got me crying and ugly dancing in my underwear, but the newer albums are very different.

It's Not A Phase, Mum Award: 80's Jazz Rock Fusion, I'm talking Masayoshi Takanaka.

I've just scratched the surface I think. Positive beach guitar vibes turned me onto the genre. Still so much to listen thru!

My Jam Right Now Award: Korean Punk Rockers SONIC STONES

Got turned onto them thanks to The Hungry And The Hairy on Netflix. Listening to "Bike To The Sun" was like hearing the metallic "Otherworld" in Final Fantasy X for the first time. Fuck yeah! Their album "BURNING US ALL" dropped last year, too.

TV Show Of The Year: "Korea No.1" Netflix

Such a great concept, this travel variety show starring Yu Jae-seok, Lee Kwang-soo and Kim Yeon-koung pits the hosts against each other to apprentice under master craftspeople of intangible cultural importance. I would love a second season in 2023.

TV Rewind Of Yhe Year: "The Hungry And The Hairy" Netflix

Rain and Ro Hong-chul tear it up on various motorbikes, eating and chatting shit every step of the way. REED HASTINGS! Bring back HUNGRY and the HAIRY PLEASE! LET'S MAKE MORE MEMORIES TOGETHER!

 Kore’deki çalışma sistemi, iş bulma süreci ve torpil mevzularına basa basa fantastik bir konuya giriş yapıyoruz. Dizimiz Choi Jun-Woong (Ro Woon) adında bir gencin uzunca bir süredir iş araması ile başlıyor. Onlarca mülakat, onlarda başvuru yapmasına ve hatta aranılan işlere gereğinden fazla yeterli olmasına rağmen, bir türlü iş bulamayışını izliyoruz. Tam olduğunu düşündüğü anda, torpili olan bir başkası onun yerine işe alınıyor. Yine bir iş mülakatından olumsuz cevap aldığı bir gün, bütün umutları tükenmiş çaresiz hissederken köprüden birinin atlamak üzere olduğunu görüyor. Onu kurtarmak için hamle yaptığında ise adamla anlamsız bir boğuşmaca içine giriyorlar.

Bu sırada kendilerine kriz yönetimi ekibi adı verilen bir grup Azrail insanların intihar etmelerini önlemek ve onlara son bir şans vermek için görevlendirilmiş. Diğer Azrail’lerin görevi ölen insanların ruhlarına eşlik etmekken, bu ekip öbür dünyadaki popülasyonu kontrol altında tutmak için insanların kendi tercihi ile ölmelerini durdurmaktır. İntihar etmek üzere olan bu adamı durdurmak için müdahale ettikleri sırada, Jun-Woong dengesini kaybeder ve adamla birlikte köprüden aşağı düşer. Kendini atan adam kurtulur ancak bizimki komaya girer. Bu noktada dizinin hikayesi şekillenmeye başlıyor. Ruhu Azraillerin olduğu alanda sıkışıp kalan karakterimize bir tercih sunulur. Ya kaderini yaşayacak ve 3 yıl boyunca komada kaldıktan sonra uyanacaktır, ya da 6 ay boyunca Azrail gruplarından birine katılıp çalışacaktır. 6 ay sonra uyandığında ise işi garantilenecektir. Yani bu noktadan sonra karakterimizin, Azraillere katılıp her bölüm bir hikaye şekilde olayları çözmesine bağlanıyor.

Kriz yönetim departmanının baş Azraili Koo Ryeon (Kim Hee-Seon), gerçekten karizmatik bir tercih olmuş. Kadının karizması kendinden önde yürüyor, tebrik ediyorum. İlk etapta Ro Woon bana oyuncu olarak daha başarılı başka bir oyuncuyu andırdı. Sanki diziye birinin sahtesini koymuşlar gibi hissettim. Ama ilerleyen bölümlerde bu hissiyatım kayboldu. Hatta bu rol için en iyi tercih olmuş diyebilirim. Oyuncuyu ilk defa izlediğim için daha fazla yorum yapamam ama tanıyanların yaptığı yorumlara baktığımda, önceki işlerine nazaran oyunculuğunu geliştirdiği söyleniyor.

İronik olacak belki ama insan eceli gelmeden ölmez dedikleri ecel dizide Koo Ryeon karakteri ile tasvir edilmiş gibi görünüyor. Sırf o değil, o ve ekibi diyebiliriz. İzlediğim en güzel fantastik dizi diyemem ama keyifle izlediğimi söyleyebilirim. Her bölüm ayrı bir hikaye olarak ilerlemesi, dizinin bölümler arasındaki merak faktörünü biraz baltalamış. Yine de bölümler akıcılığını koruyor. Her yeni konunun yanı sıra, karakterlerimizin de geçmiş hikayelerini öğreniyoruz. Aslında dizideki en olumsuz bulduğum şey geçmiş hikayelerinin bir süre sonra sıkmaya başlamasıydı. Dizi genel akışında sıkmasa da, karakterler ölümsüz olduğu için başlangıçları çoook eskiye gidiyordu. Çok eskideki o başlangıç hikayeleri ise izleyicinin bir yerden sonra ilgisini kaybediyordu.

İzlediğimiz bütün dizilerde ağzına kürekle vurulası bir karakter illa oluyor. Ve bu karakter genelde her türlü durumdan kendisini sıyırıp hakkettiği cezayı çekmiyor. Bu dizide en sevdiğim şey o karakterin ağzına ağzına vuruyor olmalarıydı. Öyle ki, içinizin yağları eriyor. Evet ya diyorsunuz, işte bunu hakketti. Oh be. Dizinin adalet sistemine bayıldım. Bunun bir nedeni de yine bölümlük hikayeler olması olabilir ama gerçekten beni inanılmaz tatmin etti. Şimdiye kadar o kadar çok iyi karakter resmettiler ki, başlarına ne gelire gelsin bir de öbür yanağını çevirip “iyiyim” demelerine alıştık. Burada onlardan görmemek şahaneydi.

Bitirmeden son olarak Lee Soo-Hyuk’dan da bahsetmek istiyorum. Kore standartlarına göre sıra dışı bir görüşe sahip başarılı oyuncu dizideki Park Joong-Gil rolüyle oldukça göz dolduruyordu. Dizideki genel karizmaya bir o kadar daha karizma katmıştı.

Bence sonunda konuyu bitirip nokta koydular. Ama bazıları asıl şimdi başlıyor diye yorum yapabilirler. Özetle, güzel zaman geçirebileceğiniz bir dizi olmuş.

KIM JISOO

Kim Ji-soo, más conocida como Jisoo, es una cantante, actriz, modelo, bailarina y presentadora surcoreana, miembro del grupo Blackpink. Se unió a YG Entertainment en 2011 y se convirtió en aprendiz durante cinco años antes de debutar con Blackpink en agosto de 2016.

Jisoo nació en Seúl, Corea del Sur, vivía con sus padres, abuelos, hermano mayor y hermana mayor. Desde pequeña Jisoo siempre quiso ser una Idol de k-pop, sin embargo sus padres hacían comentarios sobre lo fea que era, llegando al punto de llamarla "mono" haciéndola dudar si debería ser o no idol de k-pop pero ella no se rindió y no dejo que esos comentarios negativos la afectarán. Durante su niñez jugaba baloncesto y asistía a clases de Taekwondo, y se quedó como con cinturón blanco porque no quería cambiar de rango dejó de asistir; también se unió al club de teatro en su Escuela y fue parte de la banda de percusión tradicional. Estaba interesada en el kpop por su gusto al grupo masculino de su SM Entertainment, TVXQ.

En 2011 audicionó para YG Entertainment a la edad de 11 años, con la canción ‘I Have A Lover’ de Lee Eun Mi, destacando por su vos tipo mezzosoprano y logró convertirse en aprendiz de la compañía en Julio 2011. En 2012 la compañía tenía planeado debutarla en un nuevo grupo, llamado Pink Punk, pero ya no se escucharon más noticias y el debut no se realizo.

Durante su época pre-debut apareció en los MVs ‘Spoiler’ y ‘Happen Ending’ de Epik High y ‘I’m Different’ de Hi Suhyun. Fue modelo de marcas de Samsonite y Nikon y promocionó el videojuego de la compañía Fincon, llamado Angel Stone, también apareció en el drama ‘The Producers’ en los capítulo 4, 5 y 12.

En 2016 YG Entertainment revela los primeros avances de su nuevo grupo a debutar, Jisoo fue presentada como la tercera integrante de BLACKPINK el 15 de Junio de 2016.

El 08 de Agosto de 2016, Jisoo debuta junto a Jennie, Rosé, Lisa en BLACKPINK con su primer álbum sencillo, titulado ‘‘SQUARE ONE’’. El álbum cuenta con las canciones: “BOOMBAYAH” y “Whistle”.

Jisoo junto a Rosé han sido el rostro de ‘New Balm Cushion’ para la marca de cosméticos ‘Moonshot’, modelos para la marca de cosméticos ‘Kiss Me’ y para la campaña ‘HeroineMake Long & Curl’. Jisso también ha modelado y/o sido la portada de revistas como ‘InStyle’, ‘Allure’, ‘CéCi’, ‘Harper’s Bazaar Korea’, ‘Elle Korea’, ‘Vogue Korea’, ‘Dazed Korea’, ‘Marie Claire’, entre otras.

En 2016 Jisso fue MC especial del programa musical coreano Inkigayo, y MC especial del programa M! Countdown junto a Jennie. Desde Febrero de 2017 hasta Febrero de 2018 Jisoo fue MC de Inkigayo, , junto a Jinyoung de GOT7 y Doyoung de NCT. En 2019 participó en la serie ‘Arthdal Chronicles’. En 2021 protagonizó la serie ‘Snowdrop’ como Eun Young Ro.

En 2019 Jisoo se convirtió en Embajadora local de Dior para la marca de cosméticos Dior’s Beauty; y en marzo de 2021 fue anunciada como Embajadora global de Dior en las áreas de ‘Fashion and Beauty’. En 2021 Jisoo fue la modelo principal para la colección de primavera de 2021 de la marca de ropa ‘MICHAA’, se convirtió en el rostro oficial de la marca de telefónos ‘CELEBe’.

La cantante compartió emocionada la noticia con sus seguidores, junto a una foto en la que se luce con un sweater de punto estampado y una bandolera negra.

El debut de Jisoo como actriz principal ha llegado con el estreno de Snowdrop el 18 de diciembre. Cinco años después de ingresar al rubro del entretenimiento como idol del grupo K-pop BLACKPINK, y tras unos cuantos cameos en K-dramas, la famosa coreana brilla finalmente en un rol estelar, logrando así completar su último y más grande sueño.
