So, I'm looking for what I believe to be a piece of completely lost media - the Killer Kombat Pong series of QBASIC games that were distributed via the AOL games board sometime between 90 and 98. I've found similar games in the genre (Pong Worz, Pong Kombat 1+2), but not the KKP series. This is a shame, because KKP was the most polished and playable of the games - the first was very rudimentary with only a multiplayer mode and three characters, but the second and third games added full arcade modes (with character endings!) and a full roster.
If anyone knows of any mass archives of AOL-distributed BASIC games, please let me know.
@foone - I think you're my best hope for this.

TBH I don't like games lists on cabinets and think they detract from the design.. I covered up the list here..

Star War Build a roster
Inspired by the works of the @thorgisarcade this is a hypothetical roster for a Star Wars fighting game after Thorgi made the joke in his Mortal Kombat Vs Street Fighter build a Roster. So let’s be real this was probably a joke on his part and even if it wasn’t this is Star War this is Disney’s well I wouldn’t say child but their biggest money so I don’t think they would ever, but let’s imagine that the execs at Disney saw a market in the fighting scene for star wars and came to yours truly on the roster. Now I must say this roster is well I wouldn’t say, but its more from my knowledge of the franchise so sorry.
These are ordered by appearance
Base Roster
The Phantom Menace
Jar Jar- See if this was real it wouldn’t happen but if given creative freedom I would turn Jar Jar into something similar to Shaggy from Multiversus but Jar Jar would use the drunken style dipping diving against these jedi master. Jar Jar is the weird pick and joke character all in one
Obi- Wan Kenobi
Darth Maul
Attack of the Clones
Yoda
Jango Fett echo is Boba fett
Mace Windo
Anakin Skywalker
Count Dooku
Revenge of The Sith
General Grievous
Plo Koon
Kit Fisto
Any named Clone plus any named clone as alternate costumes
The original trilogy
Luke Skywalker
Han Solo
Chewbacca
The Emperor
Darth Vader
The Force awaken
Kylo Ren
Rey
I don’t have the attention span to watch movies but I know these two are popular or at Kylo is so I threw Rey in as a bonus
Now something that Thorgi does for his rosters is dlc, so here are some themed dlc from Star Wars Media I’ve seen and able to get a hold of
The Force unleash dlc
Star Killer
General Koda
Kazdan Paratus- A boss from the first force unleashed game and honestly the most unique jedi boss
Proxy- Yes Star Killer robot ally he could work like Shang Tsung copying certain characters moves
Jedi Leia
The Clone Wars dlc
Ahoska Tano
Asajj Ventress
Savage Opress
Cad Bane
Pong Krell
Star Vision DLC
Ronin- A samurai jedi need I say more
Kouru
Am- basically a female grievous
Lop
Lola- Would fight similarly to Kimberly but with a lightsaber
Finally we have the grab bag dlc basically what piranha plant was in ultimate but there are three here because I could think of anyone else
Sabine Wren- Star Wars Rebels
Zeb Orrelios- Star Wars Rebel
Cal Kestis

Well, @warrioreowynofrohan, you're welcome. And there are a LOT more sites out there that use that kind of in-browser emulation! If there's a game you're looking for, odds are that SOMEONE out there has it on a site with Dosbox or similar.
(Unless it's the Killer Kombat Pong trilogy.)
(I mourns it.)

The Top 5 Reasons We Love Retro Gaming
1. Games Were Simpler Back In The Day
Computer games have undeniably gotten progressively aggressive and amazing as of late. At the point when you take a gander at any semblance of The Last Of Us, it's difficult to exaggerate exactly how far computer games have come since individuals were playing Pong forty-odd years prior. Be that as it may, for every one of the advancements inside the medium, and for all the brand new thoughts and progressively expand control conspires, there's undeniable value in the amount all the more straight forward things were in the games we played as children.
Gaming today can be hard for individuals without the muscle memory that originates from long periods of committed gaming. Give your mum or father a PS4 controller and in the event that they're in any way similar to mine, they'll invest a large portion of the energy playing the game looking down, endeavoring futile to recollect where every one of the catches is. Utilize the left simple stick to walk, hold X to run, or tap X to run. L2 is point and R2 is shoot, yet R1 becomes shoot in case you're driving on the grounds that in a vehicle R2 is the quickening agent. R3 (that is the point at which you click in the correct simple stick) allows you to look behind you, and to open the menu you have to hold down the touch cushion. Furthermore, that is simply part of the control conspire for Grand Theft Auto 5, extraordinary compared to other selling games, time.
In any event, for prepared veterans, the expanding multifaceted nature of games can turn into a mood killer. Super Mario World is still as instinctive as it returns in 1990 on the grounds that the innately basic structure and get and play nature of the game made it ageless. You can give a child who's never played a Mario game the controller and inside seconds they'll have turned out how to play. This effortlessness is an alluring idea, which is a very likely a piece of the explanation that retro games like Shovel Knight and Axiom Verge are so mainstream today. The more straightforward a game is to play, the more comprehensive and quick the good times. Retro gaming possesses a great deal of that, and that is the explanation despite everything I'm playing Super Mario World twenty-six years after discharge.
2. Retro Games Have Better Music
As gaming generation esteems have expanded throughout the years, we've seen the medium change from numerous points of view. We made the bounce to 3D, we presently have voice acting, and expand cut-scenes recount to muddled stories that adversary those found in TV or on the big screen. Games today include completely organized scores or soundtracks highlighting mainstream music that are just as great as what we'd see in different mediums, yet it feels like we've lost something en route, as well.
I can in any case murmur the signature music to Treasure Island Dizzy on the Commodore 64. I was playing that game about thirty years prior and I haven't played it from that point forward (I've still never beaten it, damn it) however I can even now recollect the signature music that plays out of sight completely. I messed around a week ago and I couldn't let you know whether they had music by any means.
As a result of the straightforwardness of early games, and without voice acting to recount to a story, the music must be great. Other than a couple of terrible audio effects, the music of the game was the main aural incitement that the games gave. There are as yet incredible game soundtracks today, yet they appear to be rare when contrasted with the rounds of my childhood. Uber Man, Castlevania, the early Final Fantasy games, and notorious titles like Zelda, Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog - these all included exceptionally essential tunes that stick with us long after the last time we played them. Regardless I recollect how the music for Commodore 64 exemplary Prince Clumsy changes when you spare the princess toward the finish of the game like I was playing it yesterday. We can't generally say that regarding Shadow of Mordor, can we?
3. Games Used to Work Right Out of the Box
One thing that games from days of old irrefutably showed improvement over the rounds of today is that they, well, worked. You'd imagine that it ought to be an entirely principal part of any item discharged to the market, yet it's genuinely amazing what number of games in 2016 ship broken, requiring either days or long stretches of server changes to get the multiplayer working, or gigantic the very first moment patches to fix the entirety of the bugs that made it onto the circle. Today, on the off chance that you don't have an OK Internet association in your home, a few games are really unplayable, and numerous others seriously hampered.
Road Fighter V discharged recently, with Capcom promising that the single-player Arcade Mode, a staple of the arrangement, would be accessible to download in July. Consider the possibility that you don't have an Internet association. All things considered, at that point, you have a large portion of a game. That is not an issue we confronted when Street Fighter II discharged on the SNES in 1991. In those days, we had no Internet going about as a wellbeing net for engineers. Games needed to work directly out of the crate.
Returning and playing Global Gladiators today is as straightforward as popping the cartridge into your Genesis and turning on the power. It works now as it did at that point; precisely as it should, and with no object. This is a numerous extraordinary aspect concerning retro gaming; in the event that you have the game and the equipment, you're practically great to go. You don't have to download drivers, or updates, or fixes. You put in the game, and afterward you play. Much the same as you should.
4. Games Used to Be More of a Challenge
Today, anyone who stays up with the latest with the most recent patterns in gaming will probably know about Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and the notoriety these games have for rebuffing trouble. Gamers rushed to the Souls arrangement in large numbers, eager to play a title that tested them and would not hold their hands. There are no all-inclusive instructional exercise segments. There's little in the method for help. You can't delay it. What's more, every foe can make mincemeat out of you except if you gain proficiency with their assault examples and act in like manner. It's energizing for a game to furnish us with a daunting task this way, however, at that point, I'm mature enough to recall when each game was this way. What's more, more terrible.
Present-day games tend to illuminate things to the player, regularly to a practically offending degree. Popping a plate into a PS4 in 2016 methods hanging tight for the introduce, at that point the very first-moment fix, and afterward when you at long last get a controller in your grasp you go through the following two hours being strolled through the beginning periods of the game like a child on his first day of school. Everyone prefers a touch of help from time to time, yet there's undeniable value in simply being tossed in at the profound end and being advised to do or die.
5. Sentimentality
Sentimentality may appear to be a cop-out the answer; all things considered, thinking back on the past with rose-tinted displays is frequently what enthusiasts of anything retro is scrutinized with. It's anything but difficult to reject sentimentality as a method for advocating the conclusion that everything was simply much better in your day, yet truly wistfulness is a colossally amazing specialist and it shouldn't be overlooked.
Today, we watch refuse motion pictures and weep over the utilization of evident CGI, however, we'll joyfully endure Raiders of the Lost Ark and not try referencing that the liquefying Nazi toward the end resembles he's made out of plasticine. We tune in to the shocking popular music of our young people with an intelligent grin on our countenances while looking down on Justin Bieber's most recent video. What's more, we'll talk about Final Fantasy VII just as it was second happening to Christ, totally overlooking the entirety of the blemishes in the game that we'd hang an advanced game out to dry for. Sentimentality is a sufficient impact to cause us to accept that Sonic the Hedgehog was very great. Presently, that is not kidding.
The explanation a great deal of us like playing old games is essentially a result of the inclination we get playing them. I've played hundreds, if not a large number of games in my time as a gamer. What's more, I'm sufficiently keen to realize that in that time computer games have improved in pretty much every manner. In any case, that doesn't change the way that on the off chance that I load up Street Fighter II I recollect the times of playing it during the school summer occasions with every one of my companions. I recollect the day I finished Toejam and Earl with my sibling each time I hear the initial barely any bars of its ludicrously astounding signature music. Furthermore, I recall the overjoyed rushes we got when we initially got the fatalities chipping away at Mortal Kombat II.
Playing old games, similarly likewise with watching old films or tuning in to old collections, transports us to a period in the past that we like to recall. Regardless of whether its recollections of old companions, friends, and family, individuals we may see each day or might have put some distance between, each old game we load up is a window to the past and that is unique. The most recent Call of Duty is never going to rival that.

Top Ten Most Enjoyable Video Games in 2018!
If you are anything like me, video games with friends is much more enjoyable than by yourself. I constantly get bored of playing single-player games and especially bored of playing multiplayer games by myself (solo-queuing). So, I decided to make a list of the most fun games to play with friends! Of course, this is all my own personal opinion and if you have a change to this list, feel free to let me know! Also, I have limited each to one of the genres, just so it does not feel repetitive! Now, on to the list! This list will also have Amazon affiliate links, if you do indeed plan on buying the game.
 10.  World of Warcraft:
One of the greatest MMORPG’s of all time is still one of the most popular games to play to-date. As I am looking at the Twitch.tv list of most popular games right now, it stands at number six. This could be due to Sodapoppin playing it or many other popular streamers, but it definitely deserves a place on this list for being a game people play with friends. This is a game where many people can group up and start raids, bringing many hours of enjoyment! (Especially when we have the beautiful meme of Leeerrroyyy Jenkins!)
9. Jackbox Party Pack:
I was surprised that many people have not heard of this game series (the last game being Jackbox Party Pack 4). This game is very unique: so, each person who’s playing has their phone be their “controller” and you go through different types of games such as Fibbage where you try to lie and make other people vote for your saying or Guesspionage, where you have to try to guess a percentage of people (such as how many people read top ten articles from a lame person) and then the other people try to guess if the correct answer is higher or lower. It is a group of games that everyone enjoys playing, even non-gamers. I have played this hundreds of times with friends and family; this is a great game to put on this list.
You can buy these games through Steam!
8. Tabletop Simulator:
Similar to the #9, we have Tabletop Simulator. This is a game where you can download and play any of your favorite board games. Coming from someone who plays board games a great deal with a lot of friends, you can see the enjoyment factor of a simulator you can use to play online. I have played games such as Cosmic Encounters to Magic: the Gathering to Risk, all in one game that was ten dollars when I bought it.
You can buy this game here! https://amzn.to/2ClmzKx
7. Super Smash Bros. Series:
Many fighting games have always been popular, from Mortal Kombat to Street Fighter. With the much anticipated Super Smash Bros. Ultimate coming out by December, I can guarantee this will be one of the most played fighting games of the year. Even though it is not out yet, this game series is still extremely popular, being used in tournaments (Super Smash Bros. Melee) as well as many friends dueling it out with each other in giant free-for-all’s. Many fighting games are the same, but I have not seen any pull off the giant fight-to-the-death that Super Smash Bros. has done with multiple people.
6. Mario Kart 8:
Racing games are similar to fighting games in the sense that they have always been around. Mario Kart has been around since 1992, but the recent release in 2017 has become an extremely popular game. Not only is this game a childhood gem for many people in the 90’s, but almost every one of my friends love playing this game with a group of people. I remember back during the Nintendo 64, everyone would come over and we would all take turns racing it out with four controllers. Definitely an amazing time, and it is still being replicated to this day!
You can see this game here! https://amzn.to/2CNewXW
5. Dead by Daylight:
What is an October list without a horror game? Not a good one, I’ll give you that! Dead by Daylight is an excellent game of ‘spoopy’ hide-and-seek where four survivors must fix generators and escape before dying to the mysterious killer, such as Michael Myers or ‘The Doctor’. Playing with three other friends, this game is a complete blast. Everyone is dying of laughter as we keep trying to juke the killer and save our friends. Think of it like this, horror games are scary, especially alone, but imagine how fun it would be to play with three of your close friends? The eerie feeling goes away and it becomes a game full of fun and laughter, something that Dead by Daylight brings a lot of to the many that play it.
4. Rocket League:
This is one of my personal favorite games, not only because it is soccer with cars (how can you say no to soccer with CARS!), but because of the fun matches that you can have with your friends. Many of the hours that I have put into this game come from the custom games that I can play with my friends. Having a giant 4v4 battle (or 3v3) of soccer where you battle it out to see who can score more goals, or playing “dropshot”, a game mode of where you do not want the ball to bounce on your side, to “ping pong” where you can only touch the ball on your half of the court. Any way that you play this game, it all leads to so much fun with friends. There is also a very competitive side to the game too, which makes playing with your competitive friends fun as well, especially if you want to get good at the game!
3. Rainbow Six: Siege
First person shooters have been very popular over time, especially series such as Counter Strike and Call of Duty. Both of those two series are very fun with friends, but nothing beats the new Rainbow Six: Siege. This game brings the strategy of Counter Strike and mixes in multidimensional floors and give each player an ability, through the form of tactical operators (as they are called). When I play this game with friends, it brings out a competitive side of us, trying to win and get better at the game. This is a great game if you are trying to win and also have a good time with your friends. Counter Strike is also an alternative if you are looking for a less strategic alternative.
You can buy this game here! https://amzn.to/2pW8DyQ
2. League of Legends:
Any MOBA (Dota 2, Heroes of the Storm, etc.) could have fit in this category, but I think that League of Legends is definitely the most refined and popular. I have sunk many hours into this game, and each time I play, the game feels amazing to play with friends. This game is a 5v5 arena, where each player tries to defeat the other team while also working together to clear objectives. It is a very communicative experience, where each other teammate needs to go through the difficulty of the game, together, or lose as one. Many of my friends play this game (on top of many people playing the game in general, being one of the most played games of all time) and I absolutely love playing this game with teams of five, where we can go into the game knowing all of our strengths and weaknesses and working on improving our game sense as well as our overall teamwork. I highly recommend this game to people who are looking for a challenge!
This game is free! Who doesn’t like free??
1. Fortnite
It would not be a top ten list of games to play with friends without a battle royale game being the number one spot! Fortnite is by far the most popular game of this year as well as the most enjoyable to play with friends. Almost everyone I know has heard of this game either through the news or from gamers. If a game can literally bring Drake, Travis Scott, and Ninja (a very popular streamer and one of the best Fortnite players in the world) together to play Fortnite, you know that this is a great game to play with your friends. Many of the other battle royales could definitely fit this spot, such as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Realm Royale. With the release of the new game mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 being a battle royale, the genre is going to become even more popular to play with your friends.
This game is also free! Coincidence? I think not!
Well, this has been my Top Ten list of most enjoyable games to play with your friends in 2018. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope some of these games reached out to you and make you want to go try them!
If you enjoyed this review, please feel free to follow me on Tumblr and you can message me here! Same goes if you want to work with me on something or have business inquiries.

frat boy shiro hc’s
shiro lived a double life. by day, studious and responsible student. by night, the biggest party bro you can ever meet.
he is definitely the older bro figure amongst his party peers. if someone drinks a little too much or way too fucking sloshed, he’s the one making sure no one draws on them, gives them a blanket, some water, aspirin for the morning, and charges their phone.
does not approve of any harassment ever. whoever gets in on this shit is booted from the party.
will walk girls home if they’re drunk or too scared to go back wherever they need to go at night. he’s a good guy and tells them to call him if they need anything.
is shit at beer pong, but will happily be your partner and drink your beer for you.
if his song comes on, you’ll hear a very distinctive drunkenly yelled “WOOOOOH!!!”
this is amplified x1000 if its a britney spears song
likes to have fun and make out with whoever’s down to make out at a party. guys, girls, whoever! he likes kissing, he’s good at kissing— no harm, no foul
at some point in the night will end up shirtless. no one knows where his shirt’s gone. not even shiro. he’ll end up with a pillow case made for a shirt sometime during the night
is magically good at mortal kombat when hes drunk. any other time he is unable to play that game besides jumping around. it’s terrible.
accidentally ate a whole pot brownie and managed to stay awake for 3 hours before inevitably passing out for 36 hours. a champion in his own right.
miraculously is one of the only dudes who doesnt get killer hangovers after a night of wild drinking
the only indication that he may have had too much to drink are the dark circles under his eyes, but that happens pretty much all the time bc he’s a hard-working, studious boy
when he does get the occasional hangover, he has his own special concoction he cooks up in the morning to steady him over
considering shiro’s shit in the kitchen, it’s a mess of things he finds left over in fridge
the goal is to get himself to throw up and continue with his day
definitely has streaked while drunk and sober, think about that

History of Arcade Games
What is an Arcade Game:
An arcade game is a coin operated machine used for entertainment and are usually placed in public business establishments such as restaurants, bars and amusement arcades. There is a wide variety of different arcade game types, such as video games (Probably the one most people think of when they think of arcade games), electro-magnetic machines, pinball machines, merchandisers and redemption machines.
History of Arcade Games:
“Arcade Games” have been around in since the 1920′s in the form of amusement-park games like ball tosses, shooting galleries and even early coin operated machines like those that would tell a person’s fortune. Later on in the 1930′s the first coin operated pinball machines were introduced. All of these early machines were made of wood, unlike their later electronic counterparts. These games continued like this until the 1960′s, when electro-mechanical game’s were introduced to the market.
In 1966 Sega released an electro-mechanical game called Periscope, an early submarine simulator and light gun shooter which used lights and plastic waves to simulate sinking ships. It became the first arcade game to cost a quarter (Can’t find UK prices) which became the standard price for arcade games and the game was a surprise hit in the United States, Europe and Japan. From this point elecro-magnetic games became increasingly popular with multiple companies releasing a variety of different games, like Sega’s “Duck Hunt” and “Grand Prix”, as well as things like Taito’s “Crown Soccer Special.”
In 1971, Students from Standford University set up the Galaxy Game which was a coin operated version of the video game “Spacewar”, this is perhaps the earliest example of an Arcade video game. A year later Atari was formed and almost singlehandedly created the coin-operated video game industry with “Pong” which was the first successful ping pong video game.
The release of Taito’s “Space Invaders” marked the beginning of the Golden Age of Arcade Video Games with it being the BlockBuster arcade video game. During this golden age, other amazingly popular games such as “Pac-Man”, “BattleZone” and “Defender” were released and it was at this time that the Arcade industry reached 8 Billion USD.
During the early 1990s, Arcade games had a resurgence with the release of “Capcom’s Street Fighter 2″. This gave the arcade a surge of popularity not seen since Pac-Man and inspired a new wave of video games, mostly within the competitive fighter genre such as Mortal Kombat, Killer instinct and Pit-Fighter. It was also around this time that Sega popularised 3D polygonal graphics within the Arcade industry.
During the late 1990′s the Arcade experienced a rapid decline, most likely due to a lack of diversity compared to other video game industries and everything you could play and do on an arcade machine was already on home consoles and PCs.
Examples of Arcade Games:

Street Fighter ha rivoluzionato il mondo dei picchiaduro
New Post has been published on http://www.yessgame.it/curiosita/street-fighter-rivoluzionato-mondo-dei-picchiaduro/
TRE IS FOR BOYS, SEI IS FOR MEN
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Questi aggiornamenti portavano Capcom a ricevere molti piÚ introiti.

Evolution of arcade games
Arcade games started from a humble title, Pong, and then went on to develop into a rage. The games primarily advanced round a simplistic design and raw game play.
The newer arcade games made using immense leaps in the graphic technology. The arcade games were designed to be played with a group of associates in pubs, malls and restaurants.
Lately arcade games are greater than remoted gaming sessions. Arcade games have numerous communities and clans dedicated to retaining the tradition. For more information about role playing game charleston sc read here.
The arcade games later appeared on house consoles. They started out as redemption games, pinball machines and video games.
The recognition suffered because the arcades were labeled as seedy, unsafe places. They saw resurgence with the advent of the “two gamers combating each other” games such as Mortal Kombat, Road Fighter and Killer Instinct.
But, then, again the sport consoles and PC?s with 3d accelerator playing cards efficiently dwarfed the advantage arcade games enjoyed. The success of arcade games over the previous technology of house computer was the means to customize and use the most recent graphics and sound cards.
The steep decline ensured that they may not fund their technologies.
By late ninety?s the internet made matters worse for the arcades. The human to human competitors was taken to a newer level.
Since then, the arcade games have been ported to different consoles and emulated on PC?s. In the present day the net arcade games have a huge fan following with thousands of tournaments being held on-line every year.
The web arcade games are evolving at a quick pace and the arcade world visualizes an altogether totally different future for the industry.

Regarding your search for that AOL Qbasic game. I'd recommend reaching out to Zack Johnson of Assymetric Games (the Kingdom of Loathing guys). I recall him talking about that kinda stuff on his podcast years ago.
Thank you, I will.
