Sentient Mystery Shack, who is really biased towards Stan, so when Ford tells Stan he has to give it back after the summer it’s on sight.
Ford keeps tripping over nothing, nothing is where it's supposed to be and somehow he keeps running into closets when he tries to go outside.
But the worst part, the WORST part is that Ford's lightbulb just won't. Work. No matter what he does it keeps flickering and exploding.
Ford is spiraling.
There is no reason why it shoudln’t work. All his trial runs work perfectly. He’s already checked the Shacks wiring three times and relearned this dimensions science from the ground up.
Nothing works.
The Rift? Bill? The impending apocalypse? Eating? Sleep? Who cares about that.
WHY. WONT. THE. LIGHTBULB. WORK???
It doesn’t help that Stan keeps laughing at him.
“Then you do it!” Ford eventually snaps at Stan.
Stan shrugs and with a little song under his breath screws his own lightbulb in. It works perfectly.
Stanford screams.

there are days in the dorms where shouta will come back after patrol bloodied and beaten without that little extra energy to take him to his and hizashi's room, so he crashes onto the sofa as soon as he walks through the doors because this smell, these sounds, they are safe.
morning will come with quiet conversations and muted tv. he gets such a bad adrenaline crash that hizashi has managed to bandage him and the kids have managed to wipe the blood and debris from his face and hair without him waking. when he wakes up he'll shower and go back to the dorms, he sees the look on the kids faces; no child should have to see the person they view as an unmovable pillar so bloodied and broken.

Zeff: Eggplant, you see this catalog?
Sanji: Yeah?
Zeff: One thing, whatever it is, if you want it I’ll get it. We’ve had a pretty good year and you haven’t been that much of a menace, I think you deserve a nice gift out of it.
Sanji: Anything? Out of this whole catalog?
Zeff: Yep.
Sanji: But… what do I pick?
Zeff: Well that’s the keyword, squirt. Anything. You want that robot? Sure. The monsters play set? That’s fine. Anything means anything.
Sanji: They’re all toys?
Zeff: Of course they’re all toys. What else would it be?
Sanji: So I choose a toy and you buy it for me?
Zeff: Yep.
Sanji: What do I do with it afterwards?
Zeff: You….. You play with it, of course. Haven’t you ever played with a toy before, eggplant?
Sanji shakes his head: Not these kind I mean. These are colorful and look fun and harmless. Can you teach me how to play with it? You sound like you know a whole lot about toys.
Zeff: You don’t…..?
Zeff: …Ah. Yeah. Yeah, sure, eggplant. I’ll teach’cha.
Zeff to himself: I already figured you had it rough as a kid, eggplant, but what child doesn’t know how to play with toys….

re tenth ed Smash and the Ravnica flavour text, it was a direct reprint of the Ravnica: City of Guilds art/flavour text and 10th ed was in the era of core sets being reprint only and MAYBE having new art or flavour text but no narrative or cohesive flavour (except for 7th ed where I think for art contract reasons every card got new art and they tried to have some semblance of story through it)
[guy who just awoke from a 5-year coma voice] "ohh okay, that makes sense. so what do they do for core sets these days?"

I've been working in childcare for two weeks now and my favorite Child Moment so far occurred yesterday, when my coworker asked one of our regular three year olds, "if you could be any animal, what would you be?" a fairly standard pretend question but this child absolutely REFUSED to engage on the grounds that it was not within the realm of possibility Natalie said, "I know, but if you could-" and the kid was like "I'M A HUMAN BEING" with like full toddler lisp this kid said you want me to PRETEND? absolutely not and I'm offended you have the gall to ask the most world weary and down to earth child on the planet he said I am a HUMAN the END and honestly respect it's good to know you're a normie from the cradle but also points that child has autism Or Something

Note
do u think courtney grew up wealthy?
Probably upper middle class if not absolutely wealthy. She’s not Kardashian rich but she’s definitely got money. She’s a very young educated girl with access to lawyers and all of her hobbies scream ‘my parents sent me to private school’ so I can definitely see her being one of the contestants on the show with parents who are definitely more than comfortable.

I keep thinking about a passage I read as a child in James Dobson's "Bringing up Boys" where he argues for only giving children toys stereotypical for their gender by citing a study in which girls and boys were given both trucks and a dollhouse to play with. Apparently the girls had tea parties with the trucks and the boys turned the dollhouse components into catapults. But I have found myself lately thinking- so what? Why do children have to play with toys the way adults would? What's wrong with giving girls toy trucks to play truck tea party? If the boys aren't being destructive, why not let them play besieged dollhouse? One of my favorite things about children is the unique perspective and creativity they hold: why stifle that? Why would gendered play require limiting their access to toys?
