For a fic my bff wants to write or as she said "these three just built different. Not a single thing about them is normal. EVER!" So she wants to write a story about where they're Orochimaru embryonic lab experiments sanctioned by Konoha and their parents didn't know or basically how they became tools for Konoha before they were even born. Or something like that.

Trying to judge Kakashi for his teaching fuck-ups is hard because everything keeps getting skewed by everything that is wrong with this man and also everything around him. He ends up being graded on the triple wonky curves of: 1) "You know, I'm not sure that you specifically could have done much better." (Child soldier as a preschooler, isolated genius prodigy fast-tracked out of childhood, violently orphaned twice, war veteran, late teenage years and nearly half his life spent in black ops, he's only like 26 years old, etc...)

2) "I'm not sure that the average Konoha ninja could have really done much better in Kakashi's shoes." (Inconsistent prior Academy training for students, little to no apparent teacher training or solid child development resources for genin team teachers, inconsistent oversight from neglectful superiors, promotion exams where it's apparently normal-ish for participants to be either killed or permanently injured, etc...)

3) "I don't think anyone could have handled this situation well, honestly. It was fucked up before Kakashi showed up." (Sasuke.) (Also Naruto if his personality had been slightly different, after 12 years of neglect and shunning. What the fuck.)

Alternate universe idea where everyone is alive and well and Naruto gets to grow up as a happy child. He has red Uzumaki hair becuase he takes more after his mom here.

Let’s just ignore the little side fact that Obito, Kakashi and Rin should actually look a bit older in here. XD

When ever I watch naruto I'm reminded that it's kinda canon that if minato didn't die alot of bad shit wouldn't have happened like the Uchiha wouldn't have been slaughtered Naruto would have had a better time growing up and it's funny bc minato chose to die he was like yeah I'm sure my new born sons got this my wife's about to die and I'd rather peace out with her good luck to the rest of you tho anyway what a man top 5 naruto characters for me

Kakashi and Rin were flower girls at Minato and Kushina's wedding, pass it on.

They got married right after the war ended and when they asked the kids to be in the wedding, Rin just about cried from excitment and Kakashi did this little huffy red faced "well if you want me to, I GUESS I could." thing that said he was trying very hard not to explode

Mikoto was best woman and Fugaku was almost best man but had to back out because he and Mikoto kept getting into very passive aggressive arguments ab it all and Kushina got sick of their shit.

Jiriyah officiated the wedding during the single week he was back in town then left immediatley after giving Minato a pat on the back and some bullshit "good luck, marriage is the ultimate joy and the ultimate burden" speech that Minato kind of awkwardly laughed through
