oh god monarch odile scares me because like. the end of kingquest??? with ODILE??? who's gonna figure it out SO MUCH FASTER and SO MUCH MORE OFTEN than the king???

Okay evil faces aside: I want to clarify that one of the first thing’s I established about Monarch!Odile was that she wasn’t gonna kill someone at the end of Kingquest. (Or I guess it would be “Empressquest” in the context of this AU.)

It’s also important to note that: Traveler!Bonnie is the fourth party member and therefore involved in combat. Despite that however Monarch!Odile doesn’t kill them at the end of the loops, she only kills the other three party members. Because Bonnie is still a kid in this AU. (They’re just slightly older than they are in canon, but I could be totally wrong about that, I would ask the Bonnie author if you wanna be sure.)

What I’m trying to say is: Empress Odile does have some semblance of a moral code. She doesn’t want to hurt children. She never hurts Kid!Mirabelle either. She honestly doesn’t go out of her way to kill people in general, it’s only when they get in her way that she chooses violence.

As a result I have written an alternate version of the end of Empressquest that I will post under the cut :3

Odile would never want to willingly traumatize Bonnie

But she could very well do it accidently with something she did with good intentions.

In fact once she figures out the timeloop, she stops the battle herself.

She kneels down in front of Bonnie and explains that she has pieced together their situation, and that helping them be free of their time prison is much more important than any battle.

She will even tell Bonnie she has a solution to their issue.

If she can take over their brain then she can alleviate their suffering, and she can help them break free from the wish craft that binds them.

Then she attempts to use mindcraft on not just Bonnie on all of them.

Because in Odile’s eyes if she can control Bonnie then she can make them give up on their wish. As for the others? She might as well control them as well since she’s already trying to sink her claws into Bonnie.

Too bad Housemadien!Loop’s immune. She’ll still have to kill them in the end. :)

The specifics of this scene hasn’t been written out, as I don’t write the other characters lol so it’s have to be a group effort for sure.

But that is the general gist of it anyway. :3

Hands down it's Babybelle. Kid!Mira is the best thing that random chance has ever gifted the world. I knew when I spun that spinner and it landed on Kid!Mira that I would be the happiest man in existence because that fucking thing exists. She is baby. She is Belle. What's the problem.

what if mira's parents were like... "oh our precious darling baby, please never grow up!" sort of parents.... not cruel, but stifling. deciding what she'll do, and then doing it for her. not letting her learn and try and fail and grow into her own, independent self.

of course she would love the religion of change! of course she would believe so passionately in the importance of discovering and reinventing yourself. of course she would have been missing basic life skills when she first came to the house, and enamored with whoever patiently taught them to her. of course she would take every class available, try everything she was denied.

and of course it would feel awful, when she kept failing. she started out at a deficit and has felt two steps behind ever since. and every time she tries a new skill and makes a mistake, she hears her parents say, just let us do it for you. and every time she compares her same-old self to the unique and talented people around her, she wonders if maybe her parents were right about her. maybe she wasn't meant to have her own interests, to make her own choices. maybe she can't learn. maybe she can't grow. maybe she'll be a useless child forever.

it's hard to decide how she feels about her parents. they never hurt her, so why does she feel so hurt when she thinks about them? they loved her, so why doesn't she love them?

and it's hard to admit the faults of the change belief. it saved her from stagnation! and yet, here she is. smothered again. expected not to stay the same, but to become someone else.

why can't she just be who she is?

how does loop feel seeing young belle?

HM!Loop is going crazy when they see Mirabelle. They, so far, have only seen their former party members in radically different roles (aside from Traveler!Bonnie but they're only slightly different in actual physicality, and a lot of it is because of the role Loop sees them filling, their old spot as the traveler)

Once they see Mirabelle, but fucking tiny they go nuts. They attempt to get a good grade in friendship while trying not to seethe with rage at The Universe and the Change God and the Expressions and whatever other divinity is cursing them to live among these two bit knockoffs wearing the faces of their old friends that they watched stagnate and die and love them and be worried for them over and over and over and over-

safe to say they have plenty thoughts on the matter

These guys don't have their chef cooker yet so they don't have cool snacks at the ready.

Sif in this AU isn't particularly picky when it comes to food and they'd often hunt for their food and eat it raw.....but you're not suppose to eat food raw, how curious~

Odile tries to keep a closer eye on Sif after this "silly" Lil incident. Nobody could eat garbage as rancid as that and actually enjoy it!?!?!?
