Really?

He heaved a deep sigh at her, why did she have to try and gain his attention when he was busy. It was like she enjoyed messing with him when he was trying to personally take care of matters or trying to get stuff done, even more so when it was actual paperwork. She probably actually did like doing just that, ruining his concentration on important matters.

That mischievous woman just loved to mess with his head it seemed.

But he didn’t want to hear another damn lecture from Qiu…at the same time though a break didn’t seem like a bad idea. He had been working to catch up on all the paperwork he missed from when he had gone to see about the farther reaching limbs of his family and he had been at it for at least a good few hours. The kettle needed to be warmed too…so…he could goof off, obviously for just a small break- it wouldn’t be too long.

And Lady Amaterasu was a guest.

Placing the scroll back up, he turned to her and quietly analyzed the situation before quickly scooping her up with one arm. Which was practically nothing in the grand scheme of things, she weighed so little and he was rather strong regardless. It was like picking up a single feather.

“Is the young lady happy now? Should be ashamed…” He teased, giving her a quick peck before taking her to a slightly more secluded and warmer spot to begin his small break.

To say he was slightly surprised when she took his hand from its previously firmed position behind his back would be accurate. Neither were very much into this kind of public display -even when not in public as they were currently- so it had caught him off guard momentarily.

That wasn’t to say he was against it, but it had made him pause his walking to stop and look at her questionably behind the goggles.

What exactly is her motive here?, he wondered to himself for a brief moment.

Soon enough though he was back to walking alongside his much shorter partner. There was a good foot or so in difference which was much amusement to him. His larger hand giving a quick and seamless squeeze, he didn’t want her thinking too into this- after all hadn’t she wanted nothing much from him beyond his physique? Therefore he would only give her the bare minimum when it came to this rare display. When they were behind screen doors though?

Well that was another subject.

This was a nice moment regardless and he’d enjoy this small display for as long as she allowed herself to continue it.
