I know he’s not on your guaranteed player list, but hear me out: she’s a club staff or physio. she gets hot and bothered while watching Kevin De Bruyne during pool recovery & Kevin notices👀 (unprofessional, yes, but he’s delicious so it’s okay lolz) smut or not is your choice! you always know best. the picture of him in the pool after FC Copenhagen has been engrained in my brain since it was first posted.
If you’re not interested in this, I totally get it bby🫶🏼 So glad you’re back🩷
I have written, deleted, written again, deleted again and re-written this around 6 times. only now am I happy with this.
I could not have finished this without the help of @holdmybvbeer and @percervall for helping me get the mood right and how to progress from where I'd managed to get myself stuck, so THANK YOU!
hehehehehe enjoy.

You'd known there would be trails and tribulations when it came to choosing sports physiotherapy as a career, but you'd expected men who would be difficult to work with, difficult to advise and personalities which you simply did not get along with. And there were many men whose name made you groan with frustration upon seeing them on your daily dairy. And today was a groan day when you saw Kevin's name scrawled in your handwriting across the page. This, you knew, was not part of the job and you'd struggle to keep your face in check during today's session.
Sessions with Kevin were...interesting. He could never be accused of being rude or unprofessional in the slightest. He was quiet, a little harder to peel back the layers to get to know but in a way, it made things worse. You'd found certain athletes who were up front and open with their communication, put themselves out there in a way you could adjust to but Kevin was a little harder. His quiet yet playful nature and quick wit was refreshing to experience but he'd hold himself back and you often found yourself wondering why this was while eagerly waiting for more.
You've spent most of your session today crouched beside the pool, wincing as you adjusted your weight and curled your toes within your shoes, keeping your eyes on the water at all times. His free style was longer than you anticipated, making a mental note to ask him once finished to not take them so quickly. Then again, he'd struggled to keep his pace with the breaststroke so you can't blame him for wanting to push a little bit with this. It was his groin that was the cause of his injury, not his torso and arms, so you felt you could go a little easier on him with the reprimands.
And now you're within the safety of your office, you allow yourself a moment or two to breathe and admit that today got the better of you. Maybe it was the lighting as the sun had shone through the large windows that had made him look a certain way; had made his skin glow healthily, made his eyes brighter and just made him look good. Maybe it was the fact that you hadn't been laid in quite some time. Maybe it was the way he'd grunted in such a way as he'd pushed back off that by the time your head had snapped up to look at him, he was looking right at you - almost to judge your reaction. Maybe, just maybe, all three things combined had just created something within you that you hadn't anticipated.
All you knew was that sitting at your desk now as you drank deeply from your drink, your thighs clamp together and lust and desire courses through your veins. Of all your clients to make you feel like this, Kevin had been the least of your worries and yet here you are, having deeply inappropriate, unprofessional thoughts about him.
When there's a knock at the door, you scramble to load your computer up and pull your physical diary towards you as you pretend to be working while calling for the visitor to come in. You can smell the faint scent of chlorine and his aftershave before you turn your head and it has you closing your eyes and taking a deep breath to steady your emotions before you look at him. He closes the door with a soft click but he doesn't move from where he stands, though his gaze is fixed firmly on where you sit.
"Is everything ok?" you ask him, forcing yourself to put on a bright smile.
"I think so," he laughs nervously but the smile he tries to give seems almost as forced as the one you're doing. When neither of you try to say anything else, you clear your throat and instinctively drill your fingers over your keyboard as if to say well, I'll be getting back to work then but it's at this time that Kevin begins to speak. "It's just, I saw how you were earlier and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it."
Your fingers freeze, hovering over the keyboard as you try to work out what your telltale signs were and what they told him. "Why, how did I appear Kevin?"
"Distracted. Deep in thought." He pauses as he considers something.
"No, I was fully focused on you and your rehabilitation." You reply, but your tone doesn't sound as confident as you'd hoped.
He pushes away from the door, but not before you hear the sound of the lock being activated and he begins to step towards you. "Fully focused?" he presses you verbally but mentally you're still seconds behind where he was locking the door and your heart is pounding against your rib cage at the thought of no-one being able to walk in on you both right now. Your mind is flooding with thoughts that does nothing to help dry between your thighs; in fact, it only worsens the situation. "Yes."
"Really?"
"Yes." Each time you say it, your voice grows weaker, quieter and you know he has you. "Why do you ask?"
"Because you have the same look on your face now," he tells you as he stands on the other side of the desk.
"And how do I look?" you find yourself asking in a voice barely more than a whisper.
"Like you want me to kiss you. Or have you right here on this desk." Your mouth feels dry and no amount of swirling your tongue around it does a damn thing to wet it. Swallowing feels even more futile. "Am I wrong?" he asks.
Of course he's not wrong.
He knows it.
You know it.
And being honest with yourself, your desk is about to find out the truth too.

Match Review: Manchester United 2-1 Manchester City
We’re the famous Man United and we’re going to Wembley. WEMBLEYYYY WEMBLEYYY…
Expected the worst but these little fuckers delivered the best. VIVE LA CARRINGTON. You CAN win anything with kids.
Erik Ten Hag reminded us that actually, he IS a good tactician. Not to say he hasn't made mistakes this season but he had his (unfit) first choice centre-back pairing and a CDM and fuck me, suddenly we looked like a coherent footballing unit staffed by professional players. What?!
United might have gotten lucky with the first goal, but Garnacho finished coolly. They definitely didn't get lucky with the second, and holy fuck what a combo; Rashford with the killer cross-field ball, Garnacho to Bruno with the AWB dummy burst-through/overlap, Bruno with the no-look side pass, and Mainoo with the real burst-through into the box and boop, goal. Class. A proper United goal. A genuinely elite bit of football. A glimpse at what could be to come.
United sat back a bit second half and City put pressure on, but honestly? Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland were anonymous. City didn't play badly, but they really didn't play well. Some people have argued that point - and? The whole point is to show up and perform. You can't blag that oh, it was an off day. THIS IS THE ONE DAY NOT TO BE 'OFF' you mugs.
Also, a barely fit Martinez/Varane. Dalot at LB. Dire form Rashford fresh from injury. Bruno fresh from injury, McTominay fresh from injury, Mainoo's barely 19, Garnacho's been WELL overplayed this season due to the injury crisis. Onana even had one of his moments and let in a silly Doku shot. What more do the Citeh lot want?
I'm buzzing for Bruno Fernandes after his letter to the fans in The Player's Tribune. A turbulent career that has peaked in a dream move to United and a stellar deliverance since his arrival. A big trophy like this is everything - but lets hope we can get him a league before he goes eh. Even if it's late ala Robbo.
We also made Fergie happy, and that was something I was desperate for. I was petrified we might kill the boss off by playing SO bad and ruining his legacy. Crisis averted.
There will be talk about replacements, and about whether Erik is the project or not, but I hope we stick with him. Support his authority, remind him that he needs to be less tactically stubborn when injuries happen, and back him with squad depth of the STYLE of player he wants so he can afford to be stubborn with Plan A because he has a deputy for Martinez, for Shaw, for Casemiro.
Anyway, enjoy this win reds. Two FA Cups in one season, a first trophy for the women, and a much-needed showing up from the men to guarantee us some form of European football next year.

Manchester City: 2022-23 UEFA Champions League Winners
Match in brief: City claim European glory City navigated an unbeaten path to the final, racking up a competition-best 31 goals in the process, so it was little surprise that they started on the front foot. Inter had let in only one goal in six knockout games, however, and for so long did an excellent job of marshalling their opponents' galaxy of attacking talent.
Erling Haaland – subsequently flagged offside – and Bernardo Silva did both go close in the opening stages, but it was not until the 27th minute that Kevin De Bruyne unpicked the Nerazzurri lock and Haaland got off a firm shot at goal; André Onana, as usual, was positioned well.
De Bruyne is so often City's creator-in-chief, but the man with 31 assists this season came off injured before half-time; Josep Guardiola's team would have to think again.
Their faith was tested once more before the hour, Manuel Akanji misjudging a Bernardo Silva pass to allow Lautaro Martínez to pounce. On this occasion, Ederson was alert enough to close down the angle.
Onana had no such luxury at the other end when a neat City move resulted in the ball dropping to Rodri just inside the penalty area; City's midfield pivot showed characteristic calm to side-foot into the corner. The treble was on.
Inter were far from deflated by going behind, though, and, just three minutes later, so nearly drew level, only for Federico Dimarco's looping header to strike the crossbar.
De Bruyne's replacement, Phil Foden, soon went close at the other end, but there was still time for one last nerve-jangler for Guardiola and his charges. Romelu Lukaku's close-ranger header somehow ricocheted off Ederson's knee and the engraver could finish adding City's name to the trophy for the first time.
PlayStation® Player of the Match: Rodri (Man City) "Came up with the winning goal in a game with few chances and his involvement for City between the boxes was essential to having a balanced City side." UEFA Technical Observer Panel
Matthew Howarth, Man City reporter
It was perhaps not the prettiest performance from Guardiola's star-studded ensemble, but this was never likely to be one-sided affair – Inter are far too good for that. The Serie A side were excellent in the first half but, when City were struggling to get into gear early in the second, they failed to take advantage. Rodri's goal cements his place in club history on the back of a tremendous personal campaign, while Guardiola becomes the first coach since Sir Alex Ferguson to lead an English club to the treble.
Vieri Capretta, Inter reporter
An almost perfect first half for the Nerazzurri – solid at the back and showing glimpses of what they could do going forward. In the second half Inter did what they had to do, kept the game under control, had two enormous chances, but ultimately came up short. Simone Inzaghi and his players shouldn't have regrets – with a bit of luck this could have gone their way.
Key stats City are the 23rd different team – and the sixth from England – to win the European Cup. Josep Guardiola is just the fourth coach to win the European Cup on three occasions. City are only the tenth team in history to complete a treble of league, cup and European Cup. Haaland finished as the competition's leading scorer with 12 goals. City are the 15th European Cup winners to remain unbeaten throughout their campaign (W8 D5). This was the fourth successive UEFA Champions League final to finish 1-0. Fantasy star performers To follow.
Line-ups Man City: Ederson; Akanji, Rúben Dias, Aké; Stones (Walker 82), Rodri; Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne (Foden 36), Gündoğan, Grealish; Haaland
Inter: Onana; Darmian (D'Ambrosio 84), Acerbi, Bastoni (Gosens 76); Dumfries (Bellanova 76), Barella, Brozović, Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Mkhitaryan 84), Dimarco; Martínez, Džeko (Lukaku 57)
What's next?
The 2023/24 UEFA Champions League begins with the preliminary round semi-finals on 27 June; the draw takes place on Tuesday 13 June. Both City and Inter will enter next season's competition in the group stage, the draw for which takes place on Thursday 31 August.

Premier League: Liverpool, Man City Play Out 1-1 Draw To Leave Arsenal Top Of Table
Kevin De Bruyne: Liverpool and Manchester City drew 1-1 at Anfield to leave Arsenal in charge of the Premier League title race. John Stones finished a clever corner routine by Kevin De Bruyne to give City a first half lead but Alexis Mac Allister’s penalty after the break ensured a point apiece. Sunday's draw ended Man City's run of nine away wins in a row in all competitions, and means Liverpool have lost only one of their last 21 home Premier League matches against City. The result, which summed up the unyielding rivalry between the Blues and the Reds under Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, meant the day ended with Arsenal on top of the table on 64 points after their late victory over Brentford yesterday, Liverpool a place back in second on goal difference and City third on 63 points. It points to a tight, tense finale to the 2023/24 campaign with City aiming to win the title for a record-breaking fourth consecutive time, Liverpool wanting to give their manager the ultimate send-off and Arsenal looking to exorcise the ghosts of last season and win their first Premier League in 20 years. Man City started on top and made their dominance count midway through the first half, when Stones scored from a clever Kevin De Bruyne corner. De Bruyne whipped the ball to the near post, where Stones was left unmarked after Nathan Ake had blocked Mac Allister in a smart screen move. Then Liverpool saw a goal disallowed after Nunez, who had strayed offside, squared for Luis Diaz to apply the finishing touch but, just as the balance of play had evened out, City struck through Stones, who stole in at the near post to convert De Bruyne’s corner. Szoboszlai miscued his header after he’d been found by a superb Harvey Elliott cross at the conclusion of a patient, probing sequence of passing and – after Erling Haaland had seen an effort on the counter saved by Kelleher – Diaz whipped a shot narrowly wide following a turnover. Just two minutes into the second period, Liverpool were awarded a penalty. Nunez’s pace allowed him to intercept Nathan Ake’s backpass ahead of Ederson and the City goalkeeper duly clattered into the No.9. A lengthy delay ensued as Ederson, who later went off injured, received treatment but Mac Allister’s composure never wavered and he stepped up to bury his spot-kick into the top corner. Klopp brought on Salah, who almost immediately made his mark. The Egyptian played an incredible through-ball to Luis Diaz, who shot wide in a 1v1 with Ortega. Less than two minutes later, Diaz missed another big chance, failing to get his shot off in another 1v1 after being set up by Darwin Nunez. There were two more big chances at either end, with Kelleher spreading himself in an Alisson-like action to thwart Phil Foden, while Ortega flung himself at Nunez's close-range effort. But it was City who came the closest to winning it. In the 89th minute, Doku's shot from the left side of the box beat Kelleher, smashed against a post and bounced across goal and out. It was the last meaningful chance of an absorbing contest featuring 29 shots, 19 of which came from Liverpool, who also edged possession. Read the full article

Lyon stun Manchester City to reach Champions League semifinals
Lyon stunned Manchester City on Saturday to qualify for the semifinals of the Champions League, winning 3-1. The French side made the perfect start, stifling Manchester City’s attacking play and eventually taking the lead after 24 minutes thanks to Maxwel Cornet’s inventive finish from just outside the box. In the second half, the English side cranked up the pressure, and the pressure eventually told, as Kevin de Bruyne coolly slotted home to level the score before substitute Moussa Dembélé scored two goals to see Lyon through. Lyon will face Bayern Munich in the semifinal on Wednesday, after the German side advanced to the semifinals on Friday, dispatching Barcelona 8-2.
For the first time since 1990/91, and for the first time in the Champions League era, the semifinal stage will not feature any team from England, Spain or Italy. For the first time in Champions League history, it will feature two teams representing France. Belgian midfielder de Bruyne said that following another heartbreaking exit from the competition, it is “not good enough.” “It’s definitely the same stuff. I think the first half wasn’t good enough,” he told BT Sport after the game. “I think we know that. “We started slow, we had not many options. I think second half, we played really well. We came back 1-1, had a couple of chances and then obviously the 2-1, and then the 3-1 ends the game. It’s a shame for us to go in that way. “The game was open but they didn’t really create except the two goal chances. Yeah, we need to learn. It’s not good enough.” READ: ‘The club needs changes’ Changes on the horizon for Barcelona following Champions League humiliation
With its star players and a big name manager, Manchester City were overwhelmingly favored to beat Lyon. But the French side had showed its resilience in its second leg against Juventus in the previous round, managing to edge past Cristiano Ronaldo and company despite having almost five months without football. GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!!@MDembele_10 marque le 3ème but ! LET'S GO ! #ManCityOL pic.twitter.com/D2ZN5t2PdM— Olympique Lyonnais (@OL) August 15, 2020 And its sturdiness was put to the test from kickoff. Manchester City dominated possession from the first whistle, but failed to create any golden opportunities. And eventually Lyon’s ability to counterattack produced the game’s first goal. A ball played behind the City defence for Karl Toko Ekambi to run on to eventually fell to Maxwel Cornet and, with City keeper Ederson out of his goal, Cornet threaded a magnificent curling shot into the near post from about 20 yards. The rest of the first half played out just as Lyon and manager Rudi Garcia would have planned. Manchester City dominated possession without creating too many clear-cut chances while Pep Guardiola’s team looked susceptible on the break. After the half-time break, the game opened up and following an attacking substitution by Guardiola, City began to create chances at will. And eventually the pressure told, as some nice footwork by England international Raheem Sterling freed him up to lay it back for de Bruyne to finish. It looked like there would only be one winner. However, Lyon’s own super-sub Dembélé thought differently, latching on to a through ball near half-way and finishing under Ederson. A nervy video assistant referee check followed but after a few minutes of waiting, the goal was given.
Although City was behind, it created the better chances and the best of which fell to Sterling. Some clever dribbling and a cross from Gabriel Jesus left Sterling with an open goal from just five yards out, but he sent ball skyward and over the goal. And the miss proved costly. Just 59 seconds later, Lyon had scored again, Dembélé pouncing on a poor save from Ederson to send the French club into the final four for the first time in nearly 10 years. The result means that during Guardiola’s time at the club, Manchester City has failed to make it past the quarterfinal stage of the Champions League. Despite thinking that his side played well for the majority of the game, Guardiola lamented Manchester City’s inability to play without errors in the Champions League. “One day we will break this gap of the quarterfinals,” he told BT Sport after the game. “Except the first 25 minutes where we struggled to find out spaces to attack them more fluidly, the players, they play free.” Visit CNN.com/sport for more news, features, and videos “And the last 15 minutes of the first half was good. The second half was OK, we were there. I had the feeling we were better, but you have to be perfect in this competition in one game and we weren’t.” The 2019-20 Champions League semifinals will see two French teams and two German teams compete for a place in the final; the first time since 2012-13 that there are just two different nations represented at this stage. Pep Guardiola Blasts 'Completely satisfied Flowers' Manchester Metropolis Regardless of Tottenham Hotspur Fightback

Two objectives in three minutes simply earlier than half-time from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal noticed Metropolis staring down the barrel of a second consecutive defeat. Was Sunday the day the Golden Generation’s dreams went up, much like their sleeves, in flames?
An insipid Belgian performance leaves them scrambling to secure their place in the knockout stages, but it wasn’t the most talked about moment of the day, on a day full of shocks and surprises.
But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. We started with a Sunday morning shock as Costa Rica bounced back from their thumping to beat Japan by a goal to nil. Sadly, we had as much confidence in Costa Rica as everyone else did, so our bets all got us off to a losing start - Neil in particular was disappointed to find out that his insurance bet wasn’t at all what he’d hoped it was...
Onto that Belgium v Morocco game now and the phrase ‘a tournament too far’ has been used a few times in this World Cup already - but it definitely applies to Roberto Martinez’s side. Out of ideas, no pace with Kevin de Bruyne off the boil, they were deservedly beaten by Morocco. The 2-0 win gave Alex a victory, but not, perhaps, in the way he was expecting.
When the bets were placed before kick-off, Alex announced that Tom had gone mad with his 5/1 effort on Croatia. But it *seemed* as if it could happen? The glut of goals ruled Neil out early in the second half, but the Croatian corner count slowly reached the threshold. Needing a booking to take the win - the biggest of the tournament so far - Tom hovered over the cash out option for £3.12, which itself would have been the biggest return. Then a Canadian lad overreacted to nothing and pushed someone and Tom over-celebrated at a child’s birthday party and was too ashamed to tell anyone how little he’d won. The Croatian victory also gave Alex his second return of the day too.
Onto Spain v Germany, and a 1-1 draw was the perfect result for Alex and Neil to get some precious funds back for the day. A late wayward Spanish header meant a much needed fourth German corner and a second win for Tom. A day of high drama and it shows in the latest standings.
Alex: £10.70 DOWN Neil: £2.60 DOWN Tom: £1.06 DOWN
A day of profit for Alex, who brought 36p back on top of his stake, while Tom’s return of £8 is record-breaking for 2022. The individual and daily returns are the highest since a dull Friday night on day eight of Euro 2022 when Neil won £6.50 on one match and £9.33 overall.
After today’s fixtures, we’ll be at the halfway mark for the tournament, 32 games played. Here’s what we’re after for day nine.
Alex:
Cameroon v Serbia, both teams to score - 1/1 South Korea v Ghana, Heung-Min Son to have at least one shot on target - 4/11 Brazil v Switzerland, over 1.5 goals in the match - 2/7 Portugal v Uruguay, a red card in the match - 10/3
Neil:
Cameroon v Serbia, under 3.5 goals - 1/4 South Korea v Ghana, South Korea to win and Heung-Min Son to have 1+ shots on target - 15/8 Brazil v Switzerland, Brazil to win - 4/9 Portugal v Uruguay, Portugal to win and Ronaldo 1+ shots on target - 6/5
Tom:
Cameroon v Serbia, Serbia to win or be two up in the game - 8/11 South Korea v Ghana, South Korea to score 1+ goals and 4+ South Korea corners - 10/11 Brazil v Switzerland, over 1.5 goals in game, each team 3+ corners and 30+ booking points in game - 5/4 Portugal v Uruguay, Portugal to win and Ronaldo 2+ shots on target - 5/2

12/1/20 Results
Results:
Aston Villa:1 Man City:6
Bournemouth:0 Watford:3
There were only 2 games on Sunday but 10 goals were scored with 7 of them coming in a record breaking game at Villa Park where Man City moved up to second thrashing Aston Villa 6-1. City showed no mercy as they punished a woeful Villa side going 4-0 up by half time. Riyad Mahrez got the first a low strike at the near post on 18 minutes and he then pounced on a Danny Drinkwater error for the second six minutes later. Sergio Aguero struck a shot into the top corner from the edge of the box for number three on 28 minutes and it was four in first half stoppage time when a world class Kevin De Bruyne cross found Gabriel Jesus at the back post who couldn't miss. City continued their dominance in the second half and just before the hour mark came the record breaking goal as Aguero slotted home from 10 yards to become the top non-English scorer in Premier League history with his 176th goal, his 177th goal came with nine minutes to go when he profited from a lapse in the Villa defence completing his hat-trick his 12th breaking another record for the most hat-tricks in League history one above Alan Shearer. Villa got a consolation in stoppage time when Ilkay Gundogan fouled Trezeguet in the box and Anwar El Ghazi stepped up to score the spot kick. The result means City have won nine of their last 10 games in all competitions but they are still 14 points behind Liverpool who have a game in hand. In the days other game Watford moved out of the bottom three for the first time this season where they are replaced by Villa after a 3-0 win at Bournemouth,Abdoulaye Doucoure gave the Hornets the lead three minutes before the break when he capitalised on a mistake from keeper Mark Travers. Bournemouth couldn't cope with attack after attack but kept the score at one until the 65th minute when the ball fell kindly to Watford skipper Troy Deeney who made no mistake and Roberto Pereyra wrapped up the three points firing home a fantastic volley. The Result is Watford's third consecutive league victory under new manager Nigel Pearson and means Bournemouth slip to 19th after one win in their last 11 league games two points from safety.

Manchester City 2-0 Cardiff: City Swat Aside Toothless Bluebirds
Manchester City lined up in their usual 4-3-3 shape, with Phil Foden making his debut in one of the central midfield roles alongside Kevin De Bruyne. Ahead of a fixture pileup, there was some other rotation from Pep Guardiola as Danilo and Gabriel Jesus started in place of Kyle Walker and Sergio Aguero. Neil Warnock chose to pack the Cardiff midfield with a deep 4-5-1, leaving Kenneth Zohore on the bench in favour of Oumar Niasse.
In truth this wasn’t the most interesting tactical contest, City scythed open Cardiff at will, and didn’t look like they had to get out of second gear to do so. If as lethal a finisher as Sergio Aguero had been on the pitch it could have been 6-0 quite comfortably - City missed some fairly easy opportunities. Cardiff looked resigned to defeat early on, without a cogent gameplan and massively lacking in confidence after their undeserved defeat to Chelsea at the weekend.
City opened scoring in 5th minute, Laporte picked out De Bruyne in the box, who was at a very tight angle and somehow snuck it past Neil Etheridge in the Cardiff goal. Etheridge is a capable goalkeeper and could have stopped the shot, but was too worried about De Bruyne squaring the ball for a tap in, and the Belgian spotted this and took full advantage with a clever finish.
City had been all over Cardiff in the opening minutes, with the Bluebirds not looking to have any idea of how they were supposed to be approaching the game. On the face of it this is a supremely tough match, but no one should be resigned to defeat from the start - there are ways of beating this City side. Some teams sit deep and try to frustrate like Newcastle successfully did in January, some counter attack like Crystal Palace in December, and those who are brave enough press high up to try to steal the ball up the pitch like Liverpool have tended to do in previous meetings. Cardiff didn’t really do any of these and so it’s puzzling as to what their plan was to try to take something from this match. City’s last two defeats have been to other relegation candidates, so it’s not as though they are unbeatable.
Foden making his first start was a big pre-match talking point, and he had a decent game - he was pretty unlucky to not get a goal on his full debut thanks to some good Etheridge saves but it wasn’t a headline-grabbing performance either. It’s hard to say whether this start represented a show of faith from Guardiola, or if he was just supremely confident of beating Cardiff and didn’t feel he needed a full strength side, especially as the fixtures build up for City at the business end of the season. If so, he had a point, City were not troubled in this match, but were guilty of taking it easy a bit too early in the game. At 1-0, they were taking shots from distance and not playing with enough urgency when another goal was needed to kill the game off.
One interesting tactical point was City’s winger-full back combinations, as the two starting pairs represent very opposite styles. Danilo and Riyad Mahrez both like to cut inside, with the former joining as an auxiliary central midfielder at times and the latter just wanting to cut in onto his favoured left foot to take shooting opportunities. Sane and Oleksandr Zinchenko both play extremely wide and high up the pitch, stretching the play. Zinchenko is a converted winger, so his attacking instincts are understandable, while Sane is atypical as modern wingers are concerned, playing on his strong side rather than cutting in like Mahrez and most others. This meant the full backs were doing the same things as their wingers, rather than offering a different option. City’s hand was forced when Zinchenko was taken off with an injury in the first 20 minutes, meaning Kyle Walker came on at right back and Danilo switched to the left, but this actually gave City more balance; Walker overlapped Mahrez, while Danilo came inside and left the left flank free for Sane.
Man City got their inevitable second goal just before half time, a corner fell to Jesus who laid it off to Sane to hit a lovely driven effort into the bottom corner. Although Cardiff had posed zero threat, the goal was necessary to ensure the second half was comfortable and could be played at a slower pace for the home side to conserve energy.
If this is a very Man City focused analysis, it’s because Man City did the vast majority of the interesting things in this match. Cardiff had a couple of corners, neither of which came to anything, their first shot came in the 73rd minute and they only gave the home side a slight scare in the final 10 minutes when Niasse had a chance on a counter attack to halve the defecit. Niasse is a willing runner and will work hard for his team, but he is not prolific enough to feed off scraps or gifted enough to hold the ball up until teammates can support him. Cardiff also only managed 21% possession and 3 shots to Man City’s 27. They played like a side who were already relegated, when in previous games they have clearly shown the necessary fight and desire to cause upsets.
Cardiff’s substitutions were fairly inconsequential, like-for-like changes, with Neil Warnock obviously deciding it was not worth throwing an extra striker on to chase in vain for a couple of goals for fear of taking major damage to their goal difference. Their first change was Mendez-Laing for Murphy. Bacuna and Reid later replaced Gunnarsson and Camarasa.
The second half was a languid affair, with the result already decided. It’s staggering City didn’t get at least one more goal, given their number of efforts on goal and the dominance they had over their opponents. They probably should have had a penalty in the 74th minute when Mahrez was clipped in the area, and on 78 minutes Jesus tried to flick a De Bruyne pass into the goal rather than applying a simple finish. He was offside, but this wasn’t flagged - it’s impressive that he was confident enough to try this trick after already having wasted some similarly easy chances earlier in the game. Unfortunately we didn’t learn much about City in this game, it was as routine as routine wins come.
This was an ideal match for Foden to make his debut in. He had the experience of Fernandinho behind him, and was playing with probably the best central midfielder in the world in Kevin De Bruyne. In addition, this was a home match to a pretty poor team, and he has already made several substitute appearances and starts in the cup competitions, so was familiar enough with the team to be used to his teammates movement. However… he played okay, but not spectacularly. David Silva, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan were all fit and on the bench, and it’s hard not to see City signing a top central midfielder to replace Fernandinho in the summer like they intended to with Fred or Jorginho in previous windows. At minimum, Foden desperately needs a loan move, but should really consider following Jadon Sancho’s example and moving permanently elsewhere. He might one day be good enough to get in this team every week, but he will not get the chances to grow to that level in the next few years if he is barely making the bench each week.
Cardiff look destined for relegation on the basis of this display. Clearly, this is probably the most difficult game they will play all season, away to the reigning champions, but they were completely listless and looked devoid of confidence. They had no plan, and face Man Utd and Liverpool before the end of the season. It’s honestly surprising that they didnt just play their reserves in this match so that the best XI were fitter for the winnable matches they have remaining. A better performance against Burnley in their next match is an absolute must.

Fifa 19 Apk obb data Download
Fifa 19 Mobile football game by EA Sports is now available to Download and play online. Download Fifa 19 Apk obb data today.
Android, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch; IT'S AT With the new shooting options, the Champions League and a mode without crazy rules, the definitive sports sim of the era accumulates another victory Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City jumps to check the ball using the reworked controls of Fifa 19 Silky skills ... Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne jumps to control the ball using Fifa 19's revised controls. Photography: Electronic Arts The Fifa series has adhered to a clear philosophy in the last two decades. Let's call it "Hollywood authenticity". The games seem realistic, the animation is incredibly accurate, the presentation has all the sweet magic graphics that you expect in the Sky TV era. Squint and you can almost imagine that you are watching a real game. Yet, below those that go down in the upper corner, those at the last minute of set-pieces, every game seems somehow created - as if, hidden somewhere and secretly checking each action was a left cabal of the writers by Roy of the Rovers. But that's OK because playing Fifa 19 is a joy: control, fluidity, the sense of possibility from any animation of the graceful character. More than the last few episodes, the action is mawkish and refined. A thrust of speed, a well-timed passage, a sparkle on the left, and the field opens like a theatrical stage. It is electrifying. At the same time, tackling the problem is very difficult, there are more uncertainties at 50/50 balls (in fact you can win a little above the professional level), and there is a nice robust physical engine that means the steps of Overhit and bouncy balls can often act unpredictably, rotating from your player's shin, however skilled he or she is. The game in the open field is open and when you arrive in the penalty area, discover that the shots have also been optimized. Now there is the possibility of making a second timely touch of the shooting button to launch a more decisive shot. It is difficult to get the correct result. In most cases, we recommend taking a basic explosive-and-hope approach, but it is important that Fifa continues to provide more options to the target, in particular with the ever-improving intelligence of defenders. From these intertwined systems of physics, animation and attack range, great goals are possible. There are kicks in the head, of course, but also the headings swooping from the edge of the box. Somehow, I had Andy Carroll score on the first post, using the outside of his foot to curl around a restless keeper with all the calm and sophistication of a young Baryshnikov. It was a treasure thing - and that's what "Hollywood authenticity" means. The real unreal. And, of course, Fifa also talks about its wide range of options. There is the latest episode of The Journey, the interactive TV box series of the game, which now follows Alex Hunter, his sister Kim and his friend Danny Williams through their tortuous careers and giving players control over moments and decisions that change a life. Career mode is barely changed, but the basic multiplayer game option now allows you to choose from a number of fun game options including Headers and Volleyballs and No Rules, where there are no refs or decisions, a kind post-apocalyptic soccer. EA has also brought the Champions League so you can stand on the side of European glory while you're tired of listening to the melody of the operatic theme of the competition. Then there is the Ultimate Team. The online team creation mode, which allows you to create a fantasy side and launch it against others around the world, returns with interface improvements and cosmetics and lots of new player cards. It's still a gripping album of live Panini stickers with a problematic loot-box element that allows real money transactions for randomized prizes. But in reality, this remains a game on the fantasy of elite football. It seems that some of the pernicious increases in ball control and jostling that have been imposed between Fifas 15 and 18 have been attenuated, or at least replaced by systems that are actually fun. Fifa 19 is a game that lacks attention and gives the attackers and defenders the chance to look incredible in equal measure. It allows you to run to the central defenders with a joy of life, chirping the ball around them, but also allows you to slip with a monstrous sliding envelope like Paolo Maldini in the prime of the years. Fifa 19 is a true simulation of modern football: brash and bloated but also slickly professional; sometimes it makes you crazy with its cynicism, others almost make you cry.

I’m writing this update with 78 minutes on the clock in the France v Australia game, so with just 45 minutes to go, I’m taking a real gamble posting this now, but I’m sure it’ll be fine.
Drama eh? Who saw that result coming in the Argentina v Saudi Arabia game? Well, Tom and Alex based on their returns. Alex correctly predicted there’d be enough goals while Tom nailed the Argentine corner count. Neil naively thought Saudi Arabia would lose and was rightly punished.
Absolutely nothing happened in the Denmark v Tunisia game, to everyone’s disappointment. Similarly nothing happened in the Mexico v Poland game, but Alex was broadly supportive of this, having chosen a draw among his betting options.
Then to the France v Australia match. Despite the Aussies taking an early lead, four French goals (there’s now 84 minutes on the clock, so I’m prepared to accept this might not be accurate soon) delivered wins for everybody (again, if Australia go mad in the final minutes, Neil won’t be happy).
So, that final game saw our first triple win of the tournament and completed Alex’s hat-trick for the day with his first three wins of the World Cup. A brace for Tom and just the one for Neil means we’ve all had three a piece from the opening eight.
Here’s how we stand after day three:
Alex: £3.74 DOWN
Neil: £2.03 DOWN
Tom: £3.88 DOWN
It’s not quite been that exciting a start all round. We went very, very timid for day three. It led to a big loss for Neil, who slips out of profit, a middling loss for Tom and a slight profit for Alex. Will day four see us a bit braver? Here’s what we’re after.
Alex:
Morocco v Croatia, Croatia HT, Croatia FT - 2/1
Germany v Japan, over 1.5 goals in game - 1/5
Spain v Costa Rica, over 1.5 goals in game, over 0.5 cards in game, over 4.5 corners in game - 1/6
Belgium v Canada, over 2.5 goals in game - 8/11
Neil:
Morocco v Croatia, in the first ten minutes, no corners, a goal kick taken, each team to take a throw in and a shot on target - 9/2
Germany v Japan, under 3.5 goals - 8/15
Spain v Costa Rica, Spain to score 2+ goals, 5+ Spain corners and 20+ Costa Rica booking points - 6/4
Belgium v Canada, Kevin de Bruyne to have 2+ shots on target - 3/1
Tom:
Morocco v Croatia, Croatia to win or lead by two goals at any point in the game - 1/1
Germany v Japan, Germany to score 1+ goals and 4+ German corners - 1/4
Spain v Costa Rica, Pedri to have at least one shot on target - 6/5
Belgium v Canada, Belgium to score 2+ goals and 5+ Belgian corners - 11/8
Good news. I think France must have won the game because I’m a Celebrity is on. Well done Neil.

My Football Season (Part 2)
Chelsea 1 vs Brighton 1 - 29th December 2021
I was in the East Stand for this one and the atmosphere was very flat indeed with most fan expecting the 'home banker' that Chelsea needed to keep pace with Liverpool & Man City. I was impressed with the 3,000 travelling Brighton fans though, who were noisy throughout.
Things started well from Chelsea perspective, with Lukaku giving them the lead with a header from a corner in the 28th minute, but the performance looked laboured off the back of a tough game at Aston Villa a couple of days prior.
In the second half Brighton took control and went close on several occasions, before a 91st minute header from Danny Wellbeck gave them the point they thoroughly deserved. All in all, a disappointing evening.
Sutton Utd 2 vs Colchester 1 - 4th January 2022
Say what you want about the Papa John's Trophy, but the games are excellent for socially distancing - only 977 at this one. Gander Green Lane is a 'proper' little ground, with porta-cabin loos and a lovely old lady selling cups of tea; it really is what football is all about, even if the quality on the pitch left a little to be desired at times.
Colchester went behind early when a speculative long range shot hit the post and cannoned into the net off the back of on-loan keeper Jake Turner. The U's then started to play a little better, with Skuse & Weredu running the midfield, and found a deserved equaliser when Tom Eastman headed in from a corner.
Sutton took the lead again in the 55th minute though and despite a lot of huffing a puffing, and some squandered chances, Colchester couldn't force themselves level for a second time and take the game to penalties. With my completely feet frozen through, I was grateful for the short journey home to Wimbledon after the game, and have to applaud the 114 that travelled from Essex on a bitterly-cold Tuesday night so close to Christmas.
Manchester City 1 - 0 Chelsea - 15th January 2022
The 12.30 kick-off time meant a very early start for this one; heading up North for what was always going to be a tough game for Chelsea, but a must-win one if they were stay in the title-race. After a couple of sleepy scotch eggs and a cursory flick through Total Film magazine on the train, I was ready. This was my first time at The Etihad; the stadium is impressive, if a little soulless, but I like Manchester as a city, so always good to have the chance to go there.
The Blues defended well on the whole, with City monopolising the ball and pressing hard, as you'd expect at home. The only goal of the game in the 70th minute when Kevin De Bruyne curled in a fine 25-yard shot past the despairing reach of Kepa.
Was left thinking on the train home that, while the scoreline could have been worse, Chelsea also could have made much more of the ball when they had it, with Ziyech and Lukaku especially being poor, and Mount curiously relegated to just 10 minutes off the bench. Oh well, can concentrate on the cup now (as no one ever says).
Sutton Utd 3 vs Colchester 2 - 18th January 2022
Seemingly a glutton for punishment, I made the short trip to Sutton again for the league game, with Colchester in desperate need of points to keep themselves out of the relegation zone. The game got off to a great start with debutant Owura Edwards firing his first goal for the club after just 3 minutes. But Sutton soon equalised and took charge of the game.
Against the run of play though the U's were awarded a penalty when a Sutton defender handled on the line (only the referee will know why he didn't send him off!), which Freddie Sears confidently dispatched. Unfortunately, the way that The U's are defending currently, few were confident that they'd hold on to all three points, and Sutton duly equalised in the 64th minute.
The U's looked to be heading for a extremely valuable point, until they were sunk by a gutting 92nd minute winner. A great away turn out for this one on a cold Tuesday night, the fans deserve better (sigh).
Chelsea 2 - 0 Spurs - 23rd January 2022
Got a last-minute ticket in the Matthew Harding Lower for this one. After a swift couple in the Old Fields pub in Southfields, we jumped on the District Line and made it up the steps just in time for the teams to see the teams come out.
A good atmosphere, as you'd expect from a London derby. A tight first-half with not many chances. Harry Kane had a goal ruled out for a push on Thiago Silva, before Chelsea took control in the second half. A brilliant curler from Hakim Ziyech and a header from Silva giving The Blues the win over Spurs for the third time in a couple of weeks.
AFC Wimbledon 0 - 2 Ipswich Town - 25th January 2022
Got a work crew of people curious to check out the new stadium together for this one. After some pale ales and sausage & mash in The Wandle pub, we made the short (but cold) walk to the ground.
As Ipswich are local rivals with Colchester, this had a bit of extra spice for me, but the first half was one of few chances, with Ipswich having the lion's share of possession, but not creating too much. Wimbledon hit the post in a goal mouth scramble early in the second half, before two goals from Welsh Winger Wes Burns gave Ipswich the win.
The Tractor Boys brought an impressive 1,200 people, on a cold Tuesday night, and I'll begrudgingly say that they deserved the victory. I'm still yet to see The Wombles win at the new stadium, in five attempts, maybe I'll stay away :)
AFC Wimbledon 1 - 1 Sunderland - 12th February 2022
My wait to see Wimbledon wins continues after a heard fought draw against a decent Sunderland side going for promotion.
After a catch up with an old friend, and an excellent Wagu beef burger, at the nearby Pig & Whistle pub, we made the 25 minutes stroll to the station, in time for a couple of 'Crazy Gang' ales before kick-off.
The Wombles took the lead in the 20th minute, Luke McCormick confidently dispatching a penalty after Man City Loanee Callum Doyle was somewhat harshly adjudged to have handled in the area. But the lead didn't last long with Pritchard equalising for the Black Cats with a fine 25 yard free-kick.
Despite a lot huffing and puffing in the second half neither team could find a winner, and the Wombles, winless in 11 games, remain perilously close to the drop!
Liverpool 0 (p) - 0 Chelsea - 27th February 2022 - Carabao Cup Final
A trip to Wembley on a surprisingly warm February evening for this one. After a couple of Budweisers in the fan zone outside, we made our way into the stadium. After a mediocre steak and ale pie on the concourse (I feel there's potential to do so much better with the food there) we made our way to ours seats. To our surprise we found we were sitting in front of Paul Weller (I found myself using his flowing grey locks as a marker to find my way back to my seat throughout the afternoon).
After a slow start the game, the game sprung into life with chances for both sides. Mendy making a great double save, and Pulisic and Mount both missing decent chances for Chelsea. Liverpool thought they'd taken the lead through Joel Matip only for it to be overturned by VAR. Lukaku and Havertz also had goals disallowed for marginal offsides for Chelsea.
The game headed to penalties (annoyingly down the other end). An excellent standard of spot kicks meant it went down to the keepers, and after Kelleher scored his it fell to Kepa (who had come on for Mendy especially for penalties) to keep the Blues in it. Unfortunately he ballooned it high into the Liverpool fans behind the goal, handing Liverpool the trophy.
A very entertaining 0-0, that could have gone either way, meant I wasn't too despondent leaving the stadium. Probably the swiftest journey out of Wembley i've ever had too which also helped ease the pain somewhat.
Chelsea Women 1 - 3 Man City Women - 5th March 2022 - Continental Tyres Cup Final
The short trip to Plough Lane in Wimbledon for this one. A strange wail of feedback and white noise proceeded the National Anthems (the PA sounded extremely ropey thereafter) on what was an unnecessary cold March afternoon. Chelsea took the lead in the first half against the run of play after Sam Kerr mopped up a spilt ball by the City keeper. Manchester City took control in the second half though, with goals by Caroline Weir (2) and Ellen White landing them the trophy.
A good turn out of 8,004, and great to see so many kids and families experiencing the stadium for the first time. Highlight of the day for me was probably the post-match fish & chips from nearby Vintage after the game though.
Bristol Rover 1 - 0 Colchester United - 15th March 2022
After a stroll through Bristol, I had a pre-match IPA and vegan pizza (how hipster) at the Lefthanded Giant in the city centre, before catching a bus out to the Memorial Stadium.
The vibe outside the ground (a live band and stands selling beer & food), was enjoyable, but the stadium itself was pretty no thrills, with the main stand looking more like a cricket pravilion than a stand. The 200 or so U's fans (a good effort for a cold Tuesday night) were housed in an open terrace to the side of the goal.
After a pretty even first-half, with Noah Chilvers and Owura Edwards looking especially lively, Newcastle loanee Elliot Anderson won the game for Bristol Rovers with the only moment of real quality, curing a shot past Shamal George in goal. Colchester put in a valiant effort and had the chances to equalize, but alas it wasn't to be. With just nine games to go, they ended play just 8 points above the relegation zone.
After a tense race against time across Bristol to catch the last train back to London, I eventually got home very sleepy at 1.30am.
Colchester United 0 - 1 Forrest Green Rovers - 21st March 2022
A fantastic gesture by the club to put all the tickets down to a tenner and donate all the money to the Ukraine appeal for this one.
Sadly the U's faltered in front of a bumper crowd and the Sky cameras.
Top of the league Forrest Green took the lead in the 9th minute and had the majority of possession throughout, with the U's lacking the aggression and urgency to win it back. Shamal George made some smart stops to keep the score at one, and although Colchester had some decent spells, they never truly looked like equalizing.
Due to Covid (and living in London) this was my first time at the Jobserve Community Stadium in two and a half years, and it was reminder of what a pain in the ass it is to get to. The free program is a nice touch, but as an overall football experience, it is still sorely lacking.
