WIP Wednesday 6-2-21
Tumblr media
Thanks for the tag, @ao719!
Life has been busy with work, the parentals, my nephew’s birthday AND kindergarten graduation, AND my parents’ 58th wedding anniversary. But I have been fitting in writing where and when I can.
Lap Dance and Friday Night Chat are almost finished. Progress is being made on Dirty Thoughts, Remixed, and the Platinum/TRR crossover. And below are three WIPs NO ONE asked for, but I’m writing anyway.
Disclaimer: everything is a rough draft, and final product may differ.
Everything is under the cut.
A Day in the Life (original, non-Choices related story):
She had overslept, thanks to a late night of Candy Crushing and her mobile’s battery running out of juice overnight, leaving her with no alarm to welcome her to Monday’s 6 a.m. It was not helpful that this Monday, of all days, was one of the most important days in the solicitor’s office where she worked. Her boss, Jonathan Thompson-Baker, was first chair on an investigation into members of Parliament in a case involving fraud, embezzlement, and possible prostitution.
There had been a write-up in The Guardian and BBC coverage for crying out loud. All personnel were expected to be in the office, and as Old Man Thompson’s personal secretary, Vic was to set the standard. Calling out was not an option.
Traffic had been horrible as Vic maneuvered her 10-year-old Mini Cooper through tight streets, making her way from her East End flat to South Kensington. Blackwell was a decent enough neighborhood, but it did have some gritty sections.
At least it wasn’t Hackney.
With one hand clutching the steering wheel and the other haphazardly shoving a breakfast of kippers and crisps into her mouth, Vic checked her reflection at traffic stops and red lights.
It wasn’t looking good.
Her shoulder-length blondish-brown hair hung limp and damp; the overpriced volumizing shampoo wasn’t working.
Her green eyes were bleary behind the lenses of her tortoise-shell glasses.
A breakout of pimples on her cheeks signaled that it would soon be time for her monthly visit with Mother Nature.
Her lips were thin, dry, and cracked without lipstick. Vic was closer to 40 than 30, and this morning she looked every minute of it.
Out of Time (TRR sci-fi AU)
The Night Before the Royal Wedding
“Everything changes tomorrow,” Liam murmured as he stared up at an ink black sky. Stars twinkled and glittered; the full moon bathed the woods in a silvery light. The night air was cool with the lightest of breezes.
The King and future groom was lying on his back in the woods that backed onto the rear of the Palace with his three closest friends. Drake’s cabin was exactly one mile east of the copse of trees they were sitting in; it was known as Caspian’s Crossing.
The legend was that Caspian was coming through the woods, on his way to meet his lover from a warring clan at a beach bordering the Azure Sea when he was captured by the Elders of his tribe and declared both disloyal and dishonorable. Caspian struggled and fought to no avail. Before he was marched back to his village to be put to death, the Elders offered to spare his life in exchange for the name and location of his lover; Caspian refused.
He knew they would kill her as well.
Standing before his fellow villagers, his head held firmly in the grip of the lunette of a guillotine, Caspian’s last wish was for his love to know how much he loved her. He whispered her name with his last breath.
His lover cried so many tears over his not showing and probable demise, they built a waterfall known as Forgotten Falls. Caspian’s love was now known as the Lady of Waterfall, granting her blessing to all the lovers who plunged from her heights.
Over the centuries, it was rumored that when the moon was full and the planets aligned just so, Caspian would appear to grant heart’s desires; however, Liam, Drake, Maxwell, and Olivia had been coming to the woods since they were teenagers and had never seen anyone or anything other than the occasional wild creature.
What Remains (Driam)
The pendulum of the grandfather clock swung to and fro; the ticking of its hands across the dial sounding like a hammer hitting marble. It was too loud. Or perhaps the room was too quiet.
The man squinted into the dim light of the shadowy room as he looked around. The curtains were still parted despite the rapid onset of dusk; the day’s earlier sunshine which had mocked him was making its way to the other side of the world.
He wandered over the to the nightstand, reaching for the tumbler of liquor with one hand; he shoved his free hand into his pant pocket. The alcohol burned his throat while tears burned his eyes. He knew his friends … their friends ... had returned from running errands and were in the kitchen, cooking. He could smell something savory and garlicky through the closed door.
He wasn’t hungry.
His eyes fell on the picture that his lover had always kept on the bedside table. It was them in silhouette, foreheads touching and arms encircling each other’s waist.
“I want it to be the first thing I see in the morning,” his lover explained with a blush on his cheeks.
“Even before me?” the man had asked in mock hurt.
“Nothing comes before you,” his lover murmured before pulling him in for a kiss.
And now he was gone.
Forever.
Not sure who to tag here since I STAY coming late to a party, so if you see this and wish to share some snippets, please do!

026 | July 27, 2021 Bronx, New York ❝Beauty holds no Gender.❞
It screams, "Love knows no discrimination, Be Kind!". And here we have another fantastic collection from Kurt Geiger London. They released a Rainbow Collection dedicated to pride month. I know it's a little too late, but these designs and colours are sure to make it to the classic hall of fame. Kurt Geiger is well known for its footwear. They always have these comfy yet chic style sandals or boots. They also have a backpack in this collection, and what's great about the backpacks are they're made from 100% recycled materials. Good for you and the environment.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are a total of 120 products in the collection. It is consist of Bags, Footwears, Sunglasses, Hoodies, Caps, Phone Cases and Tumblers. The majority of them are metallic, but some bags are made out of linen and fabric, which gives out a soft rainbow colour. I really love Kurt Geiger for the chunky chains on the Kensington bags. It's very edgy, modern, and stylish. Young adults and teenagers can use them in their everyday life since it's easy to mix and match.
I really love the footwear from this collection. I would definitely check on Kurt Geiger for their future collection. I'm really grateful that they sent me the whole collection. I would wear the bags loud and proud.

Catch as Catch Can : Jack and SJ
South Kensington, London in the wee hours of the morning and Sarah Jane Smith was up to no good.  She was dressed for it to, in what she thought of as her burglar’s outfit, black from top to toes.
What she had in her favor was that the National History Museum was a rather large building.  Even if they were running video, it seemed unlikely that even Torchood would have enough hands on board to keep an eye on every corner of the place.  Sarah Jane Smith sat in the dark on the back stairs by the loading bay, tongue in her teeth as she picked at the lock to the kitchens.  The laser beam security system was easy enough for her to foil.  They might be cutting edge on Earth, but out in Time and Space, she’d seen them more than once and seen how the Doctor set up mirrors just so.
Six tumblers later the door coughed, sighed and opened.  An earthy whiff became clear.  Earthy indeed. That was a good sign for now.  Sarah Jane had broken in to the small kitchen that ran the cafe that was next to the gift shop to the Museum.  Salads and fancy cuts of salmon.  Chocolate parfait’s and little sugar candies that had poorly rendered masterpieces dyed haphazardly through.  Bratwurst for crackers.  She made her way through a small sea of large wheeled laundry hampers and swam to open ground.  She had her torch dimmed behind her hand, but flashed it about quite boldly, hearing the silence but for heated pipes softly hissing.
If she was right about what was on the fourth floor, she might just be able to save the Earth from invasion.  Well, expansion of invasion.  She feared they were already here.

Chapter 2: Homeward Bound
And each town looks the same to me The movies and the factories And every stranger's face I see Remind me that I long to be Homeward bound I wish I was Homeward bound
Simon and Garfunkel
The subdued ping indicated that the captain had switched the seatbelt sign off and it was safe to walk around the cabin. Not that Jamie had any intention of doing that. The luxury of a business class seat meant that for once, he didn’t have to spend the entire flight with his legs folded and his shoulders hunched, trying to somehow fit into the space allocated to an economy passenger. No, for this entire flight, he planned on stretching out on his wonderfully reclining seat as much as possible, preferably with a glass in his hand.
He sipped his glass of champagne and wiggled his toes appreciatively, now clad in the soft sleep socks provided by the airline. The business class ticket from Dulles back to the UK was an indulgence, but, for once, Jamie felt he deserved it. Eight years he’d been away in America. Eight years with only fleeting trips home, little time to spend with his sister and her ever-expanding family. But the breeding programme he’d been working on in Kentucky was now inextricably linked with the breeding at the Lallybroch stables, providing much needed stability for the Fraser family business. The time was finally right for him to return home, back to Lallybroch for good.
His father’s heart attack, six months before, had made Jamie realise how much he was missing and how much he wanted to come home. Although his father was now making a good recovery, Jamie’s stomach turned over as he remembered the panicked phone call from his sister Jenny in the middle of the night and the mad dash to the airport for a plane, any plane to bring him across the Atlantic and then to Scotland. That heart attack had been a bolt from the blue, catching the whole family unawares.
Jamie’s mind began to wander. If things had been different, maybe she might have picked up some symptoms, detected the heart problem earlier. No... he stopped his traitorous mind from going down that path.
Accepting a top up of champagne from the passing steward, Jamie thought about his plans. Once he’d caught up with his family, he knew he had to spend time reconnecting with his old friends. He had kept in touch over the years -- emails, the odd FaceTime conversation, a fleeting visit -- but it was never the same as actually being around all the time, dropping by for a coffee, a quick pint or dram in the pub, making last minute plans for a run. He had a lot of time to make up.
There was one connection from eight years ago that Jamie knew he would not be looking to reestablish. When he first arrived in America, he thought about her all the time. He lived in a state of expectation, convinced she would ring or email, admitting she had made a mistake and would come to him. He caught glimpses of her in every crowd, only to be disappointed when he got closer. As time went by, his disillusionment grew until he finally accepted she would not be reaching out to him. So he trained himself never to think about her, never to wonder what she was doing, never to ponder on what might have been. And if, after a couple of drinks, he found himself tempted to Google her name or search through social media, he quickly sought out alternative diversions.
There had been a few alternative diversions during Jamie’s time in America. All very willing and pleasant enough, but ultimately very one-sided. Each one ended with no regret or sense of loss on his part. His heart had healed nicely and he intended to keep it that way.
As the cabin lights dimmed, Jamie pulled the blanket over him and settled down for a nap. As he was pulled deeper and deeper into sleep his mind wandered, random images crowding his brain… horses in a field… his father relaxing in his study… light reflecting through a whisky tumbler… being put to bed drunk… the scent of lavender hand cream… soft hands against his cheek… a mop of brown curls on the pillow next to him…
Awake, Jamie could stamp out these thoughts, prevent them from taking root, but asleep, well, his mind would not let him forget.
*************
Claire had been pleased but not a bit surprised by Mrs. Fitz’s powers of persuasion. A little chat with Lamb over a couple of cups of her cherished Fortnum and Mason Royal Blend tea, poured from the Royal Palaces bone china teapot (purchased on a recent trip to Kensington Palace) had convinced him to rent out the house for a maximum of two years, at which time his finances should have returned to a healthier position.
With that battle won, Claire then encouraged her uncle to contact all the creditors and agree monthly repayment plans. All this was dependent, of course, on finding tenants for the house.
Although she decided not to say anything to Lamb, she was still worried. Their house, even in an appealing suburb of Glasgow, was an acquired taste. On the one hand, the high ceilings, elegant sash windows and very large garden would be attractive to prospective tenants, but the downside was the sheer size of the six bedroomed Edwardian villa and its associated running costs. It was true what she had told him, most of the similar properties in the vicinity had been converted into blocks of flats frequented by young professionals. She still believed the logical decision was to sell. However, that was not her choice to make.
The reaction of the letting agent did not inspire confidence either. After he was shown around the entire house, making copious notes and taking many pictures on his phone all the while, Claire waited patiently while he appeared lost in thought, contemplatively sucking air through his teeth. Finally, he quoted a figure suitable for monthly rental before issuing a caveat.
“Ye ken, this may no’ be that easy tae rent out. It’s an awfa big house, sae many bedrooms. Would mebbe suit a family wi’ five or six bairns, and ye dinna see many of those around these days.” He sighed. “We’ll do our best… but would ye no’ consider selling? There are builders who would jump at the chance tae own a property like this.”
Claire smiled, her most reassuring smile guaranteed to calm the nerves of patients and their loved ones. “I’m sure you’ll do your best, Mr. Shand. I have every confidence in you.”
********
Claire’s confidence seemed to be misplaced. A fortnight went by before she heard from Mr. Shand again. She was at her desk dictating patient letters when Mr. Shand rang her with an update.
“Ms Beauchamp, jes’ tae give ye some news,” he began. “I have had some interest in yer house and I’m arranging a viewing. I dinna ken if ye wanted tae show them around or leave it tae me?”
“Well, if I’m free I’d be more than happy to do it. Depends when it is.” Claire reached for her large desk diary.
“They said they would like tae view this Saturday, afore the rugby if possible.”
Claire flicked to the page. “That seems to be fine with me. Who are they? Is it a large family?”
She could hear Mr. Shand flicking through papers in the background. “Weel, no. It’s jes’ a couple. What drew them tae yer house is the garden. They have been living abroad for a few years but are returning home and want a place near the city centre but wi’ a bit of green about them. Perhaps they feel they will miss the wide open spaces, ye ken. Anyway, I believe they are no’ long married. Their name… Fraser… Mr. And Mrs. Fraser.”
Suddenly Claire felt the contents of her stomach rising up. Swallowing hard to quell the nausea, the phone slipped from her hand and clattered to the floor. Scrambling to retrieve it with fingers refusing to cooperate, she could hear Mr. Shand calling her name.
Breathlessly, she managed to pick the phone up and speak, her voice hoarse. “Sorry, Mr. Shand, I just dropped my phone. I’m sorry, I was looking at the wrong date. I’m afraid I won’t be at home on Saturday after all. Sorry, could you do the honours?” She cringed at her repeated apologies.
Claire folded her arms on her desk and rested her head on them, trying to calm her breathing. For god’s sake, it had been eight years, she would not have expected him to remain celibate. Getting married was not unusual and it would no doubt make bringing a partner to live here much easier from an immigration point of view. But did he not recognise the address? Had he forgotten all about her, or did he just not care?
Sitting up straight, she tried to think logically, not jump to conclusions. She lived in Scotland, where the surname Fraser was not exactly rare. There must be thousands of couples with that name. It wouldn’t be her Fraser.
Claire had not even thought about him in the past few years. Gone were the days when she lay in bed longing for his touch, sleeping with her phone on the pillow in case he rang to apologise. Her heart never skipped a beat when she caught a glimpse of fiery red hair in a crowd of people. She never found herself religiously watching Scottish rugby matches wondering if, across the Atlantic Ocean, someone else was watching too. She only kept his faded old rugby shirt because it was so comfortable to sleep in… there was no other reason at all.
Claire was a honest person, she prided herself on it. And she was… very honest… at work, with friends, with her uncle.
The only person she regularly lied to was herself.

Kate’s 300 followers challenge
Tumblr media
300 followers; this calls for a celebration! And how better to celebrate this SPN blog that is about fanfiction and fanart, than to host a challenge!
Tumblr media
The Theme:
The Unofficial Soundtrack of Supernatural
So many songs remind me of Supernatural and fit their amazing journey perfectly, but where never used on the show. That’s why I build a list of a 100 of my favorite songs that instantly make me think of the beautiful characters of this series.
The Challenge:
Pick a song from the list and take out either a line, a verse or use the entire song for your fanfiction or fanart. Write, paint, draw or edit the song into the story that you are telling.
The Rules:
Both written art and graphic art can participate, as long as it’s Supernatural related. Poems, fanfiction, drawings, graphics, video, you name it. The creator is completely free to choose. You are allowed to pick more than one song, too!
Send me a message with your choice of song. I will update the original post as soon as possible once people will send in their picks.
Mention the song at the top of the post or in the title.
No Wincest. No Smut!Weechester. Not that I am against anyone writing it, but I would like to read and review every entry, and I don’t read this type of ships because they are not my thing. Other ships like Saileen, Destiel, Deanna, Megstiel, Reader x ... etc. are fine.
You can create fluff, angst, smut, reader insert, OFC. Knock yourself out. Do remember to list trigger warnings at the top of your post.
For the writers: there is no minimum or maximum to words. When your story is over 500 words, remember to use the ‘Keep reading’ option.
When you use imagery (or even just gifs), remember to stick to the Tumblr guidelines. It would be a shame if anything got flagged.
I would like to be able to read and check out all the beautiful things you all are going to create, so use the tag #Kate’s 300 followers challenge.
I will reblog all the artwork that stick to the rules above.
The Challenge ends on July 27th 2019. That gives you 3 months!
The List:
The list can be found on Spotify. Type ‘Kate’s 300 followers challenge’ in Spotify’s search engine to find it, or click the link. *CLICK*
You can also find the list if you scroll down and click ‘Keep reading.’
Tumblr media
I cannot WAIT to see all you wonderful entries! This is gonna be so much fun. Bring it, people! Bring me all the wonderful art you girls and boys create.

They said the memorial was unplanned. Have Kensington Palace aids been looking at your tumbler and saw you say this tour so far has no substance?
It was unplanned? She packed funeral clothes for no reason--oh, who am I kidding? All her clothes are funeral clothes.

Travel Diary: Berlin, Germany
Hurray! Another entry into my travel diary.
I've been to Germany before (back in 2008) but only to Frankfurt. It was beautiful there but I had a very traumatic experience with airport security that turned me off of Germany for years.
I'll post a storytime or something eventually about it. Maybe.
Nine years later, I'm being sent to Germany for work and a different city, so I immediately jumped to the opportunity. Like I said in my previous post, I've always wanted to have a job that would allow me to travel the world. I didn't know that it was going to happen so soon! I spent three days in Berlin — Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
S U N D A Y
I came in around noon and headed straight for my hotel — Hotel One Spittlmarkt. It's modern design and open concept really made me feel comfortable even just hanging out in the lobby area. I ended up spending some time there just chatting on Skype with my boyfriend. He makes a cameo in my YouTube video!
To make use of the rest of the afternoon, my friend and I walked over to The Memorial To The Murdered Jews of Europe (Holocaust Memorial) and the Brandenburg Gate to take some photos.
Of course, I would stop by the Starbucks located right outside of it to pick up some tumblers and a drink that we don't have in Canada. I was amused when I said my name and they spelled it as Kimil. I like seeing the way other cultures would interpret my name.
That night, we went to Hackerschien and stopped at a restaurant called Oxymoron for dinner. So yum.
M O N D A Y
I spent the morning and afternoon at a conference I was attending for work. After that, I went thrift shopping by Mauerpark and to my disappointment, I picked up absolutely nothing. The shops were very similar to thrift shops that we have here in Kensington Market in Toronto.
I headed back to the hotel to change for dinner with the company / evening drinks on a rooftop bar. The view from the top was gorgeous!
T U E S D A Y
Again, I spent the day at the conference but this time right after, I put my shopping game into play. I headed to the small boutiques close-by where I found cute jewellery pieces from Mint, and then hailed a cab to get to the Mall of Berlin where I spent $$$ at COS. Too bad I didn't know we had a store at Yorkdale Mall so I didn't even take exchange rate into account.
After walking around for an hour or so, we decided to grab dinner. I was missing the taste of North American food so I ordered American steak.
& That's the entire recap of my time in Berlin. I feel like I really got to see so much within the small time-span that I was there. It was also super nice to see how our company's sister location functioned and what their office looked like. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to go on the trip, and I would recommend Berlin again for any travellers. Especially Hackescher Markt.
Where's your next destination?

Unwelcome
Since there is apparently zero fan fiction about this pair, I have taken it upon myself to hastily throw together something to tide myself over ‘til next week’s episode. All mistakes are my own- I really shouldn’t write after midnight! But alas, I’m obsessed!! So enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own nothing. But Sonya Wagler did retweet me once so, you know…
Takes place right after Season 2, episode 4 finished!
Have fun! Also if someone can think of a ship name??? That’d be great!
—
Unwelcome
The knock on the door was unwelcome and surprising, although after the evening she’d just had, perhaps surprising wasn’t word. Perhaps after the night she’d had, this unwelcome banging on her hotel room door was merely…unexpected. Nothing could surprise her after tonight.
Margot swung her legs off her bed and placed the empty tumbler she’d been nursing on the side table. Letting out a sigh, she closed her eyes; willing the knocking to stop.
“Oh bugger off!” She yelled finally. Her hands gripping the edge of the bed as the banging halted.
“It’s me.” The muffled male voice had her questioning the next words out of her mouth.
“Go away!”
“Margot!”
“Not now.” She whispered to herself, hanging her head. Breathing deeply, she opened her eyes again and stared at the door. The last thing she needed tonight was another…child.
“Margot?” The voice questioned again.
Running her fingers through her blonde curls, she let out another shaking breath. Fine.
The tiles of the modern room were cold against her bare feet and she made her way to the door faster than she’d intended to as a result.
Swinging open the door, the smirk that falls onto her face, doesn’t skip a beat. This is Margot Bishop, Head of the Kensington Firm.
“What do you want, Daniel?” She demanded rudely. Danny merely smiled, hanging on her door frame.
“I wanted to see you.” Margot fought a smile, hating his dropping by, and yet, for some reason, she was mildly excited at the prospect of spending another salacious night with him.
“Well, I don’t have don’t have time for anymore children tonight, so-” Margot snapped back as Danny pushed his way passed her and into the suite. Annoyed; she ran her fingers through her hair again, closing the door and leaning back against it. Danny turned and she gave him a pointed look. He smirked back.
“Children?” He questioned mockingly. “I wouldn’t call what we did this afternoon childish, would you?” Danny began moving back toward her, shrugging his leather jacket off and slinging it onto her couch. Margot folded her arms across her chest, the silk of her nightgown sliding across her skin.
“I was referring to the significant age difference, actually.” She replied smartly, cocking her head to the side.
Danny chuckled, walking closer still.
“Didn’t take you for one to care about age?”
“Normally, I could careless, but due to recent…” Margot paused, grimacing, “maternal allegations, let’s say I’m a little touchy.” She sassed back.
“Oh, the Mommy problem.” He countered.
Blowing out a breath of air, Margot grumbled. “Yes, the Mummy problem.” She rolled her eyes.
“It’s kinda hot, you know?” Danny’s voice dropped as he finally reached her, his hands grasping at the tie of her silk robe. Their eyes locked blue on brown, daring, pushing for someone to make the next move. Margot released a breath, letting her arms fall to her sides, and letting him pull the shimmering material apart and press his mouth against her throat.
Tensing beneath him, she placed her hand on his chest, stopping his advance, if only for a moment.
“I thought I was a bitch?” She whispered into his ear. Danny leaned back and flashed another toothy grin.
“That’s kinda hot too,” Margot smiled as Danny moved his hands to her throat, his brown eyes once again boring down into her shining blue.
He kissed her then, hard, his mouth moulding against hers, his hands tilting her head back. And suddenly, the fire was lit. They were back in that moment only a few nights ago when he forcefully asked her his name and she’d screamed it over and over. Danny gripped her hips, shoving her hard against the door and lifting her as she wrapped her legs around him.
The kiss was messy, all tongues and teeth and fighting for dominance. Her hands found the hem of his shirt and he used his hips to pin her to the door as he scrambled to help her divest himself of his clothes.
Finally free of his t-shirt, Danny broke the kiss, moving his lips down to her neck. Margot gasped. The boy may be young, but, Good Lord, he sure knew what he was doing. His long, tanned hands found their way into her robe, his fingers skimming over her bare flesh.
“Bed!” She mumbled, arching her back as his lips trailed lower still. “Take me to bed!” She gasped.
“Am I staying the night?” Danny questioned cockily against her skin.
“You bloody well better be!” She shot back and Danny scraped his teeth across her throat and moaned his approval. As Danny moved his hands to her thighs to maneuver her to the bed, a thought occurred to her. Suddenly that unwelcome surprise, didn’t seem so unwelcome after all.

Final Evaluation//
The project was entitled Home and was very interesting and enjoyable. I liked the way that i could link personal opinions and ideas in a way which allowed me to produce an outcome that is personal to me and that I am very proud of. We stared this project as soon as we returned from our christmas holiday by going to Central London to South Kensington and visiting Leighton house and the Design museum to attend the User,Maker, Designer exhibition. First we took a trip to the Leighton house, the house was interesting and featured a lot of Ottoman Turkish influences which I found fascinating as I could relate to them. The beautiful house featured many large rooms filled with plates, hand woven carpets and statues. I disliked some areas of design in the house such as the randomly positioned roman sculptures on the inside balcony. Next we went to the design museum where we saw many objects which came about at the turn of the century and showcasing how designers revolutionised everyday life. I enjoyed the revolution of shoes display the most as I could name all the shoes and appreciate their design and the way they evolved. The exhibition at the design museum was a little small and the navigation around the exhibition was confusing as noting lead on to another. Next I looked at some of the artist from the exhibition and one of my own. I looked at Jan Piennkowski’s work and created a simple flip book of a structure. I then proceeded to look at a huge inspiration and artist of my own and looked at Kanye West’s Yeezy Seasons 1,2,3 and 4. I looked a Kanyes work as he creates oversized, distressed clothing similar to those that homeless people may be depicted wearing. Since i was looking at home, and the homeless and also relating to fashion Kanye Wests YZYSZN was perfect. After looking at Kanye wests work I then designed three outfits based on Season 3. Furthermore I proceeded to recollect all of my final piece ideas and began to collage them in order to begin to finalise my piece. I looked at many sources including gucci AW16/SS17, Thrasher, Kanye Wests personal clothing etc. I then started sketching up ideas for this final piece and produced a few basic sketches which I quickly discarded as they were too simple and did not deliver my emotions and thoughts across. Once I settled for my final two designs I set out to make the pieces. One was entitled slice of mind and featured flames on the sleeves and my thoughts an opinions plastered over the jacket with permanent marker. This piece is very special to me as it contains my emotions and I have placed a lot of energy into it, the flames represent society volatile nature to those who have awake minds. For my second piece I was inspired by as moment that truly touched me and effected the way I perceive the world around me. I was outside the luxury department store Harrods in South Kensington surrounded by extreme financial wealth and as I saw millions of pounds of cars pass me I observed a homeless man. Head in his hands and not moving, completely static. He was perched up against the wall of Harrods. This moment stuck with me and will continue to do so as it made me aware of the inequality and corruption of the very world around us. Present from the moment we open our eyes in the morning to the moment we shut them at night. This moment inspired me to create a heavy distressed jacket which looked useless and scruffy on the outside however the little windows in the distressing revealed a delicate paisley pattern lining. I proceed to go in depth in my tumbler blog concerning the processes of both pieces. This piece stands for perception, how people with the brightest minds can end up in the most horrific situations and how the most greedy, vicious ones can stay at the top. Overall I am extremely proud of all my work and mainly the both pieces which I created as they took a lot of time, dedication and thought. I actively use and wear both pieces and have received many complements especially when I wore them to Central London to do the photoshoot for both pieces. I am also considering wearing one of these pieces to the upcoming London Fashion week which I will be attending and looking forward to.

What Makes a Master Locksmith?
Locks and opening of locks have been a fascination for the entire world populace since time immemorial. Locks have the value of intrigue as they conceal objects, protect them and establish ownership by belonging only to the person who owns the key to their unraveled world however the last statement might not hold good for long as the advent of locksmiths are here to stay and with a profound know how of locks and locking systems anyone can open any lock, the era of locksmiths can be dated back to the age of the Egyptian domination where locksmiths were given special privileges as they were considered as harbingers of good luck owing to the fact that these locksmiths could open all locks specially so locks to chests and treasure trunks.
Locksmiths have evolved into a very ethical and credible group of people who usually don't pick locks for people unless the property that is locked is owned by the person who is asking for the locksmith's services or if they have the permission of the owner to pick the lock. Locksmiths go beyond just picking locks, they also extend their services to installation of security systems at workplaces and residential quarters, and they also deal with high end security solutions with instruments like sensors and radars.
What does it actually take to b a master locksmith? Well the first and foremost thing is a passion to open locks, a thirst and an urge to go beyond the physicality of a lock. Whether it is Robert Barron who patented a double-acting tumbler lock in 1778 or Joseph Bramah who filed a patent for his safety lock in 1784 which was rendered unpickable for 67 years; Jeremiah Chubb who in 1818 patented a special variety of a detector lock or the very famous James Sargent who explained the concepts behind the first successful key-changeable combination lock in 1857 all these experts had an undying passion to make, break and improvise locks for passion of the art and to be of service to humanity in as small a way as is possible. A master locksmith understand that locks have different varieties of interiors, they must have a thorough know how of both Bored cylindrical lock and Mortice lock, the two varied approaches to locking mechanisms, work and utilize their knowledge to the best of their ability to build the locks and locking systems most suitable for their professional needs and the needs of their clients.
The best way to becoming a master locksmith is to try and be a learner for a stipulated period of time and learn and understand all that is there to lockpicking. Locksmiths are no longer people who merely break open old locks, their services in our modern times have advanced with technology and they have extended their scope of work to tasks that include manufacturing, installing and maintaining security devices such as key cards, flash security and id cards, voice and bio identification security systems, biometric finger print analyzers. Moving on from being general locksmiths now the era of specialization has also started therefore it is critical that a master locksmith is up to date with technological advancements and can think out of the box for solutions to locking and security problems. Books are a major source of knowledge that locksmiths can make use of, they can also harness on the advantages of the internet. There are also institutions that now offer short term and long term courses for locksmiths, this can be a great step towards being a better locksmith.
A master locksmith is not the result of an overnight decision or preparation; it takes time effort and sustained interest in constantly improving the cause of locksmiths to get there. With the abundance in available support it should not be a daunting task to achieve a master status in locksmithing. Regular reading, constant practice and divergent thinking contribute a great deal to the cause of better locksmiths. A deep love for the subject, a firm foot on technical and technological advancements that can be used in favor of locksmiths and a nature of intrigue towards locksmithing can all go a long way in making a master locksmith.
